Romari Susi is a dirty old wolf, the emperor of a mighty nation, and the joint-CEO of a massive worldwide corporation; he's well respected, and is closeted from the rest of the world, though it's a poorly kept secret at best. He shares his bed with his straight-laced secretary, co-CEO, and mate Neal, who is a flying fox (AKA, a fruit bat). Luckily for their domestic tranquility, Neal is rather open to his mate's wide-ranging romantic exploits.
Occasionally joining them in their adventures is the captain of their imperial guard, a raccoon named Taxas.

Captain of the Guard Taxas:"Pardon me a moment, Secretary. I was wondering if I could ask you a question?"
Imperial Assistant Neal:"Yes, Captain?
Taxas:"Why is His Eminence the emperor chasing a pair of naked screaming stableboys out on the front lawn, cackling maniacally, and wearing nothing but a mile-wide grin?"
Neal:"Ah. Well, he's pretending to be a lunatic pretending to be sane."
Taxas:"I...don't exactly follow."
Neal:"Well, you see, he's insane, as everyone knows, even if they don't know because he isn't, and he knows that they know, but they don't know that he knows that they know, and it suits him to know that they don't know, and he sees it as a net pro, as you well know."
Taxas:"No."
Neal:"No? Oh. Well, the insane laughter is because he's technically an evil overlord. After centuries of megalomaniacal dictators with crazed whims and horrible sexual fetishes, the populace refuses to take him seriously if he doesn't have at least a few...quirks. He's not nearly as bad as they think, but people underestimate him because of it. And so he's running around naked and chasing servants in full view so the paparazzi can film the event 'in secret' and inform the media."
Taxas:"Ah. I...see. Is he... Is he really going to ravish those boys? He's my liege and I'll follow him unto death, but that...doesn't seem right at all."
Neal:"It's a ruse. He's a beneficent ruler, and wouldn't touch those young men if they weren't perfectly willing, but they are there mostly to help him keep up the pretense of secretly being a dirty old man and a sex-crazed homosexual."
Taxas:"Well, that's a relief. Why are they naked, then?"
Neal:"Because he's actually a dirty old man and a sex-crazed homosexual."
Taxas:"Ah."
