this story is posted with permision from it's original athur, numer987. before the story, I felt it fair to add his own disclamer.

A/N: The following fanfiction contains moderately harsh CP, long words, and a questionable knowledge of equine anatomy. I do not condone the use of CP upon the ponies of the readers. The first "chapter" is a retelling of the climax of S2E03 of My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic, and, as such, contains major spoilers. All subsequent events are non-canon. Haters gonna hate. Ponies gonna pwn. Please report any and all spelling or grammar errors my checker does not detect. All feedback is appreciated as this is my first real fanfiction. (oxymoron much?)

"Twilight Sparkle!"

Celestia's voice, akin to a mother's catching a child with a forbidden cookie, thundered across the sky as the mighty alicorn sailed down from the clouds, an expression of grave disappointment etched upon her muzzle. In a dazzling flash, the chaos that had been was reverted; the fighting amongst the ponies ceased instantly, and the ex-combatants cleared the landing zone as Celestia's hooves touched the ground.

Twilight sank meekly to the floor, hiding behind her forelegs from her clearly angered tutor. Pinkie, Applejack, Rainbow, Fluttershy, and Rarity all tensely awaited the verdict, shocked and afraid for their friend's future. Celestia held the power to separate them forever, and judging by her demeanour, she intended to exercise it.

"Meet me in the library."

With that simple order, the princess majestically departed again. Twilight Sparkle stood without pride, dejected, accepting her fate with shameful tears brewing in her wide, violet eyes. Her friends looked on in disbelief, as slowly, she crawled away, her head held markedly low.

Some time later, Twilight made it back to her - for now - home. Through the front door's window she could see Celestia drinking a cup of tea Spike had made. Her face had not changed one bit. Twilight sighed, blinked back a fresh wave of tears, and sidled quietly inside. Celestia did not look up as she entered; Twilight took this as a sign that she was really in trouble, and her stomach began to churn. Thinking of all the things Ponyville had had to offer her, of all the sights she would never see again. Worst of all, all the things she had neglected to see before. Twilight was halfway through a painful mental list of things she'd never tried at Sugarcube Corner when she was interrupted by an address.

"Twilight Sparkle, I trust you know why I have summoned you here."

Startled at the sudden sound of the princess' voice, but more so by its gentle, almost loving tone, in stark contrast to its earlier fury-ridden instance, Twilight answered "Y-yes, Princess."

"Please recount that reason, Twilight."

Upon second hearing, Celestia also sounded stern, possibly clinical. It scared Twilight to hear her talk this way.

"I... I'm here b-because I..."

"Go on."

There it was again, that hint of encouragement and love, mixed with firmness. Celestia's voice was as colourful as her mane.

Twilight swallowed what little pride remained and, with a deep breath, confessed.

"I was late with my friendship report. In fact, I haven't even written a report this week! I'm a terrible student and we're here to discuss my removal from Ponyville and my return to your magic school."

She trembled, covered her face again, and began to sob.

"You are wrong, Twilight Sparkle."

Twilight looked up in shock. "Then...expulsion?!" The word came out as a high-pitched, terrified shriek.

Celestia wrapped a wing around the distraught pony, and rocked her softly to calm her. "Why in the world would I want to keep back - much less expel - my most talented and faithful student?"

Twilight began to question her, but the princess silenced her and continued. "Twilight, you have no need to write out a report every week. That was not a part of our terms, and I simply thought you were learning quickly. You are not late; there is no 'deadline'. Do not obsess over such things."

"Then why-?"

"Tell me truthfully, Twilight Sparkle. Can you think of no other reason?"

Puzzled, Twilight looked around the room and racked her brain vigorously.

"Well...I, uh... I put a book away upside-down the other day..."

Celestia's expression grew ever more disappointed. "If that is your best answer, then it appears your recent experiences with Discord have rubbed off on you in much the wrong way."

Realisation, and great sadness, dawned on the younger pony's face. "You mean the way I set everypony into chaos, and tried to cause them problems just so that there would be problems to fix..."

