"Guys, lunch is ready!" called a human from the comfort of the downstairs kitchen. Hai...

"Guys, lunch is ready!" called a human from the comfort of the downstairs kitchen. Hair just going down his hair, which was as black as Darkrai body, and eyes as green as a Flygon's main skin color, the trainer and keeper of six different Pokémon placed three plates on the table, three more on a much smaller table next to each. Bringing his tan hand though his hair, he smiled as he also rubbed his thin bread. Two earrings on each ear shook as he moved, turning his back to the door to look outside at the clear afternoon sky, opening the window to let the breeze come in. his light sweater being opened, a color of blue, with a black stripe around the upper chest part, his jeans a lighter faded blue. He looked down when he felt something wrap around him, almost like a hug around his leg, going up to his waist until the head of the Pokémon, a female Arbok.

The trainer being like a mini Pokédex, remembered everything about his Pokémon, and could tell you what the Pokédex said, like how Arbok bears a resemblance to a cobra, with the majority of its body being purple. Arbok have a "hood" much like a cobra, though it has never been shown to be able to retract it. There is a red, black and yellow pattern on this hood that looks somewhat like an angry face to intimidate other Pokémon. Though the Pokémon did always look angry with everyone, she was always nice to her trainer and other Pokémon in the house, her human staring at her with unblinking eyes as she too did the same.

"You know you can't beat me," she hissed slightly with a small grin on her muzzle. "Doesn't matter how many time, I can keep my eyes wide open for hours on end!" the human rolled his eye slightly, every morning, she would do the same, starring at him like a contest, he almost won one time, but she cheated and sneezed in his face. Unlike her kind, who would his at the S's, she being with Brandon since she was just an Ekans, she being his first Pokémon, she learned to drop that habit long ago, even before she evolved.

"Yeah," he answered looking away as he walked over to the freezer to take out the meat he would use to make dinner, needing to defrost it before he could cut it up, the snake Pokémon still clinging around his waist, her head next to his as he placed the frozen meat in a bowl in the sink. "But, can't blame a guy for trying right?" she only tilted her head slightly, shaking her head slightly as he yawned slightly rubbing his eyes.

"You stayed up late again did you?" she question giving him her famous evil glare as she slightly shrank back laughing sharply as she only shook her head once more going back to the ground as she went to the small table, looking at her food he made for her, the smell almost making her drool and she started to eat.

"Arbok, are you trying to scare Brandon again?" both turned to see a large Pokémon, standing at a height of six foot two, just the same height as his trainer. Red goggles like eyes, dark green skin and light green horns and, different from his kind, who would have the opposite color way. Flygon whips up a sandstorm by flapping its wings. The wings create a series of notes that sound like singing. Because the "singing" is the only thing that can be heard in a sandstorm, this Pokémon is said to be the desert spirit. His tail slowly wagging as he sat in the chair by the large table and started to eat, Arbok hissing slightly as she went back to eating; Brandon rolling his eyes. The next two who came, were the youngest of the group, a young Totodile and Charmander with black and gold eyes. the Totodile with dark blue skin, red horns and yellow chest marking, and Charmander, a orange skin with yellow underbelly, a tiny flame growing behind his tail as they both ran in, going right to Brandon's legs as they hugged them tightly.

"Hey Brandon!" they both cried at once with huge grins on their faces, then letting go to go to the small table with Arbok as Brandon only laughed slightly as well as another female of the group.

The Zangoose stood shorter then her trainer red markings over her chest, claws and eye, her black nails seeming long and deadly, she smiled at Brandon and took her seat beside Flygon who nodded to her, which she returned with a nod of her own. Zangoose usually stays on all fours, but when angered, it gets up on its hind legs and extends its claws; though she stays on her hind legs a lot ether way. This Pokémon shares a bitter rivalry with Seviper that dates back over generations. And the last Pokémon, and also new to the group was a Blaziken. Her red feather body easily showing she was a fire type and lean muscles showing she was also a fighting type. Blaziken is a shuffling and gabba Pokémon covered almost completely with red hair and feathers. The back of its head has light, long white hair that extends over its chest and armpits, resembling a vest. Its face is completely red with a crest-like formation, in the shape of a "V", on top of its beak. Red and yellow hair covers its long legs and its feet. Each of Blaziken's hands have three claws, and fire that surrounds its wrists. She stood by the door, arms crossed looking at Brandon with unblinking eyes like Arbok, but unlike the snake type Pokémon, she seemed to study Brandon, not play with him.

