all though fate has diffrent effects on people and the way they do things, the way they live, and the way they think... it all comes to one absolute end... death. i came to this conclusion when i was alone in my room one night, just thinking about life its self... diffrent things have diffrent affects on people... some not so good... the others great. but the way we carry out fate is a desision taken upon our selves to create.

one of life's greatest blessings is the freedom to pursue one's goals. but it requires great courage to look at oneself honestly, and forge one's own path. but beyond the beaten path lies the absolute end... it matters not who you are... death awaits you. one can not avoid death, to live is to die; they are one in the same...

although i came to this... resolution if you may call it... i still had pleanty of time to do what ever i wanted or needed to do before my end comes. the same for raiku. but fate could demote this and eather one of us could die the next day or so.

death has many diffrent ways fo showing its damned face to people. car crashes, cancer, electrocution, drowing... and many more ways. but it will happen to everyone... it stalks you from the moment you are born.

but fate can protect you from death at times. good desisions, precautions, order.... it depends on what you do.

don't be afraid of death... it's natural... if you understand... then you will come to the meaning of what it means to "live".

i came to belive in one thing... an eye for an eye... do one thing and you get the same affect. this is why i have kept a good, clean life.

i was with raiku after school next to the bus. we were talking about what each other's goals in life were. me just being curious and all.

" i always wanted go for something in science " i said to raiku.

"hmmm... like what?"

" nothing in particular... a vet in medical department... they use a little science..."

" but not so much that YOU can use in one day... your smart when it comes to anything in science... i mean without you... i wouldn't of aced the group project we had a few weeks ago."

the busses sounded their horns, letting everyone that wasn't on a bus it was time to go. we got on a sat in the usall seat... all the way in the back, on the right. our conversation continuned.

" so raiku... you comming over this weekend?"

"yeah... my parents are gonna be gone tomarrow... so i can come over then."

"i feel selfish for asking that...."

and honestly... i did...

" naw... its fine... i know how... connected... you are to me."

i blushed. " i have a better idea... how about i come over to your place... seeing how i have yet to come over..."

raiku smiled " your call."

" then your house it is!"

raiku just chuckled before i cuddled next to him as we went home for the night.

saturday... middle of the weekend. i woke up to the morning rays of the sun flooding my room through my window. i looked at my clock...9:54. raiku said he would come and get me... but he never told me when. i forced myself to get up and rub my eyes awake. after rubbing my eyes, i stood up and streched. i put on a pair of black cargo pants and padded out of my room.

i didn't see my mom... but the coffee pot was on... so i knew she was awake. i padded around the breakfast bar and into the kitchen and stopped. my mom... she was laying on the floor. i rushed over and kneeled next to her. her eyes were closed and nothing moved.... not even her chest.

"MOM!!!!"

i checked her pulse... nothing... i began CPR. as i preformed... i cried. i went at it... and i went at it hard... i pressed her chest and beat on it, connecting my muzzle with her's, trying to give her oxygen. when i was about to give up... go and crawl in a corner and die... her eyes shot open and she took in a deep breath.

i cried hard as i laid my head on her chest. i could hear her heart beat.

"c-chitzkoi... w-w-what happened?" she asked as she leaned up, holding me close to her.

"y... you were just lying there... nothing... i... i thought i lost you..." i said as i hugged her tight.

she just continued to hold me as i slowly stopped crying, speaking soft, careing words. pretty soon after i stopped crying, we stood up and she looked at the coffee pot.

" damn coffee... all i remember is standing in front of this and next thing i know i awake to you crying..."

" i'm just glad that... i didn't lose you..." i said as i wipped my eyes.

" everything will be fine son... i am sure for now"

i nodded and looked at the floor. " you need to see a doctor... and see what happened so it can be prevented."

" i know..."

" and i'm comming with."

she nodded. " alright, go get ready"

i nodded and went to my room. i just sat down on my bed and sighed.

if i would of lost her today... i would of died forever... even raiku couldn't help me get out of the depression of loseing my mother early. but... i saved her... so im going to be fine... right?

"chitzkoi?"

i looked up and saw my dragon standing at my door way. i looked at the clock...11:36. i must of been with my mom on the kitchen floor for an hour and a half.

" hun... are you okay?" raiku asked as i looked back at him.

" yeah... about to go to the hospital..."

" for what?"

"i... i saved my mom from death..."

he padded to me and sat next to me, pulling me into a side hug.

i contined on " and we are going there because we want to prevent what ever happened to her."

" i understand. thats the reason your mom seemed distant when she anwsered the door..."

"i... i want you to come with."

"i can't... this is between you, your mother, and the doctor... im not in this" he said as he let go of me and looked at me.

" i don't care... i NEED you for support.."

he nodded and hugged me from the side again.

" don't let go... " i said laying my head on his shoulder

" i promise"

" ever..."

raiku lifted my head off his shoulder and smiled at me. " awe hun..."

our muzzles connected for a deep kiss. it didn't last long because my mom had called my name. we left my room and stopped at the front door, where my mom was.

" hey... can raiku come along?"

" i see no harm" my mom said

i nodded. we followed my mom out and into her car. me and raiku sat in the back as my mom started the car.

