Prologue

She dashed threw the darkened forest as blood ran from her forehead to her cheek. Her dress, long and flowing white with stains of blood and dirt, caught on a branch. She had no time to stop and untangle the ragged dress and kept running as the dress tore from her and stuck to the branch. She kept running unable the see anything around her.

"Ahh!"

She fell to her knees as they tore open and blood ran down her legs.

"You can't run forever Anetka," a strong male voice taunted from the shadows. "There is not place to hide, we will always find you."

"Stop it stop it! Leave me alone!"

"Just join us Anetka, we won't have to kill you then."

Anetka called out in terror as a shadow darker then the forest around her crossed her face, " I will never join you! I rather be killed then join you!"

"Give up," the male voice called again more husky. " Give in to your desires, we can give you anything you want." The male voice grew to an echo like it was a bad thought in her head.

"Come with us Anetka," a female voice echoed calmly. " We can give you anything, even-" the female voice cut off for a seconded before both voices yelled harshly like they were scolding a puppy, "Your parents!"

Anetka's eyes opened wide with hope and with fear as tears that sparkled like cyrstals ran down her dirty cheeks. They shined out from the depths of dark the woods and the world around her seemed to carry.

"M-mom. D-dad!" She called out. "Mom Dad!"

She looked around frantically, searching for the faces that offered her parents to return to her. She finally spotted to face. One was red, cold, evil. Pointy eyes and a pointy smile, smile, the smile of a pumpkin. The other was the same except electric blue. She had the same face but all Anetka could see was sadness.

"That's right," the male voice chuckled evilly; interrupting her thoughts. As he spoke his mouth did not move, but his words rang threw out the depths. "Join us Anetka, and with your powers, we can rule the world together!"

"What powers!" Anetka screamed confused.

She glanced up at the blue face as it moved closer and a leopard women came into view. She was wearing a bear skin flap to cover between her legs and a tight, torn tank top. She put her tail on Anetka's shoulder then wrapped around her and placed her head on the other one and mumbled with an echo, "wake up Anetka."

Then women the screamed echoing her words, "Wake Up!"

Anetka jumped and closed her eyes tight. When she opened them, the dark forest was gone and so was the red face and the leopard women. It was a dream, a terrible dream, but a dream non the less. She sat up from her bed and saw her grandmother standing in the doorway.

"Time to get up, you start training soon." The old women said walking away from the door way.

"Hmm," She blinked once more and shook the dream away for good and jumped out of bed with all her energy. She dashed over to the closet and pulled out some jeans and a tight white top. She ran around her room preparing for her day: brushing her hair, putting her clothes on, brushing her teeth, and gathering her school stuff.

She ran down stairs, kissing her grandmother on the cheek before rushing out the door and off to school.
