"How many times are you going to try this Joshua?"

The young man looked up at the slim lady standing in his bedroom door. She was a decent looking lady, not too big and not to small.

"I'm going to keep trying for as long as it takes," Joshua replied, slipping on his boots and tying the laces.

"You're going to get hurt. Why don't you just accept the fact that you can't become one of them."

"If my brother can do it, I don't see why I can't."

"Your brother was a better fighter."

Joshua eyed the lady angrily causing her to sigh.

"Look son, all I'm saying is that maybe being a knight just isn't your field. Why not try your hand at smithing? You're good at making stuff."

"I don't want to be a blacksmith. I want to be a knight."

He stood up from the bed and walked towards the door where his mom was blocking it.

"Stubborn to the end, just like your father. Fine, do what you want. Don't come running to me with tons of cuts."

She sidestepped out the way, watching Joshua go to the front door and exit. A thin layer of clouds blocked the rays of the sun from bathing the earth with its glow. Joshua took a deep breath, filling his lungs with the crisp, cool air before heading towards the castle. He gave a smile and a small nod of his head as villagers greeted him.

He was determined to become a knight today. His brother, Peter, was a gifted young man who became the king's personal bodyguard with his superior skills in swordsmanship. Anything his brother could do, he knew he could do. He saw the sign at the lamppost that made him smile and continue his way to the castle. The king was having his annual knight tryout in the courtyard with the lucky winners getting the chance to serve him in the castle.

"This year, I'm going to win. I'll show everybody that I can be just like my brother."

The tall castle loomed in the background, casting it shadow down onto the village below it as Joshua walked up the hill towards the main gates. He wasn't the only one attending as tons of young men and women wanted the opportunity to serve under the king and live in the castle walls.

"You trying again this year?" Joshua heard a voice behind him say.

He looked behind to see a fairly muscled young man not to far behind him walking with a lady.

"You better believe I'm trying again William. I will become a knight today."

"I admire your will to keep trying year after year. But maybe after four years of being beaten, you should try something new?" William said. "How about smithing?"

"You sound just like my mother."

"Maybe your mother is right," the lady said with a calm voice. "Your father is a great blacksmith, and I'm sure he could train you to be an even better one."

Joshua looked at the lady before continuing up the hill.

"Sorry Ruth, I'm going to prove everybody wrong, even my brother, that I can become a knight."

"Then I wish you good luck." William said.

"As do I," Ruth said.

"Thanks. Good luck to you also."

They continued their way to the castle, Joshua admiring the guards that stood at the front gate. He pictured himself in the beautiful white and gold armor with a sword at his side, proud to be a knight. The crowd gathered into the large courtyard where a fairly large ring was station in the middle. The balcony overlooking the ring had a red curtain hanging under it where the king will be watching.

Guards started gathering into the courtyard, being lead by a knight in solid gold armor making him shine when the sun shined upon him. The knight smoothed his white hair back before raising his hands to quiet the crowd.

"Thank you all for coming out to his majesty's annual knight competition. As you know, this competition is set out to find the next knight or knights. Each and every one of you will compete one on one in front of his majesty and display your skill and talents."

The knight eyed the crowd while he spoke, until he saw Joshua, making his eyes show a sign of frustration.

"Everyone will receive a wooden sword and shield so no accidental deaths will occur. The person who gives up, falls out of the ring, or is unable to fight anymore, lose the match. Is everybody in agreement with that?"

When he got nods all around, he gave a smile.

"Good. Before we began, please write your name on on the slip of paper you will receive and the king himself will call your names to spar."

Everybody got their piece of paper and wrote their names on it before handing it back to the guards.

"Thank you all. We will begin shortly," the knight said, turning to leave.

Joshua balled his fists angrily. He saw the look his brother gave him, a look of frustration and anger.

"I'll show him. I'll show everybody that I can be a knight and not a blacksmith."

Trumpets started to sound as the king walked out onto the balcony. Everybody went to one knee, bowing their heads as the king took a seat on the large, comfy chair.

"Thank you all for coming," he said in a deep voice that commanded respect. "I wish the best of luck to you all and may the best man and woman win."

Peter handed the king a helmet with all the names from the crowd as he reached in and drew two names.

"Sir Samuel Issac and sir Matthew Job, please take the stage."

The named people took the ring, each being handed a wooden sword and shield.

"You two will begin this fine tournament."

"Yes your majesty," they both said with a bow.

"Let the tournament begin."

The crowd cheered as they watched men and women give it their all in front of the king. Some displaying unbelievable skill, while others failed horribly. The king and Peter watched on with keen eyes along with Joshua, who Peter was watching in the crowds.

"I take it your brother is here?" the king asked.

"Yes your majesty. I don't know why."

"Maybe he wants to follow in your footsteps?"

"He shouldn't try. He only ends up hurting and embarrassing himself year after year.""

"Can you blame him for trying? I see a strong fighting spirit in him, just like his brother."

Peter's obsidian eyes looked at the king briefly before back out to the crowd.

"He should've just let our father teach him smithing. He's better at making things then fighting."

The crowd cheered as the winner stood over the loser before reaching a hand down and helping him help. The king smiled at the show of sportsmanship before drawing two more names.

"Sir William Judge and sir Timothy Roman, take the ring."

"Wish me luck," William said to Joshua before heading up to the ring.

Joshua gave him a thumbs up as he watched him walk up the small set of stairs to the ring. He watched the guard give the signal as the two squared off. William was impressive in speed, stance, and countering, letting his opponent strike first before going in with precision strikes to the body before bringing the other guy down with his sword at his neck.

"That one is impressive," the king said clapping along with everyone else. "Make sure to save his name."

"Of course your majesty."

The king drew two more names as a smile came to his face.

"Sir Justin Vance and sir Joshua Roth, please take the ring."

Joshua smiled as he went up the small set of stairs and into a corner. His challenger came onto the ring making his heart sink. This guy was large and built. Muscles bulging from the tight shirt he was wearing threatening to shred it if he flexed even one muscle. A guard walked up to Joshua, handing him his equipment before speaking to him.

"Back out now. This guy looks pretty mean."

"I won't. I will prove I belong with the knights, just like my brother."

"Your will is strong. But know your limits," the guard said walking to the middle. "Are you ready?" he pointed to Justin who nodded. "Are you ready?" he asked Joshua.

"Yes."

"Bow to the king and begin."

They both walked to the center of the ring and bowed, Joshua noticing the stare he was getting from his brother. After the bow, they circled each other, sizing one another up.

"A weakling like you has no place in the knights," Justin said with an evil smile, gripping the wooden sword which looked like a twig in his hand.

"I'll prove you wrong," Joshua growled before beginning his assault.

He swung his weapon with wide swings, hoping to catch Justin off guard with his swings but they were deflected easily. He went for another swing but Justin sidestepped, making Joshua go off balance and fall to the floor with a round of laughter from everybody. He got to his feet, red all over before turning around.

"Is that all you have? Then I guess it's my turn to attack. Prepare yourself boy." Justin grinned.

Justin came at him with surprising speed, catching Joshua off guard with a body check stumbling him backwards. He got his bearing before raising his shield on an overhead attack. The sheer force that was behind it made Joshua grunt and go to one knee. Justin went for another one which Joshua rolled under and got to his feet quickly trying to attack for that split second window.

He turned around, only to get met with the wooden shield to his face sending him flying in the air before landing hard on his back with a gasp, his air being taken away and seeing stars. He got his vision back in time to roll from a heavy foot that threatened to cave his head in. Reacting with what speed he had, he lashed out with the sword, striking Justin behind the kneecap sending him to one knee with a surprise yell of pain.

Joshua wasted no time in getting to his feet and raining blows down on Justin who held up his shield, feeling blow after blow land on the protective cover. Just as Joshua was coming down with another strike, Justin brought his sword up, meeting the strike halfway. Even with all power Joshua applied with the strike, Justin still overpowered him, knocking the sword out of his hands. While Joshua was still reeling from the counterstrike, Justin spun in his place and delivered another solid blow with his shield to Joshua's face, lifting him in the air, blood coming his nose and mouth.

