#3 of Cant Take My Eyes Off You

Thanks for all the posotive feedback. :) Ch. 3 is a lot longer than Ch. 1 or 2, because i really couldn't find a good place to stop. Hopefully you guys enjoy it. Also, Need You Now is copyright Lady Antebellum. (You can see who my favorite music comes from. :) )

The next three months flew by. With Seigi in my paws, how could they not? We were as happy as we could possibly be with each other. Everyday after school, I would travel over to his house, talking and cuddling against his soft, white fur. I also was working on my music career. Seigi had helped me put together a demo of songs, and I sent it off to a record company who actually showed some interest in me. I was waiting for them to contact me to see if they wanted to sign me, and it was looking pretty good. With everything going my way, how could I not be happy? I had a wonderful boyfriend, my music career was starting to take off, and to top it all off, I had gotten 100% on my math exam. Life was good.

Today is the day. I thought, as I was getting ready for Seigi to come over. They're going to call me today, hopefully with good news. The record company I had sent my demo into said that they would call me today and tell me if they wanted to sign me on with them. I was so ecstatic; I kept checking my phone every 5 minutes, hoping that it would ring every time I flipped it open. As I finished cleaning, I heard the doorbell ring. That must be Seigi. I bounced down the steps, my tail flailing behind me, running to the door to greet him with a hug as he walked in. He hugged me back, and everything felt right in the world.

"How are you doing today, babe?" I blushed as he called me babe. I still wasn't used to it, but it was definitely growing on me.

"I'm so excited right now, you have no idea! I can't wait to hear from the record..." Just then, my cell phone rang. My tail started wagging at 1000mph, and I was squealing like a child on Halloween who just got candy. I ran over and flipped open the phone, putting it up to my ear. "Hello?"

"Hello, Mr. Kausn. This is Jeff from Wolfe Records. I'm delighted to inform you that after taking a listen to your demo, we believe that you could be a valuable asset to the company. If you don't mind, we'd like you to come down to our headquarters and possibly look into signing a contract with us."

"I... I would love to! When do you want me to come down?" I almost was overcome with joy. I wanted to jump up and scream right then, but I'd have to wait until I hung up.

"Well, we'd like you to meet us as soon as possible. Is there anyway you could be here in thirty minutes?"

"I can be there in twenty."

"Fantastic! We look forward to meeting you in person, Mr. Kausn."

"I'm looking forward to it also. Is there any chance I could bring a friend?" At this, Seigi perked up and started wagging his tail.

"Of course you may. We'll see you soon, Mr. Kausn." "Alright, see you soon." With that I shut my phone and just looked at Seigi. I smiled uncontrollably as I stared at him, and he smiled back at me with that wolfish grin, just as giddy as I was. "I'm getting a record deal, Seigi." I said it as though it wasn't reality. I couldn't believe my luck. I ran to Seigi, giving him a hug, and patting down his ruffled fur from my earlier hug.

"I'm really happy for you. When you become a big star, I'll be right by your side."

"I wouldn't want it any other way, hun." With that, we reluctantly separated, and I grabbed my guitar and walked outside to my car. Seigi was already waiting for me in the passenger seat. I put my guitar in the trunk and climbed in. As I did so, Seigi leaned over to me and kissed the side of my muzzle. I blushed, and he just laughed. "I can see your nervous, Kausn. You're turning red beneath your fur!" Laughing, I started the car and pulled out onto the road.

"I'm not nervous, I'm just....... Alright! I'm extremely nervous."

"Don't be. Just remember, you're really talented, and you've got a personality that everyone will like. I know I do." With that, he sank back into the seat, relaxing, while my demo version of Need You Now by Lady Antebellum was playing. I thought this was one of my best tracks, because it was my voice, a piano, and a single acoustic guitar. It was picked down to the bare essentials, and it really showcased my vocal range, and how good my voice actually sounded. It was full of emotion, and it was definitely a track that stood out among the rest. I started to sing along with myself, and my ears perked up when Seigi started singing the male harmonies. Seigi had an amazing voice, and I wondered why he never wanted to showcase it. I was perfectly fine singing with him in the car, but I thought for a second how amazing it would be if he sang with me up on stage, in front of thousands of people. That would be amazing.

