Necronik : meet the survivors

it came running, it ran with the speed of a leopard. it ran on two legs, growling menacingly at him, blood frothing from its mouth, it was human.. or it used to be. when the creature got too close benn raised his boot up and caught its face, it fell backwards and landed on its neck, still flailing and screaming unnaturally benn pointed his SPAS-12 at its head and pulled the trigger, the sound of the shell firing cracked loudly through the air as blood and greymatter splattered his vest and mask. he pulled the pump back, expelling a smoking shell from the side, and pulled it back up with a click, loading another shell in the chamber, in one fluid motion.
he stepped over the second time dead corpse, and walked down the ramp of the warehouse, and into the hot sun. reaching down, he pulls the colt king cobra .44 magnum revolver from its holster, clicking the latch and letting the cylinder fall to the side he counts 6 circular gold bullets and clicks the cylinder back into place, placing it back in its holster. he begins walking blindly not knowing where he was going.

"RIO PLEASE HELP ME" the white and blue wolf pleaded as an infected was grabbing at her.
"HOLD ON LUCIA IM COMING!" the black wolf yelled, aiming the wooden baseball bat at the head of the ferret grabbing at his sister, he closed his eyes as he swung and felt the bat jerk backwards at the impact, the creature fell down limp on the floor, his sister slid down the wall with her face in her hands, crying. he bent down and moved her hands away from her face and looked into her eyes.
"lucia we have to stay calm" rio said hugging her "calm down, im here" rubbing his paws down her head, comforting her
lucia clutched onto her brother and cried into his shoulder "whats going on rio?" she stammered out "why is this happening?"
"i dont know sis, but we need to find somewhere to hide" he said picking her up
both of their pointed ears pricked up at the sound of growling from behind them

