With Arms Wide Open Ch. 3
I woke up at a shrieking thunder that shook the whole room. The room was light up by lightning now and again. I crawl out of bed and walk over to the window; the sky was filled with dark clouds that were occasionally lit up by lightning piercing through the sky. The driveway had about an inch or two of water, you could see the clouds light up in the huge water puddle. It's all confusing to me, I have never seen so much rain in my town; and I have lived here all my life. As I gazed out the window, I thought about the most amazing night I had just had with Kaden. Everything is going perfect for me; it's all still hard to believe. I walk back over to Kaden, he had the covers half way up his body, ending at his torso. Somehow he got his green shirt off in his sleep. He is so adorable when he sleeps, he looks so content. I don't want to disturb him. But, how can he sleep with all this noise? The thunder echoes through his room with a deep bass, it even vibrates the lamp next to his bed. I walk over to his side of the bed and bend down to his level. I could hear his cute faint breathing in between thunder strikes. Every time the bright light fills the room, it almost makes him look like an elegant angel whit his gorgeous white fur. I whisper into his ear. "Wake up, sweetie." He didn't move for a few seconds, I put my hand on his arm. His eye lids slowly rose revealing his captivating green eyes. Lightning flashes through the room and makes his green eyes light up. He smiles at me "Jesse, you have the most beautiful blue eyes" I look down and smile, he always makes me feel so special. I look back up at him, then lean into him and kiss him. I loved kissing him more than anything in the world. I still don't know why Kaden is so perfect, It's like every move he makes with his tounge is flawless, he is the best kisser ever. When we parted all we could do was smile, as if our kiss was accidental. I helped him out of bed and flicked on the lamp next to us. My eyes we drawn down to something noticeable; my cute Kaden had a full on wolf wood. My tail immediately starts wagging behind me, I nonchalantly grab it almost as soon as it started wagging; it seemed highly inappropriate to show this sort of interest in someone I have been with for only a day. Kaden put both hands down there and his ears shot down, he looked very embarrassed.
"I'll just wait outside the room." As I was backing up I knocked over a desk. I leaned down and picked the desk back up. I speak with a nervous voice, "I'm sorry." Kaden smiles at me as he stood there covering himself, I think he liked seeing me nervous. I leave the room and heard some drawers open and close. A few minutes later kaden walks out of the room in gray sweat pants and a gray sweat shirt.
He smiles at me "What do you wanna do today?"
"Anything you want." I wink at him.
"Do you want to go running with me? I go running like every morning."
"I don't think you're gonna go running today." I said with a sort of down voice.
Kaden's ears shot down "Oh, I feel like an idiot now. Well I kinda wanna go watch the news now."
"Yeah, me too." Kaden grabs my hand and leads me into his huge living room. It's so big and beautiful. They had an 80 inch TV mounted on the wall. With beautiful black leather couch stretching across the living room. Kaden sits down on the couch and turns on the TV. I sit right next to him and look up at the TV. There's a little fox talking at a desk.
"We are going live to Adam Michaels reporting from Crawford city." The screen split showing a Tall German shepherd standing out in the rain. He speaks almost screaming into his microphone.
"Well jack, as you can see the rain fall is intense; we have about 40 mph winds. We have not dealt with a storm this powerful in Crawford city in over 75 years!"
The fox shook his head and spoke "Is the storm showing any sign of dissipating soon?"
The German shepherd held his ear piece close to his ear. "I can't hear you, jack." They tried to talk for a few moments until they cut the German shepherd off the screen.
"We're sorry for the technical malfunction, before we say goodbye we are going to go to weather man Simon black.
"Thanks jack, well as you can see this storm is covering all of Crawford city and then some. This is the biggest storm on record, with the city's 375 year run. We have never seen temperature drops in the ocean like this. This explains why we are having an extreme flash flood. So if you have to go outside, wear some water proof boots and bring an umbrella." He spoke with a little humor.
"Thank you Simon. This is Jack Hamilton for "Weather Now" news. And we hope July 5th 2012 is a great day for you." A commercial came on; Kaden spoke while still looking at the TV.
"Jesse, how long have you lived in Crawford City?"
"All my life." I spoke and look over at him.
He looks at back at me "So, it really has not been this bad ever?"
I shook my head no. Kaden spoke softly "This is all really weird, I hope my parents are ok."
I put my arm around him "they'll be fine, Kaden." I kiss the top of his head.
He smiles and jumps up from the couch "so, we are kinda stuck with eachother." His tail wags softly
I stand up to "well, I'm glad I have an excuse to be stuck with you."
He blushes and says "I'm super hungry, are you?."
"Yeah, what do you have to eat here?"
"We don't have anything, my mom has only spent one day here and she does the shopping."
"Well, you know Mc Donalds is never closed." I smile at him and pull out my car keys.
"Isn't it a little dangerous to go out right now?" he looked a little concerned. @"Not at all, unless my jeep gets stuck and the water rises too much, then we would drown." I laugh a little. But I seen Kaden was really worried. His ears shot down and his tail followed.
"Kaden, I was just kidding, we will be fine." I hug him, I felt bad I just scared him.
"Okay" he looked reassured "let me just go grab my money." He took off unexpended; he was only gone for moments. He came back stuffing money into his pocket.
"That was fast." I laugh "are you ready to go, sweetie?"
I made him blush again; he spoke with an eager voice "yeah, I am."
We walked to the front. Right when we open the door a bright flash filled the dark sky. ' the rain was still relentlessly pouring down. It didn't even look like it was in the middle of the day, the clouds were dark. We both look down and see that the water was up to the first step. I stared at the water in half disbelief and shock. I look over at Kaden, he looked a little freaked out over this.
"Jesse, I'm going to go get my boots." He starts to walk away and I grab his hand.
