Sleeping Diamond Chapter 5

A Sudden Thought

Takato, the young Tamer was minding his own business, a stroll within the well hidden home of the Renamons as he would call it. It was strange for the boy; he woke up for his summer vacation, asked to become housekeeper for the Nonakas and now dragged into the Renamon village. One would say he is lucky but then how should he be called lucky at this moment.

"Man, hidden from everyone, they sure are cautious" Takato comments as he signs. He insisted on walking out of the home that Renamon, or Reyna as her real name was, grew up in, wanting to see more of the village. And true to the face, it was full of Renamon digivolutions. It was a marvel to see as Renamons, of either gender move to and fro as he walked by.

Most of those he passed looked at him, but that was an understatement. Many a female rushed towards him, smiling some as Renamons, Kyubimons and some of the Taomon priestesses approach the young boy with their intentions clear. "Please, be my mate!" "Oh Savior of the Digital World" "Please make me pregnant with your children" And surprising enough the Taomons ask the same thing when they were to be respected as pure.

Takato, as much as he could, tried his best to smile, raise his hands in defense and get out of the crowd of females. He laughed a bit as he apologized to each and every lady, even the priestesses, as he's not entirely ready for adulthood, not even fatherhood. He apologizes as much as he could to each one as he is too young to do so with them. The crowd of ladies slowly but surely dispersed as they were said no from the young boy.

The priestesses themselves confirmed to the many that as his age compared to them was that almost to a Viximon about to mature. Those who had listened signed but kept their smiles on as they all stated that they shall wait when he was ready. Now Takato knew they were right, compared to an average human's lifespan, they would see it as another year in their perspective. The crowd was soon gone in an instant as the boy was left on his own and a few of the Taomon priestesses.

He felt so small with them around but he did not take much consideration as the tall ladies started to gossip one another, peaking at him once in a while as giggles fly by their lips. "Well, it's life... their life..." Takato commented under his breath as he walked, the priestesses following behind. The village was clean, dirt ground, pathways through the old looking but new village as they try to look like the era they wanted it to look. As such, wooden houses, tall stone walls or fence high and even respectable ponds here and there.

It was a sight to behold, even with the inhabitants being digital monsters. It was like having a trip back in time in Takato's own mind, a smile escaping his lips but his train of thought, and the Taomon priestesses, was broken when shouting came from one particular house.

"Get out of my home you RUNT!" Shouted a deep and sharp voice as a scene was happening just so at one of the houses. Before long, a young looking Renamon, whose body seems so thin and weak as he was kicked and tossed out to the ground, out of the home was a very angry Kyubimon was looking him down. "You get out of here you damn runt. You are a disgrace to this family and I don't want to see you again you damn runt!" The Kyubimon shouted some to the malnourished looking Renamon who was down on the floor.

The young Renamon only stood, his face frowning at the Kyubimon who, Takato can guess, was his father. The young Renamon did not answer back and did not even try to fight back at the Kyubimon as he just went his way, going away from everyone. Before anything else could escalate, the Taomon priestesses saw the event and were quick to approach and lecture the Kyubimon father. All the while the young and weak looking Renamon walked on, his head low as he made his way to a destination that Takato did not bother to think as he followed.

As the walk went on, so did the houses thin out as they were soon at more farmland areas, some Renamons and Kyubimons worked on crops that Takato could not even bother to think as he was trailing the weak looking Renamon from earlier. It was not a few moments later that they reached the boundary of the unknown data that surrounds the village. Takato saw the young Renamon lean on it as if it was solid rock, but considering its purpose, it was not a threat to the village.

The Renamon soon sat on the floor as if defeated, a sigh of sadness and lonesome escaping as he looks up at Takato. Takato just smiles, thinking it would cheer the young Renamon. "And why would the savior of the Digital world, be following the weakest of our generation of Renamon?" He said, his voice tired, shaky and weak as Takato's smile vanish with the way and the mood of his voice was.

The young tamer just sat a few stones away from him as he sat down. "I wanted to know why you are called a runt, kicked out of your home and I wanted to cheer you up" Takato answered with all honesty which the Renamon laughs about. "Well, at least you were honest." The young Renamon began. "The name's Raylock, and you've seen my dad, the Kyubimon, Raylight. I was kicked out because I was the weakest of our generation, which my dad expressed with disgust, calling me runt." Raylock soon explained to the curious young tamer.

"Now, in accordance with my father's "rule" on the family, he wanted me out. Even my mother, brothers and sisters wanted me out as I was the weakest." Raylock went on with his explanation, noting that he was going to leave this world or worlds so to speak, which peaked at Takato's interest. "Leave the worlds? But you're just in your own world, there's the human world, but you say it as if leaving everything all at once?" Takato asked with his own curiosity building, forgetting his original reason for trailing him.