"Looks like that's it," the king said, looking at Joshua's prone body on the ring.

To everyone's surprise, Joshua's hand twitched before balling into fists as he tried to pick himself up, only to be met with a vicious blow to his back from the wooden sword.

"Stay down boy. Accept your defeat," Justin said.

"Never," Joshua growled weakly, trying to get to his feet again before being struck down.

Peter watched with a neutral expression as Joshua got struck down three more times before he seen enough.

"Enough!" Peter shouted.

Justin walked to the middle of the ring and bowed his head, giving the equipment to the guard and walking off, leaving a bruised and beaten Joshua.

"Guards, take him to the healer."

"Yes sir."

////////

Joshua woke up with a groan, feeling pain all over like his body has just been through hell.

"Finally up?" a voice said.

His eyes adjusted to see his brother leaning on the wall arms crossed and a scowl on his face.

"You just never learn do you? You CAN'T be a knight Joshua. If I didn't stop that guy, he would've broken your back."

"I don't need your pity," Joshua spat.

"If you weren't my brother, you'd be dead right now."

"So I'm suppose to thank you? I could've taken him."

Peter snorted in disgust before walking over and placing a single finger on Joshua's chest making him yell in pain.

"I barely touched you and your body is racked with pain. How long are you going to keep up this foolishness?"

"Until I prove to everybody that I can be a knight."

Peter sighed before taking a seat next to his brother and looking him straight into his grey eyes.

"Joshua, I'm only trying to help you. Mother is only trying to help you. We both know you don't have what it takes to be a knight. Please stop this foolishness before you hurt yourself so bad you won't be able to do anything. Go live with father in the other village and learn smithing. I can take care of mother."

Before Joshua could reply, a knock was heard as a knight entered with William and Ruth.

"Are these the two you wanted Captain?" the knight asked.

"Yes. William, take Joshua back home for me."

"Sure thing," William said.

William walked over and went to help Joshua help only to get his hand slapped away.

"I can get up myself."

Joshua tried to get to his feet, only to fall to the floor wrecked in pain. Tears came down his eyes as he cried, not from pain, but from his failure yet again. Peter looked away as William helped him onto his back and out the door.

"What now captain?" the guard asked.

"Are the candidates all assembled?"

"Yes sir."

"Good, I'll be up there shortly."

Peter watched the guard leave before sitting down and putting his head in his hands, trying to cover the single tear that went down his cheek.

///////

"Didn't I tell you not to go? Now look at you," Joshua's mom said angrily, arms crossed over her chest.

Joshua laid on the bed, his back towards his ranting mother.

"I'm getting sick of this Joshua. Get it through your head, you will NEVER be a knight."

"Are you done?" Joshua said softly, his voice crackling a little.

His mother sighed before walking over and sitting on the edge of the bed, reaching over to slowly rub his back getting a wince of pain from Joshua.

"Joshua, me and Peter love you very much and don't like to see you do this to yourself year after year."

"You've always liked him better anyway," Joshua snorted, pulling away from her hand. "I saw the look of acceptance you gave him when he made the knights."

"I love both my sons Joshua. Don't try to turn this into who's better."

"And why not? I mean, look at Peter. He can fight and live in a huge castle with everybody taking orders from him. Me, all I can do is be knocked out of the tournament again and again."

"You are good with your hands. Remember that cart you made from the left over wood found in the trash? You were always tinkering with things when you were young, something your brother fails at and you excel in. Some people just have natural talent at things. Your brother is a great knight and you, can be a great blacksmith."

She got up off the bed and headed for the door, taking a glance at Joshua who didn't move an inch.

"I got a message from your father. He'll be here in three days to visit and say hi. I really hope you go with him when he leaves. It'll be good for you."

With that said, she left, closing the door behind her and leaving the room in darkness. Joshua laid there, looking at the wall, a few tears hitting the pillow. Are they right about him? Is he destined to spend the rest of his life tolling away behind a fire to make swords out of iron? A sigh escaped him as he rolled around in the bed, trying to find a comfortable spot and aggravating his injuries in the process. He would have to think more about it tomorrow as his bruised and weary body demanded sleep.

/////////

Joshua let out a pained sigh as he sat up in his bed. His body didn't hurt as bad as it had yesterday, but it was still tender in some parts. He opened the window and took a quick peek outside. The sun was just about to rise as the cool night air filled his lungs.

"Guess I'll go and see the sun rise."

He put on a pair of pants and shirt before heading out to the small stable in the back of house were his mom kept their father's horse. It let out a couple startled neighs before Joshua calmed him down with soothing words and soft pats to its neck. Grabbing a saddle, he hooked the horse up and got on, the horse doing a couple of prances before settling down and trotting down the dirt path behind house.

It was a cool, bitter morning, containing a brief chill that caused Joshua to shiver uncomfortably. The horse trotted slowly down the dirt path, small branches snapping under its hooves as it approached the large lake in a clearing that had appeared before them. Joshua hopped off the horse, landing on the sandy terrain and looking out over the water.

"I'll never get tired of this view" Joshua said to himself with a smile.

His horse took a drink of water with delight before Joshua spotted something unusually large laying on the other side of the lake.

"What on earth is that?"

He lead the horse to a large patch of grass near some trees as it munched happily on the vegetation.

"I want to get a closer look at whatever that thing is over there."

He started his walk around the outer edge of the lake, keeping his eye on the object. Once he got a good distance, his mouth opened in shock and surprise.

"Is this for real?"

Curled up in a ball was a large, golden scaled dragon. The two horns on its head were curved as its wings were tucked neatly onto its back. The dragon's chest rose and fell softly, its eyes closed in a deep and seemingly peaceful sleep with the occasional twitch of its tail. Joshua hid behind some trees, his mind going a mile a minute.

"I never thought I live to see a real dragon. I wonder if I can get a closer look without waking it up."

Very carefully, he crept quietly from his spot behind the tree. He was surprised that his pounding heartbeat didn't wake the sleeping giant as it hammered inside his chest. A couple more steps closer made him shiver in a mixture of excitement and horror. Then, what he feared the most happened as his foot came down on a dead branch, making an audible SNAP which made him jump.

The dragon lifted its head at the sound, its jade eyes locking onto Joshua, petrifying him on the spot. He thought his heart would literally burst out of his chest with how hard it was beating. The dragon narrowed its eyes before giving a snort and getting to its feet. Its wings expanded with a stretch along with its claw that dug into the earth below it. Joshua watched as those large claws ripped into the earth with ease and could probably do the same with him. The dragon grabbed a quick drink of water before looking at Joshua again. It let out a small growl, before taking flight. Joshua covered his face as dust was kicked into the air from the flapping wings. Joshua watched the dragon disappear into the sunrise, still in shock that it didn't eat or maim him.

"A real dragon? I just saw a real dragon. I thought they were no longer among the living," Joshua said, watching the shadow of the dragon disappear into the sun that was now rising and giving off its rays of warmth.

He snapped out of his daydream before hurrying back and mounting his steed, making a beeline for his home. Making sure his horse was comfortable, he hurried into the house where his mom was making breakfast.

"Where have you-"

"I saw a dragon mom! A real live dragon!" Joshua exclaimed happily.

"Joshua, all dragons are extinct or have been driven away. You're letting your imagination get the best of you," his mom said, putting a plate of eggs, bacon, and a cup of tea onto the table. "Go wash up and so you can eat."

"But mom-"

"Go wash Joshua!"

Joshua let out a sigh of frustration, turning around to head to the bathroom upstairs.

"I know I didn't imagine that. I know what I saw, and I saw dragon."

After washing up, he headed back downstairs and sat at the table, thanking mom for the food and ate.

"Your father will be here the day after tomorrow. I hope you will go with him when he goes back. I think it will be good for you."

"Mom...."

"I know, you want to be a knight. But answer me this son, how many years have you tried to become a knight?"

"Five times."

"And have you succeeded?"

"No, I haven't."

"Maybe those loses are signs, telling you that you're only hurting yourself if you keep trying. I commend your effort Joshua, but you just can't be a knight."

Joshua finished his food before placing the dirty dishes in the sink.

"I'm going out. I'll be back before dark," Joshua said, walking to the front door and leaving it.

