Nightmare Company episode one

Pilot pt. 1

Date: March 10, 2025 Location: Ukraine-Russian border.

"I will ask you only one more time!" the Russian soldier roared in Ukrainian as he punched the bound up prisoner, a young Ukrainian husky named Sasha, in the face. The Russian soldier was also a husky and an aggressive one too. "Where are the other rebels?!"

The teenage husky refused to talk. He would never give away his fellow freedom fighters position away. The Russian husky started to laugh and preceded to pull out his pistol. It was a Makarov PM 9mm. Even though it was an old design, it still got the job done. He pressed the tip of the barrel up against the husky's head.

"You've got until the count of three to tell me where the rebels are!" he said with great intimidation.

"ONE!" he said as he pulled back the hammer to the PM. Sasha closed his eyes and looked away. His life flashed before his eyes. He saw his mother, father, and older brother. All of them died when the Russian army bombed his village.

"TWO!"

He remembered his comrades. The ones he fought along with. Sasha took a deep breath and prepared to met his fate.

"THREE!"

A loud gunshot shattered through the air and Sasha flinched as he heard the noise. Sasha heard the sound of a body slumping to the floor. He opened his eyes. His Russian captor was lying on the ground in a pool of his own blood. He looked up at the doorway to the cabin he was being held in. He saw a wolf wearing US Army equipment holding a TDI Vector submachine gun with a suppressor screwed onto the barrel. He was also wearing FFW (Future Force Warrior) armor.

"You okay?" he asked in Ukrainian. Sasha nodded his head as the American soldier untied him from the chair. A female husky and a male husky also entered the room wearing the same armor came in. The female however had a French accent while the male had a German one. Sasha immediately recognized who they were.

"You're with Rainbow Six aren't you?" he spoke in plain English. The American wolf nodded his head.

"Yes, Sergeant Nelson of Team Rainbow." he said "NATO sent us."

Sasha nodded his head. They rushed outside and sure enough, a V-22 Osprey was waiting for them. They entered the Osprey and flew off to base.

"So," he said to the teenage husky "What makes you so valuable to Washington?"

Sasha nodded his head. Although he was only nineteen, he was the head of a Ukrainian guerilla fighting group. He had very important information about the Russian military movement on the Ukraine border. Although Russia and the United States became allies at the end of the Cold War, the relations were strained when in 2013, the Russian Ultranationalist Party ousted both Putin and Dmitry Medvedev in a military coup d'état led by General Kozlov. Putin was executed by the Russian Ultranationalists while Medvedev was forced into exile in Poland. Although it wasn't a communist party, the Ultranationalist Party practiced fascism and suppression of basic rights. In 2018, facing a failing economy, Russia formed an alliance with China and launched a massive invasion of Eastern Europe. The Chinese also began invading many countries in Southeast Asia and the Middle East. However, the United States and NATO along with the help of Israel and the recently formed Korean Federation (in 2016, Korea was unified under South Korean rule) successfully countered the invasion. The Chinese were defeated and their communist party was removed from power, and Russia retreated. After Russia lost in World War Three, the United Nations signed a treaty in Oslo, Norway. The Oslo Treaty allowed Russia to have an army, but it was forbidden from invading and occupying other nations. It also said that Russia had to grant sovereignty to Chechnya. Little did the UN know that Russia had broken this treaty more than several times. NATO had sent enquiries, but the UN simply ignored them. They were too afraid that doing something would trigger World War Four. Same excuse as always.

"Let's say I know something you don't know," Sasha said slyly. Nelson nodded his head.

They were barely in the air for less than a minute when the Oprey's missile alert system came on.

"What the hell!" Nelson shouted as he rushed to the pilots door. His two companions fell off their seats. One of them cussed in German. Nelson got up and checked to see what was going on. Sasha heard a loud explosion. The missile has struck the V-22's right rotor.

"HANG ON BACKI THERE!" the pilot shouted.

Nelson was pissed.

"WHAT THE HELL'S GOING ON!" he shouted. The Osprey continued to fly out of control as the pilot struggled to make an emergency landing.

Sasha was knocked of his seat. The Osprey flew out of control and crashed into the nearby Ukraini forest.

