"Second Chances"

By Aureus Jackal

The golden jackal sat in front of his computer and stared at the screen as his tail swished nervously behind him. He took a deep breath to calm himself as he focused his attention on the announcement from his instant messenger. His friend Sunkit had just signed on. Jack swished his tail a bit faster and nodded to himself. Today's the day I'm going to do it! He told himself.

Jack gazed at the photo next to the entry on his messenger list and felt his heart beat a little bit faster. Sunkit was an otter from the next town over, and while the jackal had to admit he hadn't known him that long, he had quickly become one of his favorite furs. He lived too far away to hang out with on a daily basis but just close enough that they had managed to spend time together a few times. They had talked, they showed each other around their respective hometowns, and each got to share their favorite things to do there. All of them things that could be considered typical things friends that lived a bit apart would do when they got together, except somehow Sunkit made them all amazing. The jackal blushed as he thought on this a bit and continued to work up his courage.

The first time Jack met Sunkit, he wasn't sure what to expect. Every indication told him the otter was nice and he had nothing to worry about, but the butterflies refused to leave his stomach as he waited for him to arrive. The jackal wasn't even sure why he insisted to play host first. Sure, it meant he'd get to stay in familiar surroundings while he met his new friend, and put him in a good position to make a good first impression - but the tradeoff was having a lot of time on his paws before all of that got started. He felt more than a little envious as he realized Sunkit would have travel to distract him if he was feeling nervous, at least until he got there. Jack spent the whole part of the day leading up to the meeting getting increasingly nervous, eventually getting to the point where he was sure there was no way he could avoid making a fool of himself and the few butterflies his stomach started out with seemed to have multiplied and mutated into angry bees. The moment he caught his first glimpse of the otter, however, he felt his anxiety slowly drain away and the bees that had taken up residence in his belly seemed to have decided to migrate to greener pastures. By the time he finally came face to face with Sunkit, the only hint of his previous nervousness was a slight blush as he said hello. Over the course of their next few meetings and continued conversations online Jack found the otter to be strangely easy to get along with and comfortable to be around. It wasn't long until...

The jackal hid his face in his paws as he waited for the blush to pass as he thought about how Sunkit made him feel. It was kind of crazy, and yet... he really couldn't deny it. Today's the day... _Jack told himself. _Today's the day I tell Sunkit... I love him! In truth, his inner voice sounded much more confident than he actually felt, but as he considered the otter's picture on the messenger he knew he would not be able to keep it to himself for much longer - better to say it rather than have it slip out unintentionally.

Jack took a deep breath and opened up a messenger window. *** Heya! ^^***he wrote and almost held his breath as he waited for the response to come.

*Hello Jack! ^^* came the response.

It was so reassuringly normal that the jackal felt his confidence build a bit. He could do this, he was sure of it. As the conversation continued, and they talked about various things that happened in their days, future plans with random topics sprinkled in, Jack felt his confidence and the warm and fuzzy feeling that usually nested in his chest during their conversations grow until he realized his moment of opportunity had arrived; his confidence was only likely to start fading if he waited any longer. He swished his tail nervously as he typed, *** Um... Sunkit? There's something I really want to tell you...***

*Really? What is it Jack?* the otter replied through the chat.

*Well... I want you to know... that I really like you. ^^;;* Jack responded. His tail swished faster as he waited for a response.

The jackal didn't have long to wait for Sunkit's response . *** Aw, thanks Jack, I like you too. You've been a great friend. ^^***

Jack blinked as he read the message and swore at himself softly. Of course I'd like him and he likes me we're friends! He thought to himself. I'm being too vague. He gulped as he stared at the screen. I'm going to have to be... more direct...

The jackal took a deep breath as he continued typing, *** I'm glad... but what I mean is... I really, REALLY like you...***Jack stared at his message and groaned a bit. It was really worse than his first attempt.

*Um... thanks ^^;; I've enjoyed talking to you and hanging out together.* Sunkit responded.

*But... Um....*

*What is it, Jack? o.o* the otter replied.

Jack could practically sense the confusion radiating from the text. He was essentially stating the same thing over again and it wasn't even exactly what he wanted to say. The jackal knew it was a now or never situation. He had Sunkit's attention, even if he had only managed to confuse the poor otter with his vague messages. He closed his eyes and started typing, knowing if he looked he might lose his nerve. *** Well, what I mean to say is I think you're great. I know we haven't hung out THAT many times yet but I can tell you're amazing. I feel happy and inspired when we talk and when I'm around you even the most mundane things become incredible. I.. what I really want to say is... I love you.***

The jackal blushed heavily as he sent the message and kept his eyes closed for several moments afterwards, afraid to see what his friend's response would be. He had thought he had prepared himself for the possibilities, but now that he was actually faced with them he realized how unprepared he really was.

After what seemed like an eternity to the jackal, a response finally arrived. *** Jack... I'm flattered.. but I'm straight. ***

Jack felt himself wilt in his chair as he read the response. It was one of the possible outcomes he had tried to prepare himself for, but seeing it was so much harder than he had planned for. Panic suddenly hit as he realized he had confessed love to his good friend. What if he had made things awkward? What if he never wanted to talk to him again? *** Oh... um, sorry. Please don't hate me. Just forget I said anything...***

*Jack... I wouldn't do that. o.o You're still my friend.* came the response. It came so fast after his panicked attempt to recover things that Jack could tell it was sincere.

*Thanks...* the jackal managed to reply. There was a lot more he wanted to say but his vision was becoming suspiciously blurry.

*Are you alright? Jack...? You do believe me right? I don't hate you and you're still my friend. *

Jack wiped his eyes and felt profoundly grateful his friend could not see him at that moment. It wasn't Sunkit's fault he was upset, after all. He was the one that went into this unprepared; it would have made him feel worse if he upset his friend with all this.

*Yeah... I'm alright. Thanks. I'm really glad you're my friend. I'm glad you're not upset with me... and I'm still really really glad we met.* As he sent the message and wiped his eyes a bit more, the jackal knew he meant every word of it. He sniffled a bit and flattened his ears as he realized he still meant the other things he said too. He couldn't help it, really. The jackal also found it incredibly hard to stay sad as Sunkit steered the conversation onto a different topic. Jack sighed heavily as he realized the otter's charms only made him more amazing in his eyes. Though, having to cope with yearning for Sunkit's attention was a very small price to make his acquaintance, Jack realized. The jackal profoundly hoped he had truly not made things awkward with his friend. He was too important to let that happen.

* * * * * * * * * *

Sunkit tossed and turned in his bed as he tried to find a position that would allow sleep to come. In the quiet darkness of his room, the events of earlier in the day finally had a chance to sink in. Despite his long day and the late hour he found it impossible to sleep. The otter sighed as he finally found a comfortable spot and let his mind wander over his earlier conversation with Jack.

By the time he and the jackal had said their good nights, Jack had seemed in better spirits. While Sunkit was relieved by this, he was beginning to realize that he had focused so much on diffusing what had come up as a potentially awkward situation and to minimize the injury to his friend's feelings that the exact nature of what actually happened had not fully registered until now. He had handled it all so calmly at the time, but now that he had a chance to think about things, it was a bit terrifying. Jack... loves me? He thought with a bit of shock.

Sunkit sighed as he tried to get comfortable again. It just didn't make sense. As he went over the conversation again in his head, he tried to find some point of misunderstanding; but every time it led to the same conclusion: his friend was in love with him. The solid realization filled the otter with anxiety. He had told Jack things wouldn't be awkward, but what if it couldn't be helped? He really didn't want to lose his friend over something like this.

