"I can't believe it; at last I have my own Spirit Weapon!" Max held his new tool ...

"I can't believe it; at last I have my own Spirit Weapon!" Max held his new tool of battling in his claws as he swung it slowly, left and right; an huge grin on his muzzle that showed off all his teethes. Brandon tried to smile at the Pokémon new found happiness, but something was nudging him in the back of his mind. It was what Lucario just spoke to them about: being chosen to stop some sort of plight that would come to this world, with the help of Max here, like the other two groups before them. Is true he did wish to help all he could, but could he really allow the world weight to be on his and Max's shoulders like this? "Hey Brandon...you okay?" Brandon looked up slightly, no even noticing that his head was even down to began with, and he saw that Max now held the hammer on his shoulder, holding onto the hilt as tilted his head to the side. "You seem...out of you."

"Well, yeah. I kinda am," Brandon agreed with a small sigh. "I mean...look, don't get me wrong, I'm happy that you have a Spirit Weapon now, but...us having the world's fate on our shoulders...it does kinda feel heavy now for you buddy?"

"Oh don't be like that," Max smiled and patted the Charmander's back softly. "What kind of friend would I be if I let you be all down in the dump?"

"Friend?" asked Brandon as Max nodded.

"Well yeah, what, you don't want to be friends?" Brandon saw the look in his eyes and only nodded with a smile.

"Sure," he answered. "We can be friends if you want!" Max gave a small gleefully cry and hugged his newly friend tightly, the gustier catching the Charmander off guard for a moment, but let it slide as he hugged Totodile with his left arm, his right busy holding the sharp blade, thinking of what they will do next.

The two making their way into town, their weapons still drawn: they were not taught of how to retrace them back into their body as many could. Brandon for the first time saw how the place looked. They stood in the middle of the small town, a shop to the east of them, followed by another shop where you could store your items that you didn't wish to be parted with, a bank right behind them with a greedy looking Pokémon behind the counter, but all knew that she would never truly steal the money there. The Dojo path was just to the north where they came from just moments before, the tip of the large tower, as Max told him before entering, was called the Tower of Fate, saying only the best had ever reached the top of it. To the south the smell of the ocean and the crashing roar of the waves hitting the sandy beaches were heard as Max took a deep breath of the salty air that roamed all around them. Many of the Pokémon that were around took one look at Brandon, finding him slightly evil looking and made their way past the duo quickly. Max leading Brandon toward where his home was located but were stopped by a kind voice calling out them.

"Excuse me you two, can you do me a favour?" the two friends turned to their side to see the owner of the storage shop, the large mud brown and yellow underbelly Pokémon towered over the two: a pouch on her belly as she wore a warm smile.

"Um, sure," Max answered as he walked up toward the counter with Brandon beside him. The Pokémon before them gave a look to Brandon, but not the kind like the others gave him, it was like she didn't care how he looked like. "What is it that you need?"

"Well," she answered nodding her head. "I couldn't help but see that you two are carrying your Spirit Weapons around, do you not know how to call them back?"

"No we don't" Brandon answered leaning his on the side of the counter. "You know how do it?" the Kangaskhan shook her head but still held the large smile on her face.

"No," she answered. "But I have something better. As you know," she answered going to the back of her shop as Brandon and Max gave each other a glance. "Before the time of Spirit Weapons, we Pokémon fought with our own claws or paws. But once we learnt of this, the need for bags also went away because many could pull them into themselves like their weapons." She came out again carrying a box in her claws and brought it down on the counter, opening it and pulled out two items. Each looked to be arm gaurds, which could cover the claws or paws of the Pokémon and reach up to their shoulder. They bore no color save silver as she pushed the two toward the two. "Go on, try them on!" the tow once more turned to each other and shrugged, Brandon going for the one closest to him first, slipping it on. It was a little big at first, but soon it shivered and clipped around his arm until fit snugly on his arm and around the claws. The same thing happened to Max as he yelped in surprised, the arm guards glowing until they almost matched their wearers own color. "I call these Spirit Holders, the allow the user to store just about anything into them with a limit of course, but even so, it's a lot easier then carrying a bag filled with items or your Sprit Weapons right?" Max tilted his arm to take a good look at it, wonder as well as Brandon who at once picked up his sword and swung it around to see if anything had changed in his movement: nothing change. "And the way to put them in, is by just thinking it, go on try it!" Max was the first to try it, holding his Hammer: closed his eyes as the hammer glowed with a slight purple light and after turned into pure light, immediately sucked into his gallant. Brandon also doing the same thing, but the light that went around his sword was a black as Max looked up with a grin.