The princess closed her eyes and nodded. "She who fights monsters might take care lest she thereby become a monster."

Twilight's eyes widened as she gasped. "You- you think I'm a monster?!"

"It is merely a phrase, Twilight. It means that you should not stoop to the levels of your enemies - even for your friends. You attempted to brainwash and manipulate half the town for personal gain."

"I'm really sorry, but, Princess, I thought that I would lose my friends if I didn't! I didn't think there was any other way!"

Celestia's eyes narrowed. "There is always another way, Twilight Sparkle. And the ends do not justify the means."

She had not raised her voice, but the unicorn was still taken aback. "You... you sound like you don't forgive me..."

"Did you really expect to get away with your actions scot-free?"

Twilight looked down. "Well...no, I guess not..."

"You guess correctly, my little pony. Now, come downstairs. It is time to discipline you."

Twilight Sparkle's basement was illuminated by several pink crystals, their flickering light painting the scenery with a slight magenta shade. The two ponies made their way down the staircase in silence, Twilight wondering and worrying what the princess had meant by "discipline" - particularly in a secluded room such as this, where the travellers above ground would be hard-pressed to hear the goings-on within. When the final step had been stepped, Twilight noticed one of her tree's large branches sitting none-too-haphazardly upon the middle of the floor.

"I'm sorry, Princess, I don't remember, uh, not cleaning this place up earlier. I'll just take this and-"

"I put that there, Twilight. And now I will show you why."

A familiar fuchsia aura surrounded the dark blue branch as Celestia telekinetically raised it into the air. It began to spin, quickly, and then shavings fell from the twisting blur. When it had finished, and slowed to a stop, Twilight saw that it was now a light cream in colour, and a long, thin rod in shape.

"Turn around, Twilight Sparkle. I am going to switch you. It will hurt, you will most definitely cry, but I promise not to break your skin."

Stunned, not believing her own ears, Twilight stood, mouth agape, for a full moment, before Celestia repeated her order.

"But-but... with all due respect, Princess, you can't be serious!"

"I do not joke about this kind of thing, Twilight! You will do this voluntarily, or I will force you. Do not make me force you."

This time, she had raised her voice. Twilight, frightened, did as she had said with great haste, trembling. Then she felt Celestia's hoof on her back, and four metal clamps around her own.

"Be still, my student. I give you my word that you are safe."

Twilight took a deep breath, and then another. Her trembling ceased and she moved her tail to her right side.

"Thank you, Twilight Sparkle. This will be over soon. Trust me."

Having used all of her magical concentration fashioning the switch and keeping the clamps closed, not to mention reverting the damage Twilight had caused earlier, the princess had no choice but to pick up the switch in her teeth. Twilight felt herself tapped a few times, across the flank. Celestia was sizing her up, picking her target. She began to sweat with fear and anticipation.

THWIP! The first stroke landed and Twilight gasped. A mild prickle spread through her flesh. FWIP! The second stroke was lighter, only causing her to twitch. Twilight mused at why the princess was treating her so leniently. She had expected much worse. FWAP! Third stroke struck her in the same spot as the first. It hurt more, but not overly so. Twilight became aware of a panting sound and she turned her head to face her mentor.

Celestia was breathing heavily; sweat dripping from her face, neck, and mane. She screwed up her face as she slammed the switch again, with all her might, into Twilight's flank. Twilight didn't even flinch.

"Princess Celestia, may I speak to you for a moment?"

The princess looked at Twilight and dropped her instrument of mild discomfort. "Yes, Twilight, you may. What is on your mind?"

"I've noticed that you aren't using your magic. As an alicorn, I also know that you aren't as strong as earth ponies. Thus, I believe that the current situation is detrimental to my learning experience. If you release me from these shackles, you can use your telekinesis to punish me properly. You have my word that I won't try to move or escape."

Celestia gave Twilight a quizzical look. "Are you a masochist, Twilight Sparkle?"

The unicorn indignantly snorted. "Of course not! I genuinely believe that using your magic would be the right thing to do."