Before Raylock could answer, a mysterious portal opens, its blacks, purple and indigo swirls on and on until a body started to exit from it. Takato was shocked but Raylock was not, as if it was a common sight to him. A foot was appearing then the whole leg and before the young tamer knew it as human boy, with curly black hair, medium brown skin and normal white shirt on blue jeans appeared from it. He looked at the Renamon with a smile on his lips and with a tone that was deep yet childish and mature at the same time spoke.

"You ready to leave your life Raylock?" He said, pointing at the portal behind him. But his gaze soon crossed with Takato's which his smile disappeared and his brows move in wonderment, "Takato Matsuki?" He spoke, catching Takato off guard. "You know me? But who are you?" Takato spoke in a rush as he and even Raylock soon stood up. "He knows a lot of things, though, he's not all-knowing and he happens to be the one letting me live a different life." Raylock spoke with confidence as if familiar with the boy in question.

Before Takato can make heads-or-tails on this event Raylock stood beside the mysterious boy while facing the tamer. "So, will I have a better life than now?" Raylock asked the boy and with a smile from him and his finger up to the sky, both Renamon and tamer looked to see a marvel that was not noticed until now. From up, out of the hidden village, out of the barrier but high into the mountain and a cave that was a make-shift home stood the whitest Renamon Takato has ever seen. Standing tall and looking out at the world as he stood on the cliff edge waiting for something.

He was white, his gloves were white and his yin and yang symbol was nowhere to be seen on him. His form was tough but regal, strong but caring as every part of him was white as far as Takato and Raylock could see. "That's me? Our village was having problems about his existence, but with you, I'll believe that."Raylock said which a chuckle and a smile on his face. Takato looks back at the mysterious boy with disbelief, "How can that be him when he's right here?" The young boy smiled as he answered the questions that he was sure the tamer wanted to hear about.

"The name's Justin, that's as far as I can give, I used to be human, but now I'm partially human. As for him being here and there, time-space portals just like the one behind me." Justin spoke with a smile on his face as well. Takato stood there as if not believing them for a while but Justin was giving off confidence all around him. Takato doubt him but seeing as he was not flinching of the slightest made him think otherwise.

"Fine, I'll believe what you say but why did you answer more than needed?" Takato asked which his brows expressing how much Takato was wondering about him. "Answering one question leads to another, so why not say many, answering what I thought you might ask and achieve having less questions appearing within your mind." Justin spoke, quick and to the point again, confident about his answer. Takato just stared at him, unable to tell if it was all true.

But before anything else can occur Raylock coughed out which Justin's face changed from confident to worry in a flash. "I suppose your father was not so happy with you... again?" Justin asked the Renamon which Raylock only nods for. "Then we must hurry!" He spoke with such an authority that Takato saw Justin pushing the Raylock in without asking. "Hey wait!!!" the tamer shouted as Justin started to dip his leg onto the active portal.

The boy looked back at the tamer but slowing down his entry. In an instant, his body was encased in gold, and formed into an armor unlike anything Takato has ever saw, he could not tell or even describe the thing. With a manly metallic and menacing voice, Justin spoke as if the armor was entirely him, "Takato Matsuki, we shall meet again, some other time soon. As for your soon to be life, I have given you my blessings, a gift that you are not aware of just yet. Good day to you young tamer, may you live a happy and pleasurable life before we and the worlds meet again."

Before Takato can ask once more, Justin soon was gone; his portal was shrinking at an incredible speed as if it never existed as Takato was left running on and past where the portal should have been. He was stunned, he was speechless and worst he was in disbelief. He stood there trying to decipher most of what he has heard from him, and he just stares on, unsure of the events that have occurred.

It was surreal, and impossible, a portal was here and now a Renamon and a mysterious... being was there. It was getting complicated for the Tamer, yet this Digital world concept did not hinder his mind. It was as most, like a dream or nightmare, as he witnessed a Renamon disappear. It was at these kinds of moment that you wonder, was that real. Takato recalled the eyes he saw in the golden but terrifying armor Justin wore, unsure but definitely dangerous, he wanted to freeze or even step back but it was only a second that he saw it.

Takato shook his head as he tried to forget about everything as he walks back, trying to forget what he just saw, heard or even said as Raylock, the weakest of the Renamons, vanish with an unknown visitor. This was too much for the human as he made his way back to the home he was staying with, Reyna's own home. While on the way he was looking at the Renamons and the digivolutions.

Takato walked on, wanting to forget the events as he got back, he was just about there. He wanted to forget but strangely enough it would not be that easy. The only thought that lingered the most in the young tamer's mind was what Justin said in his armor, "We shall meet again, some other time soon. As for your soon to be life, I have given you my blessings, a gift that you are not aware of just yet." It was unsettling, hard enough to get his words out of his but he focused on the now and not of the future just yet.

Somewhere far from anything, on a flying piece of rock, on a place of unknown,

"What did you give him anyway?" Raylock asked as he looks at his mentor at the moment. "Nothing much, just a small alteration with 'his' own DNA... or should I say, data." Justin spoke within his golden armor as he looks on. "Besides, it's best if they really have something come out of their bond." He said and a hidden smile just under the mask of his armor.