Sunkit closed his eyes as he thought back on all his conversations with the jackal and the times they'd been able to meet up and do things. He wondered how long Jack had been keeping his feelings to himself before finally saying something. There was no real point where Sunkit could see a change in his behavior. _Well, maybe a little after the first meeting... that long? _Jack always seemed happy to see him, was kind and was fun to be around. As he thought about his friend, Sunkit felt his anxiety start to drain away slowly and be replaced with a softer, hard to place feeling.

Maybe...

The otter blinked a bit at the stray thought. It was ridiculous. Of course there wasn't any room for maybes here. He was straight, wasn't he? It wouldn't work. It couldn't work. Yet, the small nagging thought stubbornly refused to leave completely. The harder he tried to push it away the more insistent it was for his attention. Sunkit groaned softly as he rolled over again. Maybe his imagination would be more reasonable after some sleep. After a few more fitful minutes the otter finally managed to drift off to a sound sleep.

As he slept, Sunkit's mind wandered through random scenes from his day, older memories and outright nonsense at first. Eventually his dreams settled on his memories of Jack, and there they seemed content to stay. He found himself sitting on one end of the couch in an apartment and Jack was at the other. In the back of his dreaming mind he recalled this was a memory from the first time he and the jackal spent the day together. Jack had just finished showing him around town and they were talking excitedly about everything that had happened. Sunkit could feel his dream muzzle smile as the jackal listened intently to him describe things about his own home town. It was all so comforting. Once again the warm feeling from his waking life began to seep into the memory.

"I love you..." Dream Jack said with a soft smile on his muzzle.

Sunkit paused in his explanation he remembered giving of a park he liked to visit. Something was out of place, but his dream muddled mind couldn't quite place it. "W-what?" He asked, unsure he had heard his friend correctly.

Dream Jack climbed up on his cushion and started moving closer to the confused otter. "I love you lots..." The jackal repeated with emphasis, all the while continuing to inch closer.

Sunkit found himself pressing himself back against the armrest, "But.."

"I love..." Dream Jack started.

"This isn't..." The otter protested.

"You..." The jackal continued.

"How it happened..." Sunkit finished.

"A lot" Dream Jack insisted.

Before he could protest anymore he found himself pinned under Dream Jack who continued to smile down at him. The distant corner of his mind aware enough to be aware this was a dream was amazed at how vividly he could feel the warmth and weight of the jackal's body pressing against his. He could feel that warm feeling that had infiltrated his dream wrap around him comfortingly as he found himself carried along the new direction the dream had taken, uncertain if he was unable to resist it or simply unwilling to do it. As Sunkit tried to think of what to say or do next, Dream Jack took the initiative and leaned his muzzle down lower and lower towards the pinned otter.

"Jack..." Sunkit started, unsure of whether it was meant as a protest or encouragement. He never got to find out for sure, as it was quickly cut off by the jackal's muzzle reaching his and the whole dream dissolved into that moment. He could feel it so clearly, the feel of Dream Jack's body against his, the warmth of his muzzle against his, he even felt the jackal's paws stroking his body gently as the world collapsed into that one kiss. Warmth, bliss and fear blended together to create euphoria for one moment. He wanted to stay in that one place as long as possible, never wanted it to end.

Sunkit blinked awake, still feeling Dream Jack against him like an after image as his waking mind tried to reassert itself. After a few moments he realized his alarm clock had gone off and ended the dream. Just as it was getting good, the otter sighed to himself drowsily. The thought brought him fully awake quickly. That's... not what I meant. Is it? The otter groaned softly and covered his face with his paws. Sleep hadn't made things any better at all. The dream was so realistic; he could almost still feel the jackal's muzzle against his. He stroked his muzzle absently as he wondered if that was how it would really feel. It was all so confusing. As the otter's focus expanded beyond his muzzle and he became aware of the rest of his body, Sunkit blushed and covered his face with his paws once again as he realized that under the covers, the dream left him completely hard, "That's not helping..." He told himself softly.

Throughout his day the dream stayed with him, stubbornly refusing to leave completely. When his mind wasn't replaying it, the warm feeling it had left him with occupied itself with wrapping itself around him like a cozy blanket. It all made the day pass surprisingly quickly, and before he knew it he was in front of his computer and signing into his messenger.

Sunkit felt his heart quicken a bit as he saw Jack was already on this time. He rubbed the back of his neck as he found himself getting strangely nervous. It was only Jack, but lately when he closed his eyes he could still see Dream Jack's muzzle moving towards his. He wasn't really sure he would be able to manage starting things off with a casual, friendly manner with that image so keenly in his mind. He almost sighed with relief when Jack went first.

*Heya ^^ How was your day?* Jack sent.

Sunkit bit his lip lightly as he considered how to answer this. After a few moments of deliberation he finally settled on an answer . *** Hello ^^ It was... good. A bit strange I guess. Long story. How about yours?***

After a few moments Jack's reply came in, *** Aww, well I hope it wasn't strange in a bad way. My day was good as well. Are we still on for this weekend?***

Sunkit tilted his head slightly as he read the jackal's post. This weekend? He wondered. As the otter checked the date on his computer he let out a small gasp. He had been so distracted by everything he had completely forgotten what the day was. This weekend he and Jack were supposed to spend time around town. It was the jackal's turn to visit him. He blushed as he imagined how it might go this time and shook his head in an attempt to clear it. It was possible the visit could be put off for later, but the timing might make Jack think it had to do with what he said. While his reasons for considering it were technically related...

Sunkit shook his head again, No I can't do that. We've been planning this for a while... and I promised him things wouldn't be awkward. I can't change my mind just because... I'm... The otter blushed, finding himself unable to finish the thought. *** Don't worry, it wasn't bad at all. ^^; This weekend should be fun.***

*I'm glad... I was worried.* The jackal responded.

Sunkit sighed and rubbed his face with a paw, trying to sort out the increasing number of confusing emotions filling him. Despite it all, he really did want to see Jack again. In his mind Dream Jack's muzzle crept closer to his own and the otter sighed softly again. It really couldn't be helped . *** It's still happening. I wouldn't change my mind about that, so don't worry! ^^***

As the conversation continued and plans were made, Sunkit could feel a giddy blend of uncertainty, nerves and excitement collect in his chest. He looked forward to the weekend meeting with Jack more than anything - and dreaded it equally. It was going to happen, though; he wouldn't have it any other way. He just hoped that being once again face to face with the jackal would help bring him clarity.

* * * * * * * * *

When the day of Jack's visit arrived, it dawned as a fairly normal day despite the collected hopes and anxieties pinned on it by both friends. It was a beautiful day to be sure, but lacked any choirs of angels or dark clouds on the horizon to give either jackal or otter a hint about what sort of things it held in store.

Jack reflected on the ordinary start of the day as he drove to meet Sunkit. After some debate he had decided to wear a black t-shirt and jeans for the visit; he really liked the way the black contrasted with his fur and somehow, despite the friendly nature of the day planned, he couldn't help but try and look his best. It was the first face to face meeting he was going to have with the otter since confessing his feelings and he had spent the whole time leading up to the day going over the possible ways things could go. He kept reassuring himself that it would go fine. Surely, if he had anything to worry about Sunkit would have called it off? Yet, he could not help play the scenarios where awkwardness won the day in his mind. They were usually countered by visions of a day where everything went right, just like the past times he and Sunkit met up. Memories of those past meetings filled the jackal with warmth and helped ease his fears; sometimes so much so that he dared daydream about a day where things went really well. Those usually just ended up making him blush and sigh softly as he wondered at why he couldn't suppress those kinds of thoughts a little better. It wasn't like they were possibilities. Still, a day with Sunkit was special to him regardless of how earth shaking or ordinary it was, and on this particular day the jackal found his foot paw unusually heavy on the accelerator as he drove. The record time that he managed to reach his destination resulted in him having to spend the first few minutes after arrival awkwardly explaining to the concerned Sunkit that he was safe the whole way... just speedy.