"Seigi, how come you don't want to be a musician? You have an amazing voice, and I think it would be amazing to sing with you on a stage."

"I don't know. I guess I never really had the drive like you. I'd love to sing on stage too, but I'm not the one getting the record deal, now am I?" He laughed and went back to singing along. An idea was hatching in my head, but it would have to wait, as I was pulling into the parking lot of Wolfe Records.

I walked up to the second floor, with Seigi by my side. I eventually found the conference room; I knocked on the door, hearing a friendly 'Come In.' from the other side. I slowly opened the door and took a step inside. I was shocked to see how many people were in the conference room. There was at least twenty. This is a lot of people. I was instructed to sit down at the chair closest to me, and was told that Jeff Wolfe would be with me shortly. Seigi took a seat next to me, and we both just sat there, looking at everyone in the room. Everyone was looking at us with smiles on their faces, but I could tell that they had never seen anyone like us before. At least, never sitting this close to them. They probably weren't even told that I was a furry. Those things needed to be mentioned. I stood up, clearing my throat.

"Hello, my name is Kausn, and I am very grateful to be here. Now, by the looks you all are giving me, I am assuming no one was informed that I was a furry." Everyone in the room nodded their heads in unison. I chuckled a little. "Well, I'm sorry if I shocked any of you, and I don't mind if you want to ask questions. I'm perfectly aware of how curious you must be, because the news just covers the minimum." As soon as I said that, about fifteen hands shot up in the air. I chose the person closest to me to ask the first question.

"How did you become this?" She asked.

"Well, me and my friend here were basically captured by a mad doctor and she preformed transformed us into half human, half animal hybrids." At that moment, I wagged my tail and everyone in the room looked shocked for a second, and then started to laugh. I picked another person, a man in a brown suit.

"Does being a....furry.... affect your ability to play music?"

"No, it doesn't. In fact, the entire demo CD I put together was recorded after I became who I am. All instruments were recorded by yours truly." I gestured towards myself. This earned some impressed looks from people around the room. Just then, the door opened and Mr. Wolfe entered the room. All talking ceased instantly, and I quickly sat down.

"Mr. Kausn, it's a pleasure to meet you. I've been looking forward to meeting you for a while now." He stuck out his hand, and I shook it with my paw. He seemed a little surprised by the feel of my paw, but quickly got over it and went back to business. "Alright, so as you know, we are very interested in Mr. Kausn here, and we are going to be offering him a contract this afternoon. Now, if I may ask, Mr. Kausn, I am assuming you being a furry doesn't affect your playing ability?"

"No, it does not sir. In fact, the demo I recorded was recorded entirely by me after the incident. All instrumentation and vocals were done by me." I took a seat, waiting to hear what he had to say.

"Excellent!" He beamed. "Now, let's get on with the offer. We are going to offer you, Kausn, a recording contract here at Wolfe Records. If you choose to accept this contract, you are being asked by us to perform a concert. We have advertised it, and it is expected that close to 3,000 people will be attending, along with a handful of radio personalities."

"Really? Well, when will it be held?"

"It will be held at Wolfe Arena, and it is going to be held tonight."

"Tonight?!?"

"Yes, tonight. If and when you sign the contract, we'll set you up in our record studio, and you can begin practicing. We need a minimum of six songs that can be preformed. Can you do that?"

"I'm pretty sure I can."

"Great! So does that mean you accept our offer?" He asked, putting a paper in front of me. I briefly read it over, discovering that it was a contract. I can't believe they expected me to sign on with them. There's almost no way I can refuse though.

"I accept. Where do I sign?"