Twelve Hours later Location: Ft. Beckwith Army Base. Alaska, USA

Headquarters of the 15th Special Operations Battalion

Nickname: Nightmare Company

"I fucking hate Alaska!" Eric Tiller cussed as he entered the barracks. He was a desert wolf and not used to the cold Alaskan air. Also he was wearing regular army attire which provided little protection from the cold. Before joining Nightmare Company, he was in the US Navy SEALs and he still missed the days. He was his company's demolition expert and he was a damn good one at that.

"How do you think I bloody feel!" David "Sev" Zaitsev , a red fox, said in his British accent. David was a former SAS operative who then turned mercenary prior to joining. The US Army High Command had to bust him out of a German prison (he preferred not to talk about it). The barracks was pretty small. It was your typical army barracks. There were small rows of bunk beds which belonged to each of the soldiers. On the walls were calendars, post it notes, and few posters of mostly naked women. Sleeping bags and other personal belongings were set aside next to the beds. On one of the beds, a beautiful young vixen named Aaron Basilone was relaxing. She was twenty-seven years old and a veteran of World War Three. She was actually wearing nothing but a sports bra and camo pants. She was reading the novel The Last Stand of Fox Company, a novel about a US Marine battalion in the Korean War. She was a marine brat herself. She even had a tattoo of Semper Fi on her lower back. Raised by her uncle after her parents died in a car accident. Her uncle, a US Marine himself and a veteran of Operation Iraqi Freedom, rather than teach her to be "pampered and pretty", instead taught her how to hold her own. Because of this, she was a strong independent girl. When the United States Department of Defense outlawed the rule that women couldn't serve in direct combat roles the first thing she did right out of high school was sign up for the Marine Corps. After completing her basic training, she passed Marine Force Recon training and served with the 1st Reconnaissance Battalion of the United States Marine Force Recon.

On the corner at the edge of the barracks was a small table where Carey Winters, a timber wolf who was in the United States Air Force Para-rescue before joining Nightmare Company, was eating a bowl of packaged ramen noodles while two other combatants (in Nightmare Company, you were addressed as combatant) were playing with a deck of cards. A Canadian jackal named Tobias Rachinski, was watching TV. He didn't look like much, but Tobias was a former Canadian Army Pathfinder. He had a large scar over his right eye. Sev once asked where he got and he replied that he received it during World War Three as "a gift from a Chinese officer". The funny thing is that even though Nightmare Company was a joint unit composed of American, Canadian, and British troops, almost all of the troops in it were American (not to mention that it primarily fought for the US government).

"Hey Rachinski!" Eric shouted. Rachinski turned his head around and shrugged.

Eric walked toward him and took a look at the TV. An old German Sheppard reporter for FOX news was delivering the news about how just two days ago, the Korean Federation had a small skirmish with the Second Japanese Empire. Something about a Japanese Navy vessel attacking a Korean Air Force fighter squadron.

"The Korean Air Force damaged Imperial Japan's warship the Yoshimoto after the vessel trespassed into Korean controlled waters and attempted to disrupt the Korean Federation's blue ocean navy project," he said over the TV. "The Korean Federation president, Lee Jeong Park, has announced his outrage at the Japanese for deliberately trespassing on Korean territory. The Japanese Emperor has failed to comply and our government is personally condemning the Imperial Japanese for the unprovoked aggression. Back to you Jennifer."

With that, Rachinski turned off the TV and set the remote down. There was too much bad news on already.

"This is a crazy world with live in," he said to Eric.

Relations between the United States and Japan had recently hit an all time low. Despite the fact that Japan was on the winning side during World War Three, it ended up losing the most. After the Chinese launched a tactical nuke on Osaka and crippling one of Japan's major source of industry, its economy plummeted. Even after the People's Republic of China was dissolved and the new Confederation of China signed a peace treaty, Japan still suffered. Facing a faltering economy and unable to pay for damages that the Chinese army did, a Japanese radical group seized control of the Japanese government and formed a second Japanese Empire. The problem was that Japan was in no condition to form another empire so the Japanese Empire practiced open imperialism and would invade any small poor Southeast Asian country if it meant making a quick buck. This often resulted in a confrontation with the Korean Federation. It also didn't help Japan that the United States supported Korea and broke off ties with the Japanese after it formed its second empire. The Second Japanese Empire was the new North Korea. What was worse, Imperial Japan was forming strong ties with Ultranationalist Russia.

Eric quickly remembered what he wanted to ask.

"Has anyone seen Jason?" he asked. He was referring to Jason Stryker, their squad leader.

David shrugged his shoulders while Tobias shook his head. Aaron put down her book and looked at Eric.