Sunkit had spent his morning preparing for Jack's arrival much the way he had on the previous times it had been the jackal's turn to visit. He double checked that his apartment was in order, went over his planned list of activities for the day and just generally waited anxiously for Jack to get there. Since this was a routine that he had been through a few times already, it had lost the edge of anxiety his first time playing host had had. But, as much as he told himself it was just like the other times it was the first time he would be seeing Jack since the jackal's confession. The otter's feelings had only become stranger in the days leading up to the visit, and Dream Jack seemed to be a common visitor to his daydreams. He suspected the dream jackal had made another official visit during the night since he woke up surrounded by the same warm feelings that accompanied his first dream. Sunkit was unsure of what exactly to expect from the day, but he profoundly hoped seeing Jack again would help settle the ever growing tangle of feelings he was experiencing. He found himself spending an unusual amount of time in front of the mirror gauging the effect of his choice of jean shorts and no shirt as an outfit for the day. Thanks to the blue fur that ran from his muzzle down to his belly, his natural fur coloring went with the shorts as well as any shirt could. Sunkit blushed despite his best efforts as he caught himself wondering how Jack would like it.

After making sure everything was in order for the day, he had counted on having time to prepare himself mentally to this end, which is why Jack's early arrival caught him off guard. He knew how driving times could vary depending on traffic, but the jackal had managed to shave off so much time he could almost imagine his arrival being followed by a sonic boom. The thought of Jack speeding through traffic to arrive early filled the otter with dread. Images of reckless driving and close calls quickly pushed his nervousness about the day aside and concern took over. Jack's reassurances about the safety of his trip were so insistent and sincere, however, he felt his fears quickly soothed - leaving him with the fact that not only was Jack there, he clearly worked at trying to arrive earlier than usual. Sunkit hoped the jackal didn't notice the blush that resulted as he considered the meaning of his early arrival.

Despite the concerns of both otter and jackal, the day's activities got off to a good start as respective anxieties were forgotten and both were quickly reminded how easy it was to relax around each other.

The first thing they had planned was to see a new movie that interested both of them. Luckily, Jack's early arrival time had proved fortunate in sticking with this plan. As they checked available show times they found one that showed earlier in the day than they had originally planned.

The movie itself turned out to be mediocre, but as he sat next to Sunkit in a mostly empty theater, Jack felt there was no better way to spend an afternoon. Every time the otter would whisper to him about a plot hole or moment of awkward acting Jack felt his heart race. He constantly had to remind himself he was there with Sunkit as a friend, but even that could not dull his enjoyment of the moment; and it could have just been a trick of the dim lighting cast by the movie screen but he thought he saw the otter blush a few times as they talked.

Jack swished his tail anxiously against the empty seat next to him as he yearned to put his arm around Sunkit and draw him closer. He had a moment where he wished he was the sort of guy to act on such an impulse and worry about consequences later, but as he reminded himself that the consequence could be upsetting the otter the moment quickly passed. He sighed to himself and compromised between his cautious and impulsive sides by moving his paw over and placing it on Sunkit's, in what he hoped was a casual manner. To his surprise, the otter's paw wasn't drawn away, though there was a moment he thought he could feel Sunkit tense up a bit before relaxing again. Jack felt his face grow warm as he wondered if there was any significance in that. Suddenly too self-conscious to do anything more with the paw but not wanting to break the contact either, the jackal contented himself with letting it remain where it was as long as possible.

As the lights finally started to come up, Jack pulled back his paw with a quiet sigh. He thought he caught Sunkit giving his own paw a strange look from the corner of his eye but as he turned to his friend he wondered if it was just his imagination as he saw the otter still relaxing in his seat. "That movie was something, wasn't it?" Jack offered.

"Yeah... the previews made it look a lot better than it was." The otter said with a laugh. "But... I still had fun. I'm just glad I saw it with you instead of alone or with someone who would have been quiet through the whole thing."

Jack smiled and tried his best not to blush, "Well, even a bad movie can be fun with the right company..." The jackal perked his ears as he pretended to be intensely interested in his ticket stub, hoping he wasn't laying it on too thick.

Sunkit nodded and smiled as he directed his attention to the credits still playing on the screen, "Indeed..." In truth, the otter had quickly lost track of the movie's plot the moment he felt Jack's paw rest on his own. His first impulse was to pull it away, but something had held him back, and after the initial shock had worn off he found that the jackal's paw was strangely comfortable there. He sighed softly to himself as he absently read the names of actors he knew should have done better. Though, if they had done better Jack and I wouldn't have had anything to talk about during the movie... He thought to himself. Despite the implications, he couldn't fight the growing thought that perhaps bad movies had a place in the world after all.

.Since the movie ended around the perfect time for lunch, Jack and Sunkit searched the area around the mall the movie theater was located in and spotted an Olive Garden across the street and agreed it would make a good place to eat. As it turned out, the restaurant was not particularly busy, so when Jack requested a booth rather than a table, one located in a quiet spot in the restaurant was easily found for them.

After the movie theater, Sunkit found it strangely difficult to think of a good topic for small talk as he sat across the table from Jack. His thoughts were hard to pin down and tended to wander down strange paths he tried hard to divert them from. The lighting in the restaurant was definitely good enough for a blush to be visible, and he just knew that letting his thoughts go where they wanted might produce one. Thankfully, Jack seemed content on keeping the conversation going whenever it hit a lull. He wasn't sure if it was just his imagination, but Sunkit thought his food somehow tasted better than he remembered it usually being when he went to similar restaurants; and from what he could tell, Jack was equally content with his. As the otter reflected on this, he sighed contently as he realized he had a moment to try and calm and collect his thoughts after the theater.

Just as Sunkit was starting to decide things had turned out perfectly, the waitress dropped of the check on her way to greet other customers. The otter blinked as he stared at the single bill and mentally replayed the events when he and Jack entered the restaurant and were seated. Normally, when he and Jack went someplace for food during one of their visits they would request things be split, but Sunkit realized he had been so distracted when they walked in that it had slipped his mind; by the look on Jack's face, he realized the same must have occurred with him.

As the waitress returned to check on things, the jackal smoothly collected the check without missing a beat and slipped his card in the wallet it came in and sent it on its way before Sunkit could object.

"Jack..." Sunkit protested as he watched the bill get carried off, "We could have asked them to split it still."

Jack smiled and shook his head, "It's alright. It would just have made more work for them. Think of it as my way of saying thanks for being a great friend..."

"B-but you're visiting me here, if we weren't going to split it I should have been the one to pick it up." Sunkit insisted.

The jackal smiled more broadly and shook his head, "No, I insist. I've had a great time so far and I really want to do this. And if it makes you feel better, you can treat me to food when it's your turn to visit."

Sunkit blushed despite himself and looked down at his paws hoping it would help make it less noticeable, "I think that seems backwards... but... thanks."

If Jack noticed the otter's blush, he didn't let on and instead focused on finishing what was left of his food, though his tail thumped against his seat slightly as if telegraphing his contentment.

