#5 of One Shots

This is a sequel to my long past story 'Rain'

I was looking over my past stories and just felt the desire to write something about it and so about an hour later this was complete.

If you see grammatical errors don't hesitate to let me know in a comment or a message. They need to be fixed and I was slightly tired when I typed this up. There should be no spelling mistakes but that doesn't mean there or no mistakes.

Also I thought of putting on a more 'adult' scene between Essa and Tim and them having their first time.

Comment me about that as well, if you feel it is needed or if this is good the way it is. I also might make it a bit longer or make another story of them in the future. I'm not sure.

Lisa slowly stepped into the house with several grocery bags in her arms, her husband Jason following her with several more bags in both of his arms. The front door was closed with Jason's left foot and the kitchen is where he met up with his wife who was putting the food away quickly.

With a turn she smiled to Jason who had begun to separate the food along with her to make it easier to put away, though Lisa turned and peeked around the corner toward the main hallway before she placed her left hand over the side of her mouth and calling out.

"Tim! Are you in here!?" she shouted into the hall before giving a moment for a response, though all she heard was the sound of feet hitting the floor as well as something hitting the floor.

Her eyes narrowed for a moment in suspicion before she turned to Jason who smiled before a chuckle left his throat.

Tim who had been in his room was now rubbing the back of his head after having hit the back of his head upon the window rail within his room in the attic, a large English book resting on the floor, this being the cause of what had struck the floor after Tim jumped in surprise at his mother's voice. A furred paw reached out to pick the English book up and set it back on the bed, the brown furred bat looking up to Tim with a soft giggle, Essa giving a fanged smile as Tim looked back down at her.

It had been seven years since Tim was released from the children's physiology clinic, Essa being the small orphan fur who was adopted along with Tim's release when finally after an entire year without speaking to a soul he finally opened up to someone. Essa was the first person he spoke to, the doctors feeling that she would help Tim finally accept the death of Rain, Tim's pet bat who was killed right in front of Tim.

Now Tim is your average teenager in most ways, even now within his room he is a normal teen. The scene before his mother's sudden interruption was him and Essa study session being interrupted by Tim pushing Essa down on his bed and turning the study session into a make out one instead. Essa even though technically a member of the family was clearly not Tim's real sister, he was human and she was an Anthro bat and this relationship had stared nearly a year ago.

With sluggish feet Tim moved down the side walk with back pack slung over his shoulder Tim found himself nodding off after the long day of pretending he was learning. Right behind him was Essa, equally tired in her expression; her ears even slumped as much as they could after having grown several inches to where they were nearly five inches in length. Both Tim and Essa had grown since their first meeting, Tim taking on the larger physical stature with shaggy brown hair, he even go his left earlobe pierced. Essa had grown taller than Tim at this time, which she teased Tim about constantly even though she was taller only by an inch without counting her ears.

Both were inseparable since the day they left the clinic, even to this day they slept in the same room. It would be the same bed if not for Tim's mother getting a second bed for Essa, speaking her mind in the fact that they were old enough for separate beds. That of course didn't stop Essa from sneaking into Tim's bed upon occasion, which meant every night.

Today was a normal day, both Tim and Essa dragged themselves into the house before they dropped their back packs by the door and staggered up to their room without so much as a 'Hey' to Jason or Lisa who were sitting in the living room. Both parents just smiled to one another as they watched their children wander by with those blank looks upon their faces that they normally wander home with from school.

Inside Tim and Essa's room they had separated their things and halved the room without any tape or line, both having reached an agreement which was surprising for children their age. Normally brothers and sisters would fight and quarrel with one another about space or anything in general. Tim and Essa were the exact opposite however, to see them fight was like seeing a flying pig, it just didn't happen.

Both Tim and Essa flopped onto their beds face first and that is where they remained for several minutes before finally moving to get comfortable. Tim turned on his plasma tv while Essa wandered over to sit next to him on his bed. Cartoons were on like normal and both siblings settled in next to one another, this being their normal routine since they were young.

The thought never crossed their minds but the past was clear to both of them, even as they watched the glorious cartoon violence.

Tim had clung to Essa just as much as she clung to him, he was happy to finally find one that reminded him of Rain and Essa was happy to have finally found herself a family and a home. Neither wanted to change anything and they made sure that everyone around them knew that they were family and would never be separated.

These were the thoughts in Essa's mind as she tilted her head to rest against Tim's shoulder, her left hear slipping up against his cheek like normal, Tim only tilting his head slightly in response.

"Tim..." Essa finally broke the silence, Tim giving a simply 'Hm?' from his throat as he stared at the television, watching a cat hit a small mouse with a large wooden mallet.

Essa turned to look up at Tim's face, her expression showed indifference while her ears perked toward Tim, "Do you want to kiss me?"

The question grabbed Tim's attention, both eyes locked onto Essa's large green eyes, a unique color for a bat many would say but as normal to Tim as Essa's presence.

Tim turned himself back to the tv, "What are you talking about? Why would I kiss my ..." furred lips pressing against Tim's soft peach lips made the words be swallowed to the back of his mind as Essa's fingers gently curled against Tim's jawline.

The surprise in Tim's eyes was stared down by the calmness in Essa's as she stared back at Tim even though her lips were firmly placed upon Tim's.

The Kiss was brief, clumsy perhaps as Essa pulled her head back with a soft gasp between both of them, Essa giving a soft pant as the insides of her ears turned a slightly red hue. It was hard to get Essa to blush, in her own way, but blush none the less. Tim gave a soft swallow as his eyes remained locked upon Essa's who still cupped Tim's cheeks.

*Present*

It was that jump that Essa had taken that one time that caused their brother sister relationship to be shattered in Tim's mind. Essa had become his girlfriend at that time and she gave no word of protest. This relationship had gotten them in trouble a few times.

The first time they were caught by another was at school, at a normal make out spot by a teacher who was on hall duty. The surprise in both Lisa and Jason's eyes was clear as they had never expected Tim and Essa to take such a route in their relationship and both were grounded for some time for doing such a thing at school.

Though neither were told that they could not continue their relationship though Lisa made sure that Tim didn't close the attic door from that day on.

It was now, a year later that Tim and Essa were fairly open about their relationship. Though still children they felt that they were old enough to have this kind of relationship. As most teenagers did, the desire for a girlfriend or boyfriend and all of that, neither Lisa nor Jason felt that it was bad even though the school did not view it as alright.

Tim pushed himself off the bed after a fierce head rubbing to make the pain go away while Essa giggled at him before she herself stood. Essa would give Tim's cheek a small kiss before she wandered down the stairs to the attic and into the kitchen where she quickly began to ask about dinner, all under the suspicious gaze of Lisa and soft laughter of Jason as the question of what Essa and Tim were doing was suppressed when Tim wandered into the kitchen.

This was the life that Tim now had. His thoughts would wander to Rain from time to time but Essa was there to quickly pull his mind from slipping into that depression again. With this Tim felt his life was once again happy and his future was going to be very bright, so long as Essa was there next to him, the very bat who was munching on a carrot like a rabbit and giving Tim a funny face.