"Fantastic! Just sign your name on the dotted line, and you officially become part of Wolfe Records." Shaking, I took the pen from my hand and signed my name, taking a second to take in what I had just done. "Welcome to Wolfe Records, Kausn!"

Before I could even take everything that just happened, Seigi and I were whisked away to a recording room down the hallway. I was led into the room, which consisted of a mixer, drums, a baby grand piano, and a plethora of acoustic and electric guitars.

"This is where you can practice. In about three hours, someone will be by to pick you up. Have fun, and make sure you have at least six songs." With that, Mr. Wolfe left the room, leaving me and Seigi alone. I wandered over to the wall with all the acoustic guitars, and I picked up one that caught my eye. It was a cherry red Gibson J-200. I picked it off the wall, and examined the guitar. I couldn't see a single blemish on it. I started to play, and Seigi went over to the piano, playing an accompanying part to what I was playing. I started to sing, and so did Seigi. After that song was finished, I looked at him.

"Ya know, I still don't know why you don't pursue music. You have an amazing voice, and you are really talented."

"I don't know why. I guess I just didn't want to hitch a ride to stardom with you. I wanted to do my own thing, I guess." With that, we started to work on more songs. Within an hour's time, we had about five songs that I felt comfortable playing, and one that Seigi and I were in the process of writing. At hour two, I had about nine songs rehearsed, and about eight that I knew I would do. "Let's take a break." Recommended Seigi.

"Sounds like a good idea. You're going to come tonight, right?"

"Of course! I wouldn't miss it for the world."

"You're great, you know that?" I said, hugging him tightly. Before I realized it, our lips were locked together in a kiss. We broke apart, and went to get something to drink. "I'll ask Mr. Wolfe if I can get you a front row seat. I want to be able to see you when I perform."

"That sounds awesome. I can't wait to see you up on that stage. You seem like you'd be a natural at it." After getting a drink, we went back to the studio and began to work on the very last song, Need You Now. I wanted to perform this last, because I had something special in store. I sat at the piano and began to play, letting the music flow through me. I started to sing the first verse, and I opened my eyes to see Seigi smiling at me, his blue eyes glistening in the light. When the chorus came around, I heard Seigi join in with the harmonies. It was the most beautiful thing I had ever heard. Two voices working in harmony, as if they were one. When the second verse came around, I glanced at Seigi, and he picked up the message. He began to sing the second verse, and I melted away into his voice and the music. When the song finally finished, all we could do is look at each other, taking in the magic that just happened. At that moment, Mr. Wolfe came strolling through the door, and I instantly stood up, greeting him.

"Well, Mr. Kausn, your transportation is ready. If you don't mind we'd like to get going, as the concert starts in half an hour. I'm sorry this is so rushed, but we like to get our new acts out there and let them gain some experience."

"I completely understand, Mr. Wolfe. Listen, can I get my friend Seigi in to see the concert? If I could, I'd be extremely grateful."

"Absolutely. He can ride over with you, and I can arrange for him to have a seat right in front of the stage."

"Thank you so very much. That means a lot to me."

"Your welcome. Now, grab the guitar of your choice and let's get to that concert!" I grabbed the Gibson I was using earlier, and followed Mr. Wolfe down the hallway, out to the parking lot. When I stepped outside, I saw a brand new Chrysler 300 waiting for me. I put the guitar in a case and placed it inside the trunk. As I climbed inside of the car, I felt my fur sink into the comfortable leather, thinking Wow; I can't believe their doing this for me. Seigi climbed in next to me, taking my paw in his. When he was settled, I rested my head on his chest and sighed. It was an unspoken way of saying 'Thank you for being here for me.' He just smiled and rested his head on mine. As we saw the Arena approach, I was getting more and more anxious. Seigi could tell, and he rested his paw on mine.

"You're going to do great. Just don't think about it. Play from here." Seigi said, pointing to my heart. I smiled. He knew exactly what to say and when to say it.

"Thanks, Hun. I'll be looking for you in the crowd."

"I'll be in there, cheering you on."