After finishing at the restaurant, the remainder of the afternoon was spent wandering around the mall looking at the various things there. Thanks to Jack's early arrival things were a bit ahead of schedule, and it seemed like a good way to fill the time. As far as Jack was concerned, he would have been content wandering in the desert, in the middle of the summer, if Sunkit was there with him - and the mall was air-conditioned. Also, this particular mall was a recent addition and had several shops he had not seen before. The jackal seized on the novelty these places provided as a means to keep a conversation going. Unlike most malls Jack had visited, along with the obligatory Hot Topic and Cinnabon that every mall seemed to have this one had several shops that seemed to be locally owned and catered to specialty interests. There was a shop specializing in tabletop and pen and paper gaming, a small bookstore, a shop selling rare video games, a cutlery and replica sword shop, and removed from the others a shop with tinted windows and signs promising more exotic wares. Sunkit seemed a bit distracted as they walked around the shops, and every time the conversation began to lag Jack would pick something from their surroundings to rekindle it. From what Jack could tell, the otter seemed relieved when he didn't allow things to lapse into silence and keeping Sunkit talking reassured him that the distraction was not due to anything he did wrong. Jack wanted desperately to ask him about it, but decided the otter would talk to him about it when he was ready. Until then, Jack contented himself with keeping his friend occupied with small talk.

As they finally made their way to the shop at the end of the mall, Jack paused as he looked at the display in the window in mild disbelief. As Sunkit came up beside Jack to see what made him stop he let out a quiet 'oh' as he saw that arranged neatly by size and color was an assortment of collars and straps. As the nature of what he was looking at sank it, he wondered how something like this could be in a mall with so many other more mundane things, until he realized there was no depiction of their use in view and this particular mall had already shown itself to enjoy unconventional tenants.

Looking over at Jack, Sunkit thought the jackal may have been blushing a bit, and certainly seemed to be debating on moving to a different store. They had gone in to almost every one to this point, regardless of what it sold, but it appeared Jack was ready to make an exception with this one. Unlike many of the furs who passed the store by each day, Sunkit had some idea what the intended purposes for the devices in the window were, and judging from the expression on Jack's face it was obvious he did as well. He idly wondered what it would be like to experience those things, and in an unguarded moment Dream Jack demonstrated, making the otter quickly turn away from the window and try to focus on something else entirely. It made him glad Jack didn't seem to want to go in there. At least, it seemed that way until the jackal proved more determined to see the plan of exploration through by taking a few deep breaths to steel his nerves and opening the door and heading through. Sunkit let out a quiet 'eep' as he followed Jack through the door, determined not to make his friend go into the place alone.

The inside of the shop was surprisingly normal considering the wares it sold. With racks of straps, odd restraining body wear and displays featuring collars, it could have perhaps passed for a Hot Topic with a greater than usual bondage fixation. There were no lurid displays explaining how anything was meant to be used and it appeared the shop's selection of more obvious sex toys were kept in a secluded spot near the back. It was as normal and tame as a place like it could be, anyway.

As tame as the shop appeared on the surface, however, for anyone who didn't need explanation for the inventory it was a daunting sight and Jack had to fight an even stronger urge to back out of the store before he was noticed. He blushed a bit as he realized he had drawn Sunkit in with him by deciding to push on; having him there was definitely not making it any easier for the jackal to keep his cool. As he looked over the displays his imagination ran wild, and he had to remind himself sternly that he needed to keep such thoughts under control - Sunkit was a dear friend. As he looked over at Sunkit, suddenly urgently wanting to check on his friend's reaction to the place, he found that the otter was blushing as much as he was and was standing a bit closer than before.

It wasn't long before their presence attracted the attention of the fur tending the shop, a weasel with dyed fur and prominent piercings. He would have been at home behind the counter at any Hot Topic or similar store, making Jack further wonder if the place had purposely modeled itself that way. As the weasel sized them up, it was clear he was used to new customers being skittish and was preparing some well-practiced technique to get them to stay.

"Welcome," the weasel started cheerfully. "Looking for anything in particular today?"

"Um... well... we were just... er... looking." Jack replied, suddenly knowing what a deer looking in headlights must feel like. So much for leaving before being noticed. The jackal thought with a sigh.

"Hmm... I see. Have you ever been here..." the weasel paused as he further gauged his customers, "Or someplace similar before?"

"No... not really." Jack admitted.

The weasel turned his attention to Sunkit who had taken to casually hiding himself behind Jack as the shop keeper started his pitch. "Me neither..." The otter said quietly.

The shop keeper smiled and nodded as he gave the scene in front of him a further appraisal, "Ah, well I know it can be really intimidating but there's no reason to be put off by it. As a matter of fact, I think I know the perfect thing to get you started off..."

"Wha-?" Jack started in confusion, but the weasel had vanished somewhere deeper into the shop before his question had a chance to escape his muzzle. He looked at Sunkit, who mirrored his confusion and both shrugged a bit in silent agreement about the situation.

Whether it was to avoid being rude or out of mutual curiosity about what the weasel had run off to get, neither otter or jackal made any move to leave the shop and waited for his return patiently. They did not have long to wait, as after a few minutes he returned carrying what he was planning to pitch. When Jack saw the collar and leash the weasel was carrying he blinked in confusion as he tried to figure out how the shopkeeper was going to suggest they be used.

"Here we are..." The weasel walked over to Sunkit and started to place the collar around his neck. The otter seemed too shocked to resist or protest. "Ah, good. I judged your size correctly. Perfect fit. Now, I know it might seem like a lot if you haven't tried this before, but I think once you have a moment to think it over you'll know I'm right." As he finished his sales pitch, the weasel placed the end of the leash in Jack's paw and nodded a bit as he took in the effect.

Jack followed the leash with his gaze from his paw to the collar around Sunkit's neck and blushed deeply. The otter seemed to be mirroring his reaction, blush and all as they looked at each other quietly for what seemed like an eternity.

"Well, I'll leave you two to think about it." The weasel said with a smile. "I'll be back at the counter if you like what you see."

"Jack..." Sunkit said softly as he stood still, as if afraid to move from his spot.

"It... looks good on you." Jack replied, feeling the warmth in his face stubbornly stay put.

"Y-you do know what this stuff... is for... right?" Sunkit asked as he self-consciously ran a paw over the leather band around his neck.

"Well... yeah... but lots of furs wear collars as a fashion statement too. This is like what they wear around... just a little more authentic." Jack replied as he rubbed the back of his neck with his free paw. He really did like how it looked on Sunkit. The collar was clearly designed to be fashionable as well as practical; but it was the practical uses that made the jackal's imagination and heart race. "M-matter of fact, I'm getting it for you."

"What? Jack, why would I... need a collar?" Sunkit asked, suddenly seeming even more rooted in place than before.

"Well, the only reason you're in here is because I dragged you here... without thinking, mind you." The jackal replied, adding the last part on there to try and alleviate the growing shyness as he began to realize how crazy his offer just sounded. "If nothing else it'll be a reminder of the time your friend made you go into a bondage shop and you got a collar put on you by the guy who runs the place." Jack smiled softly, hoping his rationale made sense.

Sunkit ran a paw along the spot where the leash connected to the collar as he seemed to contemplate Jack's offer. Finally he nodded softly and gave the jackal a shy smile, "Okay... I guess that would make a good story. T-thanks Jack..."

Jack smiled and sighed a bit as the warmth in his face was joined by the return of the warmth the otter always brought to his chest. Just a friend... just a friend... He reminded himself. "Great... um... let's go over to the counter then. We don't want to keep the nice weasel waiting..."