"He said he had to see the CO about something." she said. "Something about our next operation."

"Finally!" Eric said with enthusiasm. They hadn't been deployed in over a month. In fact, the only reason they were back at Fort Beckwith was because they were there for "tune up" training.

"I personally hope that the next place will somewhere where the weather isn't twenty below and snowing twenty four seven." he said. If there was one thing Eric was famous for, it was complaining.

David shook his head in embarrassment while Aaron rolled her eyes and gave her famous "I can't believe I work with these fuckheads" look.

"Quit your bitchin'!" Aaron shouted with great frustration.

"Oh shove it up your tail hole Aaron!" he shouted back. Aaron replied by giving Eric her middle finger. The loud intercom was the only thing that prevented a fist fight between Aaron and Eric.

"Alpha Unit combatants you are to report to the briefing room!"

All the furs got up and grabbed their gear and existed the barracks. Aaron had to quickly put on her army jacket and their boots. They left the barracks into the frigid Alaskan air. Alaska was freezing during this time of the year. Outside, another fur, a timber wolf, named Jerry Bishop was waiting for them. He had left earlier for a smoke and had just put his cigarette on the ground and stamped it with his boot.

"Jerry, we... " Aaron began but Jerry interjected.

"I heard!" he said with his usual friendly grin. He was also shaking his tail with excitement.

Bishop had the most interesting history of any combatant in Nightmare Company. He had originally signed up for the Marine Corps and was deployed at Camp Lejeune. However, he was kicked out for stealing a Stryker APC and crashing into his Gunnery Sergeant's car. Although he didn't hurt anyone, his superiors were pissed off as hell and they booted him out. However, one of the officers pulled a few strings and managed to convince the other officers at the marines to give Bishop a second chance. Instead of being discharged, Bishop was transferred to the United States Army where he served in the 222nd Army Battalion, also known as Bad Company. It was a small company composed of some of the worst misfits the United States military had to offer. The only thing that they ever served as was cannon fodder. During World War Three, he was deployed to Greece where he and Bad Company successfully defended Greece from not only the PLA but also the Russian army. His team successfully stopped a Russian advance on a key NATO defense base by blowing up the Rio-Antirrio bridge! No civilian casualties were taken though (Bad Company wasn't that reckless) and Russia, just like their Chinese allies, were forced to retreat.

"And that's how I got deployed with Nightmare Company and why I'm by law prohibited from entering Greece!" he would brag.

He was the comedian of the group. and always knew how to lighten the mood. They marched through the cold air as they watched Charlie Unit do drill marches as part of their tune up training. Fort Beckwith was pretty large, about twice as big as Fort Bragg. The briefing room was in the officers building which was where the head battalion commander lived. They entered the building and were greeting by its usually scenery. On the floor was the symbol of Nightmare Company and a large American Flag was hanging on the ceiling. The walls were lined with pictures of Fort Beckwith's former head commander. On the right corner of the wall was a picture of a grey fox in his mid forties dressed up in an officer uniform. His name was Lieutenant-Colonel Darren Johnson. He was the current head commander of Fort Beckwith and the high commander of Nightmare company. They passed through the halls until they came across the briefing room. The briefing room, in the best way to describe it, was a very small room with a few seats and a touch table. To their right was a small American flag. The rest of the room was lined with rows of chairs and desks. Colonel Johnson and a few other officers were waiting for them.

"Gather round." he said as he signaled the team to gather around the touch table. The touch table showed a map of Eastern Europe. Colonel Johnson pointed his finger at the Ukraine-Russian border.

"About twelve hours ago, a Rainbow Six team chopper was shot down over the Ukraine-Russian border." he said with a stern voice "And the Pentagon wants us to check it out."

He then glanced up at the team.

"Also," he continued. "JSOC has confirmed that the Russians have deployed a small number of troops in the area. That's what concerns us."

The team understood the situation. Even though Russia had lost during World War Three, it still had a large army and a great deal of weapons. Even though their nuclear weapons arsenal had been rendered useless by the United Nation's Missile Defense Network, the Russian government had access to thermobaric missiles and tactical nuclear warheads. Although the United States could easily counter these weapons with swift defense missile strikes, an exchange like that could trigger another international war, something that the UN was constantly bickering the rest of the world not to do. To prevent this from happening, NATO would deploy special forces teams to spy on the Russian movements and prevent a situation which could escalate into yet another World War. NATO particularly sent Team Rainbow to do the dirty work.