The car stopped, and I opened the door and got out. I grabbed my guitar from the trunk, giving Seigi one last smile. With that, I was whisked away into the back entrance, and then into a dressing room. There was a selection of clothes there, all in my size. I picked out a plain black t shirt with a red jacket, a pair of faded blue jeans, and a guitar pick necklace. I sat there, looking at myself in the mirror. The black shirt really brought out my white and blue fur, and the red jacket tied everything off. As I sat there examining myself, someone came running into the room.

"You're on in five, Mr. Kausn." He left as abruptly as he entered. I gave myself one last glance, adjusting my hair before I grabbed the guitar and made my way to the stage. While approaching the back of the stage, I saw Mr. Wolfe there smiling.

"Go out there and have a blast. Keep the crowd involved." With that, he pulled apart a curtain and I ran out on stage, hearing thunderous applause as I ran out. I looked around, taking in everything, waving at people who were waving at me. There has to be at least 2500 people here. In reality, there were over 4000 people in that arena. I looked around the front row, and spotted Seigi, standing up and smiling at me. I smiled back, and then took my place in front of the mic.

"How's everyone doing tonight?" I asked into the microphone. More thunderous cheers and I smiled. "Well, I'm glad you all are having a good time tonight. If you don't know me, my name is Kausn, and I'm your entertainment for tonight. Let's get this party started, shall we?" More cheers came from the audience. I found the cord to plug my guitar into, plugged it in, and started to play. I decided to open up with Can't Take My Eyes off You, since that song was the first song Seigi and I danced to, and it held a special place in my heart. As I finished the song, I heard the crowd cheer, even louder than when I ran out. I knew I had put emotion into it, but I guess the crowd liked my vibe even better, because the cheering went on for about 2 minutes. When everything died down, I moved over to the grand piano that was there, and began to play A Thousand Miles by Vanessa Carlton. The whole crowd erupted in cheers, and sang along with me as I sang. As the concert progressed, the crowd started getting more into it, singing along, dancing, and even saying things like 'I love you Kausn!' I glanced at Seigi after every one of these comments, but he just laughed and smiled at me. I played range of songs from a range of genres including; If I Am by Nine Days, Jumper by Third Eye Blind, Through Glass by Stone Sour, Moves Like Jagger by Maroon 5, Learning to Fly by Tom Petty, Skyscraper by Demi Lovato, Your Song by Elton John, and The Good Life by yours truly. After the last song, I said goodbye and walked off stage, but left my guitar up there. The crowd picked up on this hint, and began chanting 'Encore!' Mr. Wolfe was waiting for me right off the stage, smiling a huge smile.

"You went above and beyond my expectations. I think this is going to be a great partnership."

"Thank you very much, Mr. Wolfe. Now, I think I need to get back out there and perform one last song. The crowd seems to be going nuts."

"So they are. You did fantastic. Now, go close this up." I left him there, reentering the stage, trotting over to the piano. The crowd cheers died down as I sat there, waiting.

"Ok guys. You wanted an encore, so I'm going to give you one." The crowd went wild, cheering and whistling at my statement. "But, I think I'm going to need some help with this song. Could I please have Seigi come up to the stage please?" I looked at him, and I saw him blush, and look away. "Oh come on." I said, and he looked at me and jumped up onto the stage. I handed the mic that I had in my hand to him.

"What are you doing?" He asked me. There was a hint of embarrassment in his voice, which made me laugh.

"Just follow along." I told him. With that, I put my hands on the piano and started to play Need You Now. The look on his face was priceless as he realized what was in store. It was first a look of disbelief, but it quickly turned into look of pure giddiness and joy. I started out the first verse, looking at him the entire time I sang.

Picture perfect memories Scattered all around the floor Reaching for the phone 'cause I can't fight it anymore.

And I wonder if I Ever cross your mind For me it happens all the time.

Hearing his voice made me melt away into the music. This was really romantic, it was fun, and it was what I wanted. I continued the song.

