Well, it's been a while since I've posted a story in this series. Anyways, I hope you all enjoy it ^_^

I laughed and bonked him on the top of the head and said, "Yeah. That's why I smell."

He scooted a way a bit and I stood up, stretching my arms and my back, wiping my face where some of the fur was matted down. "Definitely need a shower," I said, walking over to my dresser and pulling out a clean shirt and a clean pair of pants.

Nathan grinned and said, "Where am I supposed to go while you're taking your shower?"

"Well," I said, "you can go downstairs and sit with my mom. It doesn't take me long to take a shower."

"Alright," he said. He seemed kind of nervous but he still walked out of my room to go sit with my mother. I walked across the hallway and stepped into the bathroom, looking at myself in the mirror.

"Jeez," I grumbled to myself, "I look like a wreck."

I stretched again, popping my shoulder and grunting softly before stripping myself down. I looked at myself in the mirror again and shook my head before climbing into the tub, quickly closing the shower curtain and eagerly turning on the warm water. I squeaked and jumped back when the water came out cold but stepped back into the stream and sighed in happy relief when the water warmed up.

I turned around and let the stream hit my back, murring in pleasure as it hit my stiff muscles and ran down, relaxing it as it also got all the dirt out of my fur. After allowing myself to soak for a couple seconds I reached onto the shampoo rack and pulled down a bottle of shampoo, not really caring who's it was or what it smelled like.

I poured some into my paw and then started to rub it in, shivering as the cold soap pressed through my fur and onto my skin. I made sure to do a really good job, going through and re-shampooing my fur multiple times. When I was done rubbing the shampoo into my fur, I let it all rinse out of my fur, closing my eyes and leaning against the wall.

It wasn't even that late into the day and I was already tired. Maybe it was from the exhaustion of finally getting the relief that I had been aching for for the past week. After about three minutes of letting the warm water run over my body I turned the water off, stepping out and onto the fur drier, kicking it on and closing my eyes to avoid the hot air as it blew water out of my fur.

When it shut off I got a towel and started to rub at my fur vigorously, attacking the water in it so that I could go downstairs and save Nathan from the awkwardness that must be my mother.

I sighed as I dropped the towel into the dirty clothes hamper and pulled on the clean clothes I had brought in with me. When I was dressed, I turned off the light and opened the door, stepping out into the hallway and curling my freshly cleaned toes against the carpet as I walked to the living room where my mother and Nathan were sitting in an awkward silence.

I sat down next to Nathan and I opened my mouth to speak, and then hesitated, and then opened my mouth again. "Mom," I said, "I have something that I want to tell you."

She looked at me and raised her eyebrow before she muted the TV and said, "Ok. What?"

"Well," I said hesitantly, "one, Nathan and I made up."

"Yes, I see that." She said, "Although there was never really a fight in the first place."

I blushed and said, "Yeah yeah."

She laughed and said, "What's the second thing."

"Umm..." I said hesitantly, looking down at my lap for a second. I already knew she was alright with it, why was I being so slow about it? I took a deep breath and said, "Nathan and I are dating now."

I sighed in relief. I felt better now that I had it off of my chest to be perfectly honest. I smiled at Nathan and leaned towards him, giving his neck a little nuzzle and rubbing my cheek against his happily. He grinned and leaned into me, rubbing his head against the bottom of my chin. He was still staring at the muted TV.

I smiled and said, "You can unmute the TV now."

"Hold on," my mom said. She was staring at us, and I was getting a little uncomfortable under hear scrutiny.

"What?" I finally asked, twitching a little bit.

"Nothing," she said, grinning at me, "Just wanted to stare at what a cute couple you two make for a second."

"Mom," I whined, flattening my ears against my head.

"What?" she said innocently, "Nathan's your boyfriend now." she stood up and stretched, scratching the top of her head, "Now," she said, "where did I put those baby pictures."

That got Nathan's attention. "I want to see!" he said before I could say anything, hopping off the couch, laughing, with my mother.