/////////

After completing his daily chores, Joshua spent the rest of the day at his other favorite spot, the roof of the barn stable. He stared up into the sun setting sky, seeing tiny glimpses of stars appearing in the red-orange background. His mind was on nothing but that dragon he saw at the beginning of the day. He went and told William and Ruth, but like his mother, they just laughed and called it an illusion.

"Nobody ever believes a word I say, even though its the truth."

Joshua's train of thought was broken when he heard his name.

"Hey Joshua, you up there?"

"Yeah Peter, I'm up here."

He heard the sound of armor coming up the ladder as Peter joined him on the roof, both of them looking up into the sky.

"You still love this spot I see."

"It helps me gather my thoughts."

They laid there in silence before Peter spoke up.

"Are you still mad at me?"

"Would it make any difference if I was?"

"I'm only trying to help you brother. You know I would love nothing more then for you to join the knights at my side, but with your skills, you would die in battle and make our parents grieve. Is that what you truly want?"

Joshua was quiet before letting out a sigh, closing his eyes.

"I guess not."

"So will you stop this foolishness?"

"Might as well. It appears that's the only choice I have."

They went quiet again as the night sky became dominant, showing the bright stars in the sky. Joshua sat up and rest his arms on his knees.

"Would you believe what I'm about to tell you Peter?"

"Depends on what it is."

Joshua directed his eyes to his brother briefly before closing them.

"I saw a dragon this morning by the lake."

Peter sat up and looked at him.

"A dragon you say? I thought all dragons were extinct?"

"So did I. But it appears there are still some living today."

"I would love to believe you Joshua, but without proof, your claim is false."

Joshua looked at him in a little bit of surprise.

"So you do believe me then?"

"I believe anybody, as long as they can provide proof."

"I'll do better then that. I'll show it to you. Be here early tomorrow morning, before the sun rises and I'll take you to where I saw it."

Peter smiled before standing up with a stretch.

"Very well Joshua. I'll see you tomorrow."

Joshua smiled at his brother. Sometimes Peter can be understanding, other times he can be a real pain in the ass. He watched Peter get on his horse and ride off towards the castle. A yawn escaped his mouth as he did a stretch himself. Heading back down the ladder, he went into the house and up to his room where he fell fast asleep.

////////

Joshua was up early, the night sky slowly fading away to give room to the blue sky that will soon take over. The sound of a horse caught his attention as he saw his brother approach the house.

"I didn't think you would come," Joshua said.

"I told you I would," Peter chuckled softly. "Now then, lead the way to this dragon."

Joshua nodded before getting on his horse and following the same dirt path. The lake appeared in front of them as they hopped of the horse, looking around for the dragon.

"Well Joshua, where is it?"

"It was right on the other side. I swear it was. Just give it some time. Maybe it'll come back."

They both sat down on the sandy terrain, waiting and watching. The sun rose high into the sky, making the lake sparkle with the sun rays. Peter let out a sigh and stood up, dusting the sand off his armor.

"Joshua-"

"Just give it some more time. I'm sure it will come. You have to believe me," Joshua said, his voice giving off a little panic.

"We've been here for almost two hours and yet no sign of this dragon. I want to believe you Joshua, I really do. But without proof, I can't. I must return to the castle and start training the new knights."

Joshua watched Peter mount his horse and ride away. A grunt of frustration let his mouth as he pounded the dirt with his fists.

"Why can't things go my way just once?"

A sigh of defeat escaped him before hopping on his horse and heading back home. Securing the horse, he walked into his house and sat down at the table, head in his hands. His mom walked in and saw Joshua sitting there.

"Ah, there you are Joshua. We need some more wood for the fire. Can you go and chop some?"

"Sure thing," Joshua said, a little sadness in his voice which his mother picked up on.

"What's wrong son?"

"Sometimes I think the world is playing with me."

"The world is cruel at times Joshua. You just have to learn to cope with it. Now run along and get that wood so we won't freeze tonight."

Joshua nodded, grabbing the ax from the closet. Walking out to the barn, he grabbed the small wagon he made and headed into the forest. The sound of nature was all around him as the birds chirped in the trees and wildlife scampered for cover.

"Why didn't it show? Does it go to the lake only once a month?"

He found a good size tree and sized it up, giving it a couple of pats on the trunk and smiled.

"You should be enough for a month or so."

Gripping the ax, he began to hack away at the tree, the ax taking chunks of bark away with each swing. After a couple of minutes, the tree fell with a loud crash.

"All right," Joshua panted, wiping the sweat off his forehead.

Walking to the down tree, he began to cut it into manageable pieces that could fit into the wagon. Gathering the pieces, he placed them into the wagon before resting against another tree. The sun was setting in the sky as he looked up.

"Maybe being a smith won't be so bad."

After catching his breath, he stood up and walk to the wagon, ready to take the wood home when the smell of death caught his nose.

"Maybe a deer got caught in a trap. Wouldn't mind having some deer meat."

He left the ax by the wagon, following the smell of death to a small clearing where he saw that same gold colored dragon. It was laying down, eyes closed next to the remains of three deer carcasses. The meat was pick clean from the bones as the dragon's tail twitched on the ground, stirring up a little dust.

"There it is again. Why weren't you at the lake so I can prove you were real?"

The adrenaline started pumping through Joshua's body as he crept closer to the dragon.

"Maybe if I can get a scale from it, people will believe me."

As he crept closer, he couldn't help but admire the beauty of this rare and exotic beast. He got within arms reach before the dragon shifted in its sleep. This shift made Joshua panic and stumble backwards letting out a startled gasp which awoke the dragon. The dragon's head whipped up and looked around, before locking its jade eyes on the human yet again.

A loud growl rumbled in its throat before it pinned Joshua to the ground with a claw. Joshua started to hyperventilate, watching the dragon bend down to look him dead in the eyes. It gave an evil growl as the recent smell of the deer washed over Joshua making him want to gag. Joshua's grey eyes looked up at the dragon in fear, knowing it could crush him with ease if it wanted to. Not wanting to see he's own death, he closed his eyes and wanted for the inevitable.

The dragon bent its head down, giving Joshua a couple of sniffs around his body. It gave a snort as it removed the claw holding down Joshua and backed off. Expanding its wings, it took off into the air, leaving a confused and shaken Joshua.

"Why didn't it kill or eat me?"

Getting up from the initial shock, Joshua dusted himself off and headed back to the stocked wagon, his mind confused beyond reasoning. He pulled the wagon back home, still trying to comprehend what just happened. His mother was waiting for him by the door along with another person.

"Hello son," the man said with a smile.

"Dad!? I thought you weren't suppose to be here until tomorrow?" Joshua said, walking over and giving him a tight hug.

"I got lucky. The merchant I rode with knew a couple of short cuts. But I'll explain everything tomorrow, right now let's get this firewood inside the barn."

With the help of his dad, they put the fire wood into the barn before heading inside the house. Joshua's mom already had dinner going as he sat in the living room with his father.

"So, I heard you tried your hand at being a knight again. How did that work out?"

"I failed again, like I do every year," Joshua said, head down.

His father patted him on the back with a smile.

"You know, I could use some extra help in the blacksmith shop. Would you like to learn how to do it? It's up to you if you want to. I won't force you, but it might be good for you."

Joshua sighed before looking up at his dad's blue eyes.

"How long are you going to be here for?"

"A couple days. The merchant I traveled with is going to give me a ride back once he's finished visiting family and business friends of his own."

"Okay. I'll let you know before you leave what my decision will be."

"Fair enough Joshua," his dad said with a nod.

"Time for dinner you two. Joshua, go wash up."

Joshua headed upstairs, washing his hands and face before coming back down and joining his parent at the dinner table. They ate with idle chatter before Joshua finished and excused himself. He let out a yawn before taking off his clothes and getting into something more comfortable. Opening the covers, he crawled into the bed with an exhausting sigh after a long day.

///////

"I would really love for you to come back with me Joshua. It gets kind of lonely in the shop," his dad said to Joshua as they walked in the square.

The village was bustling as usual, villagers going about their business either peddling their wares on the street or farming in the fields.