"Um... Jack...?" Sunkit started quietly. "The leash..."

Jack blinked and looked at his paw, suddenly realizing he was still holding the leash. He handed the end of the leash to the otter and smiled apologetically. Sunkit blushed as he took the end of the leash and studied it intently in his paw, but didn't seem upset about Jack having held on to it for so long. The jackal sighed softly as he led his friend over to the counter where the shopkeeper had been waiting patiently the entire time. He may not get to try out its practical uses, he considered as he watched Sunkit remove the collar so it could be checked out, but he had to admit that the way it looked on the otter made his heart race all the same.

As they exited the shop, Sunkit looked down at the bag he carried in his paws. Its discrete appearance gave no hint of what it contained, but the otter felt his face warm as he realized he had let Jack get him a collar, even if the jackal had claimed it would make a good story later. Just the thought of what sorts of things the collar was intended for gave rise to further demonstrations by Dream Jack in his head. These daydreams were made all the more vivid by the presence of the real Jack next to him. When the jackal finally said something he almost yelped as it pulled him from his daydream.

"So, where should we go next?" Jack asked as he looked around thoughtfully. Having left the shop, he seemed to have recovered from the shyness that had gripped him inside, and it had been replaced with a pronounced cheerfulness.

Sunkit continued to look down at the bag as he thought about Jack's question. There were several places in town they could go to next, or they could even see if there was any place in the mall they hadn't explored yet. He could sense as all the thoughts and feelings that had been growing in him over the last few days seemed to start snowballing together as he thought about everything that had happened so far that day. There was really only one place he wanted to go next; he just wondered if he could bring himself to suggest it. He took a deep breath and sighed quietly to calm himself, "R-remember when I first visited? I told you about a park in town. We should go there."

Jack perked his ears and looked over at the otter and smiled, "Oh yeah, I remember you telling me about that place. Sounded nice. I bet it'd be the perfect place to relax after our exploring."

Sunkit could only nod quietly as he followed Jack to the mall exit, wondering if his friend could tell how much he was blushing. Well... I hope I know what I'm doing, he thought to himself. He wasn't sure if the daydreams that filled his head were a confirmation of that or not, but at least he was sure to find out soon enough.

The park was a patch of land seemingly engineered to be as picturesque as possible. Abundant shady trees dotted a green, grassy landscape, and several paths for walking wove through various parts of the park; all of which lead back to a central path that circled a small, serene lake whose regular shape indicated it was probably constructed to enhance the scenery, not a natural feature. The effect was breathtaking and made it a perfect place to come and relax; and judging by the number of furs still at the park even though it was getting later in the day, it was clear that it attracted a lot of visitors for that purpose.

"Oh, wow..." Jack said softly as he got out of the car and took in the scenery. "It's beautiful. I wasn't expecting it to be this nice... I mean it's exactly like you described it but my mental image was lacking."

Sunkit smiled at Jack's reaction and nodded, "I'm glad you like it. I like coming here when I need to relax, or to think."

Jack nodded a bit as he continued to admire the park, "I can see why. This is amazing. I'm glad you suggested coming here."

Sunkit smiled and blushed a bit as he followed Jack into the park. The otter looked down at the bag he still carried from the mall. Jack hadn't asked why he was still holding it rather than just leave it in the car, and Sunkit suspected he was too distracted by the park's scenery for the bag's presence to fully register; he wasn't even fully sure why he had it. All he knew was that it was too late to leave it behind, and somehow it felt... right... that it be with him still.

After taking a few moments to debate which trail to take, they settled on one that led down a shaded path before eventually leading back to the main trail that circled the lake. As they walked, they alternated between talking about random topics as well as things that happened over the course of the day, and admiring their surroundings in comfortable silence.

It was during several of these silent moments that Sunkit thought he noticed Jack paying more attention to him than the trees and grass. It was hard to be sure if this was true or just his imagination. Each time he turned his attention towards Jack to confirm his suspicions, the jackal was intently admiring some tree or bush as if it was the most interesting thing in the world. Each time this happened though, Jack was wearing a more pronounced blush. It was doubtful that it was the foliage the jackal was so enamored with, so as Jack's blush deepened Sunkit felt his own face start to warm. He told himself that he should object to the jackal's attentions, but the only thing that welled up in response was the same warm feeling that had been following him all day; so when Jack suddenly grabbed his free paw the otter didn't resist it, surprising himself. After walking like this for a few steps, the jackal released his paw and smiled shyly but did not comment on Sunkit's lack of resistance.

As the trail left the trees, Jack and Sunkit followed it around the lake, both of them staring thoughtfully at how the gentle breeze created small ripples on its otherwise calm surface. Every now and then, one or the other would bring up some topic of small talk as if to reassure themselves the silence that had fallen on them was not imposed by awkwardness.

Sunkit was not sure how many times they walked around the small lake, but as the sun began to draw low to the horizon he spotted an empty park bench and led Jack over, the otter settling on one end and the jackal on the other. Sunkit felt the warmth in his chest twin with a sudden burst of anxiety he could feel in the pit of his stomach as he realized how similar this was to his reoccurring dream.

As he looked over at Jack sitting at the other side of the bench, all he could think of was all the times he found himself in this same situation with Dream Jack. Would it feel the same if the same things happened? He wondered as he unconsciously rubbed his muzzle. Jack eventually turned his attention to the silent otter, and Sunkit almost expected him to launch into the same professions Dream Jack would have. All he got was a shy smile and a possibly involuntary tail wag that most likely indicated Jack was at least thinking those things. Of course he wouldn't do that, Sunkit thought. Jack wouldn't want to upset me with that sort of thing... He was surprised to realize he was not only half expecting it to happen, he had actually wanted it to. The realization shocked him, but as he stared down at the mall bag resting on the ground between his feet he knew it was true. I must be crazy... He started to think, but as he turned his attention back to Jack he felt the rest of the thought fade away. Sunkit took a deep breath and sighed softly. It had been a long day, and it had helped him sort things out, just not in the way he was expecting.

"Jack...?" Sunkit asked quietly.

"Yeah, what is it Sunkit?" The jackal responded curiously, perking his ears as he focused his full attention on his friend.

"Remember... what you said online? A few days ago? How you... l-loved me?" Sunkit continued as he gazed down at his paws.

Jack seemed to freeze in place, a blush spreading across his muzzle as he suddenly felt cornered on the park bench, uncertain of what to expect next. "Oh... um... yeah, I remember..." He said finally.

As Sunkit looked back towards the jackal he could see the shyness and anxiety written on his face. "Well...I... I think you should try it again..."

Jack blinked as he thought about what he was just told, making sure he heard it correctly. "R-really? Oh... oh! Okay...." Jack blushed as he realized he wasn't off to the best of starts but took a deep breath and took one of the otter's paws into his and continued. "I love you..." He said, smiling shyly and wagging his tail a bit as he felt his courage grow. "I loved you a few days ago and I think I love you even more now after spending another day with you. I think if we spend another one together I'll feel even more strongly after that too. You're an amazing and cute otter and I'm lucky to even know you."

Sunkit blushed deeper as he listened to what Jack had to say, felt how the jackal held his paw when he said it, he could feel as his lingering doubts drained away with each moment. "I love you too..." The otter said, returning Jack's smile.

