#1 of Evens and Dante's Adventure in Unova

This is the first story that I have written on my own and is not required for a writing class. I do not own Pokémon or any major cities in Pokémon; I do create small towns throughout the story. Due to my preferences there will be no rape or torture of any kind in this and any other stories that I may write. Please leave constructive criticism in the comments to help in bettering my stories.

A Different Kind of Wet Dream

Wet, why is it that in most of my dreams I feel wet? I've stopped wetting the bed years ago so why do I feel it now? Why does my body feel so weak, and why can't I open my eyes?

Rushing water is the only thing that can be heard. Swift jerking motions can be felt on my right shoulder, like something is pulling me. Everything feels so cold, and I still can't open my eyes. "Man this human is so heavy", wait did I hear that right "this human?" where am I? The last thing I remember was playing Pokémon black and saving the game before I faced Adler the champion. "Boy this sure was an unexpected surprise; I have to tell Professor Juniper about this human that I found in the river." Wait did I hear that right Professor Juniper!? Man I really have to get up now.

Oshawott the sea otter Pokémon runs back to the lab as fast as his short legs can carry him. "Professor Juniper, Professor Juniper come quick hurry, hurry!" Professor Juniper was working at her computer when she felt a tug on her lab coat, looking down she notices the small water type Pokémon looking frantic, "what happened Oshawott did you lose your shell in the river again?" Oshawott shaking his head furiously exclaims "No, No I found a human in the river and he's unconscious!" The Professor quickly gets up from her chair, "take me to where you found him now!"

Evens slowly opens his eyes and gets up to take a look at the world that he thinks he's in. "hmm well this is definitely a problem," pinching himself, "well I'm not dreaming and I have no idea where I am, but if what I heard was correct then I have a really bad feeling that I won't be seeing home any time soon." Taking in his surroundings Evens sees a small river in front of him, turning around he sees some trees and a large building off in the distance. A breeze blows by reminding him of his wet clothes, "I better head to that building, see if Professor Juniper is there." Walking toward the building Evens sees some birds in the sky, "ha well would you look at that, a flock of Pidove. Well I guess I was right I am in the Unova region" as the building gets closer Evens sees a person running towards him, looking more closely he notices that the person has on some sort of white coat on.

Professor Juniper still following Oshawott sees the human that he was talking about. As she gets closer she can tell that he's shivering, "excuse me are you alright?" Evens can now clearly see the Professor right in front of him, "yeah I'm fine just a little cold." "Well come with me so I can get you something warm and dry to wear." Following the Professor back to the lab Evens notices that small Oshawott following on the heels of the Professor. I had better thank him for pulling me out of that river when we get to the lab.

Inside the lab the Professor gives Evens a grey sweat suit, "here wear this while I get your clothes dry, you can change in the room over there." In the room Evens removes the wet clothing, revealing the cubby body that he has. Two year of high school football may not have chiseled his body into the perfect form that he imagined when he first joined, but what it did give him was the ability to use his weight to his advantage should he find himself in a fight. Being five feet eleven inches and weighing two hundred and sixty pounds meant that not a lot of people gave him problems even if he was a starting lineman. Shaking his head to remove any excess water from his hair, he examined himself in the mirror before him, "same black hair, same brown eyes, and same body well at least I'm not a completely different person." A knock on the door distracted him from his evaluation, "is everything all right in there?" "Yeah everything's fine," quickly putting on the new clothes Evens opens the door and hands the professor the wet clothes, "here you go." The Professor takes the clothes and hands them to an Audino, "here take these to the laundry room to get dry." The Audino nods taking the clothes and walks off down the hall.