"Morning Blaze," he spoke, she being the only Pokémon in the group with her own name, a name she told Brandon that she had before he caught her. "Did you sleep well?"

"I slept fine master," she spoke, putting her claw hands on her hips while walking toward the table and sat down, Brandon blinked, going to the table as well, sitting down as he ate. Once swallowing the food he had in his mouth he answered her.

"You don't have to call me master you know," he spoke. "You are not my slave, none of you are."

"You are the trainer," she spoke taking another spoon full of food. "It is only right that I call you what you are, I am your Pokémon and you are my master."

Charmander climbing onto Brandon's lap, allowing the human to rub his head softly as he murred and nuzzled into his hand the others watching to see what Brandon would say.

"Well," he answered. "I won't force you to call me by my name," he answered. "But, you don't have to call me master, just remember that alright?" she only nodded, going back to eating as the room went silent for a moment until Totodile looked up from his plate, having just licked it clean.

"What are you doing today Brandon?" he asked like always as Brandon sighed.

"Going to work," he answered. "Someone need to work to put food on the table," he laughed slightly and stood up, taking his plate, Charmander's and Totodile's who were don, placing them in the sink and went toward the back door. "Just don't burn the house down please!" he called out before leaving the six alone.

"Okay. What's your deal?" Arbok asked putting her plate in the sink as she turned to Blaze. "I mean, why do you keep calling him master?"

"I told him and you all heard my reason why." She answered looking away. "My old trainer wished me to call him master and do as he asked, so I pass that right to the one you call Brandon."

"Look," Zangoose spoke up looking at her as well. "We know what your old trainer did to you, even Brandon since he 'adopted' you as these humans say. But you know he is not like that at all, he would never do that!"

"Too bad too," Arbok hissed softly as she looked to be dreaming of something as Flygon rolled his eyes.

"What is it with you and him?" Flygon demanded. "Why do you always try and court him, you know he won't mate with you!"

"Hey, you don't know that!"

"Well for starter," he pointed out pointing one claw finger up. "It is the human law to mate with Pokémon, saying that they are abusing us, ha!" he snickered. "As if they could hurt us!" Blaze looked away for a moment as Flygon caught his mistake. "Sorry." She only nodded her head, leaning her body on the doorway frame as she looked to where he left.

"I just don't understand," she said. "I mean, doesn't he want a mate?"

"I'm sure he does," Zangoose nodded as Charmander and Totodile made their way to the living room to play fight. "I mean, he does seem lonely, I mean, Arbok, have you ever seen him with a female of his own kind?"

She shook her head, giving her answer.

"No," she answered. "I don't even think he even mated before!"

"Okay, let's not talk about how our trainer hasn't mated," Flygon answered crossing his arms as Arbok snorted.

"Hey, you just want to mate with him as much as us so stop your belly aching!"

"Watch who you're talking to, you living garden hose!"

"What did you call me!" she shirked as Zangoose sighed going between the two.

"Okay, that's enough both of you!" even though she was smaller then the two, she wasn't taken lightly, being the third strongest of the group, she was still the fastest. "Now how about we clean up this house for him hrm, and Blaze, it's your turn to sleep with him if you wish to." But the Pokémon was already gone, leaving the three in the room slightly confused.

Brandon came back home later that night, working at a Pokémon center did have it's perks, if any of his friends were hurt or sick, he could easily cure them himself, from just simple things like aches in the gut, to a time when Charmander ate something he was not to and was throwing up badly. He had ordered their favourite take-out pizza shop, each getting their own order of pizza, or small for Totodile and Charmander. Blaze was watching him the whole time as she slowly ate her food, the human not paying any mind to it.

"So why haven't we've battle in a while?" asked Flygon to break the mood of laughter. "I mean, I yearn to battle once more!"

"Guys," Brandon spoke. "I told you, we already have all the badges of this land, and I can't up and quit my job now when we're not even close to the payment of a boat to get us to ether another land to battle eight more, or the Pokémon championship; trust me, I would if I could."