" hey chitzkoi... are you okay?" my mom asked.

" yeah... a little shocked... but fine all the same."

she nodded and backed out of our drive way, going down the street.

white... too white this place was. we were at vanderbelt hospital... the same place i was born at, got all of my check ups, and everything else that needed to be done. it scared me a little as me, my mom, and raiku sat in the waiting area. my mom's name was called and the three of us followed the doctor that had called her name.

i always hated hospitals... i don't know why... but i always have. as i looked around me, all i saw was white... white walls... white coats... white tiles... i hated it. but i endured it as we were guided to a room... a small room.

"a doctor will be with you in a moment" the doctor said.

he closed the door. my mom sat on a the thing where you could lay down if need be. me and raiku sat in the only two chairs in the room other than the doctors rolling chair.

" so what do you think will happen?" i asked my mom.

" not sure... i hope he can figure out what happened to me."

" do you think dr. ron is here?"

" i don't know"

it went silent as we continued to wait. and you know long doctors will keep you waiting... about after what felt like ten minuts a doctor came in.

and i was hopeing this, dr. ron padded in. the lion closed the door and sat on the stool with wheels, looking at my mom, then me.

" so cyrille... chitzkoi.... what bring you two here so early this time?"

" my mother... i found her laying on the floor, not breathing... and i managed to save her before it was too late."

" you use caridovascular pulamary resusatation, am i right?"

i nodded. "yes."

"it says in the report here that you were just standing next to the coffee pot and the next thing you knew you were woke up by your son... am i correct?"

" yes doctor" my mom said.

" tell me... were there any pains anywhere before this happened?"

" well, when i woke up... my chest was hurting... and it got worse over time as stayed up." my mom said.

"mmhmm... and symtoms... head ache... blury vision... nausea..?"

" well i did feel light headed at first... then it turned into a head ache"

" you had a heart attack"

" i... i did.... i would of remembered it though."

" well in some cases... the moment you black out and " die " so to speak. you lose the most current memory.. because it was yet to be stored when your brain stopped working."

my mom looked shocked... it seeming to click in her head. " i can't have them yet! im only 40!"

" thats when it happens to most people cyrille... and you were one of them."

" so what might of cause it doctor?" i asked

" many things... poor diet... clot in the heart... other things as well... but i would say for your mom its the stress...."

" she does work alot..." i said

" i see... i recomend a few days off every once in a while... just relax for abit... i have your work number, so just have your boss call me" he said to my mom as he scribled down a number and gave it to her.

she nodded and got off the table. he stood up and smiled, then looked at raiku " oh and i almost forgot... who are you sir?"

" im raiku"

" ah... okay... well they could use your help also... do you live with them?"

" no, i don't"

" well... if and when you can... help her keep in check alright?"

raiku laughed " alright"

we padded out of the room and back to the lobby.

my mom stopped and looked back at us. " do you think i work to much?"

i looked at her and nodded.

" lets go home... im tired of being here"

i nodded as she padded off.

as we got into the car, i cuddled close to raiku.

" oh... you supposed to be going to his house right?" my mom said

" yeah" raiku said.

" i can drop you both off and go back on my own."

" will you be fine on your own?"

" im sure i will." she started the car and drove out of the parking lot and drove away from the building.

she stopped after raiku told her the directions to his place. me and raiku got out and i walked to the driver's side of the car. mom rolled down the window.

" have a good time son"

" you too mom... be sure to call your boss and tell him"

" i will, don't worry"

" promise?"

" i promise"

" love ya mom... see you tomarrow."

"love you too chitzkoi"

she rolled up her window and backed out of raiku's drive way, then driveing out of sight. i followed raiku into his house, letting me in first and shutting the door behind me. he led me to his room and i looked around. it was pretty much like my room... just a little bigger and he had bright blue walls.

" blue... sky blue, right?"

he nodded and sat on his bed.

i stood there... and i knew something was going to happen, some time tonight. i looked around once more and spotted a digital clock...4:26. i looked back at raiku and he smiled at me.

" come here hun... you seem displaced"

" i AM displaced... i know nothing of this place." i said as i just stood there.

" well come here... be with me..."

i nodded and stood infront of him. he wrapped his arms around my waist and hugged me... his head just a few inches above my crotch. i blushed lightly and smiled. i brought my paws to his head, moveing them around as i rubbed the top of his head. he began to hum quietly and tighten his grip around my waist. i felt him grab around the base of my tail, then moveing his hand over my tail till his paw went past my tail tip, he did it over and over again.

i moved back a foot, makeing him let go of me. i looked down and he looked up. our eyes locked and i kneeled down in front of him, our eyes never looking away.

he closed his legs and i placed both of my paws on his knees. " i think fate promotes this oppertunity..." i said as my paws came together and i forced them in between his legs.

he relented and i kept my paws in the inside of his thighs, one paw on each leg as i slowly moved them forward to my goal. his legs open again, i made for my goal, my right paw reaching it first.

we laid there, in eachother's embrace. and for the first time... i felt like i was ment to be somewhere... in this dragon's arms... and in his life.
