[Insert legal disclaimer here]

Note: This is part four of my series "You can't hurry love". I strongly recommend you to read "Two hearts", "Another day in paradise", AND "Can't stop loving you" before this one, or you'll miss the plot. You will need the background for this part too, trust me. To find them, just click "More from this author" on the menu above the story.

It was really fun writing these stories. If you have any feedback or suggestions, feel free to post it in the forums or mail me...

This time he was prepared. He had woken up a couple of minutes ago, and got out of bed. He lightly touched her leg, to wake her up, and he crouched behind the bed to hide.

When the paw was launched, it hit nothing but fabric. Jennie, the owner of the paw, rapidly opened her eyes, shocked by the absence of a human. She was truly terrified when she couldn't spot him in the room.

"What if..." she thought, but didn't dare going on.

He couldn't be gone. No. He would tell her first... Or would he? The red vixen finally turned her head towards the door, to find it locked. When Alex' head rose above the edge of the bed, she spotted him and realised what had happened. He smiled at her. She called out his name, relieved by his presence but also angry at him for playing with her. He understood what she was thinking, got up, and ran across the room, laughing. She followed him. After a few steps, he couldn't come any further. Cornered, the human surrendered himself to his mate. She pushed him up against the wall and kissed him.

"I was worried!" Jennie said after breaking the kiss.

He kept laughing.

After breakfast, they fed the birds together. Before, she had always done it alone. Now they were two. Something had changed in her life... To the better? Definitely. Would it last? She hoped so. The human was everything she ever wanted, he really cared for her. He had proved it once, and would do it again.

When they were finished, they got up on her room again, and she made her bed. She visited the bathroom, while he was waiting.

"I take pills", she said when coming back. "We don't have to worry."

"Is it even possible to... You know..."

"Yes, but not very common."

"Oh... I didn't know. I almost don't know anything about you furs..."

"You'll learn. Let me put some music on", she said, and walked over to her CD-player.

A male voice started singing about love, and Alex felt like hugging his mate. She felt the same, and walked up to him. He took her in his arms, and they stayed like while listening to the music.

"Come with me, close your eyes", the voice sang.

The human did, and let Jennie lead him over to the bed.

"Hold my hand, it'll be all right..."

She took his hand.

"Don't be scared, don't be shy..."

He smiled.

"Lift your head, it's gonna be all right"

Their eyes met. Alex leaned over, and kissed her. She pulled her shirt off, and so did he. He touched her breasts, and felt her nipples harden. Her hart was beating faster, he could feel it. She held him closer, and laid back on the bed. He kissed her again, and she let him play around with his tongue inside her muzzle. Feeling his body on her, she knew what was coming. He seemed to know exactly how to please her. Soon they would only focus on each other. The music in the background kept going, and they were kissing.

Another being had something else in mind, though. Just when they were going to increase the heat even more, Jennie's cell phone called. It was placed on a table beside the bed, so she broke the kiss and reached out for it. He continued to kiss her neck and chest.

"Hello", she answered.

"Jen."

It was Sarah's voice. She had been away for a couple of days, so they hadn't spoken to each other.

"Hi Sarah..."

Jennie's voice had changed from angry to happy again, but the human stopped.

"I'm home again, and..."

"What?"

"And... When I was going to take the bus downtown... I saw them..."

"Saw who?"

"They are looking for you, Jen... It's a lot of humans. They asked me if I knew anything about a red vixen with a white stripe, and told me it had kidnapped a human... What have you done?"

"What?! But I didn't!"

"They are slowly moving through this part of the city... They will find you."

"It's wrong..."

She felt like crying. A human mob, trying to find her.

"You've got to hide", Sarah said. "Even if you're innocent, they won't believe you... They are all pretty upset. Even as we speak, some foxes are organising a second party, to protect the furs."

"It's gonna get violent", Jennie whispered.

"No."

Now it was Alex' turn to say something.

"Let's meet up with them before they do anything stupid."

"Who was that?" Sarah asked.

"You'll see."

She hung up and looked at her boyfriend.

"We've got to stop them."

They hurried to get some clothes on, and ran out of the house. Steel clouds were floating high above them. People, both furs and humans, were beginning to gather on the streets. There was a human mistrust in furs, and had always been. That was why many lived in neighbourhoods with their own kind. These feelings were not accepted by some furs, who began disliking humans for their ignorance and isolation. All of these feelings had been pent-up for quite a while, but today... people were angry. The "human-side" had been told by Alex' father that he had been kidnapped, possibly murdered, and the "furred-side" thought the humans were going to kill every single red fox. The main hot zone would be a crossroad right between a human and a furred area, and that was where Alex and Jennie were heading.