"Our orders are to investigate the area, find the missing Rainbow operatives and get the hell out!" he finished. The rest of the team nodded their heads "We've also been authorized to use lethal force against the Ruskies if we have too. Captain Stryker will fill you in on the rest of the details on the way."

"By the way," Eric announced "Where's Jason?"

Johnson nodded his head in acknowledgement.

"He's in the armory getting everything ready." he answered "He's been briefed of the mission."

Jason was in the armory getting his gear in prep. For an arctic wolf of twenty-eight, he had quite a military career. Graduated top of his class at Army ROTC, he had been in the US Army's 75th Ranger Regiment for most of his military life. During World War Three, he was deployed with the 1st Battalion and was sent to Eastern Europe where he fought the Russian army. During the Battle of Viciebsk, he led a group of US Army Rangers and successfully stopped the Russians from taking the city which prevented Russia from taking Belarus. After this battle, he was approached by the US military to be recruited as a squad leader in what they called a "special forces expeditionary unit". That was how he had entered Nightmare Company. His locker was very packed full of clothes and ammo. A Sig Saur P226 combat pistol (the standard issue pistol of Nightmare Company) was nestled comfortably on top of a pair of pants and a shirt. Behind his locker door, was a picture of him with a lovely young arctic vixen and a newborn fox/wolf hybrid infant wrapped up in a tiny blanket. The vixen's name was Natasha Matthews and she was Jason's girlfriend. The infant wrapped in her arms was their daughter.

"Captain." Jason heard Aaron say from behind him. She was dressed in their standard issue combat gear.

Jason grabbed his FN SCAR assault rifle (the new standard issue rifle of the US military) and his P226 pistol. He couldn't hide it from Aaron though, she had seen what he was doing.

"You miss your family don't you." she said in a very sincere way, not very typical of her.

"It's difficult." he answered as he put his combat helmet on. The most difficult part for Jason wasn't because his girlfriend didn't know, it was the fact that she did know. The reason was because she worked for the CIA as an intelligence analyst for their counter terrorism division. Jason met her while he was stationed at Fort Benning. He promised to marry her after his tour of duty was completed, but after he joined Nightmare Company, they had no choice but to call it off. They still hoped to make their relationship official.

"Come on," Jason he said as he walked up and tapped Aaron on her shoulder. "We've got a job to do."

He and Aaron left the hanger and headed to the airfield. The airfield was lined with UH-60 Blackhawks and V-22 Osprey. A large C-18A Skylord transport plane was fueled and ready. The rest of his team was already geared up and ready to go as they got into the aircraft. Because the mission was a rescue mission, only seven combatants would take part. Because Nightmare Company did a lot of special operations work, they had to remain secret so they were all assigned codenames. When on mission, the combatants were under strict orders to address each other by them. Jason's seven fur team had these codenames: Jason's codename was Werewolf, David's codename was Tumble Weed, Aaron's codename was Angel, Tobias's codename was Scarface, Eric's codename was Undertaker, while Jerry's codename was Specter. Also tagging along was a purple female skunk named Adrienne Fournier Rai. Everyone nicknamed her "Fifi" due to her undeniable similarity to the Tiny Toons character. However, she was tougher than she looked. Her mother served in the French Foreign Legion (she disguised herself as a male to do so) while her father was a Nepalese Gurkha who fought for the British army's legendary Royal Gurkha Rifles. She was raised in England with her father and later became a Gurkha herself and she always carried her father's kukri knife wherever she went. Her codename was Kukri (coincidently). They were all carrying FN SCAR assault rifles with ACOG assault scopes, SIg Sauer P226 pistols, Gerber combat knives, survival equipment, M67 frag grenades, C4 explosives, and communications equipment. David had also brought aboard his Remington M2010 sniper rifle. Jason was the team commander and he would be leading the team. They all got into the C-18's cargo hold and got strapped in. It was going to be a several hour trip. He grabbed his laptop and began looking at the mission coordinates. Eventually, all of their equipment was stored and the cargo door was closed.

"A-unit be prepared," the pilot said over the intercom "We are about to take off"

The Skylord's engines roared as the turbines started spinning as the aircraft started to roll down the runway. The cargo hold rocked heavily as the plane began to take off.

"Damn!" Bishop exclaimed. "No matter how many time I fly I still never get used to the take off."

