"BATTLE BEGIN!"

"Oshawott use scratch!" Oshawott sprints toward Panpoar faster than one would expect for a small Pokémon. Cress smiles not looking surprised, "Panpoar use double team." Panpoar's image multiplies, the number of Panpoars on the battlefield rapidly increase. "Ignore that continue with scratch." Oshawott slices through image after image trying to find Panpoar. With only three left Evens shouts, "use feint attack on the last three." Now Cress shows a look of confusion on his face, "Feint Attack, I didn't know that an Oshawott can learn that?" With Cress distracted Panpoar didn't know if it should dodge or attack allowing Oshawott a clean shot for massive damage. "My, my, the Pokémon out must be Zorua since an Oshawott cannot learn any of those moves." "Well there goes that part of the plan." Zorua drops her illusion revealing more than what she had intended. "And she is a shiny, I must say that is exquisite luck you have." Smirking Evens gives the next order, "Zorua use water gun." Calling his bluff Cress calmly tells Panpoar, "Don't move, it's an illusion." The jet of water soars down the field and scores a direct hit on Panpoar's face knocking it out. "What! How did you do that isn't that Zorua out on the field?" "Who knows, Zorua likes to do her own thing, I'm just calling out moves." Both Pokémon giggle like Zorua, making hard for Cress to determine which is which. "I see, well this has become quite the challenge." Cress returns Panpoar to his ball and sends out Lillipup, "this little one shall be your opponent now." Cress gives a serious look to his Lillipup, "be careful the opponent is a crafty one." Zorua smiles revealing a toothy grin. Lillipup is slightly intimidated by her smile, "do not fear Lillipup it is just an illusion." Lillipup stands its ground, "got it." "Now use bite!" Zorua double team." Zorua's image multiplied exponentially filling the entire battle field. "Now use razor shell!" The images still covering the battle field converge upon Lillipup holding out the water blade. "What trickery is this!?" Lillipup disappears beneath the images, after a brief moment the images disappear revealing an unconscious Lillipup. "Lillipup is unable to battle the winner is," the illusion drops showing Oshawott a little out of breath, "Oshawott, the victory goes to the challenger." Oshawott and Zorua both fall down exhausted, "don't worry we're going to the Pokémon center right now." Cress returns Lillipup and walks across the battlefield. "That was quite the performance challenger; I have never before faced such a strategy." Picking up both of his Pokémon Evens turns to Cress, "I didn't think that the idea would work, honestly and this probably won't work a second time." Looking around at all of the spectators Cress smiles and holds out a tray with a case on it. "I present to you the trio badge, and a case to hold the regions gym badges." Holding both Pokémon in one arm Evens grabs the case, "thanks Cress." Evens exits the gym and makes his way to the Pokémon center.

While lying down on the bed Evens receives a call from the front desk, "your Pokémon are ready to be picked up." "I'll be down in a minute." Making his way down to the lobby Evens sees both his Pokémon sitting on the counter, "how do you both feel?" Nurse Joy has a concerned look on her face, "your Zorua had an extreme case of exhaustion, what on earth did you do to put her in that state?" "She was in a gym battle yesterday and I had her put up an illusion with in an illusion, had I known she would have been that exhausted I never would have let her go through with it." "Well next time be more careful she is still young and cannot handle such stress." "I will I promise." "That's good to hear, well here you go." Nurse joy hands Evens their pokeballs. Placing them back on his belt Evens decides to take both of his Pokémon to a victory lunch.

Standing in front of the gym again Evens notices that Golett is standing by the front door. When he get near the door Golett opens it ushering Evens in, "the gym leader would like to speak with you." Entering the building Evens is greeted by the host, "I believe this time is for a meal?" "Yes it is." "Right this way." The host leads Evens past the same doors he went through yesterday, now standing in front of another pair of doors. Opening them Evens is greeted by Cress, "right this way sir your table is ready." The table that Evens is lead to has an exceptional view of the battle field as well as a battle that is currently underway. Cress shows up with a menu and two bowls of pokechow. "Here is the menu, and I must say that the roasted chicken has an exceptionally exquisite flavor to it, paired with the stuffed bake potatoes." "I'll have that then." "Excellent choice sir, your order shall be brought to you momentarily." Taking the menu Cress walks through a pair of doors leading to the kitchen.

After a twenty minute wait the food is brought out is a royal manner, waiter carrying each individual dish as well as the fine silverware that would be used. Laying everything out in front of Evens Cress stands near the table, "is there anything else that I can get you?" looking at the delicious food before him Evens shakes his head, "no I think that will be all." "Of course should you need anything do not hesitate to ask." Cress leaves letting Evens and his Pokémon enjoy their meal and entertainment.

When Evens finishes his meal he looks out to the battle field and the second gym match since his lunch started. Chili walks out through the doors to the kitchen holding a trey with a pokeball on it.

"I would like to present you with this." "A pokeball?" "Yes and no, yes it is a pokeball but no that is not all." "Is there a significance to this ball?" "I'm sure you have seen the Golett that stands outside." "Yeah, and?" "It's trainer abandoned it after it lost to Cilan, that was months ago, it has not left its spot since then, its waiting for its trainer to return." "So you're giving it to me?" "Yes, we received a call from Professor Juniper; she told us that you were a trustworthy trainer that would take good care of Golett." "Ok would it be any trouble if you could let it in so you can tell it now?" "That will take a little bit, since it's at the city gates." "No when I was coming here it was at the front door letting people in." "What really!?" "Yeah I'm guessing it's still there."

Chili runs past a few tables and out to the front lobby going out of site. He returns with Golett trailing behind him. "Now then, would you please accept the offer?" Holding out the trey again Evens grabs the pokeball, "Golett would you like to come with me on my journey?" "Of course master, thank you for returning for me." "I'm not your master but you are still welcome to tag along." "I see, you bear a striking resemblance to him, but my old master has a Zoroark traveling with him." Zorua freezes and turns away from the match, "how long ago was it that he was in town?!" taken back by the sudden aggravated Zorua Golett stammers, "abbbout tttwo weeks why?" snapping her head back toward Evens Zorua demands, "we're taking him with us he knows where mama is!" "I thought you didn't think he was worth the trouble?" "That was when I had no idea where he was!" "Alright, Golett want to come?" "Yes master of course, you have a gentler vibe around you." Getting up from his seat Evens walks toward the door, "hey Chili did that guy say where he was going?" "Yes he said something about having business is Nacrene town." "Well looks like he's collecting the badges too." Evens exits the building and heads toward the Pokémon center.

After packing all of his thing Evens stands at the edge of town with Golett standing next to him with Oshawott on its shoulders. Zorua who hasn't left Evens shoulder since exiting the Pokémon center speaks in a threating manner, "just you wait you bastard my master will beat the crap out of you and release mama and all of your of slaves." "Zorua watch your language, where on earth did you learn such vulgarity?" "Late night TV, you are going after him right?" "Well if he's collecting badges like I think he is then we'll run into him eventually." Zorua nods then laughs maniacally into the sky, "Muwahahahaha just you wait mama we're coming!" shaking his head at Zorua's attitude Evens presses on to the next town and his next gym battle.

Well that's the end of another chapter. Sorry about the huge begining paragraph, didn't know how to break it up. Evens will not like meeting Ramon (trainer who caught Zoroark). But that will happen later on, he still needs to run into Dante. Comment on anything that could help the story along.