They tried to stay as far away from crowds as possible. It was hard, because several hundred seemed to be outside, slowly moving towards trouble. Humans were more dangerous than furs for them right now, so they stayed away from them. Suddenly Jennie spotted a classmate of hers, alone in an alley. It was a fox, a big one at that, with black fur and blue eyes. He looked friendly and confused, almost as if he was lost. They approached him to get some information on the situation, but as soon as he spotted the human he got angry.

"What's that thing doing here?" he said.

Jennie tried to explain, but he wouldn't listen. It was no use. The fox walked up to Alex and grabbed him by his shoulders. He had underestimated the human, though, because before he knew it, Alex had given him a hard punch on the cheek. He whimpered and dropped the human. Jennie took his hand and ran away, before he had time to alert his friends.

"Where did you learn that", she asked him after a while.

"I'll tell you later... It's a long story."

They were getting closer to the centre of the storm now. The streets were literally crowded with furs. Far away on the same street, they could see humans. Neighbours once friendly were now standing on each side of the line that had been drawn. They ran through the crowd now, hand in paw. People didn't have time to look at them before they were out of reach. The noise of talking and shouting was getting louder and louder now, and a couple of feet away, the street was empty. It was a gap, about one hundred feet wide, to the next crowd: the humans. They hid behind a couple of tall horses. No one noticed them, they were all too busy screaming at each other. Tension... It was soon going to get worse if they didn't do anything.

Alex could see his parents. They stood in front of everyone else, but didn't say a word. They waited for a while before stepping up.

When a human and a red vixen walked out on the empty part of the street, the shouts and screams instantly stopped. After only a few seconds, they could only hear the wind in the trees. Alex didn't have an idea about what to say, but it didn't matter. Their sheer presence would calm people down. When they were almost exactly in the middle of the street, they stopped. Alex thought he was going to get unconfident, like he always did in crowds. He didn't. They were together now, much stronger than before. He looked around him. Everyone within reach looked at them, confused and not sure about what to do. The result was that no one did anything. For half a minute they only stared at each other. Then he saw his parents again. They were probably the only ones that looked away, which made him sad. He turned to Jennie.

"You know what we gotta do, right?" he whispered quietly, so that no one could hear them.

"You lead, I'll follow."

He took her arms and kissed her, right in front of everybody. They kept going just long enough to make their point: There would be no violence.

Alex could see his father coming out to them.

"Alex", he said. "Listen to me. You have to start thinking now."

"I am."

They spoke quietly to prevent anyone else from hearing.

"It", he said and pointed at Jennie, "is not good enough for you. We only want what's best for you, you know that."

"Dad... I'm not gonna let you take her away from me", he said, and pronounced the word "her" extra clearly.

"You are letting go of that thing right now, or I will..."

He moved in closer, heading for Jennie. Alex was still holding her hand. He let go and positioned himself right in front of her, stopping his slightly taller father from doing her any harm. He felt threatened.

"I said no."

"You have to come home again, Alex."

"I know..."

He was divided between two different sides. He wanted to be able to come home and talk it out with his parents, but he couldn't let them separate him from Jennie. What was he going to do?

"We don't want you to be with them... You know what they think about humans."

"That's not right... Jennie's parents were nice to me from the moment I met them."

"So it's name is 'Jennie'?" he asked.

"Stop saying that. If only you could talk to them once, maybe you'd understand..."

"Understand? You have to understand that those things cannot be trusted!"

"But what can I do to convince you? What has she done wrong?"

"First off all, they don't like humans, they show us that all the time. Soon you won't even be able to buy milk in a shop owned by one of them!"

"If she doesn't like humans, why is she here with me?"

"I don't know. I guess it's out to get our money."

"How can you say something like that? She didn't know anything about me when we met!"

"Besides, everyone knows that the animals are less intelligent."

"You're wrong again, that's only prejudices. What can we do to convince you?!"

"If you can prove it to me, that she can handle a computer without breaking down, I will let you stay together for just as long as you wish, how many days that may now take", he said and laughed.

Alex paused. Had anyone else noticed?

"You... You called her 'she'"

No one said anything. It was a small detail, but right now it meant everything. He really had called her "she". Alex turned his head to look at her. She was afraid, but did her best not to show it. His father had said "she".

