Markus

*****

Little did Silnis know, I had bought a ring for him while he was busy looking through the jewelry store. What he thought was just a browse through the store was actually a way for me to buy him a very special gift for our future. Our time spent in Hawaii was very well worth it, but Spring Break wasn't going to last forever. We took a plane back home and were greeted at the gates by our parents after getting off at the airport.

"Markus, sweetie, how was yours and Silnis' trip?" my mother greeted me, giving me a hug.

"It was great Mom. Silnis and I had a blast!" I told her.

"That's great! Now come on. We're having dinner at your Uncle Thomas house." She said before dragging me into the car parked outside where my dad was waiting.

"But wait! What about Silnis?! Shouldn't he come too?" I questioned, not wanting to leave Silnis out of this. He was after all my mate and we should do everything together.

"But of course! We could never let you two be apart! That's why your uncle invited Silnis' family too!" my mom explained, gesturing to the car behind us as I saw Silnis waving from the back of the car with his siblings. I felt relieved that Silnis was coming along too so I hopped in the car. My uncle's home, or should I say mansion, was out of town so it would be a long drive there. What I would do to have some of Silnis' company right now. My pants shuffled a bit as I thought about his scent, the new one I meant. Just one whiff of that potent stuff and I'm as horny as a dog in mating season. Oh...that reminds me.

"Hey Dad, did Mom ever have a new scent on her when you two were mated? You know like an aphrodisiac scent?" I asked him, seeing him tense up and my mom giving me a confused look.

"What do you mean dear?" she asked me, looking from my father to me.

"You mean you never experienced it? Silnis and I had a little incident with it and that's how we got to know about it from a friend." I explained to her, making her even more confused.

"I don't know what you're talking about honey." My mom said. We both looked at my Dad who was busy driving but had a nervous look on his face.

"Dad...?" I questioned, feeling he was hiding something.

"Well...looks like you got me in a corner, but yes son, your mother did get a new scent when we were mated. It drove me crazy with lust, and I kind of took advantage of it a lot more times than I think was needed. It was kind of my secret." He confessed, making my mom's jaw drop wide-open.

"So back when we were in high school...all those times we spent in bed was because of some scent I never knew about?!" my mom asked.

"Relax honey! Besides...it was a good thing for me because it gave me the chance to mark you more with my scent so that all those other guys back then wouldn't go snatching you from me." He explained, giving me a glance as he guessed I had to do something similar when Silnis and I were in Hawaii. My mom continued to pound my dad with questions as I sat back and watched out the car window with everything zooming by. At some point I must have fallen asleep because I woke up later to someone licking my face.

"It's time for my sleeping knight to wake up." I heard that heavenly voice wake me up before a pair of lips touched mine and kissed me. My eyes opened and I was met to the wonderful sight of my angel right before me as we kissed some more before he broke away. "Come on sleepy head, we're here."

I got out of the car and gawked at my uncle's mansion before me. I had only been here a handful of times, but every time I came here there was always something new that my uncle added in to his already large mansion. I saw my uncle come out himself to personally greet us.

"It's good to see you all again," he greeted, shaking my dad's hand and giving my mom and hug, "And this must be your lovely mate Markus!"

"Uncle, this is my beautiful and wonderful mate, Silnis." I introduced him.

"It's a pleasure to meet you sir." Silnis said, bowing courteously.

"Such manners your mate has Markus! You should learn a thing or two from him!" my uncle remarked, chuckling before leading us inside. I've seen how his mansion was inside lots of times, but I more excited to have Silnis see it since it was his first time here. My uncle stopped at the entrance and slowly opened the doors to reveal a luxurious and lustrous interior. I could hear Silnis gasp next to me, covering his mouth with his hands as he was awe-struck.

"It's so...beautiful!" Silnis said, looking like he wanted to go and touch everything.

"I'm glad you like it!" my uncle smiled happily.

"I thought you had more than one chandelier before uncle?" I asked him, noticing that there was only one very large crystal chandelier hanging above us.

"Oh, I thought all those separate chandeliers looked tacky, so I sold them all to get this one." My uncle explained, "But enough about chandeliers, let's all come into the living room until the food is ready." He led us into the side where a large living space was with a wide-screen plasma TV, a refreshment bar, and a cozy fireplace. There was also a smaller plasma TV on the side with an insane amount of video games stacked up on a tall shelf. Silnis' younger siblings charged right at the video games and were deciding on which one to play while Silnis and I make ourselves comfy on a loveseat opposite of my parents.

