Pyschic Impressions
Jenna and Ina were busy doing research on psychic abilities and had managed to find a trainer who was an exspert on psychic pokemon. Ina sent her a message a recieved a reply with in seconds of the sent message. The trainers name was was Sandy and she spent most of her childhood on the beaches of Olivine city where she met her first pokemon Slowpoke. The information also mentions Slowpoke being her first and strongest pokemon and evolved all the way into a slowking.
Sandy sent them a message saying she'd be glad to come to Shinnoh to help her with her research and would even bring her top psychic pokemon to help them with the research. She noted that she'd be there with in the week, Ina and Jenna got everything ready for there arrival and in no time all the pokemon at the ranch had heard the news of this trainer coming to the shinnoh ranch. Edna was talking about hardly being able to wait to play pranks on the new commers, Matthew was excited wanting to battle but kept his excitment to himself.
Rupert wasn't as interested so long as he had his deserts he was happy. Veruka seemed to be somewhat interested in meeting them and might of been interested in a battle or two with these psychic pokemon. Napoleon didn't care to meet them he felt they were abit stuck up and could beat them easily and of course Cotton agreed without question. Vincent had heard of this women's pokemon being a psychic master and noticed Veruka's determination to meet the psychic pokemon and right away wanted to as well and possibly get some advice on making his psychic ability stronger. Pretty soon the week was up and Sandy arrived, She was a rather tall women almost six feet and had a necklace with a pearl in the middle.
Next to her she had a Slowking, He didn't look like a top knotch psychic pokemon infact he looked at peace and not focused like most pokemon would be. Her slowking's name was Wayde, he had a mystic water necklace wrapped around his neck. His shell on his head was badly cracked and the ruby that was ment to be in his shell was also cracked even missing a peice slightly. Wayde was still at peace and gentle with the world, he walked with ease as if the ground itself was made of water. Sandy had made her way over the ranch and knocked on the door, she was greated by Jenna and Ina right away and was welcomed inside.
Jenna told her that her pokemon were more then welcomed to exsplore the ranch while they talked so Sandy released her other pokemon. She had a Medicham named Marlo, a Gardvoir named Gwen, a Metagross named Gavin and a Lopunny named Violet. Jenna was abit surprised to see a Lopunny in a group of psychic pokemon and Sandy exsplained to them what happened and that she was taken in by her because of her previous life. So Sandy sent her pokemon out into the ranch to play, Gavin mainly slept under a near by tree while the girls went off to spend sometime together in the ranch and welcomed anyone else to join. Wayde on the other hand decided to look around and exsplore the ranch more on his own. He walked over towards the lake and stepped on it. The lake barely moved under his feet and it was known that he was using his psychic power to control the waters movement.Some of the other ranch pokemon seemed to stare at him in some amazement and confusion. Wayde looked over at them and smiled alittle, he was mailny being friendly as he made his way back he stepped on the land and looked around.
He stared at them when Matthew stepped up out of the crowd. Matthew eyed Wayde carefully before speaking" Do you battle..?" Wayde said nothing for a few seconds before looking Wayde in the eye" I Do battle my friend i take it you are offering a challenge to me..?" Matthew opened his wings and grinned" I've been searching for a worthy opponent do you think you can match up to being worthy to fight me.." Wayde meerly chuckled" I could give it a shot but i assure you i am not as weak as i look" Matthew grinned" Exacly why i challenged you Sir" Wayde bowed to him" You may call me Wayde ..and what may i call you sire" Matthew flapped his wings sending him into the air alittle" You may call me Matthew now fallow me if you'd like to fight" Wayde soon fallowed after Matthew but kept his pace brisk.