The C18A then lifted off the ground and took off into the air and they were off to work. The team relaxed while they could on the plane because soon, they would be behind enemy lines.

Several Hours Later Location: Russian-Ukraine border

Jason looked around the hold to check his team. Aaron and Eric were sitting down doing nothing. Jerry was sleeping (he was known to do that) and Adrienne was checking her kukri. David and Tobias were engaging in a conversation.

"First we have to knock off those cartels in Burma and now good ol' Uncle Sam's sending us to save Rainbow Six's ass?" David questioned.

Tobias shrugged his head.

"I don't know," he answered. "I'm Canadian so I have no idea why the US is interested in that Rainbow team."

David began laughing and shaking his red fox tail in amusement.

"Something tells me that, that Rainbow Six team is not the reason we're being deployed." he responded. He turned to Jason.

"Hey Werewolf," he called Jason by his codename. They were officially on mission and had to call each other by them. "why'd you think your government wants us in the area for?"

Jason was not the one to question orders from high command. That wasn't the job of a special forces team. But his team did have the right to be fully informed of the situation.

"The Rainbow Team was sent in to pick up a Ukrainian guerilla fighter." he announced to the rest of the team. The C-18A was approaching the drop zone.

"We are also under orders to find the V-22 Osprey and if possible, blow it up," he addressed. "We cannot allow the Russian's to get a hold of technology that they shouldn't be getting a hold of. We are then to find the Rainbow members and the guerilla fighter. "

He got up and grabbed his equipment. He ordered the rest of his team to do the same thing.

"Alpha unit we are approaching the drop zone in less than a minute." the pilot said over the intercom.

With that signal, Alpha unit grabbed all their equipment and strapped it tight to them. Jason then handed each combatant an oxygen mask. Because they had to fly at a very high altitude, they would be entering the drop zone by means of a HALO jump. Jason strapped the oxygen to his muzzle and made sure it was secured on tightly and then strapped on a parachute. He went around and checked to make sure everyone had their masks and chutes strapped on securely. He then walked to the edge of the cargo hold and pressed the button to open the door. Immediately the wind rushed in and the combatants had to hang on to avoid falling out of the aircraft.

"Okay team!" he shouted through the muffled noise the mask made. "Let's go to work."

Jason then carefully approached the edge of the hold and jumped out of the C18. The rest of his team then preceded to follow his lead. Because they were so high in the air and Ukraine wasn't known for its warm weather, the wind chill was frigid and Jason could feel the cold even through his uniform which was designed to protect him from the cold. The ground got closer and closer as he flew through the sky at an incredibly high velocity. After about a minute of freefalling, he deployed his chute. The rest of his team did the same and deployed their chutes. Jason still had to keep his parachute under control though. It was very windy and he could easily accidently hit a tree or land in a frozen lake. He landed in a forest, luckily he didn't get tangled up in any trees. He took off his parachute and his oxygen mask. Even though it was March, the Ukraine weather was still very cold. David landed nearby shortly after.

"Where're the others?" Jason asked as David removed his oxygen mask and got rid of his parachute. David then shook his head, almost shamefully.

"They got blown of course." he responded. Jason didn't mind though. When you deploy a unit this small in a very windy area, that's bound to happen.

"It doesn't matter," Jason said as he activated his communicator on his helmet.

"All combatants respond," he said into his communicator. Almost immediately he got responses.

"Scarface here," he heard Tobias say. "Bound and on the move."

"This is Angel," he heard Aaron answer. "I've successfully made it."

"Kukri reporting," Jason recognized the skunk's British accent.

"Undertaker here," Eric responded. "I've landed."

There was one fur still missing.

"Specter respond!" Jason ordered.

"I'm a little tied up at the moment!" he heard Jerry respond. There was the sound of rustling tree branches.

"Stuck in a tree?" Jason immediately responded as he shook his head in embarrassment.

"Yeah." Bishop signed. Jason then heard the sound of someone falling and hitting the ground.

"Now I'm not." he sighed.

Jason then picked up his rifle and signaled to David.

"Tumble Weed," he signaled. "Follow my lead."

David nodded and Jason went back to his communicator.

"Also, from now on we address each other by our codename," he reminded everyone. "Head towards the last known coordinates of that Osprey and we'll go from there. Also, if you see any Russian army patrols, avoid contact if possible, but if you must engage the enemy, use suppressed weapons. Make sure your weapons have their suppressors attached."

He then signaled David to follow his lead.