It's a quarter after one I'm all alone And I need you now Said I wouldn't call But I've lost all control And I need you now

And I don't know how

I can do without,

I just Need You Now.

I looked at him as he sang. Without him playing an instrument, he was able to focus on the visual aspect. He was telling a story as he sang. It was beautiful. As he started the second verse, I couldn't help but tearing up a little bit at how he sounded. He was amazing.

Another shot of whiskey Can't stop looking at the door Wishing you'd come sweeping In the way you did before.

And I wonder if I Ever cross your mind For me it happens all the time.

It's a quarter after one I'm a little drunk And I need you now Said I wouldn't call But I've lost all control And I need you now.

Slowly, he made his way over the piano, and climbed on top of it, laying his furry self inches from my face.

And I don't know how I can do without I just need you now.

Whoa, whoa Guess I'd rather hurt Than feel nothing at all.

The world seemed to pause. The music was resonating throughout the room, and I got lost in Seigi's eyes. He was inches from my face, staring at me the way only lovers can. After what seemed like an eternity, but in actuality, was only about 1 second, I resumed playing and singing.

It's a quarter after one I'm all alone And I need you now

And I said I wouldn't call But I'm a little drunk And I need you now

And I don't know how I can do without I just need you now I just need you now

Oh baby, I need you now.

As the song came to a close, he was still inches away from my face, looking at me with those loving blue eyes. Before the moment was lost, I leaned in and kissed him, in front of everyone that was watching. The kiss was passionate, but was still suitable for a public place. After about ten seconds we parted, still looking at each other. The crowd was silent, but only for about another millisecond. Then the entire place erupted in cheers, louder than anything I had ever heard before. It was exhilarating. I didn't want this moment to end. Here, with Seigi, was perfect. I reluctantly tore my gaze away from Seigi, and turned it toward the crowd. They all seemed really supportive, still cheering in a way that words cannot describe. I told them that I hoped they enjoyed the performance, and to have a great night, although I'm not sure if they heard me over their own cheering. I exited the stage with Seigi, his paw in mine, and went back to the dressing room. I expected to see Mr. Wolfe, but I didn't see him anywhere. When I opened the door to the dressing room, I saw Mr. Wolfe, sitting in a chair, smiling at me.

"That was some performance." He sounded sincere, but I wasn't quite sure.

"Listen, Mr. Wolfe...."

"No need to explain. Love is a crazy thing. And I can see that you two definitely love each other." To that, I started wagging my tail. He was fine with all this. "Listen, after that performance, I can see that you two work amazingly together. I've have come to the decision that I want to sign you both on, as a duo." I looked over a Seigi, who had a look of pure disbelief on his face. I smiled and my tail started wagging at 1000 mph as I though of Seigi performing by my side every night.

"Are you serious?" asked Seigi. He was still recovering from the amazing performance he gave just five minutes before.

"I am completely serious." Seigi then started to tear up, and I ran over and hugged him. "So, do we have ourselves a deal?" asked Mr. Wolfe.

"Of course we do! Thank you so very much." Seigi said, still wrapped up in my arms.

"Great! Now, I'll leave you two alone so you can recover." Mr. Wolfe then exited the room, smiling as he went out. Seigi and I went over to the couch and sat down, grinning at each other like little school girls.

"You just got yourself a record deal, Seigi."

"It was all thanks to you. I had a blast tonight. I still can't believe that we'll be performing together."

"I know. It will be amazing, especially with you there." I rested my head on his chest, sighing peacefully. He took my paw in his, and kissed it ever so gently. We fell asleep like this, my head resting on Seigi's furry chest, and our paws intertwined. Mr. Wolfe came in and just smiled. He knew he had made the right decision signing these two on together. He knew that they would go big someday, and the thought of someone else making it in this world made him smile even wider.

Hopefully you enjoyed it. Leave me comments if you think something could have been written better or whatnot. Dont worry, there will be more to come. :D
