_ Library Late Night _

It was a quiet night, like most nights had been here lately for Shadow. He was sitting in the local public library, his nose buried in a book. He enjoyed this time to himself here at night. It was nearing closing and he could here people quietly leaving. The book in front of him was compelling and well written, he was sure the a library employee would ask him to leave so they could close so he was trying to finish this chapter.

A soft feminine hum caught his ear and he looked up from his book looking down the shelves to see one of the librarians clearing off a table not to far away. Shadow smiled to her and gave a small nod, turning his attention back to the book in front of him. He didn't notice as she picked up a stack of books and moved over to his table. The librarian set the books and slid onto the table adjusting her glasses and smiling to him.

Shadow looked up from his book as he heard her soft alluring voice, "Good evening." He smiled and replied, "Evening." Once again turning his attention to his book. Again soft words floated to his ears, "Studying?" Something about that voice made it so hard to think about anything else. Shadow blushes, not really used to being asked questions by any woman especially one as beautiful as this one. "N-not, really. Just trying to keep up on a few things," he managed to stammer, burying his nose in the book trying to hide how nervous he was.

"What few things?" Her voice was so soft and sweet as it slowly and gently moved into his mind, slowing down his thoughts like sticky honey. He lifted his gaze from the book again meeting her gaze, those cat green eyes framed by her glasses seemed to glow softly. "Some sociology, I like to make sure I have my facts straight." Shadow could feel his mind begining to slow, it was just so easy to stare into her eyes.

A small grin spread across the librarians lips, "Thought's straight? Now why would you want to think so hard?" Her eyes seemed to glow slightly brighter, "Better not to think at all, don't you agree?" Shadow slumped back slightly in the chair as his body relaxed, "Well, there are times I think, um I like to make sure if I tell someone something, Erm... It's the right thing."

The eyes that had become his entire world seemed to spiral, and he could feel himself falling deeper as the soft voice rang through his mind once more, "The right thing to do is relax, let your mind quiet. This IS a library. Quiet is good, quiet your mind." The dazed tiger slumped in the chair, his body limp as a rag doll. "Well, I have been working kinda hard," he murmured.

The beautiful woman learned forward focussing all her hypnotic power at the ensnared kitty before her, "So hard, it'd be a treat to let you mind sleep, sleepy mind. Quiet your mind and let it sleep." With those words Shadow's eyes fell closed as he took a deep breath and dumbfounded smile curling his lips.

The librarian slid from where she was sitting and slowly moved to stand next to Shadow, running her fingers through his hair, "Good boy, my quiet empty headed blank boy." She smirked as he leaned closer to her, "Doesn't it just feel so good, all those pesky thoughts so quiet. Knowing all you have to do is listen to my voice. My words are your words, my thoughts your thoughts," She purred into his ear.

The entranced tiger shivered as her words planted themselves deep into his subconsious. The sweet words of this enchantress ringing in his ears, every sentence a new truth. "Now then my good empty headed blank boy, I want you to be able to find your way back here. To where your blank and happy, so mine. So I'm going to write this in the blank book of your mind, "Anytime you hear me say the words, "Closing time." You'll fall back down to this place where your so empty and blank, your mind a blank book for me to write in once again. Understand?" Shadow slumped against this hypnotic goddess, whose voice was his entire world. How could he not understand, lips slowly forming the only word in his mind, "Yes."

The librarian smirked and purred softly into his ear once again, "Such a good boy, you've made me so happy. For now we'll let you get back to what you were doing. When I snap my fingers you'll wake up, no memory of this little trance." With that she sat him up and gently carressed his cheek one last time and stood up straight, snapping her fingers.

Shadow started and looked up at the woman standing before him, his cheeks burning under the fur. "Uh, I'm so sorry. I guess I zoned out there for a moment, I'll get out of your way now." He smiled and closed the book he was reading, making sure to stack them neatly before heading for the exit.