"I know you do dad. But I really want to be a knight," Joshua sighed.

"You are better with your hands then you are with a sword. Your mom sent me some of the stuff you built when you were a kid. When I saw them, I knew you had the abilities to be a brilliant blacksmith."

They walked through the village, getting friendly nods from the villagers. Reaching the castle walls, the guards stopped them at the gate.

"State your business here?"

"I came to see my son, Peter Roth."

"You must be the gifted blacksmith that the captain talks about. So you are his father?"

"That would be me," the dad said with a smile.

"Follow me. The captain is training the new knights in the courtyard."

They followed the guard beyond the castle walls as attendants gave them a friendly bow and went on with their daily duties. After another hallway, the courtyard came into view as Joshua saw all the people from the tournament there in armor and sparring with wooden equipment. Peter was giving them a quick example on how to defend and parry as they circled around him.

"The key to a successful parry, is to wait until the enemy attacks and using your shield, knock their weapon to the side and strike," Peter said, noticing his father and brother standing there.

"I want you all to practice with each other until you get the hang of parrying."

Peter walked over, a big smile on his face as he hugged his dad.

"Hello father. I'm glad to see you in good health."

"As well as I can be. How's the knight business fairing for you?"

"It's going okay. I'm just training the new knights. It'll take a while but I see real potential in them."

That seem to put a dagger in Joshua's back as he looked down to the ground. Peter looked at him before back to his smiling dad.

"Are you taking Joshua back with you?"

"I'm going to let him decide if he wants to go or not. Forcing him will only make him hate me."

"You know it will be for the best."

"Maybe it will, maybe it won't. It's still Joshua's decision to make."

"You know I'm standing right here," Joshua said angrily.

"We meant no disrespect son," his dad said with a chuckle. "How is the king? I heard he liked the crown I made him."

"He likes it very much. I'll take you to him so he can thank you personally."

"Can I come?" Joshua asked.

"Stay here Joshua. We'll be right back," Peter said, leading their father into the castle.

Joshua let out a grunt and sat down on the stone steps watching the new knights practice. He looked at them with a sigh, envy in his demeanor. That should be him with the nice, cool armor. If it wasn't for that big brute, he would've won.

"Hey Joshua."

Joshua looked around for the person who called him until he spotted William.

"Hey Will," Joshua said with a forced smile.

William sat down next to him, wiping his forehead of the sweat that gathered there.

"You look good in that armor."

"Thanks. Even though it's hot like an oven in it."

"That should be me in there with you and the rest. Did Ruth get in also?"

"Yeah. She's training with the other ladies on the other side."

"I could've been a knight along with you if I didn't have to face that brute."

Before William could response, Justin appeared and laughed when he saw Joshua sitting there.

"What are you doing in here? This place is for knights only."

Joshua balled his fists as Justin walked over. The armor he was wearing only made him look even more intimidating.

"Leave him alone Justin. Go back to practicing with the others," William said.

"This guy is an eyesore and shouldn't be around here. Only people with REAL skills should be here."

"Then I guess if you had to use your head, you would fail horribly correct?" Joshua said with a smile.

Justin let out a angry grunt and tried to reach for him when William stood in his path.

"That's enough out of you," William said, looking Justin right in his hazel eyes.

Justin stared back at William who didn't even flinch. During a sparring match, William pretty much ran circles around Justin and made him look silly with his excellent parrying skills.

"Tch, fine whatever. Next time I see you boy, you better pray to the gods that I leave something for them to recognize you."

They watched him leave as William sat back down.

"Don't worry about Justin. He's all muscle and no brains."

"Thanks," Joshua said softly.

William smiled before getting back up. Looking down, he placed his hand on Joshua's shoulder.

"Can I give you some friendly advice?"

"Sure," Joshua said.

"Don't try to be something you're not. Believe it or not, blacksmiths are more important then you think. Without them, knights wouldn't be able to defend their homes or families. If you were to become a blacksmith, I bet you would make some of the greatest armor and weaponry that would even make the king envy."

This brought a small smile to Joshua's face as he looked up at Will.

"Thanks Will. You better head back before you get in trouble."

"Just think about what I said and I'm sure you will make the right choice," Will said, jogging back to the training cadets.

Will was right. Blacksmiths do make the weapons for the knights. But that didn't mean Joshua wanted to spend hours sweating and beating metal with a hammer all day. He rather be the one using the sword to defend his home. His thought process was broken when he heard his name being called.

"All set to go son?" his dad said, appearing from the hallway with Peter.

"Yeah," Joshua said getting up.

"I'll see you before you leave dad," Peter said, giving him a hug.

"Okay," his dad said, as he and Joshua left the castle.

They got the castle walls before his dad stopped.

"I'm going to head to my friend's smith shop and say hi. Care to come along?"

"Not today dad. Maybe tomorrow," Joshua said softly.

"No problem. Tomorrow it is. Tell your mother I'll be back later tonight."

"Okay."

Joshua headed back home and did his chores around the house. Once he was finished, he decided to go for a walk since it was a nice day and the sun was about to set, giving off the last of its warmth before the night took over. He walked down the forest path, enjoying the nice breeze before he heard something large splash into the lake.

"I wondered what that was?"

Remembering his last two encounters, he stayed safely behind the trees until he came upon the lake. There, he saw the dragon in the lake, washing itself. Joshua watched as the dragon cleaned each of its wings before dunking its head underneath and coming back up, a small smile could be seen on its snout.

"Look at it. If people saw this, my respect would soar."

The dragon walked out onto the sandy terrain before it expanded its wings and flapped them rapidly, making the wind dry his body. Joshua covered his face, avoiding the dust cloud so he wouldn't cough and give away his position. Once the dust cleared, he removed his arms and looked up to come face to face with the dragon. Its jade eyes were narrow as a growl came from its throat.

"How did it find me?" Joshua said to himself.

The dragon let out a snort before turning around and taking off into the air. Joshua watched it disappear into the sky before taking a breath, never realizing he was holding his breath the entire time.

"I'm either extremely lucky or the dragon just doesn't the taste of humans."

Letting out a sigh, Joshua headed back home. His parents were in the living room chuckling away with a glass of wine in their hands. He gave them each a hug good night before going to his room and getting into his night clothes. Getting under the covers, he drifted off to sleep quickly.

"So, are you ready to visit my friend's smith shop today?" Joshua's father asked at the table during breakfast.

Joshua looked at him while drinking some water before sighing.

"I guess so."

"I'm sure you'll enjoy it Joshua," his mother said, a somewhat proud smile on her face. "Maybe visiting the smith shop will help you to make your decision easier."

Grabbing his shoes, he headed out with his father towards the blacksmith shop in the village square. His dad had a smile on his face as they said their greetings to the town folks. The smell of iron started to become heavy in the air as they reached the village smithy.

"Hey Frank," his dad said knocking on the door.

The door opened as a large, burly man stood there. His chest was bare except for the apron around his neck. The muscles in his arms were large, probably from all the years of being a smith. Gentle black eyes looked at them both along with a smile.

"Hey Derrick," Frank said, moving aside so they could enter. "I take it this is young Joshua?"

"That it is Frank. He's the one I've been telling you about yesterday. He has the skills of a real blacksmith, he just doesn't know it or want to accept it."

Frank crossed his massive arms across his chest and looked Joshua up and down with his eyes, trying to judge just how good he might be by looks alone making Joshua feel little.

"How about we give him a little test then?"

Joshua looked up at Frank who went towards the corner of the shop and pick up a large sheet of iron and brought it over to the anvil.

"Using this sheet, create anything you want and I'll be the judge to see if your skills are as high as your father says they are."

Joshua looked at his dad who gave him an encouraging nod and a smile. He walked up to the large sheet of iron as Frank gave him a pair of gloves and a hammer.

"Take your time. We won't bother you at all."

Joshua nodded before looking at the sheet again. Taking a deep breath, he proceeded to pound away at the sheet. Both his dad and Frank watched with keen eyes as Joshua whittled down the large iron sheet into a circle.

"Let's see, I should be able to make it curve right about here," Joshua said to himself as he worked on the circle.

