"Helllooooo?" the blue bird called out, standing at the entry to a rather large cave. "Delivery? Someone needed a package taken?"

"Yes, yes, come on in!" a voice called from inside. "I'm just finishing it up now."

The bird, Leuphe, stepped slowly into the cave and looked around, his eyes adjusting to the dark and noting how refined everything was. Doors closed behind him, and mysterious chandeliers atop the high roof lit up, giving the stone walls a warming glow. On the inside, Leuphe finally noticed the huge blue-purple, brown, and orange dragon inside, probably estimating his height close to 40 feet tall and 80 feet long, most of which was tail.

"Woah," Leuphe chuckled, stepping up to the dragon. "You're pretty huge!"

"Thanks. Name's Jayri. I need to go grab it, hold on a sec," the dragon, Jayri, murmured, his body shrinking in size and becoming more anthro then feral. Leuphe blinked, slightly stunned.

"Shapeshifting...?" the confused bird asked.

"Indeed." Jayri picked up a medium size box, handing it to Leuphe with a few dollars on top to cover the expenses. "You seem to be understanding it much better then most..."

"Erm, yes... I've got a bit of a shifting ability myself..." Leuphe chuckled, testing the weight of the box in his hands. It wasn't very heavy, despite it's size, and he thought he could still fly with it.

"Oh?" Jayri gave a small smirk as he morphed his body into a near-gryphon replica of Leuphe, minus the obvious difference in colors.

Leuphe sniggered and nodded, prepping himself for giving the shapeshifter across of him a pleasant surprise. He set the box down to the side, then dove at the ground, seemingly diving into a growing puddle of blue goo. Now it was Jayri's turn to be shocked, staring at a now shifting, blobby puddle of blue goo.

"Wha... Hm..." Jayri said, bending down to get a closer look at the puddle. He reached out with a paw, swirling around the goo like it was water with a finger. When he tried to pull it back, however, it clung to his skin and fur like glue, stretching and squirming stickily.

Jayri let out a gruff growl, pulling away farther and beginning to shift back to his full-size feral form. His paws became claws, but the goo stuck to the front claw where it had originally touched, despite his tugging at and rubbing on the ground.

"The hell is this..." Jayri sighed, getting irritated and more curious. He noticed the puddle stirring, and a replica of the bird's upper half, made of goo, popped up and wobbled.

"Hello again! I see you've did a little bit of digging into me!" Leuphe chuckled, stretching.

"Yes... It's quite... Interesting." Jayri paused a moment. "Can you get this off of me? It's nice and all, but..."

"Wait, why take it off when it feels good?" Leuphe chuckled, his size growing a slight bit more, his abdomen stretching to chat with Jayri face-to-face. "I could coat all of you, if I felt like it!" And sure enough, goo jumped from the gryphon up Jayri's front paw, like a creeping tentacle.

"Wha... Hey! I just wanted a package delivered!" Jayri whimpered, shaking his front leg to rid himself of the blue goo.

Leuphe's head, still wavering in front of his own, grinned slightly. "Are you sure? I could make you just like me... To add to your shifting abilities."

"No...No?" Jayri said, uncertain now. His shakes weakened, but still going as the goo reached his upper shoulder, and began to fan out across his body in small waves.

"Shhh... Don't worry. I'll make you nice and goopy..."

"But... But..." Jayri growled, "Won't that hurt?"

By now, the goo had covered both of Jayri's arms, most of his midsection, his wings, and was reaching up very close to his face. "No, not at all!" Leuphe crooned. "In fact, it will feel quite nice, especially when it's over!"

"Nnngh..." Jayri resisted one last time, trying to pull away, but finally collapsed on the ground and waited for the odd ritual to complete itself. "Fine... What a mess..."

Leuphe wasted no time in hurrying along the ritual, quickly encompassing the length of Jayri's folded legs and long tail. Then the last part, Jayri's head, was under the goopy coating. Goo started to flood Jayri's mouth and filled his insides, much to his now-paniced mind.

The dragon tried to speak, but couldn't past the goo as he felt his body held still. He could still breathe inside of the goo, however, much to his confusion, but soon he felt a tingling sensation on his fur.

"This is a curse, so I'm going to spread it to you, now..." The mass of goo around him seemed to shift, squeezing into his body, almost. Jayri whined a bit, as best he could, but it was no use as his fur began to melt off of his body, his flesh starting to feel a deeper sensation.

And soon enough, his mind seemed to blink, something changing, as his body lost all sense of solidity. The blue goo pulled away from the dragon's body, or what was left of it, as it began to melt like metal, forming a giant purple puddle on the floor of the cave. Jayri's body regained it's freedom and tried to thrash about, resisting the melting, but to no hope.

"Calm down... Just let it infect you, then try reforming after..." Leuphe said, crouching by the puddle. He was back in his solid form, staring at the puddle intently. Jayri still was in a paniced state, but listened anyways, as he felt no pain or discomfort from his body shifting into a pure liquid. Soon, all of his body had melted down into a puddle, spreading over much of the cave floor.

"Alright, now concentrate on your form! Whichever one you want..." Leuphe mentioned with a chuckle.

Jayri, taking the bird's advice, focused hard on the form he was used to, his fuzzy dragon form that he was most often. Slowly, his body began to pull upwards from the puddle, only rough shapes shown, and then definition began to show. His face and fur seemed to come first, then bits of the dragon seemed to be just like before... Minus the fact he was now made of goo, of course.

"This feels weird..." Jayri murmured, shaking a paw and was surprised when droplets of him flew off. His body was almost pure purple, minus a few streaks of orange. Puddles surrounded his feet, and he tried moving around with success. "Can I still become solid again?"

"Of course!" Leuphe chuckled. "Just think solid. It'll happen."

Jayri nodded, giving a small frown to the bird, and sure enough, shortly after he began to concentrate on it, he was completely solid again, back to normal. It was like nothing had even happened, minus a few globs of blue and purple goo still left over.

"There! Liquidshifting!" Leuphe said with a smile, picking up the package again. "I'll just deliver this for you, no thanks needed."

"Humph... Make sure it gets there today!" Jayri commented, flicking his long tail.

"Right. I'll see you later!" Leuphe chuckled, running out of the cave and flapping his wings. Jayri growled slightly, staring at the left over goo, wondering what he would do with this goo, his own goo as well.