Jack appeared as if he might fall over for a moment, but quickly recovered and started to wag his tail wildly and scooted closer on the bench until he was right next to Sunkit. He appeared to search for an adequate thing to say in response to Sunkit's reply but finally settled on gently stroking the otter's muzzle as he drew his own nearer. Sunkit let out a quiet gasp as in that moment Dream Jack and real Jack became one in his mind and their muzzles came together in their first shared kiss. Sunkit almost giggled as he realized that despite his worries about what it would really be like, the real Jack gave better kisses than his dream counterpart - though that would probably be fixed now - prompting the jackal to give a questioning look after they parted muzzles. Sunkit reassured him by starting a second kiss by drawing Jack's muzzle back to his. If anyone had walked by during any of this, both otter and jackal were completely oblivious to it, as the world for both of them contracted down to each other and the park bench they shared.

As the sun began to fall below the horizon and the air began to cool, Jack snuggled Sunkit tightly against him and gently rested his muzzle between the otter's ears. Most of the other park-goers had left and the only sounds were the tentative chirps of crickets and the periodic thumps of Jack's tail against the park bench as it telegraphed his contentment. Sunkit considered the thought that he should be worried about staying in a park after dark, but somehow having Jack there holding him made him feel safe.

Sunkit nuzzled up at Jack and murred contently as he let the warmth of the embrace sink into him. The more he thought about it, the more sure he was that things had worked out perfectly. After days of uncertainty the new sense of relief made the jackal's snuggles feel all the better. As he ran a foot along the ground slowly, Sunkit suddenly remembered the bag at his feet. He buried his muzzle in Jack's chest and blushed as he considered the contents. Should I show Jack? He wondered. Could I? But as he felt how the jackal held him tenderly and protectively, he realized Jack had already chosen his place in things, helping calm his anxiety about mentioning the bag.

"Jack?" Sunkit asked quietly.

"Hrm?" The jackal responded, almost dreamily.

"Remember that last shop in the mall?" Sunkit continued.

"Oh, yeah... I do. Heh, what about it?" Jack replied, giving the otter a gentle squeeze.

"Well..." Sunkit loosened himself from Jack's embrace just enough to retrieve the bag from the ground and produced the leash and collar the jackal had gotten him.

Jack blushed as he realized what the otter was suggesting, "A-are you sure?"

Sunkit nodded and felt his own face warm. He offered the collar to Jack again and gave the jackal a little kiss on the cheek to reassure him he was serious.

Jack almost seemed to melt from the kiss on the cheek, but recovered enough to take the collar and placed it on Sunkit's neck, holding his breath as he did. He let out a quiet sigh and smiled once it was in place, "I-it's like I said before... it looks really good on you. Very stylish... I mean, you're a really cute otter so anything would look good on you but..." He paused as Sunkit placed the end of the leash in his paws, quickly forgetting where his rambling compliment was meant to end. All the jackal could do was smile and blush as he followed the leash from his paws to the collar on Sunkit's neck. Finding himself at a complete loss for words, he settled on gently using the leash to draw the otter in for another kiss, and quickly realized there was nothing else he needed to say in that moment.

* * * * * * * * * *

Jack barely remembered the drive back to Sunkit's apartment. All he could recall was how hard it was to keep his paws off of the otter and a lot of speed. The moment the door to the apartment closed Jack found himself once again muzzle locked with Sunkit, and it made him want to melt as much as the first time did. It never seemed to get old. He still held the end of the leash tightly in one of his paws; it was a strangely comforting physical reminder of the reality of what was happening. There was still some part of him afraid that if he let go of it Sunkit might disappear into a dream and he'd wake up at home. So, Jack held both leash and otter tightly as they embraced in the doorway and gradually he felt those concerns fade away.

Jack continued to hold on to Sunkit as they made their way through the otter's apartment, not minding the way it forced them to move slower. Despite the hurry he felt on the drive over, now that he was there he was content to take his time and bask in the warmth of the moment. Before long, he felt something bump his legs as backed up and fell; suddenly finding himself sprawled on Sunkit's bed. He blushed as he realized he had taken the otter down with him in his embrace. He hadn't noticed that they had made their way into the bedroom until that moment, and as he stared up at Sunkit, who had taken advantage of his position to snuggle into the jackal's chest, he felt words fail him once again. "Hi there." He said quietly. "Comfortable?"

Sunkit giggled and nodded as he continued snuggling. He had considered warning Jack about the impending bed but was curious how he would respond to suddenly discovering it. He hadn't expected the jackal to fall over, but he wasn't going to complain about the results. Sunkit gazed down at Jack as he snuggled tighter into his chest and smiled as he felt the jackal's tail thump against the bed in response. He considered the situation he found himself in and blushed as he realized it wasn't long ago he would have found the idea farfetched. "S-so, now that you've got me, what do you want to do...?" He asked quietly, causing the jackal to suddenly mirror his blush as he considered the question.

"Well... I... I'd really like it if you... nuzzled my foot paws." Jack looked to the ceiling as he felt his muzzle warm further, "And lap at them..." He gave Sunkit a squeeze as he waited for his response.

"O-okay, Jack..." Sunkit finally replied as he sat up and slowly moved towards the jackal's foot paws. Out of all the possible responses his question could have gotten, he wasn't quite expecting this one; though it made sense as he thought about it. Jack had mentioned he liked that sort of thing previously, and so did he for that matter. This was just the first time those two thoughts had found themselves joined together in the same situation. As he moved closer to Jack's paws, he wasn't quite sure what to expect from it.

Sunkit settled himself between the jackal's paws at the end of the bed and picked one of them up and gently rubbed it, earning a happy but shy murr and more tail thumping from Jack. He sighed and smiled at the response to his rubbing and lifted the foot paw to his muzzle and leaned forward and nuzzled at one of its paw pads. Sunkit could hear as Jack let out a happy gasp and his tail started thumping harder; it was clear he was enjoying what was happening so far. Feeling emboldened by the jackal's approval, Sunkit started to lap at the paw. At first he was uncertain what it would be like lapping at a paw Jack had been walking around on all day, but as his tongue made its first caresses he found it to be surprisingly enjoyable; the feel of the jackal's paw pad on his tongue, the way his keen otter nose filled with Jack's scent, and the way each lick drew out a happy murr from his companion all came together to make it even better than he'd have imagined. Jack also seemed to be pleasantly surprised with how his request was turning out, and with each lick Sunkit noticed his murrs becoming less shy and more enthusiastic. The otter giggled and murred and pressed his muzzle more firmly against the jackal paw as he continued to treat it to careful laps, drawing out what sounded like an outright moan from its owner.

Jack gazed down the bed at Sunkit as his paw was treated to the slurps and nuzzles he had asked for - better than he had asked for, he corrected himself. At first he had covered his face with his paws and watched through the spaces between his fingers, but as things got started he began to feel his shyness fade away. Each lap to his paw sent a surge of pleasure through his body and it wasn't long before he felt his pants tent with his arousal. Maybe it was how turned on he was getting, maybe it was the sight of what Sunkit was doing with his paw, but in the dim light of the bedroom Jack was certain the otter had never looked sexier.

As he began to relax, Jack gradually pressed his foot paw against the otter's muzzle more firmly and Sunkit responded by rubbing his muzzle against the jackal's paw pads and slurping at his toes. Jack gasped and thumped his tail faster as he continued to watch and raised his other foot paw and started to rub it against Sunkit's exposed belly fur, sending shivers through the otter's body. He smiled as he noticed the reaction this got and continued to rub his paw along Sunkit's velvety blue belly fur, enjoying the feel of it against his paw. Jack hadn't realized just how soft otter fur was until then. As he enjoyed the way Sunkit treated his one paw with licks and nuzzles, he also enjoyed rubbing his other foot paw over his belly and sides in return, watching as the otter quivered and murred as he managed to find a sensitive or ticklish spot on his body. He tried not to linger on these too long as it usually resulted in Sunkit finding a similar spot on the jackal's paw and teasing it until he moved on, though Jack wasn't certain if that was actually meant as a deterrent or an enticement to keep looking for those places.