I glared at their backs as they walked upstairs, all the awkwardness between my mother and Nathan gone in an instant. I sat, fuming for a few minutes, before my curiosity got the better of me and I walked upstairs to see just what pictures were being shown to Nathan.

When I walked in, the first thing I saw was a naked kit in the bath tub with a bubble beard and a pair of reindeer antlers on his head. The huge grin that was on the kit's face was mirrored in the present by Nathan, who was giggling as he looked through the pictures. "That's not me," I told her, sighing in relief when I saw the box.

"Of course it is," my mother said.

I just grinned at her and said, "Nope. Look at the date on the picture. That was when Travis and I were seven. I was already at the school."

"Oh you're right," she said, sighing, "Darn. Well, at least we know that Travis was adorable when he was seven."

She put all the pictures back in the box and then found the box with my pictures in them. She opened it up and started to look through them. "Dawww," she said, pulling a picture out. I blushed as I saw the kit snuggling with a teddy bear that was larger than he was and sighed as she handed it to Nathan.

"Awwww," Nathan said, "you were so cute Alan!"

"Were?" I asked, "So I'm note cute now?"

"Different kind of cute hun," Nathan said, poking me on the nose. I rolled my eyes and went back to looking over my mom's shoulder. I tried to snatch a picture of me in the bath tub away from her but I couldn't get it time and Nathan grabbed it eagerly. "Awww! You're so tiny!"

"I was two you pedophile." I said, covering my ears and burying my face in my mother's bed, blocking out all sound but Nathan's giggling.

I don't know how long the torture lasted, but I assumed that it was at least an hour until Nathan shook my shoulder. "I'm done looking at your baby pictures now," he whispered into my ear, giving me a nuzzle on the cheek.

I raised my head off my mother's bed to make sure that the pictures were put up and then, when I knew it was safe, stood up. He was grinning at me as I staightened my shirt and when I was done, I raised an eyebrow at him and said, "What?"

"Nothing," he said, turning and flicking his tail, "I just can't get the image of SOMEONE'S bare baby butt out of my mind."

I blushed deeply, heard him laugh, and then lunged at him, pulling him to the ground on top of me and holding him against my chest, using one paw to tickle his stomach. "You," I told him as I tickled him, listening to his quick-becoming breathless squeals as I spoke, "are such a pedophile."

"Alan..." he squealed, trying to take a deep breath. He was kicking now, and he was starting to hurt my knees, so I rolled over and held his legs down with my knees as I tickled him, a big grin on my face. "Alan!" he said, "I can't breathe!"

I grinned and stopped tickling him, letting him take deep gulps of air. "I'm not a pedophile!"

I grinned and helped him up, hugging him to my chest and rubbed my cheek against his, "I know you're not."

He sighed softly as he rubbed his head underneath my chin, "I wasn't expecting today to go so well." He said, looking up at me.

"Really?" I asked him, looking down and putting a paw on his cheek, "You know I can't say no to you."

He smiled and said, "There are always exceptions to the rules Alan."

"Of course," I said, "if the rules were never broken a freak like me would never get to have such a beautiful fox for a boyfriend."

"What's with all the compliments today?" he asked me, tilting his head and rubbing into my paw as he waited for my answer.

"I can't compliment my new boyfriend?" I asked in a joking tone. He gave me a quite serious looking look and I sighed, "I'm making up for all the compliments I could have given you over the past few months that we could and should have been dating."

"You still owe me a dance," he said, grinning as he pressed himself against me, a smile on his face.

"Mhmm," I said, putting my back on the back of his head and pressing him into my neck, "How about we go dancing tonight?"

"Like, in a club?" he asked, looking up at me.

"Mhmm," I said with a grin, "just me and you. Dinner, a few dances, maybe go see a movie afterwards?"

Nathan giggled and put his head on my neck, "Well, someone can plan a first date. Although, I'd have expected it to be something more romantic."

I rolled my eyes and pressed my forehead against his, "Does it really matter as long as its just you and me?"

His eyelids fluttered as he pointed his nose towards the ground a bit and smiled, "I guess not."

"Then it's a date," I whispered softly, kissing him on the forehead, right above the spot in between his eyes.