There was still hope.

For one minute, there was total silence. Alex was going to say something, but was interrupted by his father.

"Okay then. As you wish. Get 'her' seated in front of your computer and see if 'she' can think logically."

He looked at her. She nodded.

"Tell everyone to go home first, dad."

"Fine... We'll settle this another day..."

His father turned around and walked back. He spoke to a couple of humans for a while, and convinced them to back off instead of taking out their revenge on the furs. They obeyed. The sight of humans turning away and going home to prevent violence calmed the furred side down a lot. No one even considered screaming anything - the less angry ones were already on their way home. There would be no skirmishes between angry people, not today. Alex was relieved, and felt Jennie take his hand again. When his father came back, most people had left. He seemed confident, though. What was he planning?

"Now let's get to our house."

They only needed a short walk to reach the gigantic villa. They went inside, and for the first time, Jennie got to see his room. It was bigger than she thought, and she noticed the computer placed on a table.

"If you can prove to me that you are as smart as a real human, I'll invite your parents for dinner so we can talk thing out."

"How is she supposed to prove anything like that?" Alex said.

He started the computer and connected to the internet.

"I got a score of one hundred and ten on this IQ-test", his father said. "Let's see how far over seventy she comes..."

Jennie sat down in the chair. It was comfortable, but a little bit too big for her.

"What am I supposed to do, then?" she asked.

"Figure it out yourself... Smart as you are..."

"I know you can do it, Jennie."

A number of figures and signs appeared on the screen. Apparently she was supposed to pick what figure that was next in a series, and click on it. Jennie had never owned a computer, but had tested Sarah's a couple of times, and therefore knew how to click and move around. The first couple of questions were easy, and she completed them without hesitating.

"No cheating", Alex' father said and got out of the room along with Alex.

He closed the door after instructing the vixen to tell them when she was ready. She had ten minutes.

"But dad, the real time limit is twenty minutes", Alex said. "Why does she only get half the time?"

"Who knows."

He closed the door. It was now her against the test.

Jennie was beginning to sweat. The questions were getting harder, and time was running out. What would happen if she failed? She didn't want to think about that. Some questions were obviously there to make the tested answer them incorrectly, but she saw it coming and avoided them.

Now it was beginning to get really hard. She could only understand a few questions.

"Oh no, I'm not going to make it", she thought.

A tear emerged in her eye. It ran down her cheek, and landed on the floor next to the table. It made her focus again.

"Know you can do it, or don't bother at all", she whispered. "...I know."

She had just answered the last question by chance when the door was opened.

"Well, well... Let's see."

He turned to Alex.

"You know we never would let you see someone who's... unintelligent."

"She is too good for me."

He was starting to believe. Believe in her.

"Let's check the results."

Jennie got up, and took Alex' hand. She held it hard, still hoping. His father sat down. He clicked something on the screen, and another page came up.

"Get Results?" it said.

Slowly, he moved the mouse over the "Yes"-button. Alex held his breath. This was, in spite of it's simplicity, really important to them. They needed his approval, or Alex would have to make a choice.

"Dad... Press it."

A click was heard, followed by a long silence.

A lone vixen walked down the street. She looked down. Slowly, very slowly, she was going home. Upon reaching a corner, she stopped and turned around. She was tired. Still, she knew perfectly well what to do once she got home. She couldn't go on any more... The red vixen stopped at the corner and began crying... again.

A stranger passed by. She only noticed it was a he, and that he had grey fur.

"Why are you crying, young one?"

It was an old man, probably retired from work.

"The sun is shining", he went on. "Everything's perfect."

"I know..." she said and wiped away a tear. "Everything is perfect... That's why I'm crying..."

She could see him now, behind the old man. He was running. He speeded up and approached her quickly. The tears just kept rolling down her cheeks. He reached his target and took her in his arms, holding her high in the air. She howled, with tears running down. It was happy tears, and she couldn't stop them... They were together. She was laughing and crying simultaneously.

The old man smiled and walked away.

"Youngsters..." he whispered softly.

The results had been amazing. Alex' father couldn't believe her score at first. She got one hundred and twenty five points. Very, very good. When he finally was convinced, he instantly called her parents and invited them for dinner. They had gotten over an hour later, and all six of them - Alex, his parents, Jennie, and her parents - had eaten dinner together, talking. His parents would learn to accept the furs, even though it would take some time. They got along well with Phil and Kathryn.