"Come on Tumble Weed," he said. "Let's go!"

David grabbed his sniper rifle and the rest of his equipment. He always carried a H&K MP7 submachine gun with him (it was the gun he used when he was in the SAS). A suppressor was screwed onto the barrel.

"Following your orders Werewolf." he nodded. David always acted seriously when he was on a mission.

The two combatants began trekking their way through the Ukraine forest trying to reunite with the rest of the team and locating the Osprey. According to the last known transmission, the Osprey crashed in an a wooded area near a highway close to the Russian- Ukraine border. The only problem was that the area was full of Russian Army patrols. They had to be very careful. After trekking for about a short distance they came across a meadow. It was quiet with little to no trees and was covered by a thin layer of snow. Two wild animal roe deer were eating grass. Jason took out his binoculars and began to scan the area. At first he saw nothing, but then he spotted something through the binoculars. A fur soldier, dressed up in military winter attire. He was a husky, about over 6 feet tall and looked about in his mid twenties. On top of his head, nudged between his canine ears, was a helmet with Russian symbols on it. An AN-94 assault rifle was in his paws. Jason recognized this type of soldier immediately, a Russian Military Policeman. David took out his rifle and began to aim carefully. Jason immediately signaled David to hold his fire. Behind the Russian was a T-100 "Ogre" tank, was of the most scariest looking tanks in the entire world. It had a large 125mm smoothbore gun on a large coaxial turret. In front of each of the tracks was an armored plated shield with three spike sticking out which were put there by the Russian army to allow it to smash through barricades and trees. It also had two large NSV heavy machine guns sticking to the side of the turret which were used for anti-aircraft fire against attack helicopters and other low flying aircraft A 12.7mm Kord machine gun and a PKM light machine were mounted on the top of the turret. However, Jason knew from firsthand experience that this tanks looks were much more scarier than its bite. Although the T-100 was a dangerous tank to encounter, the armor one it was very lousy compared to the armor used on US Army tanks. A direct shot to the turret with a Javelin missile launcher was all you needed to do to take it out. The only problem was that they didn't bring any missile launchers with them. Nightmare Company could get their paws on any weapon system the United States military had to offer and they did have access to FGM-148 Javelin missile launchers but because this was a search and rescue mission, they left their anti-tank equipment back on the C-18!

"Hold your fire." Jason ordered in a very quiet tone.

Even though David was an excellent sniper, he would never be able to get them all. Their mission was locate and rescue, not to engage. Besides, the tank's machine guns would tear them to shreds.

"Let's try to go around." he ordered. It was better that way.

David shouldered his sniper rifle and grabbed his SMG. He and Jason then headed back into the forest.

Meanwhile, Tobias was heading his way through a small wooded area; his assault rifle in paws ready to use. He was trekking on his own, watching out for Russian patrols.

"Scarface!" his jackal ears picked up. He wasted no time in aiming his rifle in the direction of the voice. It was Eric Tiller who had called him.

"Whoa Scarface careful!" he practically shouted as he put his paws in the air. "It's ME!"

Tobias shouldered his rifle and smile to himself. He walked up and tapped Eric on his shoulder.

"I knew it was you." he said back very slyly. "If I didn't know it was you I would've shot you right there."

"Well next time..."

Tobias immediately signaled him to be silent. "Do you hear that?"

"Hear what?" Eric demanded. Tobias, being a jackal, had a superb sense of hearing. Hell his hearing was better than most wolves.

"It's coming from not too far from hear." he said. After taking a careful listen, Eric heard it too. The sound of nearby footsteps stepping on the small leaves on the ground. They also heard the sound of someone talking in Russian. Tobias grabbed Eric and they quickly hid in a nearby brush. Sure enough, three Russian soldiers came marching into the wooded area. AN-94 rifles in their paws. Two of them wolves, the other was a bear. Tobias and Eric kept low to avoid being detected. They were having a conversation in Russian. Although Eric couldn't understand them, Tobias, having a Russian father, could understand what they were saying.

" YA ne ponimayu , o chem my zdes?," The bear spoke in Russian. ("I don't get it, what are we here for?")

The larger grey wolf was the one to answer.

" Kak , chert voz?mi, ya znayu. Oni nikogda ne govoryat nam nichego!" he answered. ("How the hell would I know. They never tell us anything.")

The bear shrugged his shoulders and readjusted his helmet.

