Forenote: -This was a request by my lovely mate, Victoria Maiko

-For the best clarification of looks (a picture is worth a thousand words), I would recommend looking up Victoria's profile before hand, just to see how her appearance is. Just a suggestion. (http://victoria-maiko.sofurry.com/)

-Yes, I am still working on the Inari series

-I think that's about it. Enjoy!

It was a rigorous day.

Victoria had spent the whole day meditating, planning... She had a big fight ahead of her. She was the current WORL Martial Arts Champion, and hadn't lost a match yet in ages. However... Her next opponent was tough, and she knew it. Her next opponent, a panthress named Jess, had a history opposite in her name in simplicity. No one had known how, but she had risen through the ranks faster than any other fur had before... But how she had done so so fast was an enigma even to Victoria. All she knew was that she had to fast, and prepare.

A few hours went by, and it was time to enter the arena. Victoria looked at the crowd-- most were cheering her on due to her being the current leader... But Jess, with how fast she had gotten recognition, got her fair share of cheers as well. It was a mixed martial arts match in a sense; just about anything and everything would be allowed. Victoria took in a breath, calming her mind, and stepped into position. Jess did the same. Victoria tried to take in her surroundings, but there was no time. It was time to fight.

Round 1. Jess threw a punch, and Victoria dodged it. The kitsune followed by aiming her elbow straight at Jess's stomach, and landed a heavy blow. The panthress was nearly knocked to the ground by the hit, but collected herself, and launched a kick at Victoria's chest. She hit hard, but not hard enough. As another kick was launched towards Victoria, Victoria's paw shot out and grabbed her foot. She then lifted Jess, flipping her. The maneuver was simple enough, and as Jess hit the floor, Victoria won round 1.

Round 2. Victoria decided to go on the offensive, and throw the first strike-- a punch, which was nearly dodged, only giving a glancing blow to Jess. Victoria then jumped in the air and did a spinning kick-- but Jess ducked. When she got up, she leaped towards the kitsune's chest, shooting a powerful kick towards it. Victoria didn't have time to react, and was hit, hard. She had lost round 2.

Round 3. Something didn't seem right-- Victoria soon found out what. Jess shot a punch that connected at Victoria, and as her claws gently raked her, Victoria almost instantly became faint. As she looked towards Jess, she realized how she had gotten so far, so fast. There was a black powder laced on them-- almost impossible to see as it blended with her fur and claws. A poison. Victoria fell, and lost. To everyone else, it had seemed like she was hit hard and knocked out. To her, she had lost her title, due to cheating.

Victoria woke up, angry, and confused. She wasn't at the arena anymore-- suddenly she saw two familiar faces. They were Cosette and Misty! They both hugged her. "I'm so glad you're ok... You were knocked out for quite a while," Misty exclaimed. "I was poisoned; crippled..." Victoria said, reflecting on what went on. "Aww, that's too bad, kyu~" Cosette said sympathetically. "Worst part is, I have no proof. I was cheated! That little--" her voice was cut off as she was hugged by her two loving mates.

Victoria sighed, and realized that it didn't matter. Next year, she would get her title back. This year, she had her two mates, who were the best things that she could ever own.

The next day she woke up, and felt proud about herself. However, she still felt like she had something to prove. And... She felt sore. The day before was very trying, and she felt fatigued. Under her fur were bruises. But, it wasn't a big deal; this always happened after big fights-- it was very likely that Jess was in a relatively weakened state as well.Victoria went outside, and as she walked around town, happened to come across Jess.

"Well, look, if it isn't the pathetic loser," Jess sneered. "That wasn't a fair fight, and you know it," Victoria replied. The kitsune continued, "How about we have a fair fight, just to see who -deserves- the title? The beach, right now, one round-- loser determined only by knockout." "Fine, your loss," Jess replied. They walked to the beach, in utter silence, and upon arriving on the surprisingly empty sandbar, immediately began to spar. Victoria launched a kick at Jess, which was caught with both paws and turned, flipping Victoria. As the kistune hit the ground, the panthress brought her foot down onto her back. "Well, it looks like this will be the easiest fight of them all. Can't even last a few minutes against me?" the sinister panthress taunted. Victoria suddenly heard two familiar voices cheering her on. She looked up, and saw Misty and Cosette, urging her. Suddenly, Victoria launched herself back up, moving Jess's hindpaw back and unbalancing her, sending her to the ground. As Jess got up, she had half a second to see a spinning kick aimed right for her head. Then, she saw only stars.

Victoria panted, and headed back. She would have her title next year, she had always had her dignity, and now, she had the truth. She was still the best.