As this went on, Jack could feel his confidence building and he let his foot paw roam more boldly over his companion, until he finally let it trail lower and nudge at the crotch of the otter's jean shorts and almost causing him to jump from the sudden contact there. The jackal blushed as he realized Sunkit was as turned on as he was. Instead of withdrawing his foot paw, he continued to rub it against the stiffness he felt beneath the fabric and thumped his tail as the otter's murrs became happy moans. Finally, Jack gently withdrew his paws from Sunkit's muzzle and crotch and used the leash still attached to his collar to coax him forward again until the otter was sitting at his stomach.

"That was amazing..." Jack said as he smiled and reached forward and let his paws roam over the otter's belly and sides. The fur there really was as soft as it felt against his foot and he enjoyed the continued contact with it. "It felt better than I was even expecting..."

"I-I'm glad you liked it so much." Sunkit replied, blushing as he felt the jackal's paws roam towards the waist of his shorts. "I... really enjoyed doing it. I don't know who had more fun though..." Sunkit paused and looked down as he felt Jack start to undo his shorts and felt himself become very still as he turned his attention back to the jackal's face and saw the soft smile he wore. The shyness and hesitation that filled Jack earlier seemed to have left and all that remained was certainty.

"I love you..." Jack said softly as he managed to free the otter's fully hard member from the front of his shorts and started to rub it with his paws. "You are the most amazing otter..." He continued.

Sunkit closed his eyes and murred softly as he tried to focus on the praises he was getting, but the pleasure Jack was giving at the same time was making it hard to concentrate. He was able to get the general idea though, and it made his face and heart grow warm as he thought about it. Before long, the jackal's treatment of his member changed Sunkit's murrs into soft moans and every stroke sent his whole body quivering. Just as he began to think that Jack intended to make him cum right then and there the paws withdrew.

The sudden stop to the stroking almost made Sunkit fall back in surprise as the stimulation that was steadily increasing the tension in his body was removed. He opened his eyes and looked at Jack, wearing an expression partially curious about the change and partially pleading for the paws to return. Jack thumped his tail on the bed in response and pulled his shirt off and tossed it aside and exposing his own chest fur to the otter.

"Sorry... you're so responsive." Jack said with a grin. "But, it's not quite time for that yet; I have a better idea." Before Sunkit could think of a response, Jack rolled and flipped positions with the otter and smiled down at him as he wagged his tail.

Sunkit blinked as he found himself suddenly staring up at Jack and felt as the jackal playfully pinned him. It wasn't an unpleasant position to find himself in, but a bit startling in how quickly it was sprung on him. "Jack..." The otter started.

Jack gently silenced him by placing a finger at the tip of Sunkit's muzzle and grinned a bit. "The collar really does look good on you..." He said softly as he adjusted it with his free paw. "And with its leash, it makes you my otter. You should call me master right now..." Jack lowered his muzzle till he touched noses with Sunkit, "And you'll be my pet." He gave the otter's nose a little slurp as he waited for his response.

Sunkit blushed as he stared up at Jack. All the shyness and hesitation from earlier had definitely vanished and was replaced by a strange confidence. He wriggled a bit under the jackal and found that he really did have him decently pinned. He knew Jack wouldn't hurt him, but that didn't stop him from taking the opportunity to remove some of his control from the situation. As he considered how to respond, he realized it was strangely exhilarating to have the jackal take charge like that. Sunkit smiled up at Jack shyly, "Okay... m-master..."

Jack tail-wagged and unpinned the otter long enough to tug his shorts the rest of the way off and slip from his own jeans and kick them aside. "Much better..." He said with a grin as he re-pinned Sunkit and moved himself up so he straddled the otter's chest.

Sunkit blushed as he saw how hard Jack's member was, and so close to his muzzle. He looked up at the jackal who was smiling down at him expectantly.

Jack thumped his tail gently and grinned, "You've probably already guessed, but how about if you be a good pet and help me out with my little 'problem' a bit." He nodded down at his member a bit as emphasis as he said the last part.

Sunkit continued to gaze at the hard jackal member being presented to him and licked his muzzle a bit; it was fully hard and already starting to leak pre onto his chest fur, showing just how turned on by the situation Jack was. With it so close to his muzzle he could smell the jackal's arousal; there was really only one way to respond. "Okay master..." He replied quietly.

Sunkit tentatively leaned forward and licked at the pre dripping from the tip of the jackal cock, earning him an encouraging pet and a soft murr from Jack. The taste on his tongue and the jackal's approval went straight to his head and before he knew it he leaned his head forward and took the rest of Jack's member into his muzzle and started to suck and stroke his tongue along its length. He could hear a sharp intake of breath as his quickness of his developing enthusiasm caught his companion by surprise.

"T-that's a good pet... you're doing really well." Jack panted as he continued to pet the otter's head with one of his paws.

Sunkit murred happily at the praise and started to bob his muzzle a bit, but Jack held his head steady with a paw, confusing him at first until the jackal started to buck his hips slowly and gradually pick up speed until it became an enthusiastic muzzle humping. Since he was unable to move his head much due to Jack's steadying paws, Sunkit continued to suckle and do what he could with his tongue and the rapidly growing taste of pre that filled his mouth showed him just how effective it was. He blushed despite himself as he wondered if this would keep going until Jack cummed in his muzzle.

The otter didn't have to wait long to discover the answer. Just as the sound of Jack's moans and pants became their most passionate, Sunkit suddenly felt the now throbbing jackal member pulled back from his muzzle. As he blinked in confusion and looked up at Jack, he guessed by the expression on the jackal's face and the way he was biting his lip in concentration that he had pulled back when he was very close and was trying hard not to cum. Sunkit entertained the idea of leaning forward a bit more and trying to see if a few licks would finish him off, but decided against it; Jack most likely had a reason for holding back, and he was the master, so it would be best just to wait and find out what that was.

Jack panted and smiled as he finally managed to calm down enough to ensure he could move around without losing control and cumming. He leaned down and kissed the confused otter deeply and murred as he tasted his own pre still in his muzzle. While he had no doubt he would have been ready again shortly if he mistimed pulling back, he hoped denying himself would make things more intense later. It was close though, just a moment longer and he would be starting over with that. As he broke the kiss and sat up, he wagged his tail and pet Sunkit's ears, "You make an amazing pet..." He reached behind him and felt at the otter's member and murred as he found it was still hard and had continued to leak pre during the muzzle humping. "I'm glad you enjoyed that too... it's too bad I can't have you pinned while we try other things too."

Sunkit nodded and smiled a bit, "I think so to... master." He blushed as he heard himself refer to Jack that way. He had to admit that letting the jackal take control somehow enhanced things for him, and it was obvious Jack was enjoying domming him in return.

Sunkit looked up at the jackal as he glanced around the room curiously as if searching for something and wondered what he had in mind next. Finally, Jack smiled and wagged his tail as he spotted something and looked down at the otter.

"I'll be right back...don't go anywhere." The jackal said cheerfully and gave Sunkit a little lick on the nose before hopping off the bed and going elsewhere into the dimly lit room.