Truth be told, he was actually enjoying himself. A smile was on his face as he placed his work into the fire, making it hot enough to be able to do what he wanted. Taking it out, he started making designs onto the top while it was still hot.

"He's enjoying himself," Frank said, watching him work.

"I can tell. I knew he had it in him."

Finishing his design, he placed the circle into the large bucket of water causing it to bubble as it cooled down. Once it was cool, he hammered out the kinks before smoothing it down making it shine.

"Now I just need one more thing," Joshua said, looking around and noticing the pieces of the iron sheet on the floor.

Grabbing one, he shaped it into a handle before fixing it on the back of the plate. With a smile, he picked up the newly made shield and showed it to Frank.

"What do you think?" Joshua asked, sweat coming down from his face.

Frank took the shield and examined it. It was beautifully made with the image of two swords crossed in the middle. The weight of it was a tad light, meaning the user of the shield had great movement without losing any protection. Frank gave a smile before handing the shield back.

"Your father was right, you do have potential."

Joshua gave a small smile while looking at the shield he made.

"Thanks. This is just something I may need in case I do become a knight."

Frank and Derrick eyed each other before looking back at Joshua.

"So, you made a shield to prepare yourself to become a knight?" Frank asked.

"Why not? Every knight needs protection." Joshua replied.

Frank chuckled before looking at Derrick.

"You can't blame the kid for sticking with what he wants."

"I know," Derrick said with a disappointed sigh. "We better head back so you can get to work. Thanks for your time Frank."

"Anytime Derrick. Take care Joshua."

"Thank you Frank," Joshua said with a bow of his head.

They left his shop, Joshua holding onto the shield he just made with a smile.

"Joshua..." his father started.

"I know what you're going to say dad. You want me to be a smith like you. But I want to be a knight. I know I can be one. Maybe the next tournament will be the one I win."

Derrick rubbed his eyes, frustration on his mind. He was hoping the visit with Frank would encourage him to stop being stubborn and become a smith like him. He heard about the brutal beating he got from the last tournament and didn't want it to happen again.

"Why don't you want to be a blacksmith Joshua? Me and Frank both saw the talent you possess with a hammer and your creative mind. I don't understand why you want to be a knight so bad?"

"Because being a knight is all I ever wanted to be. I want to ability to say I saved some travelers from bandits. Or help capture an enemy that could provide vital information in taking a stronghold."

"So I take it you won't be coming back with me when I leave?"

Joshua held his head down sadly.

"Sorry dad, but I won't. I will become a knight, despite the lack of faith that everybody has in me."

Frank chuckled before shaking his head.

"Your mother's going to hate me for not making you change your mind. But you are your own man and I won't force you to do anything that you don't want to do."

"Thanks dad," Joshua said, giving him a hug.

"But if you ever do decide to become a smith, all you have to do is leave a message with Frank and I'll have somebody pick you up and bring you to my home."

"Okay," Joshua said with a nod.

They walked back home with idle chatter. His mother was a tad angry at Derrick for not making him change his mind but he told her exactly what he told Joshua. She finally settled down, but not before giving him a piece of her mind. Joshua just laid down in his bed staring at the ceiling.

"I'll prove to them all that I have the ability to be a knight, but how?"

Then, he got an idea. A crazy idea that just might work.

////////

The night sky was still overhead when Joshua woke up. Getting up, he grabbed a pair of warm, cotton pants, a cotton white shirt, along with a sweater. He crept downstairs, trying not to wake his sleeping parents. Opening the front door, the cold, crisp morning air hit his face making him shiver as he donned the sweater.

Walking to the barn, he opened the door, startling the horse. With a couple of soothing words, the horse calmed down as he patted his neck. Looking across from the stall, he saw the table holding the map that he looked at from time to time in case he ever did get into the knights, he would know the terrain well.

"Let's see. The dragon's home has to be close by." Joshua said, skimming over the map with his eyes.

He spotted a clump of mountains not to far from the village and close to a source of water which would make a perfect den. Taking a peek outside, he got his bearings before placing the map back onto the table. Grabbing the ax, his backpack, a flask he filled with some water, and something to munch on, he headed off towards what he called his destiny.

"I'll prove to them all that I deserve to be a knight."

The sun was high in the air, shining down its golden rays as Joshua sat under a tree, water flask in his hand. He'd been walking for a few hours and could see the clumps of mountains in the distance standing tall. He gave a smile before taking another sip of water, covering the opening.

"Not to far now. Maybe another hour or so."

Giving a stretch, he resumed his journey towards the mountains, a spark of hope igniting in his body. Crossing a small stream, he finally came to his destination as he looked up at the towering mountains.

"Now, if I was a dragon, where would I make my den?" he said to himself, as his eyes roamed around the mountain until he spotted a large hole. "There it is."

With a smile, he walked up to the face of the mountain and started his climb. Luckily for him, all those years of climbing trees when he was little was starting to pay off as he traversed the face of the mountain with surprising ease. He reached the clearing and pulled himself up with a grunt. Wiping the sweat off his forehead, he turned and stood in awe at the beautiful sight below him. The canopy of trees covered the ground like a blanket as the river that ran through it looked like a snake.

"What a peaceful view. Maybe I should do this more often."

His mind returned to the task at hand as he turned around to face the dark entrance of the large cavern in front of him. The wind blew at him from inside the cave, bringing with it the smell of rotten flesh and decay. Taking a deep breath, he ventured into the depths of the cavern. Surprisingly, there was ample light coming from the various holes in the rock formation.

Step by careful step, he made his way into the cavern as it took a couple of sharps turns before opening up into a massive lair. There, laying down among the scatter remains of some poor unfortunate, was the dragon. The sun was shining down from a hole in the ceiling making it seem like it was in the spotlight. Its breathing was calm, letting a small purr as it had a happy moment in its dream.

Again, Joshua was mesmerized by the beauty the dragon displayed as he stared at it. Snapping out of his stare, he slowly and quietly, laid his backpack and ax against the wall before he crept up to the dragon, making sure there was nothing in his path. Getting closer, he heard the soft snores coming from the dragon's nose as its tail twitched back and forth.

"All I need is one scale, or maybe two. Damn, how many should I take to prove its real?"

Making up his mind, he looked around the dragon, noticing the glittering scales in the sunlight that were scattered around its body. With a smile, he carefully made his way around the giant, picking up the scales that were surprisingly smooth to the touch. The dragon shifted in his sleep, startling Joshua who stood perfectly still, remembering last time what happened. But in doing so, the dragon's tail curled around his legs.

"Damn, this is bad."

With a little force, he wiggled his feet free, but not before his foot came down onto a bone that was dragged on the ground by its tail which snapped on impact The dragon awoke with a loud growl and whipped around, seeing yet again the same human that awoke it the other times. It pinned Joshua to the wall, squeezing hard making the air escaped Joshua lungs.

"Why do you constantly disturb me human?" the dragon spoke in Joshua's mind.

This startled Joshua as the dragon's jade eyes looked into his.

"You.......can.......talk?"

"Answer my question or I will crush you where you stand," the dragon said, proving his point by adding more pressure crushing Joshua into the wall.

"I.......meant no......harm. I only........wanted a......scale......to prove.......you were real........and get into.......the knights."

The dragon looked at him before letting out a snort and let Joshua go, who fell to his knees taking huge gasps of air.

"You don't look like much of a knight in my eyes."

Joshua recovered his breath, looking up at the dragon with a stern expression.

"If you truly wanted to be a knight, you would've killed me on the spot and brought my head back as proof. Why didn't you?"

"I don't know," Joshua answered, looking down.

The dragon turned its head and looked towards the entrance, spotting the ax sitting against the wall.

"You bring a weapon but you don't use it. Very unbecoming of a knight if you ask me."

"I will become a knight. I have to prove everybody wrong."

"Then prove it. Take your weapon and fight me, if you dare," the dragon said, eyes narrowing and showing an evil, smug grin.

Joshua looked at the dragon, then at the ax on the wall. Balling his fists, he hurried over to the ax and took it into his hands making the dragon smile.

"Now prove yourself," it said, getting into a defensive stance.