"This is so cool!" he cried out. "What I would give to have one like this!"

"Then it is yours."

"What? Without pay them?" asked Brandon as the Pokémon laughed slightly and smiled.

"Well, if Pokémon see what you wear, it will make them want to get one too, and I'm sure that if I sell them here as well, well then, I'll have enough money to last me more then I get paid for keeping items here!"

"That's true," Max answered with a nod. "Well thank you very much Kangaskhan!"

"Was my pleasure little ones. Have a nice day and come back soon!"

Once more, with their new pieces of items holding onto their arms, they were about to leave to Max's house, when the sound of pleads and cried were heard.

"Please, you must help him!" came the small voice of a young Pokémon. Brandon turned back to see that the Pokémon was a small Weedle, looking like a small worm in a way it's body space of all round orbs with two set of purple feet on each orb. One large purple nose and a set of begging eyes glistened with freshly tears.

"Forget it kid!" the one spoke to the small Pokémon with a sound full of anger, his voice rough as he snorted. Brandon saw that this Pokémon was large, very large, his body looking like a large green armor alone, large horns and spikes going down his back as the Pokémon named Tyranitar snorted again. "You got no cash; you got no way for me to save your idiot of a friend!"

"B...but all those Shadow Pokémon in there...will kill him!"

"Well boo hoo for him then isn't it?" the Pokémon laughed loudly as the child Pokémon started to cry a bit, everyone that was watching looked away in disbelief on how this Pokémon could say such a thing to the child.

"We'll save your friend!" everyone looked over to see Brandon and Max walk up, Brandon in front until Max stood next to him. "And don't worry about payment ether; we can't let a kid in a place like that so dangerous alone!"

"Really?" the Weedle sniffled a bit moving up to the duo before him as Max nodded.

"Yeah," he answered. "Like my friend said, we can't allow your friend to be in danger, that's just not how Team Legendz works!" slight mutters were heard on how these two were a team or group, as the Tyranitar made his way up behind the Pokémon and glared down at the two before him.

"Who do you think you two are?" he asked with a slight glare. "You think you two can go in and save this brat's friend with nothing but those arm guards?" Brandon and Max smiled and pulled out their claw, their Spirit Weapons appearing in their hands: everyone eyes nearly popped out of their heads seeing the Hammer and Sword they held as the two nodded their heads.

"Oh I think we can handle ourselves, now, Weedle, where is your friend?"

The trio made their way to the spot the Weedle mentioned, taking them deep into the woods, the very same woods where Brandon and Max first met. The two kept looking around, thinking that Shadow Lucario would jump out on them at any moment, but he never did which allowed them to breathe a small sigh of relief. Weedle stopped before a large cave opening, the mouth of the cave looking up like a mouth indeed. The jagged rocks looking like jaws that would threaten to shut on anyone who dare walk in on them. Max looked a little worry, and even Brandon did as well. True he could fight, but the different now was that he was now a Pokémon, so the way of his fighting; was very different.

"She went in there," he pointed out, the small bug type Pokémon moving forward to the mouth of the cave. "We were playing Hide and Seek, and well...I kinda cheated and peeked at where she was going to hide." He looked down slightly ashamed at saying that. "But we were always told never to go into this cave, I don't know why she went in there, but she hasn't come out yet!"

"Alright Weedle," Max answered looking back at him. "You go back to PokéTown; we'll bring your friend back safe and sound."

"Thank you..." he whispered and made his way back toward the town of which they came.

"So what do you think?" asked Max looking at Brandon as he held his sword on his shoulder, carful not to cut himself. "Think we can save this Pokémon that's in there?"