" Kak naschet togo parnya spetsnaza oni poslali s nami?" he asked. ("What about that Spetsnaz guy they sent with us?")

The wolf gave low growl as he face palmed his muzzle. It was obvious he was getting annoyed.

" Viktor, skol?ko raz ya dolzhen skazat? vam, ya ne znayu!" he growled back. ("Viktor how many times do I have to tell you, I don't know!")

The bear backed away and lifted his paw in apology.

" Izvinite." he responded. ("Sorry.")

This made Tobias very concerned. If the Spetsnaz were here, this meant that this wasn't going to make things easy. Another thing that was odd was the fact that these Russian soldiers had no idea why they were there. Could it be for the Rainbow operatives? Tobias then noticed that the Russian's radio had went on. The Russian quickly grabbed a hold of it and answered.

"Da?" he asked into the radio ("Yeah?")

Tobias observed the Russian wolf nodding his head and occasionally talking back into the radio. Judging by the Russian's facial expressions, it sounded like it something important. The Russian then signaled the rest of his team to follow him. They took off into the woods while Eric and Tobias stayed behind the brush they were hiding behind. Eric carefully got up.

"Where'd you think their heading." he said and he grabbed his FN SCAR. Tobias turned on his communicator.

"Scarface to Werewolf," he said into the communicator.

It gave off a little static and then Jason's voice came on.

"What is it," he asked on the other line.

"Me and Undertaker encountered a few Russian soldiers in the area." he said.

On the other line, Jason was talking to Tobias while Sev covered his back and watched out for Russians.

"We've also encountered a few Russians ourselves." Jason answered back as a cold Ukraine wind continued to blow. "We also spotted armor."

The comment made Tobias jump a little. He had good reason to be a little scared. They didn't have any anti-armor equipment so that was a big problem.

"Continue to head to the Osprey." Jason ordered. With that the communicator turned off.

Eric was scouting around the area to make sure the Russians were out of sight. As he returned to Tobias, Tobias spotted something.

"Undertaker!" he whispered loudly. Eric stopped in his tracks. Was is the Russians? "What is it?" he asked in a panicked state.

Tobias signaled with his finger to turn around. Eric didn't get it. "What?" he asked confused.

Tobias took out his Gerber LHR knife and again ordered him to turn around.

"Rachinski! What are you doing?" Eric asked. He was so scared that he forgot that he was under orders to address everyone by their codenames.

"Turn around!" he ordered. His Gerber knife clutched in his paw ready to strike. "Trust me!"

Although Eric was unsure, he carefully turned around. With that, Tobias took his knife and gently jabbed it on Eric's shoulder careful not to stab him. But the sensation of the knife freaked him out and he jumped up and grabbed his M18. He pointed it at close range in Tobias's face.

"You Mother fucking son of a bitch!" he practically shouted. "What the fuck where you..."

He immediately calmed down once he realized what Tobias had done. Impaled on the tip of the Gerber knife was a tiny little scorpion, its claws and tail failing around trying to free itself from the knife. It must of crawled on Eric while they were hiding from the Russians.

"Thanks," he said while he caught his breath. Tobias nodded his head.

"Anytime." he slyly replied and he placed the scorpion on the ground and crushed it with his boot. Suddenly he heard and loud pop and he saw Eric fall to the ground.

"Undertaker!" he exclaimed as he rushed to his friends help. He carefully examined his friends body for an injury. Eric was alive and his breathing was normal. But there was a small red tranquilizer dart was in his neck.

"Oh my God..." Suddenly he felt something strike his neck. He clutched the dart but it had already stuck him and injected him with a tranquilizer. He struggled to remain conscious but he slumped over and was knocked out.

Jerry and Adrienne had been running through the brush of the woods. They had been walking for nearly an hour and the nighttime was approaching and the weather was very cold.

"Fif," Jerry called. "I think we're lost."

Adrienne shook her head. She knew the exact coordinates of the downed aircraft. It shouldn't be too far.

"It's gotta be around here," she said in frustration. As they trekked through, they came to a small cliff.

"Hey!" Jerry practically shouted. "There it is!"

Sure enough, there was a crash V-22 Osprey nestled on two broken trees. It was in very bad shape. Its right rotor had been shot off by a SAM, the front windshield was broken and riddled with bullet holes, and the left rotor blade where broken. Adrienne and Jerry carefully crawled down the cliff. Jerry nearly tripped and fell off.