The princess smiled. "Well done, my faithful student. You have, as always, passed the test."

Twilight cocked her head. "What test?"

"The test of your responsibility, Twilight. You could have said nothing, and accepted the punishment as I was giving it to you. By suggesting that I need to be harder on you, you have shown me you can be responsible."

The clamps around Twilight's hooves fell to the floor, and retreated to their original locations. Celestia raised the switch and tapped her subject's flank once more. Twilight, feeling both proud of herself for being responsible and afraid of what would happen next, turned her head away again.

THWAP! The unicorn yelped as a new, much more potent pain erupted across her skin. But she did not squirm; she kept her hooves firmly planted where they stood. THWIP! WHAP! Two quick strokes fell onto the lower portion of her flank and she allowed a small squeak to escape her lips. FWAP! CRACK! Twilight felt a burning starting to spread, as though the princess had lit the switch on fire. She squeezed her eyes shut as they began to water.

"Is this what you had in mind, Twilight Sparkle?"

Biting her lips shut, Twilight could only nod. Through her teary eyes, she saw the door at the top of the stairs swing open. However, she could make out no small purple silhouette. Twilight's horn glowed as she used her magic to close the door again.

"Well done once again, Twilight. You have passed another test."

Breathing heavily, on the verge of breakdown, Twilight responded, "What t-test? All I did was c-close a door."

"You also could have run through it. I would not have stopped you. You have proven to me that you are trustworthy. I am very proud, Twilight Sparkle."

Hearing those words from the princess made the unicorn's resolve even stronger. "Princess! Please c-c-continue with my punishment! I just want it to... be over."

"It can be over right now, if you think you have learned enough."

"Oh...um..."

"Do you want to know what I think?"

Twilight gulped. "I'm afraid you'll say I d-deserve more."

"You'd be right. Think about it - Discord is imprisoned in stone for eternity. You have received five strokes with a switch. In my opinion, you certainly deserve more for your actions. But, as I say, it is your decision."

Twilight knew what she had to say. No... she wanted to say it, too.

"Princess, I trust your opinion fully and without question. P-please continue."

No sooner had the word left her mouth than another scorching CRACK burned a deep welt into her backside and induced a howl from her shaking lungs. The princess was no longer holding back. Neither was she pausing between strokes: in the space of five seconds, four new marks had appeared on her target and four separate levels of scream had been brought forth. A short break, before another WHIP pierced the air and left a red line of fire straight across the pony's hindquarters.

Twilight, still keeping her hooves in place, hung her head and cried loudly as Celestia swiped the final five crimson stripes into her beaten behind. She heard a splitting sound as the fifth was delivered, but was in too much pain to pay attention. She sobbed freely and sank to her knees when she noticed that the princess had stopped.

"Twilight...can you hear me?"

Through her agony, the unicorn gurgled out an affirmative response.

"The switch has broken, Twilight. Do you want to stop, or shall I repair it?"

She choked, "What...whatever you decide...is best."

"I'm asking you personally, Twilight. The choice is yours."

Twilight considered her options. On the one hoof, compared to Discord, she'd be getting off lightly. On the other, she didn't know how much more she could take before breaking her promise and moving.

"I...I w-want to..."

"Yes?"

"t-to stop... I h-hope that's ok..."

A clattering sound indicated that the switch had once again been dropped. Celestia placed a foreleg around her student and sang softly into her ear.

When Twilight had regained her form, the princess spoke. "Of course it's ok. You passed the third test a long time ago."

"What? How?"

"By saying that you trust my opinion fully, and without question, you have shown me your loyalty. I had no personal reason to punish you any further. I did so only for your sake. You are forgiven, my faithful student."

Despite all her pain, Twilight sprang to her feet and embraced her tutor tightly. "I'm so sorry, Princess! I'll never be so blind again!"

Celestia returned the hug with reassuring warmth. "And I'm sorry, too, Twilight. I feel bad for putting you through all that extra suffering."

The princess magically rejoined the two halves of the switch. She offered it to Twilight and turned around.

"Care to give a little back?"