"No doubt," Brandon answered with a nod. "We just have to be careful, we don't know what's in there and we don't really have a lot of skill with our weapons yet." Max only nodded looking back into the cave's mouth, closing his eyes he thought for only a moment and again nodded.

"Well then," he answered. "Let's go!"

They were about to enter when Max stopped him to say somthingthing that made Brandon stop and smile.

"You're such a nice person Brandon," He answered looking at his back. "I mean, risking your life to save a kid you don't even know, you even...even saved me and yo didn't know me; why?"

"I couldn't allow someone to die when i was around," he spoke with truth in his voice. "I did it because it was the right thing to do."

Putting his blue paw on the black shoulder of Charmender for he gave him some strength and courage; he was sure that Brandon did not have experience in all this at all, going into a cave to save someone, but he knew, that as long as they worked together, nothing could stop them!

"Let's go".

The duo making their way into the cave and were both surprised that there were tunnels' leading down into the ground, making the cave much, much larger then it really was! Going deeper into the tunnel, they made their way over gaps in the ground, and fought some Pokémon, but these kinds seemed somewhat mindless and were easily beaten, even without their SP's. They continued in this mission until they at last came to the last floor of the cave; the two of them looking around, since they couldn't find the Pokémon anywhere else, knew she was already out, or she was somewhere here. Like always, Max took the first step forward, looking all around as if the empty room would just spit her out. Rubbing the back of his head , turned back to Brandon and shrugged his shoulder.

"Where is she?" he asked as Brandon shrugged too, until something was heard, the clicking of metal to a rock as it echoed all around them. Both of their snapping back and forth as the sounds echoed louder and louder, until a soft thud was heard behind them, blocking the way they did. the one before them held what seemed to be white yellow like fur, nose a little too big and ears like a fox. Brandon knew what Pokémon was; was none other than a Mankey. The monkey Pokémon held what seemed to be a dagger in his little paws, but this dagger was different then a norm one, was letting off a aura feeling much like Brandon's and Max's weapons.

"Well, well, well," the voice sounded female as she twirled the dagger around her paw. "Two more kids eenteredin MY cave?"

"Entered where???" Brandon asked.

"Kids!?" Max yelled as three more thuds were heard, looking behind them, they found that three more Mankeys landed behind them, all with their own little dagger much like the one before them. The female only chuckled and moved forward, causing the duo to back away, only to stop when the sound of hissing behind them were heard.

"Yes," she answered. "Maybe you did not know kids, this here, is my home, and you like that little bug female that came in here just for get my land for herself!"

"That's not true!" Brandon answered moving forward slightly. "She was just playing with her friend. This is way we came here, for take here at home, nothing else. You allow us to do that and we will leave immediately."

"Lies!" she screeched loudly stabbing her dagger forward, not close enough to hit Brandon, but enough to make him jump back just in case. "Just like her you have come to steal my land, well, you will die here, or...I will give you the choice of being my slave like her!" she wore a wicked smiled as Brandon growled deeply, as well as Max.

"You will release her!" Max ordered as everyone but him and Brandon laughed.

"You giving me orders?" she asked tusking her tongue. "Fine, I'll make you a deal, beat me and my clan in battle and we will release the female, or, if you lose, you are my slaves for life!" the other Pokémon who all held daggers snickered and moved closer as Brandon and Max got closer to each other, taking out their own Spirit Weapons as Brandon eyes darted from the one in front of them, to the one behind them.

"So friend, wanna fight with the boss or with the monkey behind?" Max whispered to Max who nodded the same. "You take care of that female right now, I have a sword so I can move a bit faster then you with a hammer. Be ready if someone get to close to you, is not easy to fight with all this pokemon." Max nodded again as Brandon nodded back, the first of the other three Mankeys ran right for Brandon, dagger out as he jumped high into the air, ready to bring the black Pokémon life to a end. The Charmander brought his sword out ready for the attack as the dagger and sword met with the clash of sound and sparks, at once the other three jumped forward to kill the two as well. Max gripped his hammer tightly and swung as hard as he could toward the leader of the group, she only grin and held a paw out, gripping the edge of the hammer as Max went for the back swing, flipping over his and Brandon's head.