"Jump on my back, I will carry you."
"Are you serious?" he looked confused.
"Yes I am, c'mon." I pull his hand towards my back. He laughs and jumps on my back. I smile over me convincing him to let me do this. I walk down three steps and pause for a moment. The loud thunder finally came, the vibration rattled my chest. I felt Kaden's heart start to beat faster. I take my first step into the water; it's utterly numbing. It made me take my second step much faster. I almost was jogging with Kaden on my back to my jeep. I slammed open the passenger door and turned around so kaden could crawl in. When he got into the car, I ran around to the driver's side and jumped in. We both look at each other and laugh; Kaden's head fur was soaking wet, I'm sure mine was too. All you could hear is rain pounding on my jeep. I start the car and shift it into drive. Kaden smiles at me and turns on the stereo. One of my favorite songs starts to play, "Rocketeer." Kaden jumped up a little and spoke with excitement "This is like one of my favorite songs!"
"Really, mine too." I smile and turn the song up.
We both listen to the song "Here we go, come with me. There's a world out there that we should see. Take my hand close your eyes. With you right here imma Rocketeer." I stop listing to the song and listen to Kaden singing. He is a very good singer. He must have forgotten that someone is in the car with him, or he is just flat out not shy. He is looking out the window singing. When the song came to an end I look over at him
"Wow Kaden, you're a gorgeous singer." I smile quite big at him, I was in shock.
His ears went down and he looks a little shy "You...heard me."
"Yeah, I did and I love hearing you sing." I grab his hand and smile at the cute wolf. I honestly did love hearing him sing, it gave me goose bumps.
"Oh, well thank you. You're really sweet Jesse' I feel like the luckiest person to say you're my boyfriend." @I don't know why I was in shock to hear these words coming out of his mouth, I knew I was his boyfriend, he has never vocally said it. my eye brows raised and I looked over at him very fast. I was speechless. My heart sank and the butterflies were racing through my stomach.
He looked down "I'm sorry, I should not have said that." He looked a bit sad.
I snapped out of it "Kaden, to be honest.... You just took my breath away." He looks up at me and smiles with those beautiful green eyes. I am glad that we are at a stop light because I was going to do this anyways. I lean over to him; he closes his eyes and opens his mouth. We locked muzzles. It seems like kissing him will never seize to stun me. It will always give me butterflies. But, I want to know why he is such a good kisser....when we parted he smiles at me. I lean back over to my seat, feeling like the luckiest person alive to be able to kiss him. The light turns green and I take off, there are no other people out, I am sure it is because of the nasty weather. Mc Donald's is right in front of us now;We arrive at Mc Donald's, there is no one in the drive through, I so we pull right up. The woman asks us what we would like to order and we both get a number one, with coke. We pull up to the middle window the woman is an overweight fox. Kaden reaches into his pocket and pulls out a $20. I nod my head and pull out a $20 and hand the fox the money. He gives me a look that says "what's wrong with you." I laugh on the inside, hoping I will get that look more often, it's really adorable. I get my change back from the lady and pull up to the last window. An old black wolf handed us our food, then we take off from Mc Donald's. We were both starving so we didn't talk much, we just ate our food. About five minutes driving down the road I look over to Kaden
"Kaden, this is none of my business. But, have you had a boyfriend?" I look away from him, I felt a little uncomfortable. Kaden didn't answer for a few seconds and it made me feel horrible. I look back over to him, he looked a little upset. "It's just that you're such a good kisser."
Kaden looked at me and smiled "Well, I was going to ask you the same thing." He winked at me then looked back down, still looking upset.
"Kaden, you know you can tell me anything, right?" I looked over at him, I knew something was wrong with him.. He looked up at me almost looking like he wanted to cry "Yes, you're my first, I want to tell you a story, ok?" I nod my head to him; he looks back out the front window.
"When I was 16 I met a guy named Alex. I met Alex far before I was ready to come out. Well, somehow he made me fall in love with him in the three months that we were best friends." He looked down and a tear falls to his pants. "Well, when Alex told me that he wants to move to my town I was the happiest wolf ever. He asked me to go with him to his home town with him before he moved. I didn't want to explain it to my mom, so he left alone." Kaden was talking very quite now. He looked away from me, it seemed like he didn't want me to see him cry. I couldn't understand what happened, but it looked
like he could not say anything more. I reach over and grab Kaden's hand, he holds onto me tight. The car was silent for a few minutes. Kaden looks over at me.
"Alex died in a car crash soon after he left my house, my mom drove by his car wreck. She called me and told me that my friend was in a fatal car crash." Kaden looked at me, with those beautiful green tear filled eyes. I felt terrible for bringing it up. "Kaden, I'm so sorry. I had no idea." I said with a sympathetic voice, I felt terrible bringing him up. I would never want to hurt Kaden, and I just did. I was trying to hold back the tears over seeing Kaden cry. Every tear that fell down his muzzle, it made the knot grow bigger in my throat.
Kaden speaks softly "I never kissed him, but I wanted to when he told me he loved me.... Before he left." He smiles "I did say I love you too." The car was silent as I drove slowly down the road. Kaden is watching the rain drops slide down the window.
"Hey...Kaden...I'm sorry about Alex." I put my hand over his. He looks over with his tear filled green eyes and gives a faint smile, "Jesse, you have no idea how much you have helped me....With getting over Alex."
I smile at him and say "You've helped me through more than you could ever imagine."
He smiles back at me; he pulls his seat belt of and hugs me tight. I pull the car to a stop and kaden looks me into the eye; he speaks softly into my ears. "Jesse, I love you." I close my eyes and hold him a little tighter. Kaden pulls away a little, he is close to my face. My eyes bob from his left to right eye
"Kaden, I love you too."