"Then can you at least spar with me like old times?" Blaze looked to the green Pokémon in confusion; she never thought he would ask their master to battle, he was only human.

"Sure," he nodded putting his food down. "Just let me get ready, okay?" he left then, going upstairs as Blaze turned to him, her look told him everything as the other laughed at her concern look.

"Don't worry blaze," Totodile told her walking up to look up at her. "Long ago, Brandon use to train with a Lucario, in fact, it's pretty rare if those three can beat him!"

"Wait..." she asked looking at Zangoose, Arbok and Flygon. "You've all fought him?" they all nodded as she looked confused.

"Brandon may be human," the purple snake spoke while taking the stray from her drink and scrupling the rest of her soda down. "But he has a rare power that many humans don't have; he has a very strong aura, so strong in fact that Lucario was almost unable to read it!" (If anyone can tell me where this idea of unreadable power because one is too strong, tell me and you may name one of the other five Pokémon!)

"Yeah!" Charmander spoke up. "He can even do an Aura Sphere!" then as if one cue, Brandon walked down, replacing his sweater with just leaving his white shirt on and much tighter jeans to show his leg muscles, he wore gloves on his hands which he too tightened, and a head band, tided around his forehead, the behind draping down.

"Ready?" he asked as Flygon nodded him and the human going outside with everyone else behind.

Flygon took one end of the fenced in backyard, while Brandon took another, one hand clutched into a fist, he brought his open hand over it, and gave a slight bow, like his teacher Lucario taught him. The other Pokémon did the same, a form of honored that if the other wishes to quit, they will stop. The other five Pokémon watched as Brandon brought one foot before him, the other bent behind him, one hand forward, bent like Arbok ready to strike, the other behind his back like he was fencing. The dragon Pokémon flew to him at high speed, Blaze almost jumping in to keep her master safe until at the last moment, Brandon was gone, Flygon whipped his head around to see Brandon running straight for him, to the left. Somehow Brandon was able to move out of the way with such speed that even Flygon didn't see, running on his toes like a dog type Pokémon, Brandon started to attack. Swing after swing went after Flygon, his body twisting as if he was dancing as the green Pokémon backed away, dodging every attack until he took to the skies, Brandon looking up and jumped back; crouching low to the ground like a car about to pounce. Roaring like a beat Flygon dived down fast, his wings glowing sliver as he turned to his side and whipped them both, two sliver waves came after Brandon who moved left and right avoiding the attacks, but he was too slow for the last one.

Flygon sent a hidden attack after him, which hit him on the side, making him hurl toward the fence, a small snap and dent in the wooden area was seen and heard as Flygon landed, half thinking he really hurt Brandon, but was surprised when he saw him stand and laugh.

"You've grown faster and stronger," he commented. "I may have to go all out on you with this next attack!" bringing both hands before him, he snapped his writs together; a light blue hue glowed around his hands as he snapped them to his side. As he held his stance, his hands started to glow, Blaze watched in amazement as he started to charge up the attack of an Aura Sphere. Closing his eyes, he focused on just Flygon before him; nothing was around him, just himself and the Pokémon. Flygon also got ready, bringing his head up to charge his own attack, roaring out as he shot his muzzle forward shooting out purple blue like attack, Dragon Rage. Brandon also shooting his hands forward, released the blue hued ball forward with high speed, the two attacks colliding as they both struggled to hold the other's attack back. Blaze watched as Brandon took a step back, slowly crouching low to the ground once more until he cried out and pushed forward harder, the ball shooting forward and splitting Flygon's attack, and hitting him in the chest, making him hit the ground as well as Brandon from the force of the two attacks exploding.

"Brandon!" Arbok slithered as fast as her body could take her to Brandon unmoving body as Flygon got up with the help of Charmander and Totodile. The human groaned and sat up just before she got to him, Zangoose right behind the snake as the human slowly stood up dusting the dirt off his clothing as he turned to look at the two females before him.

"No worry," he smiled with a small grin. "I'm fine,"

"That never happened before," Flygon spoke walking up with a slight limp. "When that happens, a lot of time my attack overpowers yours because of me being a Pokémon; but...this time, both of them were the same power level!"

"Yeah, I felt it too," the trainer nodded, looking up to see the sun slowly set. "Well, how about I go make us some food, then we go to bed alright?" they all nodded as Brandon made his way slowly toward the house, leaving the Pokémon outside as Blaze looked down at her friends.

