This is a story that I wrote a long while ago for a friend of mine. The characters in the story are copyrighted to their respective owners. Anyway... I figured that I would post it on here as my first upload. ^^ I hope you enjoy!

BEEP BEEP BEEEP! A groan erupted from a mass of covers as a hand reached out and hit the snooze button on the alarm clock. The mass of blankets moved around for a moment before stilling again with a soft sigh. It was Monday morning and the sounds of the town waking up could barely be heard outside the closed bedroom window. Again, the alarm went off with its annoying 'Beep! Beep!' and, again, the hand emerged to hit the snooze. This time, however, the covers were pulled back a little further to show the face of a young, handsome male. Dark green wolf-like ears stood out from the unruly mess of his short black hair. Neon green tips brushing the pale skin of his neck and forehead as he finally pushed the covers down further, revealing slim shoulders and a bare chest. Slowly, almost relucdently, he opened his deep purple eyes. "Ugh! I hate Mondays." He groaned and sat up, dropping long legs over the edge of the bed. He sat there for a moment, bent over slightly as he rubbed sleep from his eyes. This was the way he was when his bedroom door suddenly brusted open and in skipped his bubbly roommate, Angel. She was a sweet girl, a little on the chunky side with big blue, wolf ears and tail what had a white underside to it. Her light blue eyes were clear and bright as always as they suddenly widened in suprise. "Kosa! Why don't you EVER wear cloths to bed?" Angel groaned loudly as she marched over to his dresser and slung a pair of boxers at him. "Men! I swear... I came in here to let you know that Sie is suppose to be back today, so you might want to get your scrawny ass outta bed and get dressed." with that, Angel left the room just as quickly as she had came, the door closing soundly behind her. Kosa continued to sit there for a moment, blinking dumbly at the door as his ear twitched irritably from the boxers that now hung from it. Sie was back? In a flurry of movement, Kosa was off the bed and hopping around on one foot as he tried to tug his boxers on and get to his dresser, his tie-die tail of black with a white tip, a lighter green band above that, and a slightly darker green underside was wagging a mile a mintue. Sie had been gone on vacation for the past two weeks and Kosa couldn't wait to see the tall, handsome male.

The morning sun felt hot agaisnt his cheeks as Kosa stepped out of his car, his eyes searching for the object of his affections in the large parking lot. Seeing no sign of him, Kosa sighed an dug out his name tag from somewhere on his car's floorboard and clipped it into place, slamming the door shut. Kosa chanced another look around, this time to see if perhaps he could see Sie's truck. Sie didn't seem to be there at all, there was no sign of him or his big truck. Kosa sighed, perhaps he wasn't going to be back today. Feeling the existment drain from his body, he drug his feet toward the enterence of the mini-store where they worked. It had to have been around eight o'clock and Kosa was running a little late becasue of the multi times he hit the snooze button on his alarm. Not that he cared at the moment as he stopped again and allowed his hopeful, sad purple eyes to roam over the parking lot. There was only a few cars there since it was opening hour for the mini-mart and the only thing that really moved was a few news papers that had been dropped carelessly onto the pavment and a cart that hadn't been rounded up the night before. The rumbling of cars zipping by on the road was just beyond the parking lot and that is where Kosa's eyes were drawn. Would he be there today? Perhaps he'd gotten a better job? Kosa's ears disappeared into his dark hair as the saddness continued to inche its way over his heart. "--sa! Kosa!!" He jerked his head around to stare blankly at a tall man, reaching about 6'1 to Kosa's 5'10. Golden hair, that was a slightly darker color at the roots, hung in silken waves down one sade of his face, the rest gathered at the nape of his neck. Its tips reaching to about the middle of his back. Kosa's mouth went dry and he quickly shoved his hands into the pockets of his black work slacks. Sie... "Kosa. You going to stand there staring at the cars or are you going to come in here and help me get this place up and running?" Sie's voice crawled over Kosa like a warm blanket, but he betrayed very little in his expression. "I'm coming, Sie." Lighter on his feet now then had been in the past couple weeks, he rushed past Sie and into the store.