Joshua circled the dragon who did the same. He watched its tail twitch as that smug grin showed again. Joshua decided to go for the killing blow and charged the dragon, weapon to the side. The dragon saw his lunge and countered, swinging its tail outward and grabbing Joshua left leg and taking it away, making him fall to the ground. His body hit the ground with a thud, air escaping him for a brief second.

He saw the giant claw of the dragon bearing down on him. Rolling to the side, he felt the ground shake where his body would've have been. Getting to his feet, he tried his attack again, only to get swatted back from an expanded wing as he rolled on the floor before hitting the wall. A cracking sound caught his attention as the dragon stepped on the ax making it useless. The dragon chuckled evilly before pinning Joshua on the wall again.

"You are no knight."

Joshua let out a defeated sigh as he lowered his head.

"I'm useless. Just eat me now and make it quick."

The dragon chuckled before looking at him.

"Eat you? Oh no, little one. Eating you is not the first thing that comes to my mind. Since you seem to have a way of disturbing my slumber, it is only fitting that I repay the favor."

Joshua looked confused as the dragon showed its teeth in an evil grin. The dragon gripped him in its clawed hand, lifting him off the ground as it brought its other claw up to his rear. A ripping sound could be heard as he felt his sweater and shirt start to become loose around his body. He could only watch as his clothing fell to the ground in a useless heap. His pants came next, along with his shoes leaving him naked as the dragon smiled.

"Perfect," the dragon said evilly. "Clothing is such a pain to get out of my teeth."

The dragon lowered him down to the cavern floor, making Joshua shiver from the cold. It kept him pinned down to the ground with light pressure before dragging its tongue around the squirming body beneath it with a purr.

"You taste pretty good. Maybe I should devour you?"

A sniffle escaped the pinned human as he closed his eyes, a single tear coming down his face. This was it. Joshua Roth's life ended by the hands of a dragon. A few seconds passed with nothing happening, until he felt something slick and hot press against his chest. A strong, musky scent reached his nose assaulting and clouding his senses. Opening his eyes, he saw something completely unexpected.

"Since I haven't bred anything in a while, you will fill that void."

"But, that is-"

He couldn't finish as the dragon growled evilly down at him, pressing him into the ground getting a yelp of pain from the body below. It lifted its claw off the human and turned around, its tail to the side exposing its length from the back.

"Since you like to talk a lot, put your tongue to good use and clean me."

Joshua regained his composure before shaking his head in defiance.

"I won't do that. It's unnatural and disgusting."

A growl escaped the dragon's mouth as it turned back around and pinned him to the ground again.

"You are in no position to argue with me human. I can put an end to your life right here and now, or you can follow my commands and maybe there will be some hope for you."

Seeing no other option, Joshua closed his eyes and got to his knees, crawling over to the dragon. The dragon grinned, putting its tail to the side allowing access. The strong, musky smell assaulted Joshua making him cringe.

"I'm waiting human."

Closing his eyes, Joshua slowly stuck his tongue out and pressed it softly against the outer ring of the dragon's pucker.. A purr escaped the dragon, feeling the soft, wet tongue of the human come into contact with his rear, a lewd sense of forbidden desire rushing to his mind. Joshua felt immediately repulsed by the actions he was being forced to perpetrate, slowly dragging his tongue across the dragon's anal opening with a distasteful reluctance. Had had never in his life considered that he would ever be doing something like this to a beast.

As he slowly used his oral organ to satisfy the dragon's cruel sexual pleasures, he found himself wondering about the taste which has was experiencing. He had expected it to be filthy, tainted with the wastes of the dragon, yet it was undeniably spotless under his tongue. The air around the cave didn't help clear the aroma, but instead, magnified it making his body hot all over despite his knees being on the cold cavern floor and void of all his clothing. The rich, gamey taste filled his mouth and he almost choked on the thick, musky aroma which was filling his mind from the beast's pungent rear.

"Keep going human, that feels wonderful. Go deeper now, submit to my will."

The dragon's powerful command left Joshua in no position to argue. Using his fingertips he slowly parted the dragon's pucker, forcing his tongue deeper into the forbidden opening under the dragon's tail. At first, he thought the scales were going to cut his cheek, but to his surprise they were soft and smooth as they glided softly across his face with the motions he was doing. Inside it was much different; the flesh became softer under his tongue, his nose pressing up against the dragon's scales. He simply obeyed, fearful for his life and he worked his tongue around the slimy walls of the dragon's anal passage, taking in all of its overwhelmingly potent flavor.

The musky smell started to become stronger and for some reason, it was affecting Joshua's mind. He was slowly starting to crave more and more, as he drove his tongue into the depth of the dragon getting a startled gasp.

"Yes, that's it."

Joshua gripped the dragon hard, pushing as far and as deep as he could, his mind clouded by unwanted lust. The dragon purred loudly, loving the feeling he so forgotten from the lack of sex he had experienced for the past years. His phallus throbbed hard underneath him, pre dripping to the ground like a leaking sink. A small, cool breeze from the cave opening rushed in and washed over it, making it pulse harder and begged to be put to use. His sharp claws digging lines in the ground from the pleasure causing small sparks to appear. With half lidded eyes, he looked back to see Joshua's cock rock hard and grinned at the sight.

"It seems you are enjoying this. But I think its time I started to really enjoy myself."

The dragon pulled away, leaving a dazed and horny Joshua sitting there. With a quick spin, the dragon used its tail to turn the human around and on all fours, surprising Joshua as he gave a startled gasp.

"What....what are you doing?"

"I'm going to mount you. Then I'm going to claim you as my own with my seed. You will belong to me and me alone."

"You....you can't do that," Joshua stumbled, trying to get to his feet and away from the horny dragon.

The dragon let out a growl and pinned the scrambling human to the cavern wall. Joshua let out a gasp, feeling the dragon's organ against his back as the slimy pre dribbled onto his bare skin.

"You don't understand human. I will claim you whether you like it or not."

The dragon lifted him up to his chest, positioning him over his throbbing erection as Joshua tried pleading again, wiggling around in the dragon's strong grip.

"Please, don't do this. I'm not a dragon. You'll rip me apart."

"I won't know until I try. Prepare yourself for me human."

With a grin, the dragon lowered the crying human downward until he felt the puckered opening. Joshua tensed up, hoping that this last ditch effort would keep his body intact. Nothing would deny the dragon, as it used its strength to plow the first couple of inches into the human. A terrifying yell echoed through the cavern as Joshua felt that spear of meat ripped into his body.

"You are.....tight human. This is my lucky day." the dragon hissed, pleasure spiking up its spine from the tight walls gripping him for dear life.

Tears went down Joshua face, never having felt such pain before in his life. He thought his last beating was painful, but that couldn't compare to what he was experiencing now. It was like a hot, slimy stick was pushing his insides further into his body. The dragon let out a pleasurable groan, pushing Joshua down until their hips were flush together. Its tail twitched on the ground like a cat, kicking up small clouds of dust.

"You said it wouldn't fit human? Seems like it fits just fine."

Joshua couldn't response, let alone think straight as the pain took over. The dragonic cock heated his body from the inside making him pant for air. Another yell escaped his mouth as the dragon pulled out, letting his insides get back into position before pushing in again. Numbness stared to take over as the dragon began to slowly pick up the pace. Their hips colliding together with lewd, slick sounds that echoed onto the cavern walls. Despite the unbelievable pain wrecking his body, a slim spark of pleasure could be felt with each massive thrust the dragon gave him. A forbidden pleasure that he couldn't believe he was feeling and who was giving it to him.

"Oh yes. This is better then I had imagined it," the dragon groaned, keeping its steady thrusting.

The dragon couldn't get enough of the tight, virgin walls gripping him. It was a feeling he long forgotten and was loving every second of it. Every withdrawal from Joshua's insides, caused a spike of pleasure as the tight walls gripped him before relaxing and allowing entrance back inside the warm, moist tunnel. The slippery pre coating his insides made the transaction smoother and faster as the dragon moved his hips with a purpose. And that purpose was to claim what was his.

