"I'm glad you all are here. As you know the United Planet Alliance is on its final breath. It has lost all but a few inward colonies, and with their pride ship, the MX600 and her captain John Dragoon Al, the now highest ranking member of the UPA fleet missing their Earth is defenseless. Their Armageddon fleet is in ruins, what is left of it is around the planet Balzar VI, their last military operations and factory planet. It goes first. Then we move on to Mars where their Earth Defense Fleet will be located. Then we move to Earth itself. The Lunar Fortress will be waiting by the time we are done with Mars, but we will have many thousands time the numbers of ships they will have. And then, all that stands in our way of defeating the almighty United Plant Alliance is their ground forces. In one week, on October 19 we will have our victory, and I, emperor Baltar, emperor of the Communist Planets, will have done what none have been able to do for nearly two thousand years. I will have destroyed the great Alliance." The emperor said and the room full of generals and admirals began to cheer.

Henry rolled over in his bed, his body hurt from nearly three days of straight work in the Earth Defense Fleet, the ground division. He had been helping setting up defenses on the outskirts of New York City, nearly a thousand square miles, the surrounding of which had already been walled in, thousands of anti-air emplacements had been set up, the city was now a fortress.
Henry slowly got out of bed, and stood up. His arms and legs groaned with pain and he winced some. He had the day off, so he wanted to clean himself up. Three days of working had turned his white hair a brownish white color. As he stepped into his shower Henry turned on his radio. A report of an attack on Balzar VI, and the destruction of the last of the Armageddon fleet. Henry winced at the thought, only Mars stood between Earth and the Communist Planets.
Henry stepped out of the shower, dried and brushed his fur, and got dressed. His white fur flowed along his body, his grey paws still hurt, he had several cuts on them from the work. He wished he had someone to see how good he looked, but sadly with the war going on there was little to no time for love. The reporter said something about Earth's only hope was Admiral John and his fleet, but they disappeared after the defeat of the Armageddon fleet, most believe that John's fleet was destroyed along with him and the MX600. Henry didn't know what to think but he knew that Earth was done for if the Earth Defense Fleet cannot hold back the Communist fleets.
Henry sat on his bed and looked out his window; he was on the hundred and seventeenth floor of the Imperial Apartments. The view was normally quiet nice, but the large wall now surrounding the city made the background quiet ugly. Henry sighed and decided he would stay in for his day off.

John Dragoon Al, a seven foot tall blue dragon stood on the bridge of the MX600. He looked out over his small fleet, around a hundred strong, and his MX600. One good thing about his ship is that it can double as a carrier, every single one of his ships can dock with his ship at once making his fleet seem much smaller than it really was. That's what the ships were doing now, lining up to dock. It takes nearly an hour to dock them all, a fourth of the time to undock.
John was planning on joining the Lunar Fortress in defending Earth. Well that was his first plan. Then he heard Mars had been taken; now his plan was to exit Phase Space inside Earth's atmosphere. It was dangerous, but he had to do something to save Earth and what was left of the UPA.
"John, you do realize that exiting into Earth's atmosphere will almost certainly destroy or badly damage the MX600," Kel, the ship's AI, said.
"Yes I understand that Kel, but it must be done. I have chosen a good spot if we have to land we will be able to hide the ship. Now, enter Phase Space. Take us to Earth Kel. And tell everyone to get ready, and get Jake up here," John said.
There was a blue flash of light and the MX600, now full of ships, vanished from normal space.

Henry looked up in the sky; at least thirty ships now occupied the skies, far away from the border of the city, but close enough to see them easily. Henry had moved up to the roof of the apartment when the fleet engaged the Lunar Fortress. The ship put up a hell of a fight, taking out nearly half of the ships that the Communists had, but there were just too many for one ship. What was left of the Lunar Fortress crashed into the moon.
The ships were hanging outside of the range of the cities heavy anti-air guns, the ground forces were getting ready for an invasion, they had yet to call him in but Henry thought it would be a good idea to get ready. He ran back downstairs and to his apartment.
Henry was in the middle of changing when a flash of blue light followed by a loud bang rang through his skull. Henry ran to the window of his apartment, nothing but camouflage pants on, and watched as a two mile long ship fell into the ocean. Henry had never seen the actual ship, but from the pictures he knew it was the MX600.
Henry was watching the ship sink beneath the waters when he heard another loud sound; he looked and saw a Specter class drop ship flying right for him. He turned and ran towards the door, but before he could make it there was a loud crash and Henry was thrown into the wall.

Henry lifted himself off of his floor. There was ruble all around him, but he was untouched. Other than the pain in his back from slamming into the wall he was alright. Henry looked at new hole in his apartment; all that was showing of the drop ship was the rear passenger ramp. A small hissing sound came from the drop ship and the ramp fell onto the floor with a loud thud.
A large armored figure walked out of the ship, just like with the ship, Henry had never seen him in person but knew him from the news, e supposed greatest admiral in UPA history, John Dragoon Al. Following him were several other furs, and one more that Henry had heard of, Jake Redtail, John's personal bodyguard in the UPA, head security on his ship, and apparently according to the news his best friend.
"Hey, um, sorry about your house here," John said walking over to Henry.
"You're John Al, are you not?" Henry asked.
"The one and only," He said smiling, "Who might you be?"
"I'm Henry, First Sergeant third, defense division, fourth group, assault. Where have you been sir?" Henry asked.
"Hiding, waiting. My whole fleet is now hidden inside my ship, in that ocean over there," John said, "Now the Communists might know I'm here, but they don't know about the extra firepower inside the MX, I'm just here to watch and give the order."
"What about your ship? Is it not going to fight?"
"It was damaged when it exited Phase Space in atmosphere, it may never fly again, if we're lucky it will be repaired within at least a year. But that's another matter, where's your leader?"
"Well, if you want the highest ranked member of the UPA, it would be you. All of the higher ranked men were on Mars when it fell. The Communists knew just when to attack, when about three fourths of the ships would be docked at the repair and refit stations around Mars,"
"Yes, I know about the attack. Just take me to the New York headquarters, I need to get the information of my attack to the next highest ranking member here," John said, "And Henry, get a shirt on."
"Oh, yes sir sorry sir," Henry said, his cheeks reddening some.
"John, Kel just radioed in, she got into the Communist's network, the blast from the entry messed with their sensors so they have no idea that the MX is now at the bottom of the ocean. On the bad side they did see our ship crash here, and they knew it was us. They saw the flash of light, their sensors went out, and then when the MX had gone under they saw us. Their invasion of New York is beginning," Jake said.
"I see, well take this information to the headquarters Jake, and keep a watch on my status, you know what to do," John said.
"As always, take care," Jake said and saluted John, he returned it and Jake left.
"Ok, Henry, you are with me," John said looking at Henry.
"Yes sir," Henry said.
"Stop it with the 'sir', yes its regulated but I don't like being called sir, just get dressed and come on," John said.
"Yes, um, yes John," Henry said.
"Better," John said smiling.