Cheers, laughter, and talking filled the small room of Kosa's little apartment. As always, Angel had invited Sie over for dinner after work, knowing that having Sie so close to a certain room of the house would unnerve Kosa with his imagination. Kosa grumbled as Angel flirtly swatted at Sie's arm from something funny he'd said. Which was another thing that she always did. Flash Kosa meaningful glances and go back to flirting with Sie, never failed to throughly ruffle Kosa's fur and Angel knew it. Kosa had asked her once why she did what she did and she answered him with a 'To get you to do something, moron!'. To do something? He was always doing something. Sie just never took the bait or if he did, never held on long enough for Kosa to reel him in. He sat and watched Angel run her fingers through the silken length of his horse tail, the same color as the mane that flowed of his shoulders, throughly brushed. As he watched, he could see Sie's posture changing from tense to throughly relaxed, Angel switching from brushing to braiding the long length of his tail. Kosa silently seethed, wanting so bad just to beat Angel away with something and take her place. Only he didn't, never moved from his place or changed his demour. He was rested back into their big, over-stuffed leather chair, completely relaxed and detacted. Giving away nothing to the storm that boiled and churned under the surface. "Hey, Kosa..." Sie's voice made Kosa arch a brow, refusing to answer him with his voice. "What do you have in there to drink?" He nodded his head toward the kitchen, but never took his eyes off Kosa. With a shrug, Kosa stood and walked into the ajoined kitchen, opening the fridge. Kosa stood there for a moment, saying nothing as he looked over the idems in the fridge. "We have coke, milk, tea, a couple winecoolers, and a beer of Angel's." Sie stood, leaving a scowling Angel on the couch, and walked over to Kosa to look over his shoulder into the opened fridge. The fine hairs on Kosa's neck stood on end as he felt Sie's warm breath against his shoulder. "A glass of tea sounds good." His voice was low, huskier, as Kosa quickly reached in and grabbed the tea jug, only to freeze just as quickly. Angel could only stare in wide eyed suprise at the picture before her. Sie had placed his hand on the fridge door to keep it open when Kosa had reached in and stood stock still in a slightly bent over position, his own golden eyes wide with shocked horror. Kosa was bent over with his hand pressed to the door of the freezer, turned slightly to look back at Sie in just as much shock as the action had caused Kosa's rear to be fitted snuggly against Sie's groin. Kosa groaned and whipped around to press his shoulders back agaisnt the freezer door, almost successed in dumpping the tea jug out. "I... I... umm!" Kosa quickly cleared his throat and squared his shoulders, standing straight as he met Sie's still shocked gaze. "You know where the glasses are." With that said, in a rather stern voice, Kosa ducked under Sie's arm and made a graceful exit into his room. Stupid! Stupid! Stupid! STUPID! Kosa was still cursing himself silently as he marched around his room like a soldier on portal. He should have known better then to bend over into the fridge like that with Sie so close. Should have known! Oh, he had known and had done it without thinking. Finally stilling his movements, he plopped down on his bed with a defeated sigh. Just about then, he heard a knock on the door and it took Kosa a minute to realize that someone wanted to come into his room. Angel never knocked, she just barges right into his room as if she had every rigth to, so that only meant that... In a flurry of movement Kosa raced at the door and cracked it open a touch to see that it was, indeed, Sie tapping his door for enterence. "Hey.. can I come in?" No! Kosa should have said it, should have, but it was another part of him that was opening the door wider and stepping back for the taller man to step into the cool, dark confides of his room. Having the door in his hands, made it too tempting for him to shut the door behind Sie, so Kosa quickly moved back over to his bed and sat down, leaving Sie standing at the door. "What do you want?" His voice was far more corse with he'd planned, so he cleared his throat and tired again. "If you're here to talk about what had happened. It was an accident. I didn't mean to do that." Sie said nothing, just stood there in a silhouette by the light outside the door, which made it hard to see his face. His continued silence unerved Kosa as he shifted on his bed. "Sie?" As if his name triggered something, Sie moved across the floor with liquid grace, shutting the door behind him with a flick of his wrist, to stand before him. The sound of the door clicking shut to plunge the room into darkness and the warmth of Sie's nearness, unnerved Kosa even more. What was he doing? What was he doing it? Was he mad? Kosa's mind was flooded with ensurities and Sie continued to not speak. Finally being unable to stand the silence any longer, Kosa took a deep breath and broke it. "Sie... please... say something." His voice was almost a whimper, and again, Kosa's voice seemed to have triggered him, for Sie reached out and took a hold of a lock of Kosa's unruly hair, giving it a gentle tug. The result, was Kosa leaning forward with a gasped cry that was more of suprise then pain. As Sie tugged Kosa's hair and he come toward him, Sie leaned down at the same time and their lips met. Time suddenly grounded to a halt as Kosa's eyes grew wide. The kiss had been brief and Sie was already heading toward the door before Kosa good get enough breath into his lungs to speak and the only word he could seem to form was 'Sie' as the taller man left the room.

