Monster I Have Become

Chapter 6

**Hey readers! I am intending this chapter to be a sort of filler for some personal stories of the characters. If you want in-depth stories, comment below and I will write a separate story about whatever character you wish to be more informed about. Sorry about the late submit! ENJOY!**

*You know you can't just stay here like this, right?* I heard from behind me. "Not now, Rukan, I'm thinking." I say in a sulky tone. *You expect me to believe that!* "Yeah, actually, I do." *Humph!* 'Well, it shut him up at least.

*Like that will ever happen. Look, Ryun, I know why you are sulking around here miserably.* Rukan said to me in an annoyed tone. 'That's right. I did come here for a reason. It was to think to myself, though. Not anything to do with what I am sure Rukan is implying.'

*-now, the reason you are sulking around here miserably is...* I tuned back in to hear the last part of his conversation with himself. *Is because you love someone.* "Rukan! Shut the hell up! I don't give a flying shit what you are talking about and I sure as hell don't care about a feeling such as love!" I spit out with complete malice and disgust in my voice.

*Look at me, Ryun.* 'I can't do it...I just can't do it...leave me alone, Rukan.' I think to myself.

*LOOK AT ME!* I swing my head around and glare menacingly at Rukan.

"WHAT DO YOU THINK YOU CAN DO??!! DO YOU THINK YOU CAN HELP ME?! YOU HAVE NO IDEA HOW MY MIND WORKS! I DON'T CARE IF YOU LIVE IN MY HEAD!! YOU! DON'T! KNOW ME!!" I screamed until I couldn't think of anything else to say. I sat down...hard. 'Why? Why couldn't my life be normal?'

"WHY???!!!"

*Shadow's POV*

No matter how many times I play it through my head, I still can't wrap my mind around the fact that Ryun completely destroyed the Typhlosion and Blaziken. I don't care what happened to those two creeps, but how quickly he got so strong and powerful amazes me! He was staring at the water for a couple of minutes before he did that!

'He just wants to be left alone and straighten out his mind; you shouldn't be going after him.'

'Well, I don't care what I think! I know what I am doing! Just shut up and let me do what I want to do!'

"Shadow? Where are we going?" I hear the voice of little Milly behind me. That's when I notice the slight huffing and panting of a tired little Eevee. 'Why is she so tired?'

I look around and notice that the trees beside me are a blur and leaves, dirt, and ashes are kicked up from my frantic running.

I stop to turn around and give Milly a time for rest, but she bumps into my rump before I can turn around. 'Wow! That little furball sure can move!'

"I-I'm sorry, Shadow! I didn't mean to!" She says frantically after I turned around to look at her. "Awwww, it's okay, Milly! You look so cute with that blush on your face!" At that, Milly's blush gets even brighter and she looks at me with wide eyes.

"Anyway, we are trying to find Ryun. I know what he did back there was.........whatever it was, but I need to find him." I said to Milly, as I turned around to look through the trees.

"It's okay, Shadow! I understand!" She says happily after she trots in front of me to make sure she has my attention. 'WHAT?' "You want to thank him for saving you when we were back at the river! I want to thank him, too. He saved me from those people who......killed my......pa......" I hear her fall silent and look down to see her looking at her paws.

'Poor kid.' I think as I see a couple tears hit the ground and her paws. "But I still want to thank him!" She says with extreme dedication and excitement in her voice. 'Those eyes......make me feel really nice. Like I am under the protective gaze of Arceus and I don't have to worry about anything anymore.' I gaze into her eyes awhile longer before I shake myself free of my stupor and stand up to signal that we are moving on.

'She doesn't understand when other people know what is going on around her. Especially with what I know now.'

*Blades' POV*

'Who would have thought that he was the one behind this war? I guess it can't be helped now, especially since Ryun is involved with Master Shadowfox now. I wonder if Master is planning on taking in Ryun as his apprentice. He did come for Ryun himself.'

*SMACK* "OWWW! I REALLY need to watch where I'm going when I'm thinking!"

"Shows what you know."

"Do I hear the heavenly voice of an ass coming from over there?" I say to the bushes on my right.

"Well, well, you found me! But your gonna have to work harder if you really want me!" I hear from the bushes.

I step back and out comes the 'ass.' The most beautiful Absol you could ever meet. Unfortunately, she doesn't have the stupid, oblivious to everything but herself personality of a pretty girl.

'Unless every pretty girl isn't like that......'

"Hey, you still have that thinking face! I remember that face! You always used to do it when you would try to talk to me!" She yelled out in complete astonishment.

"Hey! That is because you made it that weird! What are you doing here anyway? I thought the Special Force was supposed to be researching the enemy base. We did find it, didn't we?!"

"Hahaha......yeah.........about that......they kinda......moved." I couldn't believe my ears! The captain of the Special Force lost a target!

"I know what you're thinking. 'There can't POSSIBLY be a way for a target to lose the Special Force!' right? Well, they did. And now we can't find them again."

"ABBY! Come on! You are supposed to be an elite Special Force captain! How can you lose a target like that?" I yelled at her.

"Don't yell at me! He lost us, that's all there is to say about it!" She screamed back at me.

