First story so you'll have to forgive me if it's a little lame or vague... Sorry. Anyway, I dont own Renamon, Meramon, or anything else that was copyrighted by Bandai and the Creator(s) of the glorious thing that is Digimon. Thank you and have a nice day.

A man stood on a hill, scrunching his shoulders up. The night was crisp and cool, his breath frostin in the air. The man looked at the house at the bottom of the hill. He sighed as he turned to his partner, a Meramon. "You know what to do. Kill everyon but the target. Leave no one alive except her," he ordered. The Meramon cackled before racing toward the house. "This had better be worth it," he said to himself as he lit a cigarette and sat down to wait.

Two humans and two Taomon were sitting in the kitchen laughing and drinking fresh tea. They had been talking about their children, the humans' son Zen and the Taomons' daughter Rayne. There was suddenly a knock at the door. The human female stood up to open it, laughing as she did so, touching the handle right as the door was blasted off its hinges, crushing the woman against a wall and killing her instantly. Zens father jumped up and shouted in grief and fury. "Sora!" he screamed as he raced to his deceased wife. He bent to pull the door off of her when he heard two sicking cracks. The man turned around only to see the Taomon in a Meramons hands, their heads at odd, unnatural angles. He stared in horrer as the Meramon dropped the boddies before walking forward and grabbing the man in a chokehold. "Where's the child digimon? I know it's here, I can smell it. You're not doing yourself any favors by hiding it," it said. "Go... to... hell..." the man managed before the Meramon smiled cruelly. "Wrong answer," it said before setting the man on fire. The Meramon chuckled as it dropped the frying corpse, then turned toward the stairs, calling out ahead of it, "Come out, come out, wherever you are."

A 10 year old boy and a Viximon sat in the floor, frozen in fear as the door burst into peices. This made them move, if only to cover the peices. They looked up, frightened as the Meramon walked into the room. "There you are," it said as it went to grab the Viximon. "Stay away from her!" the boy yelled as he launched himself at the Meramon. It merely chuckled as it swatted the boy to the side. It then walked up to the boy and said, "Something to remeber me by," just before wrapping its hand around the boys throat. When it removed its hand, the boy had a collar of burns around his neck. The boy screamed in pain as he hit the ground. The Viximon jumped in front of the boy and bit the Meramon on the arm. The Meramon growled before grabbing her by the tail and slamming her into a wall, knocking the Viximon out. The Meramon looked back at the boy before walking out the door. The sight of it taking away his friend was the last thing he saw before giving into the blessed darkness of unconsciousness.

The man from earlier looked up, watching the Meramon walking towards him, the Viximon in its grasp. "Good, now let's go. I dont want to be here any longer. I just hope the boss is pleased with his new aquisition," he said before turning around and walking away from the house.

Xx 8 years later xX

A 18 year old boy sat staring at a very high-tech, very gaurded building. This building was the Mississippi branch of GeneTech, a company that supposedly helped train young digimon for battle in the DigiWorld by changing the digimons code. It did change the codes, but it did it to create weapons to take over both worlds. He thought of a friend that his contact within the company had told him of, a friend he hadnt seen in 8 years. The boy absent-mindedly reached up to touch his collar, his fingers finding their way to the burn scars that wringed his neck. 'Finally. I've finally found the people who took you. I'll get you out of there soon. And when I do, we are going to tear this place down to the ground. I'm coming for you, Rayne,' he thought as he walked toward the heavily armed gaurds.