The others watched him in shock surelly he was aware of the power Matthew possessed but wished to fight him anyway. Elizabeth stared at Wayde" Vether or not you strong taking on Matthew vill be a challenge" Wayde looked at her and smiled" With all due respect my dear I love a good challenge and if i lose then so be it i will not be a poor sport" Elizabeth seemed alittle shocked by his awnser but ignored it. They stopped at a large opening in front of the lake and the battle began. The battle was fierce and Matthew was shocked that he had a hard time finding a weak spot on Wayde which made it hard to battle but soon the victor was none other then Matthew. Wayde didn't look badly injured but he was mentally with Matthew being a dark type using pyschic type pokemon made it hard for him.
The Pokemon were greatly impressed by Wayde's skills and his braviery to take on Matthew, even Veruka was impressed and most of them surrounded Wayde impressed and was glad to awnser the questions. Vincent noticed that she had spent some attention to Wayde and was impressed by his battling style and Vincent took notice right away and decided to ask Wayde for some help when no one was around. When everyone was done asking questions and went on there way Wayde went off and sat near the water. He closed his eyes and hummed to himself gently. Vincent soon found him and tried to be quiet as to not disturb him from his meditation.
Wayde kept his eyes closed as he spoke" Is there something i can help you with young Lucario..?" Vincent flinched slightly but smiled alittle" Um yes while watching your battle i was greatly impressed and well i was wondering if you could teach me how to use pyschic better." Wayde opened his eyes and got up" You know pyschic young one.." Vincent smiled nervously" I know pyschic but its not very strong i was hoping maybe you could help me make it stronger" Wayde stared at him" Only if you tell me the real reason why you wish to strengthen your pychic powers.." Vincent looked down and mumbled gently. Wayde tilted his head" Exscuse me boy i couldn't quite hear that" Vincent sighed" I want to impress Veruka.."
Wayde raised a brow" Veruka.. - oh you mean that infernape yes..?" Vincent nodded and Wayde chuckled" Love is a funny thing isn't it" Vincent tilted his head his ear slightly flopping to the side" So will you teach me sir.." Wayde chuckled" Only if you call me Wayde boy im not that old" Vincent jumped up in excitement" You'll really teach me si-I mean Wayde" Wayde nodded" Sure why not this might be entertaining for me." Vicent watched as he chuckled abit and walked off. Wayde stopped and looked back" Well come on young one we must practice but i do have a question" Vincent stared at him" Oh whats that..?" Wayde grinned" Where can i find some water balloons..?" Vincent stared at him confused" Water Balloons..?!"
Wayde threw a water balloon towards Vincent who caught it almost dropping it" So how do water ballons help me control my pyschic type move" Wayde chuckled and stared at him" Use your pyschic powers to control the water in the balloons" Vincent stared at the water balloon and tried to focus his pychic attack into the balloon and it popped in his face. Wayde laughed" You put to much pressure on the water and it popped you must learn to control it.. you must put a certain amount of power into the balloon so that the water will move but it won't burst.." Vincent stared at him" Are you kidding thats impossible no one can do-" He was cut off when he saw Wayde easily moving the water around in the balloon without breaking it. Vincent groaned and grabbed another one trying to control his psychic but everytime it kept popping. He sighed" Im not going to be able to do this Wayde.." Wayde thought for a moment" Hmm okay what about this.. think about something that makes you happy when you use your powers" Vincent sighed and grabbed another balloon" Now close your eyes Vincent and think about something or someone who makes you happy"
Vincent sighed and closed his eyes, a few seconds a small smile came across his face and his paw began to glow a light violet colour. Soon the water was moving smoothly inside the balloon and wasn't even close to breaking. Wayde smiled" Very good Vincent once you focus on something that makes you happy your psychic powers come willingly" Vincent looked down seeing the water move smoothly and grinned" Yes!" Just as he got excited the balloon popped. Vincent chuckled alittle while Wayde laughed" Its a good start boy now we can work on more tonight" Vincent looked at him" Tonight so are you staying here then..?" Wayde nodded" Yes actually we are staying for a few days so i can honestly tell you that you will be better by the next few days.. not great but not terrible" Vincent had decided to sleep early so that he would be able to train tonight. Later that night Vincent met up Wayde who seemed to be near the lake and sticking a giant stake into the water but it was greatly wobbly. Wayde looked over at Vincent and smiled" Ready for your next part of your training.. now its balance" Vincent stared at him" What do i have to do" Wayde looked at the stake sticking out of the water" You are going to go and stand on the stake with one foot and use your pyschic move to keep you balanced either that or you fall in the water understood..?" Vincent looked at him like he was nuts" Your joking right my pyschic power isn't that strong to keep myself ballanced."