"How..."

"See," Arbok spoke. "Few humans can do that, but Brandon's seem stronger somehow."

"Do you think it was because of...?"

"It does make sense," the snake nodded to the dragon looking Pokémon. "How else would he have grown stronger?"

"What are you two talking about?" asked Blaze as the two looked toward each other; even Flygon and the other two smaller Pokémon seemed confused.

"Before, when it was just us three," Zangoose started to say. "Before he had such a powerful aura, he was just like any other human, but...something happened, it was close to five years ago..."

Brandon, a human of the age of fourteen, made his way down the woodiness path around him. On one side, slithering beside him was a small purple snake named Ekans, she would look up at him from time to time to stick her tongue at him to make him smile, sitting on his shoulder, Zangoose, one claw on his head.

"Okay then," he nodded to himself. "Our first gym badge down, seven to go!"

"Yeah!" cried Zangoose with her claws in the air, before she lost her sitting and started to fall back, grabbing a claw full of his hair making him yelp in pain. "Sorry Brandon!" she cried covering her face with her claws as he laughed.

"No worry," he answered. "Now, how about we break for the night alright? The sun is setting and we all need our sleep." Both Pokémon nodded as they moved off the road to a large circle clearing; the human setting up a fire and his sleeping bag, Zangoose and Ekans going off to find food and water; Ekans the food and Zangoose the bucket of water. Brandon playing a soft song on his flute he played for the two girls, something to help sooth their worries of the battles of the day, each laying on his lap, the snake with her tail wrapped around his leg, and Zangoose hugging his waist. Once he felt them sleeping, the vibration easily felt on his legs, he too laid down, one hand on each of their backs as he too fell asleep.

Zangoose opened her eyes later that night, eyes slightly drooping and she stood up and snapped her lips and yawned loudly.

"What are you doing?" asked Ekans moving her head from the human leg to watch her with half asleep eyes.

"As Brandon would say," she answered yawning again. "Gotta take a leak..." rolling her eyes, Ekans closed her eyes once more, going back to sleep as the white Pokémon went off far off so Brandon couldn't hear her or see. Once she thought she was far enough, she looked around, and was about to release her bladder, when something caught her nose. A smell she only knew from what her mother told her about, a foe that for hundreds, if not thousands of years that her own kind fought with.

"You're in my land you fool!" turning around and backing away as three Pokémon slowly made their way out, all the same type, Seviper.

Seviper, the Fang Snake Pokémon. For many generations, it has feuded with Zangoose. It whets its bladed tail on rocks for battle. It sharpens its sword like tail on hard rocks. It hides in tall grass and strikes unwary prey with venomous fangs. It's sword like tail serves two purposes - it slashes foes and douses them with secreted poison. It will not give up its long- running blood feud with the ZangoosePokémon. Three of them slowly moved closer as Zangoose backed away just as slowly, usually she could fight off one, but three with just her, and her trainer so close and asleep, she couldn't ad wouldn't allow harm come to him!

"Sssshe reekssss of a human my mate!" one of them spoke, the one on the right with a voice of a female, as the other one on the other side nodded; a scar over its lip.

"Yessss," also female. "Sssshe does."

"Sssso you have a massster then," the male asked with a small smile. "Maybe I'll let my matessss take you on, while I take your human!"

"N...no!" she cried. "Leave Brandon alone!" all three laughed loudly, the first female striking tackling the Pokémon to the ground, her fangs just inches from her cheek as Zangoose closed her eyes, waiting for death. A deafen scream caused her to open her eyes as she saw the Pokémon that was above her get thrown away from her, a foot stomped before Zangoose, she slowly looking up to see Brandon standing over her, the look of pure rage on his face. His hands turned to fist as they shook with anger.

(Avenged seven fold: Strength of the world "first 1:25 seconds")

"Zangoose are you alright?" he asked without taking his eyes off the three snakes Pokémon before him. Ekans came up beside Zangoose to make sure she was alright.

"Sssso," the male hissed. "You are the human ssssshe sssspoke of?"

"Yes," Brandon nodded holding his fist up. "And you will not harm her, or any one on my friends while I'm around!" the Seviper laughed loudly as did his mates.