Jennie had asked if they could get home to her, and "...let the adults talk it out, alone". Not even Alex' parents had objected. Their real reason, though, was to be alone for a while. She guess they had figured it out, but it didn't matter. They allowed it. Alex had stayed a little longer, his father wanted to speak to him. While they were talking, Jennie got out and started walking home to get some time to think. Now he had catched up with her.

"Let's go", he said.

She nodded, and he wiped the tears away from her face.

"He allowed it... He really did..."

They walked off while watching the sun go down.

The house was empty, and almost all lights were out. She led him up the stairs. He could barely see anything in the dark, but her night vision was good, and she knew where to go. Once inside her room, she let go of his hand and disappeared into the darkness. He stumbled forward, trying to follow her voice, with his arms reached out. She giggled at the way he looked. After walking in a circle around him, she grabbed the unprepared human from behind and lifted him up. He didn't resist. She lay him down on the bed, and started taking of his and her clothes.

When they were naked, she laid down on top of him. She gently stroke him on his chest.

"Jennie..." he whispered.

She just smiled, and he continued.

"We're together..."

He hugged her and kissed her for a long while before letting go, not sure about what she was going to do. The vixen turned around to his hardened member. She kissed it and licked off some pre. He was beginning to see a little in the dark, and could spot her swollen sex, just in front of his face. The sight made even more pre run out, but it also convinced him to start pleasing her. He grabbed her hips and pulled her closer. When she was just outside his face, he began licking her, first slowly. She moaned, and almost forgot about helping him. When she started again, she took him deeper inside her muzzle. She could not forget about him now, this was going to be special for them both. She began sucking. Alex must have liked it, because he intensified his efforts to make her peak, by licking and rubbing her with his hands. She massaged his legs while using both her teeth and tongue. The two mates really enjoyed this moment.

She was getting closer. When he began moving his tongue inside of her, she came. Her fluids covered his face, and she closed her teeth around his shaft in pleasure, almost biting him. He was excited by it, and almost came himself. When she, a couple of seconds later, resumed the licking, he couldn't hold out either.

Jennie swallowed his first "shot", but then pulled her face away and let him pump his seed. Some of it hit her fur, but she didn't mind. After all, it was from him. She turned around and looked at him curiously. His face was covered by her juices, so she licked it off him and dried him with a sheet. They kissed again. She lay down beside him.

"I still love you", he whispered.

"Then guess what I do..."

Alex hugged her, and she hugged him back. They stayed like that for half and hour, talking and massaging. When she let go of him, he was beginning to get hard again.

"Shall we...?" she asked.

Now he nodded.

She placed herself so she could see him, right on top of him. His vision had adjusted for the limited light, and he could see her body. She pawed him off for a couple of moments, to make him even harder. Then, she sat down on top of him, with one leg on each side of him, and lowered her body down on his shaft. She moaned again. Both were going to enjoy it this time too, they already knew it. She began moving up and down, lubricated by her sweet nectar. He wanted to try something new, so he moved his hands to her tail and began stroking it. She held her paws on his chest, and asked him to go on by scratching him with her claws. Alex moved his fingers down behind her, removed her tail, and inserted two fingers in her tailhole.

This was an entirely new experience to her. When he began moving in and out, in the pace she was going up and down, she decided she liked it and moaned. She speeded up the pace.

He was getting closer.

She was getting closer.

Jennie moaned again, and started moving even faster. It was time now. They both came exactly together, and howled. Together. He filled her with his seed, and kept pleasing her. His fingers helped her relax and made her climax longer. She was still in heaven. Her juices flowed down his legs and stomach. She howled again. After what felt like forever, her body calmed down. His lower body was entirely covered in her fluids, that much had came out. It had ran down on the sheets, but it didn't matter. It had been worth it. As always, with him. Somehow, he had made her feel even better.

She rolled of him and got down beside him again, tired from the long orgasm.

"That was the best you have ever done", she said. "I have never felt so good, not ever..."

Instead of answering, he kissed her. She knew perfectly well what it meant. He was saying "You're welcome", and "Thank you" in the same time.

They hugged each other closely. He knew that he wouldn't wake up by a paw tomorrow. He knew it. They were safe now, and she wouldn't have nightmares about him leaving. Perfect...

It would take a while, but his parents would learn to accept and appreciate the furs. Perfect...

No words were necessary. They were together now, and nothing could change that. Perfect...

Alex and Jennie. Perfect.