"This is a wonderful place you have Mr. Jensen." Silnis complimented, admiring the fine décor.

"Oh please, you flatter me. But enough about me, I want to know about you two lovebirds. So...Markus, since you're the dominant male, why don't you tell us how you met the love of your life?" my uncle asked us, very interested in our love life. Silnis gave me an encouraging look, nuzzling my chin for some added motivation

"Well...there's not much to tell, but when I first laid my eyes on him, I just had this attraction to him. I was unsure of my feelings at the time, but as I spent more time with him I just somehow knew that I loved him. Sure, he was always denying and yelling at me to leave him alone, but I wasn't going to give up on him. And that time, when it was thundering, and he was too scared to move, I just had to be his guardian and protect him. Even if he didn't want me, I just had to be there for him. I loved him and that's all that mattered." I said, seeing Silnis' mother wipe away a tear.

"You can't imagine what I went through! He would not leave me alone for one day! He was always trying to get me to like him! It was pure torture!" Silnis joked, lightly punching me on the arm.

"Hey, it worked right?!" I said to him.

"You were a persistent one, but that's the good part about you." He said before leaning forward for a kiss. I gladly accepted it and we kissed passionately until my dad made a loud cough, telling us that was more than enough.

"Sheesh, you two can't get enough of each other." My dad commented, rolling his eyes in humor.

"What can I say Dad, he's like the air I breathe. I need him every day and every moment of my life to survive." I told him, staring amorously into Silnis' eyes. I could've stared into those gorgeous eyes for days on end, but we were interrupted by one of my uncle's servant.

"Excuse me, Mr. Jensen, the food is ready." The young fox girl announced before stepping away in quick and small steps.

"All right, time to eat!" my uncle announced before leading us to the opposite side of his mansion where a grand dining room was with a lengthy table adorned with fine dining ware. Silnis and I sat by each other and I saw him unfold his napkin before placing it neatly on his lap. He sat straight in his chair and beamed with delight, probably excited for his first time eating high-class food.

"You know...my uncle really doesn't care if you eat normally." I whispered to him.

"I know, but I'm a guest so I should present myself to the best of my ability." He said back, gesturing to his siblings who were also setting themselves up like he was. Wow, Silnis' mom must really drill manners into their heads.

Our plates were brought out covered with dome lids and when opened revealed the most delicious looking food anyone has ever seen. It looked like roast lamb with a side of a warm autumn salad and creamy-buttery mashed potatoes with a light turkey gravy. My mouth was drooling already, wanting to dig in right now. Like I said before, I've been here many times so I know how good the food was.

"Okay everyone, dig in!" my uncle said, motioning for us to go ahead and eat. Grabbing my fork and knife, I sliced off a piece of the lamb before dropping it into my hungry maw and shivering at the immense flavor it had. Silnis also took his first bite of the lamb and I could tell he liked it as much as I did. He chewed very slowly, trying to savor the juices and flavor rolling around in his mouth and I couldn't help but do the same.

"This is delicious Mr. Jensen! You must have an extraordinary cook." Silnis' mom commented.

"Please, enjoy your dinner Mrs. Hearthglen. My cook always puts his heart and soul into making the best-quality meals every day." My uncle told her.

Dinner was soon done and we all had satisfied stomachs. For dessert, we had vanilla custard, and from Silnis' reaction I could tell he either liked vanilla, custard, or both. He attacked the small bowl of custard like a monster, while still eating with etiquette, and he was done in seconds. After our dinner, we stayed around for an hour or so before heading back home as it was getting late and we had school tomorrow. I kissed Silnis goodbye, acting like this was going to be the last time I was going to see him, even though we would see each other tomorrow.

"I'm going to miss you." I said, holding him tight.

"You do know we'll see each other at school tomorrow, right?" he asked me.

"I know, but I don't want to be apart from you even if it's for a day." I told him, nuzzling his face.

"I love you." He said before giving me a small yet tender kiss before getting into his car.

"I love you too." I said back, walking to my car as Silnis' family departed first. As much as I knew that I would see him tomorrow, I just couldn't get this weird feeling out of my head that something bad was going to happen. I just hope I'm wrong.