Wayde looked at the water and grinned" I also filled the water with carvanha to make things alot more difficult" Vince'ts ears flopped to the back of his head" Your joking i really don't think thats a good ide-" He was cut off when he felt himself float in the air" What are you doing?!" Wayde chuckled" You must learn to control your power and only under exstreame circumstances nad this is one of them" He gently placed Vincent on the log who was shaking trying to keep himself up on the log but found it hard" Come on Vincent focus your energy on the log.. think of something that makes you happy you can do it!" He yelled up to Vincenet. Vincent closed his eyes and focused his pyschic power on the log while thinking of something happy, soon the log became still and it glowed of a purple aura while Vincent had managed to keep his balance on it.
Wayde nodded" Very good Vincent very good.." Vincent opened his eyes and they glowed a violet aura. Wayde was somewhat shocked this lucario had more pyschic potential then he realized" Hmm Looks like our next session will have to be harder.." Wayde clapped" Alright Vincent your good enough for now" Vincent stopped and wobbled slipping and was about to fall into the water. He was caught in mid fall by Wayde's pyschic moves and gently led Vincent to the ground. Vincent looked at him" How did i do.." He said trying to catch his breath. Wayde smiled" You did good today Vincent.. go get some rest we have more training to do come the morning" Vincent looked at him and nodded" Of course goodnight Wayde.." He then walked off. Wayde sighed gently" Good night boy.."
Early that morning Vincent was still passed out when Wayde came up anddd tapped him with his tail" Wake up Vincent.." Vincent opened his eyes and looked up" Ugh Wayde the sun hasn't rose yet" Wayde chuckled" I know but i must test your mind now.. its just the same as testing your strength and balance now we must test your mind." Vincent nodded and got up" Okay lets go.." He yawned and Wayde soon started moving" We are going to head to the caves.." Vincent stopped and looked at him" Um.. Caves you mean.. the dark ones.." Wayde chuckled" There is always a dark cave boy it just takes someone with great mind to find the light.." He noticed Vincent stopped moving" Boy i know your afraid to go into caves alone but you have to get over your fear if you ever hope to gain control of your pyschic power.."
Vincent looked down still undecided about going or not. Wayde sighed" Would you rather dissapoint yourself.. i mean i thought you were doing this for a lovely pokemon's attention or was i mistaken.." Wayde grinned" Perhaps she's not worth getting over your fear.." Vincent's ears perked up alittle and he looked over at Wayde" I'd do anything for her and that includes going into a dark..gloomy, scary cave." Wayde looked back at him" Then lets go boy.." Soon they came up to a large dark cave" Now boy this is where we begin.. you see this cave is one of the biggest and closest to your ranch.." He looked at Vicent and pushed him to the dirt. Vincent gaped at him in shock and then glared" What was that for Wayde" He soon had something wrapped around his eyes" Ugh Wayde i can't see what are you doing ?!"
Wayde sighed" You are afraid of the dark i see that but you are to be blind folded and attempt to find your way through this cave" Vincent paniced" What are you crazy i could fall into a ditch and get lost or get attacked by wild pokemon and i won't be able to see what im doing or where im going" Wayde stared at him" You will have to trust your sences and if you feel that you are being attacked you must defend yourself listen to your instincs boy and go" He shoved Vincent into the cave. Vince trembled slightly" Ugh I don't like this i can't even see where im going.."