"Brandon now!" at once Bandon did, the one he was fighting lost his standing as Max then swung again, the metal slamming into the skull of the Pokémon hard; the loudest cracking sound was heard, not even the sound of him screaming in pain was heard as was flung into the cave wall from the force of the attack, red blood painting the wall as the dagger was dropped, smashed into pieces, proving that he was truly dead. But even then it was not done yet, the other two males went for Max, screeching loudly as they jabbed their daggers toward his chest, this time Brandon saving Max by bringing his blade out in intercept the oncoming blows. The tips hitting the blunt part of the blade as Brandon's arms struggled to hold them both back until he let out a loud roar and did a side slash, making the two back away as their daggers flew right of their paws. Brandon and Max jumping at once to bring their own down at the two, Max crush another skull, Brandon cutting the head down the middle.

The only left was the female Mankey that saw the whole thing with her eyes: her followers dead because of two Pokémon.Brandon slowly turning to her, flicking his blade making the blood on it splatter on the ground as Max called his hammer back within his arm guard.

"Now," Brandon hissed slightly, his gold eyes flashing. "I'll ask you one more time...where is the child!?" At first the Pokémon didn't say anything but then only glared and turned away from them.

"Down that cave," she pointed behind them as Max looked back to indeed found another cave opening. "Take her and leave my cave," Brandon gave her one last look and called back his own weapon, looking to Max who nodded to him and led the way down toward the cave.

Deeper the two made their way down, finding bones strapped to chains of the victims the four Mankeys took before the one they were going to save. The sound of soft crying was easily heard throughout the cave, the two making their way deeper until they came to a small room, and a small yellow Pokémon lying on the ground. The Pokémon was all yellow save for the four blue feet that were seen below it as well as its four blue eyes on its face. It looked like a small spider, but unlike a spider, it looked spiked in different places, showing that it possessed other powers other then bug. She was shivering and crying, holding herself in a tight yellow ball, sniffing as Brandon moved closer with Max as he knelt down on one knee.

"Hey there, are you alright?" asked Brandon as the Pokémon opened her eyes to look at the black Pokémon looking back at her.

"W...who are you?" she asked softly as Brandon smiled.

"My name is Brandon," he answered. "This is my friend Max; we're here to save you."

"How did you..."

"Your friend Weedle," Answered Max walking up. "He told us you came in here and didn't come out, he came looking for help, and we offered our services to help out." Brandon nodded and called forth his blade once more, pointing it at the chain and swung hard, snapping it off with ease. The Pokémon yelped out in shock at first, but claimed down after a while. "Now," Max went on. "Let's get you out of here."

The pokemon could not walk with her only force and so Max help her, take the kid in his arm, under the gaze of Charmender that was listening the words of Max, reassuringthe little pokemon that everything was finished and close her eyes, for not look all that blood.

"Joltik!" Weedle cried moving as fast as he could toward his friend. "You're alright! I'm so glad!"

"Yeah..." she answered as she nodded. "Thanks to Team Legendz, thank you both," she turned to them as Brandon and Max smiled.

"No need for thanks," the blue Pokémon answered with a smile, hugging his black friend with one arm. "We were glad to help, but I think you two should stay away from places you're not allowed in anymore, alright?"

"We will," they both said at once as they more they thanked the duo, and made their way toward the town. Brandon smiled softly at seeing the two make their way back home, seeing that with the help of Max, saved a child life. That's when the weight of what happened made its way to his very soul. They had killed three Pokémon to save just one, to save one life...he killed. He sat down at once on the ground, his breathing hot and heavy as Max turned to him and was by his side at once.

"Brandon!" he shouted. "What's wrong, are you okay?!"

"Y...yeah," he answered softly. "Just...the shock of what we did is now coming on me, we...we killed them Max..."

"I know," he answered. "But I don't think we really had a choice of the matter, I mean, if we didn't, we might have died. I know it's hard...but along the way, we will have to no doubt about killing to stay alive ourselves, or to save the ones that need our help." Brandon thought about this for a moment, Max did say many true things there and he knew this. Though he didn't like the idea, the thoughts of what that voice said in his dreams rang in his head.