benn walked into the desolate town, looking around he notices that most of the buildings were boarded up like planks of wood could prevent infection he continued to walk down the road with his shotgun held relaxed in both hands. when in reality he was tense and alert. his ears pick up yelling in the distance, squinting his eyes he listens carefully.
"rio please help me"
"hold on lucia im coming"
benn begins walking towards the sound, startled by multiple running footsteps, he whips around just in time for an infected wolf to attempt to blindside him, he ducks on reflex and goes under the arm of the wolf, wrapping his arms around the wolfs back and locking his hands on its stomach, he lifts up as hard as he can and falls backwards smashing the wolfs head open on the concrete curb behind him, as he is falling he sees a weasel rushing towards him, benn rolls out and sweeps the weasels legs from under him, as it falls benn jumps up and lets his boot land on the head of the infected smashing it into bloody pieces. he hears another scream from the same place as the first and he begins sprinting towards it.
he reaches a gas station and is met with a sight of a black wolf fighting off a huge lion with a baseball bat, or at least. trying to. a white wolf was curled up on the floor crying. benn walked between the gas pumps remembering that he left his shotgun in the alley where he was ambushed. he continues walking seeing the wolf trying to fight off the 7 foot tall lion, when the black wolf was knocked on top of the white one, the lion raised his fist but benn caught it, and used his palm to break the arm at the elbow, the lion spun around growling like a feral animal but when it opened its mouth to roar benn shoved the barrell of his .44 magnum in its mouth, pointed up, and pulled the trigger. the .44 magnum bullet cracked sound through the air and the bullet went through the lions brain like a hot knife through butter. he removed the barrel and let the infected fall lifeless to the floor. the wolfs looks up at him with amazement, ben walks over and holds out his hand
"thank you" the black wolf stammers and grasps his hand. benn pulls the young anthro to his feet, he was dressed in a plain white shirt with a blood splatter going up his shoulder and cargo shorts, he had beat up hi tops on his feet. benn glances at the white one, female from the looks of it, still curled into a ball crying on the ground. the black wolf notices and begins to comfort her.
"lucia were okay this man saved us, lucia" he says into her ear
she looks up at benn and blinks. "thank you sir" she sobbed, benn nods and holds out his black gloved hand, she takes it and stands up she was dressed in a blue shirt and black pants, with old vans covering her feet her eyes were ice blue it felt as if they peered right into his soul.
"my name is rio" he said "and this is lucia" he mentioned, motioning to the white wolf, still wiping her tears away
"my name's benn" he said his voice deep and gravelly yet smooth and his face covered through his mask.
rio's ears pricked up and he smiled at benn, as the soldier turned around and walked out of the gas station. rio looked suprised "h-hey wait" he shouted at the former umbrella soldier, running up behind him "cmon lucia" he said as the white wolf came behind her brother.
benn noticed that they followed, but he didnt mind, he continued walking through the silent alleyways and dark backroads, avoiding the infected.
"hey benn, we should stop here" rio said pointing at an auto shop, "we might find something useful inside"
benn stopped and looked at the wolf, then at the auto shop. he nodded walking towards the door, he reaches out and jostles the knob, finding it locked "well i guess it was worth a try" rio sighed. benn takes a step back and kicks the heavy wooden door right in the center, making it fly open and hit the wall behind it. rio and lucia jump at the sound of the door crashing open. benn walks in, hand on revolver, seeing nothing, he relaxes and walks in the rest of the way. benn motions for the other two to come in, they walk cautiously through the door, lucia pulls the door closed and pushes a shelf in front of it.
"you dont talk much do you" rio mentions to benn
"i try not to" benn replies "we should stay here for the night" he says to the wolves, pulling his gas mask off they both look curiously at their savior's face it was tanned lightly, they noticed the scar going down the middle of his eye, his black hair short and glistening with sweat from the gas mask. they notice his most interesting feature, his eyes that were blood red and seemingly glowing.
"what?" he asked kind of annoyed
"wha- nothing" rio stammered holding his hands up lucia was hiding behind her brother, peeking out from under his arm.
benn looked at the two wolves, shook his head, and began looking for something to make some makeshift beds out of.
instead he finds a portable phone, he places it on the worktable and looks around for somthing. the wolves watch him curiously, they both jump at the sound of him flipping a lawn mower over and breaking the blade off, he grabs some electrical tape from the shelf above him and brings the items to the worktable.
lucia and rio begin looking for useful items. lucia finds a backpack and a first aid kit, she places the kit into the backpack. "someone will need this" she says to herself
"oh hello" rio exclaims pulling out a glock 9mm, he cocks the gun and looks into the chamber. "haha fully loaded too. hey lucia look what i found" lucia looks in the direction of her brother and is suprised to see him holding a hand gun. she shakes her head and continues looking. all of a sudden they hear a motor spin up it was benn, he turned on a grinder and was sharpening the lawn mower blade to razor sharpness, the sparks flew everywhere lighting up the workshop for a brief moment before going out and being replaced with new ones. he finished and turned the grinder off, and reached for the tape, he began wrapping the tape around the bottom the lawnmower blade began looking like a long cleaver. he then took the phone and smashed it. the wolves watched silently. benn took the battery and unhooked the wires from the phone, he taped the battery above the handle of the blade, and taped the wires at diffrent places on the blade. lucia's and rio's ears pricked at a sound coming from the makeshift weapon.
"zzzzzzzzzzz"
"i found a baseball bat" rio says to benn, "can you do somthing with it?"
"yea bring it here" benn says looking at rio
rio steps over and hands the weapon to benn, he takes it and places it on the workbench, then grabbing a box of 4 inch nails and a hammer he sets off to work hitting the nails into the wood of the bat when he was finished he held up a savage looking weapon that looked like it could kill a tank with a single hit.
rio awed at the spiked bat. "wow, that looks pretty brutal" he laughed "id like to see any of these assholes come for me now"
benn picked up the electrified blade and brought it over to lucia he placed the tape covered handle in her paw.
"dont touch the blade" he said bluntly to her
she nodded in suprise "y-yes sir"
he looked at her and raised an eyebrow. "and dont call me sir"
she nodded "okay"