"My matessss," he spoke looking back. "Leave the human to me, when I kill him, you may have his Pokémon as your feasssst." Both females giggled softly as Brandon glared and turned to look at both him and the two behind him.

"Stay back alright?" he asked with a nod. "I got him; I want you two to get away."

"Brandon..." Zangoose whimpered softly.

"I'll be fine alright?" he smiled softly. "Now, go on." He turned back to the Seviper before him. "I have a snake to skin!"

"Wait a second!" cried Blaze in a surprised voice for the first time at such loudness. She was always the whispering type, but this caused her to speak clearer and louder then normal. "You were going to allow him to fight a Pokémon, a Pokémon mind you that could kill him with its tail blade and poison fangs!?"

"Brandon is hard headed," Zangoose answered with the nod of her head. "He wouldn't allow us to fight, and plus. There were the two other Pokémon behind the male, so if they attacked, we were going to interfere."

"But they never did, didn't they?" Charmander asked looking up at the white Pokémon as she shook her head.

"No, it went like this..."

Brandon and Seviper rolled on the ground, Seviper coiled around the human, ready to crush the life from him, poison dripping from its fangs to the ground beside Brandon, a low hissing noise heard from the grass burning as he grunted and leaned closer and biting the snake hard on the closest thing he could find. Hallowing in pain, the snake retreated from the human as he rolled back onto his feet, spitting out a glob of blood onto the ground, wiping his mouth with the back of his shirt.

"I'll admit human," he spoke with a low hiss. "I didn't think you would be able to hold me back assss you are doing now."

"Years of training with Lucario," he answered moving to circle the snake in a half circle walk, going backwards as he made sue to jump between his Pokémon and the Pokémon before him if he tried anything funny.

"Yesss..." Seviper spoke again closing his eyes slightly. "I can feel the power flowing though you even assss we sssspeak. Ssssuch powers from one sssso young, your kind try sssso hard to unlock the aura within you, and yet, you were able at ssssuch a young age." He moved closer to the human who backed away once the other two slowly moved forward as well. Let'sss make a deal ssshall we?" he asked with the tilt of his head. "Join me, ssssure we will join your team, but I will be the alpha of the group, we will go over the world, bringing death to all that apposssse usss!" Brandon only smirked and shook his head.

"What else would you like to do," he asked waving his hands in the air. "Play house and you are the daddy, fat chance buddy!"

Hissing he crouched low to the ground.

"Have it you way human!" then he lunged forward with speed Brandon didn't know he had, eyes growing wide until it was too late. The sound of flush cutting and the image of the snake's blade going though his chest were seen poking out of his back. Brandon couldn't even scream, in so much shock as he looked down, but he did hear two screams. Zangoose got up at once and was running toward him, but the female Sevipers got to her first Ekans right behind Zangoose ready for a fight until they indeed heard another scream, male, but not Brandon's the body of the male snake fell to the ground, his own blade, cut from his body sticking out of his chest as he laid dead on the ground, his female shrieked in woe as Brandon slowly turned to them, blood oozing from his chest.

"Leave..." he gasped in a rasped voice. "Or you'll share his fate..." They only looked to each other for a few seconds, before moving as fast as they could past Brandon, grabbing onto their mate and fled the scene. Brandon looked toward his Pokémon who watched with him with wide eyes, he giving them a small smile before falling onto his belly, blood flowing out into the ground.

"Brandon!" they both cried running toward him, pushing him onto his back and shaking him, blood flowing from his mouth and toward his cheek as Zangoose eye's started to water. She was blaming herself, if she didn't leave, he wouldn't be in this mess he was now. They didn't even think if he was alive or not!

"A human fighting to keep his Pokémon friends from harms way," a low female voice was heard from the forest around them, Zangoose standing up at once as Ekans guarded his body with the upmost care. "I do no mean you two any harm," the voice spoke again, a low mist was seen flowing around them, but did not touch any of their bodies, the two looking confused, until they saw what was making the mist...

"Well...?" asked Flygon in a suspended like voice. "What was making the voice to save Brandon!?" he cried as he heard laughter behind him. The four who were listening to the story turned to see Brandon walk up behind them crossing his arms.