"Ugh, just......just don't mess up again, okay? We can't afford to have our best team losing their targets." I said solemnly to her as I turned to walk away.

"You got it, master." She said, whispering the last part so I couldn't hear.

**Mysterious New Character**

'Why did we have to come to a burning forest? I just don't understand how and why we had to come to a burning forest!' I think angrily to myself.

"Judging by that look on your face, I'm guessing you don't understand why we are here?"

I look slightly up and to my left, at the thirteen year old girl walking beside me. 'Sabrina, I really wish I could talk to you......SO I COULD TELL YOU HOW MUCH I HATE TRAINING AND WALKING!'

"Come off it, Roque! It's not like I'm going to throw you into the flames!" I heard her say, and then continue with a whisper under her breath. "Although that would be a good way to test out your fire resistance..."

'ARE YOU SERIOUS?! YOU WANT TO TEST MY RESISTANCE TO FIRE?! ABSOLUTELY NOT!'

"I can tell you're just so happy to find out!" She said with a giggle.

I sat down cross legged and crossed my arms. I could tell she knew what I was doing when she turned around.

"Oh come on, Roque! Don't you want to find out if fire can hurt you or not?" The look on my face was her only answer.

I heard rustling to my right. I took a look but couldn't see anything past the flames bursting from the tree line that the original fire carved through the forest. Then I saw the slightest motion. 'It's moving away from me. Should I chase it? Could give me a good ru...SHIT!'

I popped up from where I was sitting, startling Sabrina. "Roque, what are you doing?"

'SAVING YOUR LIFE!'

**Ryun**

"Rukan, you really need to learn that because you're in my mind, you can control whatever you want. Just don't, alright? I can't handle it right now. Maybe some other time."

*Whatever you say Ryun. I mean it is your mind and body, which I can easily control within a minute, but let's not get into details!*

'We got to get back to where everyone else is so we can assess the damage. After that, I am going to find that......wait.'

I rolled to the left side of the path, narrowly missing a rock that was flying through the air.

"Whoever you are, I suggest not doing that again!"

Another one hit the dirt beside me.

'Oh well, their choice to get their ass handed to 'em.'

I charged a Shadow Ball, then jumped up and to my right. I spotted movement through the trees and fired in that direction before I landed. As I landed, I took another hard roll, this time to the right, to dodge another rock that came from behind me. I jumped up into the air at the end of the roll and twirled in mid-air to face my oncoming attacker...and nothing. I landed with a small thump, but other than that, there was no longer any sound.

"Well, that was extremely odd but at least I can..." Before I could finish, I was sprawled on the floor with my head ringing and a large pain on the back of my head. Before I completely blacked out, two pink sneakers entered my vision, directly in front of me.

**20 minutes earlier, Roque**

"Shut up and run!" I screamed at Sabrina.

"What is happening, Roque?" She screamed as she ran on ahead of me, trying desperately to escape the flames engulfing the already burning forest behind us.

'Why am I running? I can take on this guy!' But before I could do anything to back that thought up, I saw a shadow ball being fired at Sabrina. 'FUCK!'

I took a flying leap towards Sabrina and took the Shadow Ball for her, the explosion causing me to collide into her and fling us sideways off the path. The burning flames behind us had never stopped but they were only limited to the path so they blew past us. As I followed the flames with my eyes, I noticed two figures behind the wall of fire fueling it with even more fire emanating from their muzzles. 'So Pokémon burned this forest.' I thought to myself.

I got up and shook the dust out of my fur. I looked to my left to see Sabrina getting up also. She was a bit shaky, but she was alright none the less. 'Whoever shot that Shadow Ball is gonna die! It had to be a Dark-Type Pokémon, so the first one I see, I will either kill him or interrogate him...most likely the first.'

That is when I heard the smallest sound of paw steps to my left. 'It is quite a bit off, but I am still going to check it out.

I jumped into the trees, surprising Sabrina, and jumped from branch to branch heading in the direction where I heard the paw steps.

"Roque, what the hell?!" I heard Sabrina yell after me, and then I heard her stomping her way through the forest.

After about five minutes, I came upon a lone Umbreon talking to himself and walking down the path.

'Oh oh, you are so dead, buddy!'

**And thus ensued the battle you saw earlier. Also, quick question, can Primeape use Rock Throw or Rock Tomb?**

Sabrina

"Did you have to hit him so hard Roque? And I seriously doubt he was the one that tried to hit me with that Shadow Ball."

"Primeape Prime!" He yelled at me.

"Hey hey, I was just saying! Besides, did you ever even get a look at who shot the Shadow Ball?"

He was quiet for quite a bit.

"Thought so. Anyway, might as well capture the little bugger."

I shrugged off my backpack and took a knee when I felt the hottest burning sensation ever on the back of neck.

**What is happening now?! Oh no, is Sabrina going to have such a short show time in this story?!

Rukan: Shut up Soul. You're making it worse.

Damn, oh well, I will let you guys guess who it is that is giving her a burning sensation (LOL) on the back of her neck (damn, lost the perverseness). Comment if you want a hint. Still looking for extra characters! (NOBODY WANTS ONE?!)**