Joshua couldn't describe what he was feeling. The dragon's penis going in and out of his body was something foreign and detestable. But for some strange reason, his body was craving more and more. The small bumps that occupied that giant phallus, caused his body to shiver from untold pleasure as they rubbed his insides in a way he never thought possible. Every complete thrust, the tip pressed that pleasure button inside him making him moan uncontrollably and clench hard onto that invading organ.

"You're loving this aren't you human? I can feel you squeezing me harder and harder."

"N....no. I hate.....this. Your....making me....do this," Joshua groaned, trying to maintain some control over his body.

"Your mind is saying no. But this," the dragon said, reaching down and grabbing Joshua's rock hard erection, stroking it up and down making him give a louder moan. "Is telling me differently."

"Please....stop.....you can't..."

The dragon just gave an evil smile and pushed harder into that warm tunnel. Not having mated in a long time was starting to come into play as the dragon felt his orgasm approaching rapidly. Pre leaked out of Joshua anal passage making the thrusting go faster as his body somehow adjusted to the girth of the intruding invader. With a groan, he doubled his thrusting, getting a yell from the body in his arms. It dug his nail into the thighs of Joshua, a steady growl growing in its throat making Joshua yell in a mixture of pain and forbidden pleasure.

"I'm close human, get ready to take everything I have to offer."

"Please.....no," Joshua cried.

The dragon felt his balls churn painfully inside his body, waiting to unleash the pent up seed into its host. Joshua felt his lower body go numb from the constant pounding. Much to his dismay, he also felt that familiar feeling creep up his spine as his pre coated penis throbbed heavily with each thrust. He can't believe that this beast violated his body and is about to fill him with filthy seed and that he is going to cum because of it.

Despite himself, a pleasure filled cry escaped Joshua's mouth as he came hard. Small ropes of semen shot forth from his tip, hitting the cold ground below him making a tiny puddle. The sudden orgasm caused him to constrict tightly around the dragon's cock which was all the dragon could take as it roared loudly, vibrating the walls as it exploded into Joshua rear. Joshua felt the hot warmth spread inside him like a blanket as the dragon came nonstop. Each throb he felt inside his body was accompanied with another blast of sticky cum. The hot seed escaped from the confines of the dragon's balls and into its new home, making Joshua's stomach extend a little from the volume of it making him groan as he felt it fill him to the brim before leaking out onto the dragon's waist.

The dragon gripped him possessively, making sure he pumped every single drop of his seed into his host. The dragon leaned its head against the cool cavern walls, feeling light headed as his cock shot out a couple of weak spurts before finally subsiding. Silence was absolute inside the cave except for the heavy breathing of both parties. The dragon opened its eyes slowly, tongue hanging out as it looked down at Joshua's prone body on his lap. A grin escaped him as he noticed and smelt the cum Joshua emitted on the floor.

"Looks like you did enjoy yourself."

Joshua was speechless as his eyes was closed, panting hard. A weak groan escaped his lips as the dragon pulled him off his spent cock and onto the floor next to his mess. The dragon grinned before smearing what was left on his cock onto Joshua's back.

"I must thank you human. That was the best mating I had in ages."

Joshua sat on the cave floor, his arms crossed over his chest. He never felt so violated and abused in his life. He kept thinking this was all a bad dream and he would wake up any minute but the warm seed trickling out of his abused anal passage told him that this was no dream, but more of a nightmare. A chuckle from the dragon only made the nightmare worse.

"You make a better toy then a knight."

"I'm not a toy," Joshua said weakly, but with some conviction.

"You could've fooled me."

Joshua glared at the dragon who chuckled.

"Then why not prove it to me."

Joshua watched as the dragon got on all fours and turned around, its tail to the side exposing himself to Joshua again.

"Mount me as hard as you can. Prove you are more then just a toy."

Joshua's mouth opened in shock at what he heard.

"You want me to penetrate you?"

"Was that not clear enough?"

"But..."

The dragon growled and wrapped its tail around Joshua's body earning a grunt from him.

"I have no problem disposing of a toy like yourself right now after pleasing myself. So you have two options. I can kill you now and fall asleep, satisfied and with a full stomach. Or two, you can do what I command and maybe you'll get some satisfaction out of this."

Joshua let out a pained grunt feeling the tail constrict tightly around him, taking away his air little by little. It seems he had no choice but to defile himself even more by mounting this beast.

"All right, I'll do it."

"I know you will."

Joshua took a hefty breath when the tail uncoiled from his body, filling his burning lungs with air. He looked on as the dragon presented himself again, tail to the side. With shaky legs, he got into position behind the dragon.

"I don't have all year human," the dragon said with impatience.

It didn't take much for Joshua to get erect again as the musk coming from the dragon seem to take full control and cloud his mind with lust and want. He lined himself up with the puckered opening before pushing the tip in with a pop, getting a gasp of pleasure from his lips as the heat enclosed around him. He watched with rapture as his penis disappear slowly into the dragon's tail hole. He pushed all the way inside, their hips meeting with a smack as the warmth and tightness caressed his penis in ways he never thought was possible. The dragon let out a small hiss of pleasure, feeling the human push into his body.

"I....never felt....anything like this..." Joshua groaned, feeling the dragon clench and relax around his penis.

"Don't just stand there human. Hurry and breed me, before I change my mind."

Joshua got his senses back from the initial penetration and proceeded to breed this giant beast. Each push into the dragon sent a shiver up his spine as the heat and tightness of the dragon's anal passage was something he couldn't describe. Each squeeze the dragon did seemed to caress the sensitive nerves around the head making his knees buckle from pleasure. He gripped the dragon and rapidly pushed into it. The dragon's tail twitched behind him with each deep hilt before curling lightly around his body. He thought he was giving the same treatment he received but a chuckle got his attention.

"Is that all you got human? Surely, a knight can do better then this," the dragon mocked, looking back at Joshua with a somewhat bored expression.

That was the last Joshua would take from this beast. He would show this dragon just how much of a knight he could become. Getting a better grip then he already had, he put all his strength and weight into his next thrust, earning a sharp gasp from the dragon. He used his legs to put as much leverage into each hard thrust he gave. Joshua groaned, sweat starting to form on his body as he threw everything he had at the insulting dragon. He remembered all the beatings he took a each tournament as used it as fuel to power each thrust. Maybe this would shut the dragon up.

"A tad better, but still not good enough. Maybe you better give up being a knight."

In all honesty, the dragon was actually enjoying the rough treatment. Its rock hard cock was dripping pre constantly onto the cavern floor as it dug its sharp claws into the ground making grooves. Joshua felt his balls tingle again, his hips connecting with the dragon's rear with loud, powerful slaps that echoed around the walls. He hated and despised himself for loving every second his cock was inside the tight, moist walls of the dragon but that couldn't be helped. His toe started to curl feeling his climax coming hard and pushed as deep as he could, the walls around his cock milking him hard with each squeeze.

"Not.....going....to last," Joshua moaned.

White dots filled Joshua's vision as he shot his load into the depths of the dragon's anal passage with a groan. He bucked his hips with every spurt that came from his tip as he filled the warm passage with his sticky seed. Each spurt made his head spin as the dragon squeezed down on him. A pleasure filled hiss escaped the dragon feeling the human fill him with seed. It was a tiny bit impressed with the small display of power but it wasn't enough. The exhaustion took Joshua as he fell backwards, his cock coming out with a slick pop as a small trail of cum leaked out. The dragon looked back to see Joshua panting hard on his knees.

"I'm surprised you're still alive with such a weak display of power."

Joshua gave a weak growl as the dragon chuckled, before a wicked idea crossed its mind as it gave an evil grin.

"Since your weak seed doesn't deserve to be in my body, come here and take it out with your tongue."

Joshua shook his head in utter defiance and disgust. There was only so much he would do, even if it meant being killed.

"I won't do that. That's going too far."

"I have yet to go too far human. Remember, I hold you weak, pitiful life in my hands and can extinguish it just as fast."

Joshua stood firm in his defiance as the dragon growled. It approached him before pinning to the ground. Lifting one claw, it made a small, but painful cut on his arm making Joshua yell in pain.

"How much pain can withstand before you learn your place?" the dragon growled, adding another cut followed by another.