"Telling them the story girls?" he asked as they both only nodded as he rolled his eyes. "Well, I guess you should, I mean, it doesn't seem right if they are left in the dark on how I got this." Lifting his shirt, he showed the entire scar he got from the Seviper, a long white pale line that looked jagged going from the hollow part of his top part of his chest, to the bottom of his main ribcage. Charmander and Totodile eyes grew wide, as well as Flygon and Blaze who turned to each other for a moment until back to him. "Truthfully too," he answered slipping the shirt back down. "Still hurts like a bitch too!" he chuckled softly before sitting down by the orange and blue Pokémon, sitting crossed ankle with his arms hugging his knees. "Well, keep going, I want to see how you remember it." He smiled as Zangoose who nodded going back to the story.

Suicune, the Aurora Pokémon. Said to be the incarnation of northern winds, it can instantly purify filthy, murky water. It races across the land. It is said that north winds will somehow blow whenever it appears. It embodies the compassion of a pure spring of water. It runs across the land with gracefulness, made its way slowly toward the three, its main body a light blue, to many a light, light green; diamond like patterns over its sides and legs, long purple flowing mane with what looked to be a large green horn going from the forehead up. Where a tail would be, two white long strings flowed on each side of the beast's head, as it slowly padded its way toward the three, looking down at the human before it, then to the Pokémon.

"I saw the whole thing," it spoke in the same female voice that spoke just moments before. "How your human fought for you, to make sure you were safe."

"Why didn't you help him then!" screamed Zangoose in her rage as Suicune shook her head.

"It was not my duty to step in," she answered. "I go where it is needed, I do not interfere until it is much needed, and he, is very needed at the moment." The two friends looked to each other for a moment as Ekans spoke.

"Can...you save him?" she asked looking up with hope in her eyes as Suicune placed a paw over Brandon's wound, a sharp gasp was heard from the human as she closed her eyes.

"Open your eyes human name Brandon," she spoke, her eyes still close. "You must be awake for this, for I can not save you." Slowly but surly, his eyes opened, blood shot from the wound as his eyes widened to the sight he was beholding. "Your Aura like the Pokémon you killed is indeed strong, this is the reason you are still among the living. Though I wish to save your life, I can not give, unless something is given. Do you understand what I am saying?" Brandon slowly nodded his head, opening his mouth to speak but spit up blood. "A war is coming soon youngling, a war that will decide the fate of the world, a war between the very Legendarily Pokémon themselves. Right now we allow the humans to capture Pokémon to battle or live among your kind, but some, have not fully grasp the bound of human and Pokémon. I ask you, Brandon, will you be my champion, shall the need rise while you live, to fight among side me, to keep the world as it is?" Brandon looked over to Zangoose and Ekans, the look of dread on their faces as he once more looked back at the legend dog of water. Nodding his head he agreed.

"Yes..." he gasped. "I will help...in anyway I can...to keep the peace...and to show the others...that...h...human and Pokémon can live together and still will..." at once, the oath and promised made, a light came over Brandon, and then all was still in the world.

"And that's all we remember," Zangoose answered looking toward Arbok who nodded. "After that light, we found ourselves back at camp, Brandon's wound healed over, and that was the last time we saw Suicune."

"Do you think there will really be a war between the legendarily Pokémon?" asked Blaze as Brandon only shrugged his shoulders while standing up.

"Who knows," he answered truthfully. "But, I will still keep my word, if the need arises, I will fight to show them what a bound of human and Pokémon have!" he looked up, as well as everyone else to show the moon high in the sky, the light glow pouring down on them as he sighed. "Well, it's time for bed." He told them smiling until he turned to the forest before him, you guys go, I'll catch up." With saying their goodbyes, Brandon waited until the lights were out before going to the fence, closing his eyes, he shook his head as he heard the sound of footsteps behind him. "Five years," he spoke. "And you now come back?"

"Yes," a voice he had not heard in a very long time, turning around, he came face to face with the water dog Pokémon as she was up to his face now, her nose inches away from him. "The war I spoke of is almost on us, and now you must be ready." He nodded his head sharply looking up at his house.

"Does that mean you're here to stay until we leave?" she smiled and nodded her head as he held out a hand, her paw going in his palm as he shook. "Welcome then Lady of the Lake," he answered bowing his head.

"Thank you...Warrior of the Seas."