"I think I fell for you Fifi," he laughed as he staggered to his feet. The female skunk simply ignored him and she continued to head to the Osprey.

They approached the Osprey's cargo door, it appeared to already be blasted open. There were no signs of the Rainbow Six operatives.

"Where the hell are they?" Jerry wondered. That was when he noticed the bullet holes riddled across the Osprey' metal body. He also found a few bullet casings outside of the Osprey. Judging by their size Jerry could tell that they were 5.45x39mm, the standard issue round of the Russian army. They headed to the cockpit door, which they had to pry open. The inside of the cockpit was a completely destroyed. Almost all the controls were broken and their wires were exposed. Slumped over in the left chair was the body of the pilot, his pilot's uniform and helmet soaked in his own blood. Adrienne placed her fingers on the pilot's neck, checking for a pulse.

"Nah he's had it." she responded. The pilot was dead. His neck appeared to be broken. But that still didn't explain what happened to the Rainbow Six members.

"Come on let's go," Adrienne order. Both the combatants then got out of the Osprey's cockpit.

"Should we blow this chopper up?" Jerry asked. The problem was that Eric was the one who had the C4 explosives.

"We need to wait for Undertaker." Adrienne explained as they existed the Osprey's cargo door.

"Oh come on since when can we rely on Tiller?" Jerry asked. Adrienne immediately struck a serious look at him.

"Specter!" she exclaimed, "We're supposed to address each other by our codenames!"

Jerry simply gave a small laugh.

"Come on!" he exclaimed playfully. "There's no one else here beside you and me."

"FREEZE!" they suddenly heard someone shout in a very thick Russian accent. Jerry and Adrienne looked around to see who shouted. They soon found themselves staring down the barrels of more than a dozen assault rifles in the hands of several fur soldiers. All the fur soldiers were wearing black and grey commando uniforms, combat helmets, and they were all carrying AN-94 assault rifles. Some of them had C-more sights while others had GP-30 Grenade launchers attached. Little did Adrienne and Jerry know was that these furs were soldiers of the famed Alpha Group of Spetsnaz, the most deadliest special forces the Russian army had to offer. Jerry and Adrienne had no choice but to surrender to the Russians.

Meanwhile, Aaron was scouting around, looking for the others. The vixen had her assault rifle in her paws, ready to use. As she was heading toward the coordinates of the Osprey, she came across an opening. There was a large GAZ-2975 Utility vehicle and several wolf soldiers. She could tell instantly by their uniforms and equipment that they were Russians. She ducked down in the brush and observed them. She then saw them take two bound up prisoners. They appeared to be huskies. One of them begged for mercy in German while the other one started crying in French. Aaron then realized that these were the missing Rainbow Operators. Unfortunately, there was nothing she could do to help them. All she could do was watch as the cruel Russian wolves continued to beat the poor captives with their rifle butts. Finally, one of the Russians pulled out a pistol, and to Aaron's horror, executed both of them with a single shot to their heads. Aaron felt surges of anger in her. She bared her teeth and grabbed her assault rifle. Without thinking she stood up and took aim at the Russians. But before she could fire a single shot, she failed to notice that a Russian soldier, had followed her. He quickly punched her very hard in her face. The vixen hit the ground hard and was knocked unconscious.

"Specter, Scarface!" Jason was commanding into his communicator with frustration. "Somebody, respond!"

He was panicked, he couldn't get a hold of anyone! Sev approached him with a very worried look on his face.

"Any luck?" he asked. He was waving his fox tail with worry.

Jason shook his head. Deep down inside, he knew something was wrong with this rescue operation.

"Jesus Bloody Christ!" Sev exclaimed. "Whut the fuck is going on."

Jason turned off his communicator and lowered his rifle. His ears and tail also lowered in sadness.

"Tumble Weed," he sighed. "I think our mission has been compromised."

David shook his head with disbelief. It couldn't mean what he thought it meant!

"You're saying" he started. Jason nodded his head.

"They've been captured, or worse," he added. Sev bowed his head and lowered his tail. Jason approached him and tapped his shoulder.

"Captain," he asked.

"C'mon," Jason added. "It's up to us to complete the mission. Who knows, they still might be alive."

David nodded his head and grabbed his sniper rifle. Jason then grabbed his FN SCAR and the two combatants proceeded to head to the Osprey. If there were any clues to the whereabouts of their missing combatants, they would start there. But it was very ominous scenario, it was just two US special commandoes up against the Russian Army!