Joshua tried to get away but was held firmly in place, the searing pain in his arms getting worse by the second. Finally, he gave in as tears went down his face.

"Please....no more. I'll do it."

"I know you will." the dragon growled, letting Joshua up before turning around.

Joshua could feel the blood trickle down his arms as he got to his knees, his arms felt like there were hot needles sticking in them. He got behind the dragon again, before slowly sticking out his tongue as gathering the trail of cum running out of the dragon's anal passage. The salty taste of his own seed assaulted his taste buds making him want to gag. This was the greatest disgrace he ever thought was possible to do to a person. Sure, getting mounted by a beast is one thing, but to swallow your own seed from a place such as that is beyond reason.

The salty seed covered his tongue as he made his way up to the puckered opening. Closing his eyes as a couple of tears went down his cheek, he stuck his tongue into the walls he penetrated just moments before and began to take back his own seed. He felt pure revolt as he collected what he spilled. The musky scent coming from the dragon, along with the stuffy atmosphere in the cave, started to affect his thinking and made him crave to serve this mighty beast. Using two fingers, he spread open the hole and drove his tongue further in. He swirled his tongue around the moist, pink walls, collecting everything he could as he pressed his nose against the smooth scales. The dragon let out another small hiss of pleasure feeling the human clean out his passage for a second time. It felt the cool air around its opening and shivered from the saliva that was being affected and looked back.

"Did you get it all?" the dragon asked with a grin.

Joshua leaned his head back and looked as best as he could into the dark hole.

"I think so."

The dragon turned around and shocking Joshua, drove his tongue into his mouth, tasting the seed and his own musk. His eyes went wide in shock. The long, slimy organ overpowered Joshua's tongue as it swirled around his mouth collecting what he just gathered. The initial shock faded before his eyes closed halfway and returned the strange kiss, caressing the dragon's face softly. The dragon pulled away and looked into Joshua's eyes, noticing the faraway and almost vacant look into them.

"I see you are learning your place. Now, use that tongue of yours and clean my penis."

The dragon leaned against the cavern wall, wings tucked neatly on its back, spreading its legs as that thick, black dragon phallic stood proudly in the air. Joshua's body seemed to move on its own as he knelt between the dragon's leg. He reached up and gently took a hold of the large cock in front of him. It throbbed softly in his grip as he slowly stroked it up and down. It felt hot in Joshua's hands as he explored the small bumps that covered certain areas. Closing his eyes, he stuck his tongue out, starting from the bottom and made his way to the top, tasting the pre that was coating the large appendix.

He felt the dragon shiver in his grasp, knowing that he was doing a good job before doing it again. Pre dribbled nonstop down the length as Joshua gathered what he could into his mouth with a small moan as the rest covered his hands, making them slicker as he moved them up and down. The musky taste was more powerful coming straight from the source as he savored every drop that came out. The dragon looked down at him, giving a hiss of pleasure before speaking.

"Use your mouth also. That's connected to your tongue if I remember correctly is it not? You like to speak a lot so maybe this will keep you quiet."

Joshua looked up at the dragon and slowly nodded his head in submission. He gave it another lick before taking what he could into his mouth. A steady stream of pre puffed out his cheeks, forcing him to swallow almost every ten seconds as he dragged the tip along the roof of his mouth where the ridges made the dragon groan. He moved his hands up and down, squeezing along the length making the dragon's tail twitch on the ground. He couldn't keep up with the steady stream of pre as it leaked down the side of his mouth, making him pull off to collect his breath.

"Did I say you can rest."

"But, I can't breathe with all that liquid you're dispensing."

"Get used to it toy. Now get back to work."

Joshua groaned, feeling his hands getting coated in the pre that he couldn't collect as he covered that thick phallus once again with his mouth. He added more pressure into his sucking and stroking, hoping to get the dragon off quickly or he'll either suffocate from lack of air, or drown in the liquid that it was constantly leaking. The dragon gave a deep hiss, feeling the added pressure Joshua applied and grinned, finally the human was learning. Maybe there was hope for him yet. Joshua tried to go deeper, but every time he tried, he gagged and decided against it. After awhile, his mouth started to get tired along with his hands. How much could it take to make this dragon cum? He had to finish this soon, so he sped up his stroking, squeezing extra hard at the base of the penis earning a gasp from the dragon. Swirling his tongue around the head of the dragon's penis made it throb hard in his mouth as he increased his pressure.

"You're doing good toy. Just a little longer, and you'll get what you crave."

Joshua didn't know how much a little longer was. His arms felt like rubber as the cuts stung and muscles ached. His jaw wasn't in any better shape as it ached. Finally, exhaustion kicked in as he pulled off, panting hard.

"I didn't say you can stop."

"I can't do this anymore. My jaw feels like it's going to fall off."

"You are useless, toy." the dragon growled.

With quickness that shocked Joshua, the dragon spun and pinned him against the wall, shoving his cock into his mouth again, almost all the way to the back of his throat getting a forced gag from Joshua. His eyes went wide as tears formed as his breathing got cut off for a split second.

"If you want something done right, do it yourself."

Gripping his head still with his clawed hands, the dragon proceeded to ram his cock into that hot mouth over and over. Joshua was helpless as his head was used to the dragon's whim. Every breath he took was filled with the dragon's musk making him light headed. He swallowed as fast as he could with loud, wet slurps before the never ending stream of pre could drown him. The dragon let out a growl, feeling its orgasm rapidly approaching but holding back for as long as possible, making sure to use Joshua's head to his advantage.

"This is how you use your mouth toy."

Joshua's head banged roughly against the cave wall with each savage thrust the dragon gave, threaten to knock him out if a hard enough blow was delivered. He could feel the dragon's cock throb and twitch in his mouth, signaling the imminent climax. Wanting this humiliation to end, he used his tongue as best as he could, stimulating the sensitive nerves along the tip making the dragon growl loudly.

"Take it all toy. Savor every drop that your master has to offer."

A couple more thrusts and the dragon roared loudly. That first shot was powerful, going straight down Joshua throat making him cough and gag. The second and third spurts followed quickly after as Joshua's throat and tongue got covered with hot, dragonic seed. Joshua started to panic in his weakened state as his breathing was rapidly being cut off as the dragon was flush to his face. The dragon seemed to have sensed this as it pulled out of Joshua's mouth and coated his face. Joshua leaned on the wall, feeling every hot splash of cum hit his weak body covering him from head to toe. When the finally rope hit his body, Joshua welcomed the darkness that the exhaustion took away from his body as he slid to the ground out cold. The dragon looked down at the cum covered human with glassy eyes.

"Humph. With a little more endurance, he could last longer. No matter, he served his purpose, for now."

The dragon wanted to leave him there, but there was something about this human that plucked a very small string in his heart. Reluctantly, he lowered his head and cleaned Joshua of his seed. His seed mixed the soft flesh of the human made it purr softly as it lapped up everything. Once that was done, he placed him at his side as he curled up in a ball, his wing covering Joshua making him shiver lightly.

"I will make you stronger human. You can count on that."

With a small grin about what he had in store for Joshua, the dragon closed its eyes and continued with the nap it was taking before being disturbed.

//////////

Joshua looked at his parents sleeping forms in their bed. With a sigh, he laid the note he had written out onto the dresser where they would see it when they awaken in the morning. Having did that, he exited the house, backpack full of clothes as he took the dirt trail in the back of the house towards the forest. Reaching the clearing, he saw the dragon waiting for him.

"Have you said you final farewell?"

"I couldn't wake them, so I left them a note."

"Once I get finished with you, you'll be more then just a toy. I'll train you to be the best knight ever. A fair trade is it not?"

Joshua nodded his head slowly. Sure being treated as a slave is degrading, but if it meant he could be a knight, he was willing to endure anything and everything to achieve that goal.

"Then let us go," the dragon said, kneeling down so Joshua could get onto his back.

Joshua looked back through the woods at his home. He wondered how long it would be before he would return. Shouldering his pack, he climbed onto the dragon as they took off into the night sky together.

"I'll prove everybody wrong. I'll be a better knight then everybody, even my brother." Joshua said to himself as he felt the wind around him, making him grip the dragon harder as they flew through the air.