It had been weeks since that stolen kiss in the darkness of his room and Sie had seemed to had taken a liking to avoiding Kosa now. Which confused and upset him. Did he regret the kiss? He wanted so badly to ask Sie what had happened the night. Why he'd gone into his room to, as it would seem, only to kiss him and leave. Today was another day at work and another day that Kosa combed the store for Sie, only to either just miss him or get caught by one of the customers who was searching for something. Kosa didn't let that discurage him today. No. He was going to find Sie and they were going to talk about what had happened. His mind was weary from running around in circles on the topic, Kosa was going to talk to Sie, even if he had to corner the man in the backroom. Kosa had finished with another customer, who was very happy to be directed to the isle with the condoms in it without being teased. The young boy looked as if this was his first time and Kosa just smiled, shaking his head and just as the boy went off to get what he needed... Sie walked by his line of veiw. Bingo! Smoothly avoiding another needed customer, Kosa rushed after Sie. Kosa couldn't wait to talk to him, eager to know what he'd been thinking and maybe. Just maybe... they could prosue it into something more. That thought made him lighter on his feet as he took the corner, but those winged feet suddenly turned into lead as he came to a halt. There, at the end of the isle, was Sie... with a woman. She was a beauty, there was no denying that. She stood about eye level to Sie's chest with a slim figure and shoulder length sea-green hair. Her teal eyes were bright with laughter as Sie seemed to be saying something funny or perhaps clever and witty. Kosa felt his heart hit the floor as he continued to watch them. She had cute wolf ears the color of the sky before a storm, light blue with the dark gray tips, her tail swished back and forth in a lazy way that signaled her contentment. It was also gray, it looked much like a one of those sand art pieces. With a light gray on the bottom, a darker gray in the middle, and a even darker gray on top. The very top was speckled with light blue spots. She was cute, even Kosa thought so and he didn't even like girls, besides as friends. Sie's deep laughter reached Kosa's ears and he almost cried. It had meant nothing. That kiss, had been nothing. Before he could ecsepe, Sie spotted him and called him over. Daming every god known to man, Kosa forced a smile and walked over to them. The girl chocked her hip to the side and arched a brow at Kosa as he approched. "Kosa! I want you to meet Tiku. She's a friend of mine." Tiku gave Sie a strange look, as if she were suprised that he would intorduce her as a friend. Was there more going on there? Kosa was afraid to know that answer. He gave her a nod and smile in greetings, not trusting it voice at this point. She did the same in return and Kosa did a quick retreat, disappearing back around the corner.

"Kosa... How long are you going to stay in there crying?" Back at home, Kosa had made a quick line to his room and shut the door behind him, the lock clicking into place with a solid 'thunk', his single lap the only light source. Angel tapped on the door again, reseving only muffled cries and sniffles. With a sigh, she deicded that it would be best to just leave him alone. Kosa felt as if he were dying inside, his pillow clucked to his chest as he rocked back and forth in his pain. How could he do that to him? Why would he? He was so confused, hurt, and upset that he completely missed the door being pick-locked and opened. A tall shadowed figure slipped into the room and walked over to stand before the bed. Kosa jerked back and stared up into the glowing eyes of Sie. "What..." He had to stop and clear his throat and harshly wiped the tears from his eyes. "What are you doing here?" For a moment, Sie didn't say anything. Just watched Kosa as he struggled with his tears and trembling voice. "Angel called me... she said that you were upset and that I might be able to help." Kosa looked away from him, silently cussing Angel. "What's the matter?" The concern in Sie's voice gave birth to a whole new wave of tears and he buried his face into the pillow he still clung to. He felt Sie wrap his strong arms around his trembling form and the action triggered his rage. More so for the rage of himself then Sie as he pushed him away from him and dropped off the bed. The pillow he'd had winding up in Sie's face. "Get away from me! I can't take it! Ok?" Stunned and confused, Sie could only stare at Kosa as he continued with his rant. "You kiss me! Then turn around and was all kissy-kissy with some chick! I'm not your toy! You can't just play games with my emotions!" He sobbed, tears catching in his thoat. About this time, Sie had hopped from the bed and crossed the room to Kosa's side. He wrapped his arms and pulled the resisting male against his firm chest. "Kosa... What are you talking about?" Kosa struggled and fought against Sie's hold, tears slipping down his cheeks. "You're with her! I know you are! I don't understand why you even kissed me!" His voice was starting to get raw and horse from the combination of crying and yelling. So he settled for punching Sie's chest instead. He stood there, taking every flailed hit with silent resolve. Finally giving up, Kosa slumped his full weight into Sie's body with a heavy sigh. Sie took it as a sign that he'd finally settled down enough that he could talk to him, only hearing whispered sobs and sniffles. "I'm not with her. Yea. We've... done.. stuff... but I'm not with her." Kosa blinked and looked up at him with wide eyes, looking very much like a doe caught in a car's headlights. Sie smiled at the sight and without another word, leaned down and gave Kosa a kiss. This time, lasting longer as Kosa gripped Sie's shirt and closed his eyes in defeat. Once Sie broke off the kiss, they stared at each other for a moment and then Kosa smiled. Not everything was perfect and not everything goes right... and maybe these were one of those times, one of those situations... Where everything was suppose to go completely wrong before it'll go completely right.