Vincent looked around he couldn't see anything nothing but darkness and it bugged him. He sighed and soon felt the ground shake under his feet" Oh no.." Just as he was about to give up he remebered what Wayde had first told him before to keep his mind on happy thoughts and keep it at peace or he would fail badly. Vincent took a deep breath and listened to his surroundings when he felt a sudden force coming at him he dodged it. Vincent kept his ears up listening for any other incoming attacks and dodged them with ease. He couldn't see but he felt as if he could, he growled and his hands began to glow and the stones around him began to break and he launched it at the upcoming force hitting it directly.
The opponent he had hit went down or atleast he could feel it. He felt the ground vibrate under his feet and then felt the ground move again signalling that he was getting back up but Vincent decided to get out of there before it attacked again. Vincent kept walking what felt like forever when he felt himself bumping into something. He undid the blindfold and looked infront of him to see Wayde. Wayde grinned at him" Very good young boy.." Vincent grinned" I did it.. I actually did it" He jumped and accidently made the ground shake using his earthquake move and frowned" Uh oh.." Wayde sighed and felt the ground break under him and just before they fell they both dissapeared in a wave of light and found themselves on the ground near the entrance they came in.
Vincent looked over at Wayde" Woah did you do teleport" Wayde was about to respond when he was interupted" No he didn't I did" Vincent and Wayde looked over to see Gwen the gardvoir" I didn't wish to see my friend and his student fall to there death or atleast get badly hurt" She laughed abit and Vincent stared at her. Vincent looked at wayde" So what do i do next.." Wayde looked over at Vincent" Im afraid i can't do much more for you boy." Vince looked down at him with shock" What no there has to be more training to be done" Once again Wayde was interuptted by Gwen" Im afraid he's right Sandy has finnished doing her research and we leave tonight.."
Vincent's ears lowered" But i don't feel like i improved at all.." Wayde and Gwen laughed causing Vincent to look at them both" You trained yourself very well Vincent you were a good student and you will get better you'll see you will get better with the lessons i've taught you" Vincent smiled alittle" Really.." Wayde nodded" Of course and maybe if we ever visit again i can show you more or battle you perhaps to see how much better you've gotten.." Vincent sighed" But how can i impress Veruka.." Wayde chuckled" Well i got my friends to get something for you.. to help show her you favor her abit more"
Wayde looked over at Gwen" May i have the gift for her Gwen.." Gwen nodded and pulled out a box from the inside of a hallow tree and handed them to Wayde. Wayde walked over to Vincent and handed him the small box" Open it when we leave and then you may give it to her when you feel your ready.." Vincent tilted his head" I don't understand but okay.." Wayde smiled and turned around" Lets go then.." He looked at Gwen" Mind giving us a lift back to the ranch my dear" Gwen nodded" Of course Wayde its not a problem.." Gwen used her teleport and soon they were infront of the Ranch.
Vincent smiled and sat down he was tired very tired, The door opened the reveal Sandy leaving the room. She looked over at Ina and Jenna before bowing" It was a pleasure helping you out although i don't think you really needed it but atleast my pokemon got to have alittle vacation" She smiled and said her goodbyes. She looked over at Wayde" Alright Wayde its time to go home the girls and Gavin are already in the pokeballs well most of em" She chuckled and brought out her pokeball returning Gwen back inside. She rubbed Wayde's shell" Come on buddy lets go home.." Wayde nodded and looked at Vincent" Good luck my boy not that you'll need it" Vincent smiled and waved to them as they left.
Later that night Vincent sat up in a tree and looked at the box in his lap" What did he give me anyway.." He decided to open the box and inside was a single gracidea flower and a small note next to it. Vincent picked up the note and read it" This Flower is rare and beautiful im sure Veruka would love it ")" Vincent blushed gently and chuckled" maybe she will.. when i give it to her that is." he picked up the gracidea flower and smiled" Thank you Wayde.."
