Character list for my story.
#1 of Adventure's of Mark Steelheart
Allright, I was bored and I didn't want to write on the next chapter, so I did the next best thing. I made a list of major characters in this story, even if a large number of them have not been introduced yet. So, minor SPOILER alert.
So, comments and such are always appreciated. Near the bottom, there are a few Pokemon I need names for, so any help there is appreciated ^.^
Note: when I say 'human' I mean English (unless otherwise stated). Pokemon speech is a universal language.
Major Character List:
Mark Steelheart - Mid-to-late 20's, trainer, has multiple scars from earlier in his life. Fights the various gyms, but is not dedicated to becoming champion. Competes in tournaments and contests to supplement his income. Views his Pokemon team as his family. Long exposure to Amber, Saria, and Cairn mental abilities allow him to understand Pokemon (mostly).
Mark's Pokemon Team:
-Cairn the Lucario - He has black-and-white colorations, his eyes are a sky-blue. He has been with Mark since the beginning of his journey. Calm and cool, he rarely shows fear, but is not shy about expressing himself when he feels right. Can speak human or use Aura to speak telepathically.
-Amber the Ninetails - White as a new snow, except for her deep-amber eyes and black tail-tips. She joined Mark after an incident in Cerulean City in Kanto. She loves being pampered, but will not shy away from a fight if given the choice. Uses telepathy to talk with Mark.
-Saria (likes 'Sara') the Mismagius - Typical looking Mismagius except for her three jewels, which shine with the color of the rainbow. True to her name, she loves to play pranks and poke fun at her comrades, but can be serious if needed. She has become the confidant of the group, as no Physic can enter her mind. She joined Mark after she attacked him and Cairn. Her past is something that she does not talk about, and people know not to push her on the subject. Uses telepathy to speak with Mark.
-Alexander (prefers 'Alex') the Charizard - A turquoise color skin and forest-green eyes mark him as a very unique Charizard. Joined Mark after finding his name in a ceremony on the Hawaiian islands. He is slow to anger, but can hold a grudge for a long time. Cannot speak human or use telepathy.
-Shadow the Umbreon - Normal looking except for the ring on his head, which was a light-blue. Joined after he destroyed a San Francisco gang, and was disowned by the family that had adopted him. Quiet and reserved, he prefers to fight and train, rarely speaking his mind. He has a secret that haunts him. Cannot speak human, but outside of battle he can use telepathy.
-Kukari (prefers 'Kay') the Gardevoir - A normal looking Gardevoir. Joined after an incident in the Indonesian Islands. Highly intelligent and curious, she uses a variation of the Teleport ability to keep a large selection of books near her at all times. She loves to talk and converse, and particularly enjoys the company of Cairn and Alexander. Not only can she speak human, she can write as well, and also uses telepathy.
Ray Paragon - Late 50's, owner of Paragon Industries, doesn't act his age, acting like he is still in his prime. He is rarely seen without a cigar in his mouth. He has two Pokemon that hold high positions in his company. With an agenda that only he and his Pokemon in addition to a few select people know about, he watches potential trainers and coordinators from all over the world.
Ray's Team:
-Lars the Alakazam - Normal looking. According to public records, he does not even exist. He is considered, by those who know he exist, to be the second-in-command of the Paragon Empire. Cold and calculating, he never makes a move unless it has a purpose. He can write and speak human in addition to using telepathy with his master.
-Ju'mal (goes by Ju during battle) the Bisharp - The majority of his body is jet-black, with the exception of his blades (pearly white) and his head (a maroon color). He is the loyal bodyguard and confidant of Ray Paragon. Any order that Ray gives, he follows without question. He does not like Lars, but accepts that his master does. He speaks fluent human, although he does not like to show it in public.
May Arlean - Early 20's, aspiring Coordinator but competes in gym battles from time to time. She has four Pokemon that are almost spoiled rotten. She is loud at times, but is very knowledgeable about many things. Runs into Mark multiple times during his adventure. She might or might not have a crush on him.
May's Team:
-Samantha (people call her Sam) the Swampert - Tall and blue. She is a proud Pokemon who does not like admitting when she is wrong. She is loyal to a fault to those she knows, and distrusts those she doesn't. This makes any sort of love-life for May hard. She does not speak human.
-Saiq the Persian - Smooth and cool, the coin on his forehead is white, rather than the typical gold color. He acts all high and mighty at times, but give him the right persuasion (bribes) he will warm right up to you. He respects May for what she has accomplished in her life so far. He speaks human when he feels like it, preferring to have people attend to his needs.
-Sharen the Serperior - She is a typical looking Serperior, but her scales shine with the attention May gives them. She is as much of a beauty queen as you can get. When she does not get what she wants, she has a tendency to throw temper fits. She is almost unrivaled during contests, wowing judges with her beauty and grace. She cannot speak human.
-Riley the Arcaine - He has a beautiful golden sheen to his coat, tinting the normally white stripes. He was May's first Pokemon, earning him a special place in her heart. Nothing can get him bothered or angry except threats to May. He and Sam often tag-team, complementing each other's fighting style. He can't speak human.
John Delnero - mid 30's, seeks to become a world champion. Has a full complement of six Pokemon of various types and genders (mostly male). He is confident, especially when he is getting the short end of the stick, in battle. He is tough on his team, but he is never cruel. He meets Mark in Las Vegas, occasionally running into him from time to time.
John's Team: (help with names would be appreciated ^.^ )
-Garchomp - His whole body is dull grey, except for the spike on his body. He is almost as fast as Swift. He is highly intelligent and if possible, try's using diplomacy before a battle. For all that intelligence, he is blind to Haxorus's feelings toward him. He speaks human, sort of. It is very broken.
-Swift the Pidgeot - He is a normal looking Pokemon. The fastest Pokemon on the team, he is also John's starter. He is always in the mood for a fight, but never tries to pick one. He cannot speak human.
-'G' the Golduck - His skin is more of a teal color, rather than light-blue. He picked up the nickname 'G' because no one knows his real name, and he refuses to tell what his old trainer called him. Like many Physics, he is intelligent. He does not like displaying his vast knowledge though, unless he is asked something specific. He can speak human and uses telepathy.
-Tyranitar - As one of only two females in the group, she feels that she needs to prove herself. She can take any hit, and give it back three-fold. She is more of a "hit first, ask question's later(if ever)" kind of girl as well. She does not get along with G for reasons that not even she can explain. She cannot speak human.
-Aggron - He is a normal looking Aggron. Quiet and immoveable. Once he makes a decision, that is final in his mind. He choses to win, he will win. And he always choses to win. Whenever the entire team is out, he hangs back, away from the rest of the group, despite John's best efforts. He speaks human, but it is often so hard to understand him, he simply uses Poke-speech.
-Haxorus - Her claws and tusks are a pearly-white, rather than red. The only other female in the group. Much more mellow than her soul-sister Tyranitar, she often stops her from getting to worked up. She serves as the little sister of the group, all the males acting like a big-brother to her, with John as a father figure. Since she evolved, her feelings toward Garchomp have been growing into something more, and she gets flustered and tongue-tied around him. (When not around Garchomp) She speaks fluent human.