The otter nodded as he watched Jack go. He was certain he didn't have any plans to get up and go anywhere, and even if he did the mystery of what Jack had in mind would have probably been enough to keep him where he was. In just a few moments later, Jack playfully pounced back on the bed and re-pinned the otter who gasped and giggled with surprise at the suddenness and enthusiasm of the jackal's return.

Sunkit noticed what Jack carried in his paws and blinked in confusion as he tried to make sense of it, "Ja- um... master... why did you unplug my alarm clock? I-I'm going to need that in the morning..."

Jack grinned and gently teased the otter's leash with his free paw, "Oh, you won't need it for waking up. You're spending tomorrow with me again, and I'll make sure you're awake in time to make any arrangements... in the mean time I have a much, much better use for it. I think you'll like this use better too."

Sunkit listened intently as Jack made plans for tomorrow too. It wasn't part of the original plan for things and he wasn't sure if the jackal was bluffing about spending the next day with him as well, but the more he thought about it, the more the idea appealed to him. Surely putting everything else on hold just one day wouldn't hurt, he considered. It wasn't the sort of thing he did often. That just left Jack's re-purposing of the alarm clock to work out.

Jack lifted the otter's paws above his head and Sunkit obediently allowed the jackal to position them, putting up no resistance as he waited to find out what he had in mind. Sunkit gasped in surprise as Jack used the alarm clock cord to tie up his paws and then fasten them to the bed's headboard; watching as it went from timepiece to bondage device in a matter of moments.

Jack grinned and wagged his tail as he answered the otter's implied question, "Now I can have you restrained and we can try a different position..."

Sunkit blushed as he tested his new restraints; they were surprisingly secure but not uncomfortable. He realized they may have been improvised, but they removed his ability to control the situation in a very real way. If he didn't trust Jack that would have been cause for concern, but as he stared up at the jackal he knew Jack would never hurt him and that trust made the surrender of control exciting. Sunkit blushed deeper and wagged his rudder, "W-what are you going to do with me... master? Now that you have me... tied up so securely?"

The jackal continued to grin as he moved down Sunkit's body until he was sitting between his legs. Jack murred as he noticed the otter's member was still fully hard and gave it a gentle tease with his paw, watching as it made his companion's body quiver. "Well, now that I have you right where I want you, I'm going to give us both some relief." The jackal said with a soft murr.

Without giving the otter a chance to respond further, Jack backed up further and leaned his muzzle down until it poked under Sunkit's rudder and gently slurped, making the surprised otter gasp and squirm. After a few moments, the jackal withdrew his muzzle, and Sunkit blushed at the wet, slick sensation it left behind.

Jack smiled and tail-wagged as he sat up and moved forward, this time wrapping the otter's legs around his waist and pressing the tip of his member into the newly slicked area under his tail. "I... just wanted to make sure this next part has no problems." The jackal said with a soft murr.

After leaning down to nuzzle Sunkit's belly, Jack started to hump forward with his hips and let out a soft moan as he felt his tip start to sink into the otter's tailhole. Jack curled his tail around Sunkit's rudder comfortingly as the otter squirmed and panted under him and reached down a paw to rub his belly fur. He could feel how tense the otter had become and paused his thrust to give him a chance to relax. "It's okay, just relax. It gets a lot better." The jackal said soothingly.

Sunkit blushed and nodded as he tried his best to relax. It was definitely a new experience, but despite the initial discomfort he knew he wanted more. He gazed up at Jack and murred longingly as part of him wished the jackal would just take him and not worry so much. He had a feeling he'd adjust quickly to it and wanted to get to the part where it gets good.

Jack grinned softly at the otter's murrs and nodded a bit as he felt his companion relax. As if sensing what Sunkit was thinking, Jack used his paws to brace the otter's body and humped his member into him the rest of the way in a smooth, quick motion.

Sunkit let out a soft yelp that quickly became a murr as he felt the jackal suddenly deep inside him. The moans coming from Jack's muzzle as he gazed back down at Sunkit made it clear he was enjoying it too. After taking the moment to enjoy the new sensations that filled both of them, Jack started to hump into the otter again. At first they were slow and tentative, but with each moment he seemed to get more enthusiastic until Sunkit could feel each hump through his whole body.

Jack moaned happily as he felt his arousal build quickly again. He knew it was going to be pleasurable, but he wasn't expecting having to fight to hold back as much as he was. Maybe it was how he had Sunkit tied beneath him, or the sounds of enjoyment from the otter, or even simply the thought of what he was doing, but Jack felt like he could cum at any moment and he wasn't ready to end it so soon.

As Jack finally felt himself get too close to hold back for much longer, he moved a paw to Sunkit's member and started to stroke it with his humps. He could tell from the way this made his companion's body tense and quiver that he was about at his limit as well. With a grin, Jack gave the otter an extra forceful hump that squeezed his knot inside his tailhole. The resulting flood of sensation was too much to resist and the jackal let out a howl as his climax hit him harder than expected and his body spasmed as a surprising amount of cum gushed into the otter.

Along with the stroking, that was all Sunkit needed to find release and moaned loudly along with Jack's howl as he sprayed the jackal's paw and his own belly with his cum. He squirmed and whimpered a bit as Jack seemed intent to milk him as much as possible, even stroking a bit after the gushing had stopped.

After both Jack and Sunkit finally relaxed, they stared back at each other and smiled. Sunkit blushed and wrapped his legs tighter around Jack as he realized he could still feel the jackal's knot inside him.

"You've made a bit of a mess..." Jack said softly with a grin. "Since we're kind of stuck for a while I better do something about that. I should take every moment I can to enjoy my pet... don't you think?"

Sunkit nodded quietly and murred and squirmed as Jack leaned down and started to lap at his belly, a bit difficult in their current position but somehow the jackal managed to still show impressive reach. By the time he could feel Jack's knot become less tight inside him, the jackal had cleaned off most of his belly fur, and had spent some time lapping in places that were probably more affectionate than practical.

As he raised his head again, Jack gave his handiwork an approving nod and smiled at the otter. "That's better..." He said happily, giving Sunkit a little wink. "All clean." Jack gently pulled back with his hips until his knot finally popped free from the otter and pulled the rest of the way out, giving a soft sigh as he did so. With a grin he flopped down next to Sunkit and gave him a full body cuddle, "That was amazing..."

Sunkit blushed and nodded in agreement, "It was..." He looked up at his paws and gave his restraints a bit of a tug. "Um... master.. a-are you going to untie me now?"

Jack looked up at Sunkit's tied paws and grinned a bit, "It would be fun to be able to have my way with you whenever I wanted through the rest of the night, but that would probably get uncomfortable to leave you like that." He reached up and untied the otter's paws and blushed a bit as Sunkit latched on to him with a tight hug. "Hehe, well that works too." He said softly as he rested his muzzle between the otter's ears. Jack unlatched the leash from Sunkit's collar and put it out of the way on the headboard, leaving the collar on though, and finally returned the otter's embrace.

"I love you, Sunkit..." Jack said softly as he closed his eyes, finally feeling tired from the exertion and the comfortable feeling of the otter snuggled against him.

"I love you too... Jack." Sunkit replied as he nuzzled into the jackal's chestfur.

Jack sighed happily as he felt himself doze off with Sunkit in his arms. If the day had to come to an end, this was exactly how he wanted it to happen.

As jackal and otter drifted off to sleep, both reflected on everything that led them to where they now found themselves. It had been an eventful and emotional path for both of them, and yet, as they fell asleep in each other's arms, both knew it was worth every moment of it - and it was sure to only get better from there.