Making their way back to the main lab the Professor offers Evens a seat, "so can you tell me how you ended up in that river?" "Honestly Professor I myself don't know the last thing that I was doing was playing a Pokémon game before going to bed." The Professor ponders Evens words, "did you say Pokémon game?" "I know how crazy it sounds but yes in the world that I am from this world is just a hand held video game." Getting up from her seat the Professor examine Evens head, "well I don't see any injures." Leaning back, "I know, I thought I hit my head too when I woke up and found myself on the riverbank." "I see well I don't have any answers as to how you got here." "I figured as much, my name is Evens by the way." "Your name is Evens?" "Yeah it's like ekans but switch the k and a to v and e." "Ok, hmm you seem very calm for someone who has realized that he's not on the same planet as his own anymore." "Well I figured that there was no use in stressing over it since I'm pretty sure there is no way of my ever returning home." "Still you don't seem at all worried." "No use crying over spilled milk." Nodding her head the Professor begins to understand Evens logic in his predicament. "Well seeing as you're stuck here indefinitely there must be a few questions that you may have." "Just one professor, is it possible for me to go on a Pokémon adventure?" "Yes of course it's possible you just have to register as a trainer and I can start you off on your journey." "There won't be a problem with my identity?" "No so long as you tell the truth about who you are there won't be any problems."

The Professor begins the paperwork of registering Evens as a Pokémon trainer. "Well that just about does it; you are now officially a registered Pokémon trainer." "That's awesome now I get to pick my starting Pokémon now right?" "Yes you have three choices," "Oshawott, Snivey, and Tepig right?" Surprised at the quick response the Professor answers, "why yes how did you know that?" "It's the same as in my game, which Pokémon was the one that pulled me out of the river?" "That would be Oshawott," the small Pokémon peeks out from behind the Professors leg. "Hi there I haven't thanked you yet for saving me, thank you, do you want to come on an adventure with me?" The small water type looks up at the Professor who smiles and nods in approval. "Yes, yes I would," slowly emerging from his hiding place Oshawott looking at the ground slowly brings his eyes up to meet his new master. Gentle, caring eyes yes this person will make a fine trainer. Professor Juniper smiles at the thought of the person in front of her meeting all kinds of Pokémon on his adventure.

At the entrance to the lab the Professor holds out a tray with five pokeballs, a belt with six magnets on it, a pokedex, and a plastic card. "Here is everything that you will need for your adventure," "I take it that the card is similar to a credit card?" "Yes it has about five thousand pokedollars on it." "Thank you Professor and I will take good care of Oshawott." Bowing to each other Evens takes the items on the tray and turns to leave stopping in mid-step, "oops I almost forgot, Oshawott come on out," holding out a pokeball the ball opens and out pops a ball light that dims and takes the form of Oshawott. "If you're going to be my partner then you don't have to be in your pokeball if you don't want to." Oshawott looking at Evens smiles widely, "thank you, thank you." Smiling back Evens begins walking again out the door.

Holding out his pokedex Evens accesses the map examining it closely, "well it looks like the nearest pokemart is in Noches town, and that's about a three hour walk from here." Sighing and shrugging his shoulders Evens presses on. The walk there was not as bad as he thought it would be, along the way he saw many different kinds of Pokémon, "hmm I want to catch them but I don't want to endanger Oshawott since I don't know what moves he knows seeing as how this region is different from the game." When he reaches Noches town he can he the whispers of the other townsfolk, "look at what he's wearing," "how is he not embarrassed to be seen like that?" Oshawott looks up at his trainer with a worried look, "don't worry Oshawott I know I look silly that's why we're heading to the pokemart, so I can get some new clothes and some other supplies if we're going to go on this adventure." Nodding Oshawott continues to walk closely to his trainer. When Evens reaches the pokemart he makes a mental check list, ok so I need a change of clothes, a tent, a sleeping bag, some potions, hmm can't think of anything else at the moment. The inside of the store far extends beyond the pokemart in the game. Finding all the necessary items was not difficult since all of the isles had signs labeling where everything could be located. The entire shopping time was less than thirty minutes, a majority of the time spent finding clothes that fit comfortably. The total cost of everything added up to about five hundred pokedollars. The clothes that Evens picked were a pair of baggy blue jeans, a grey shirt that was a size larger than what he was, a pair of decent running shoes, and a backpack that held the remaining items as well as a black hoodie for when things got cold.

Standing at the edge of town Evens looks down at Oshawott, "well you ready to get started?" Oshawott looks up at his trainer beaming, "yes, yes!" unknown to them another entity was watching from the shadows evaluating when was the best time to strike.

Well that's the end of the first chapter. Again please leave constructive criticism in the comments to help in bettering my stories. the next will be put up as soon as I finish writing it.