"Pokémon whose heart have fallen into the blackness of hatred and greed, they care for only pain, and more power, which their master can give them." Did the voice really mean these Pokémon as well? Brandon didn't know, and he knew he wasn't going to know for a while, so sighing he stood up with the help of Max, making their way back to the small town.

"Tonight," Max answered holding Brandon's shoulder to keep him steady. "We will go out, you need to claim your mind of all these bad thoughtss, but before that...we must go home, we need some rest and a nice shower, I hate the feeling of blood on my chest".

Brandon only nodded.

"I have heard of your deed, young Max and Brandon," Lucario, Max's master, was standing outside of the alligator home of which Brandon was now staying with him, she was leaning on the wall beside the door, arms crossed looking at them. "And I heard it was successful, good work."

"Thanks," Max piped up. "But those Pokémon...was that really their land?"

"No," she shook her head slightly. "They just claimed it to be there's for they thought they were the strongest, but I would as you told the children, to stay away from there."

"Wait you saw?" Brandon demanded as she nodded her head. "Then why didn't you help?!"

"You have taken the job to fight the forces of evil and shadows," she answered. "You must learn to fight with your own power, not those who can easily have beaten them; or you will never grow." Brandon only grumbled and closed his eyes, he knew she was right and he had no reason for him to be enraged by her, so slowing his breathing he nodded slightly as she then turned to Max. "And I am glad to see you can use that hammer well, when you two are ready, I wish to test you both in the way of fighting."

"What do you mean?" asked Max as Lucario smiled softly.

"Come to my Dojo when you think you are ready, and I will show you."

"Ok master but if you can leave now...we are both tired and covered in blood. This is a little disgusting".

Lucario give him right and left the two alone but before she talked with Max

"You right. Stay always with the human...and go out, you'veearneda rest".

"Sure master. I will always have an eye on him...".

Lucario looked him for a moment and went away while Totodile was laughing to himself.

Meanwhile, in the darkest part of the Pokémon world, the Shadow Lucario slowly made his way deep inside his master's chambers. The right side of his body and face was twisted and mangled, thanks to Brandon unleashing his Flamethrower attack on him, his right eye slightly opened, but not all the way because of the scar he would forever hold. Standing outside the door, he was about to call out his arrival, when the doors slowly opened. The inside was dimly lit with small flames, making the room more eerie then it should've been. Long black and red drapes covered the windows, the Pokémon made his way slowly toward the middle of the room, the design of two Pokémon, one of light and one of darkness easily seen on the picture.

"You were easily defeated?" came a soft voice in front of the Lucario, at once he went down on his knee and held his head down, his body somewhat shaking, having seen what his master could do when angry.

"Y...yes my master," the Pokémon stammered. "I...could've had that blue one, if...if that Shadow Pokémon hadn't intervened!"

"That wasn't a shadow pokemon or one of my helper," the voice went on, deep red eyes flashing in the darkness. "I should've known that he would send another."

"Another, master?" the Lucario looked up, thinking he was not going to be killed as a small grunt of agreement was heard.

"Do you know the legends of the humans that came to this world to stop a great plight?"

"Yes master," Lucario answered standing up fully. "It was said that two humans, one from the human world, and another from the future came to our own to stop something that would destroy the world!" he paused for a moment then looked up slightly at his master's hidden form. "Was that your doing master?"

"The first was somewhat my doing," he answered truthfully. "The comet would've soon hit this world, but in the next thousand years, I just changed its cruse so it would come here faster. The second was all my doing yes, to make time freeze and bring the Pokémon to a endless nightmare! But these were nothing compeer to what I can do now!" a soft chuckle was heard as the flames flickered in the room. "Now that his hold on me is weakening enough, I can have my chance at making this world my own!"

"But master," Shadow Lucario went on. "What does this have to do with the Charmander?"

"He is a human," his master spoke. "I have felt it even from here, though his power...it is unlike that I have seen...hrm..." all was silence for a moment until a slight chuckle. "Shadow," the Pokémon straighten up at the sound of his name. "Bring me this Charmander, alive, I wish to see how much his power can reach, so that I can...do something to him, he may be of some use to us."

"As you wish," Shadow bowed again. "My master."
