#23 of Pokè-Treat

As I promised details of the new breed is below. Give me ideas on this new creature of mine ^^

(c) to respective owners

"Why!?" Azu pouted as Lisa forced her to sit down with the rest of the team for breakfast.

"Because this is what children do for their senile folks. So, shut up and eat. Jason is alive and well, he's just evolving. After we eat, I can describe what's inside that thing if you wish."

"Fine, but I want every detail."

"If you think I am going to describe his gear to you, your nuts. As much as I would love to look, I had to promise him to think of him as a father and not a possible mate. I am still bound to that promise even now."

"Fine..." Azu sighed and pushed the Oran berry. "Oh, and you call me 'mom' again, I will kill you."

"Don't think Jason would like that." Lisa popped a pawful of nuts into her mouth. "Just eat, while he's out of commission, I'm head Trainer."

Azu growled but did pop the berry into her mouth.

"Thank you."

"You done?"

Lisa sighed, "Let's get somewhere quiet and private."

Grace watched silently, Moon, of course, was updating the events to her. But even in her own private silence, she could not keep herself from screaming and shouting for her adoptive father. She was trapped in Moon's barrier like the others when things started going to hell. But now... she was grateful Moon did do that. With a sigh, she tugged Moon's tail and left the table.

So what are you planning?

Nothing, Moon, Lisa is in charge. There is nothing I can do but sit and wait. Though I do want to be close to him should he hatch. I want to see that first moment.

Is this because you think you will never have a mate?

Grace glared at the Espeon. No, I just care for him. I finally understand why he wanted us as daughters. He felt responsible for me the moment I stumbled into your camp and Lisa just would not let him take me. We have been sisters since my birth. It is only right that we remain so. He saved us from a fate of possible separation. I am grateful for that.

I see. Moon watched the Plusle's face melt down into varying emotions. She could agree with what her Trainer said about the boy. She, too, was saved that way. At least he is still trying to keep Shadow at her side, for the most part anyway. I think there is a balcony above the hall. We might want to tell the others in case they want to join our silent watch.

Do it.

It only took a second to tell the rest of the team, including Maylene's, where to find them. Many of them wanted to join, especially Champ. That brute wanted to be right there at the cocoon, but Sam and Flame both told him no. Miguel stretched and shifted slightly as his wings shifted back into their metal casings, he had raced over to the two not wanting to miss the chance to witness the birth of a new breed of Pokèmon.

"Screw worrying." The old bug chuckled. "I worried about worrying back when I was about to lose my wings. I want to say I was there to witness the birthing of a new breed and test its strength straight from the rock it was birthed." You ARE not fighting Jason!

"Who said it will still be Jason once it hatches?"

Everyone but you.

"Meh, whatever. But if he starts to fight, I'll be the one to take it on first." The Scizor clacked his pincers together.

"How can you say that!?" Moon all-but shouted.

"I'm old; far past my prime. I would rather die fighting a friend than rocking a hatchling."

"He'd just revive you anyway." "Doubtful. The Law of Equivalence, dear know-it-all: To receive something, something of equal value must be given in its place. I may not be a genius, but even I know that he has to sacrifice himself in order for him to return a life. That's why he cuts himself and places his blood within the victims he's saved. He's offering blood for blood. Something for nothing eventually will fall apart leaving a gap that will start to devour all."

"Huh?"

"It's old school science. Better known as alchemy but I doubt a pup like you would even care. Science is in every being, hell, every time someone mates they do the most basic alchemy there is. They create a life by giving a part of each other's flesh: the egg and the seed."

"Where did you learn this?" Moon levitated to Miguel's eye level and glared at him.

"Someone had to teach Adrian the fundamentals of human understanding. He sure as hell didn't learn it on his own just like I didn't. I had a master before Jason, though not a Trainer."

"Just how old are you?"

"I'm closing in on my thirtieth winter."

"But your kind don't live that long."

"Exactly. My master...well, I don't want to talk about what she did to me."

"Okay..."

"Let's get going, I don't want to miss anything."

Lisa opened a door that opened into a closet near the Main Hall, they closed themselves off to the world and sat in the dark. Lisa sighed and allowed her vision to adjust. Azu whimpered, not out of fear, but worry for her mate.

"Just let me do my thing, alright?"

"Sure."

Lisa concentrated her ability and focused on the chrysalis that held Jason. "Right, I got him. From what I can see... I see that his body has formed a rocky shell. Almost like a Blastoise, yet there is a single cannon slot behind the head. The face is rounded, there's a small hooked beak. I can make out... three claws on each arm. There's a stubby tail. Short legs with two slashing claws as toes. He's dark, but I can't make out a color. I would say brown, but I'm not sure. Over all, I feel that he is fighting the change. He may be able to revert back or be able use illusionary techniques like Zorua. It's hard telling until he breaks free."

"That's it?"

"There's only so much Aura can depict. It's not a true sight. It's mostly for reading emotions."

Azu growled then sighed, "Sorry."

"You worry about him, it's natural. He's your Trainer and mate. But this time, he needs his fellows. Let's go give the Trio a break."

"But..."

"Let's go."

**************

"Welcome back." Loraline stretched as Sam and Flame returned to their post.

"Well, there is nothing in the archives about this." Flame sat beside the rock and brushed her tail against it. "It seems like we just have to wait this out and hope for the best."

"What about Azu? She's going to end up freaking out again, I just know it." Sam shivered then slumped down. "I mean, I really don't want her to be alone until he hatches or whatever."

"No kidding, she might try to break him free again. And if he's using our energies to evolve, then we need to keep her away." Loraline shifted slightly as she looked away from the two.

"Our what?" Flame hissed.

"Lean against him and share your power, it's the only way I can explain it. Just don't fall asleep while touching it. I don't have any Thunder left in me. I'm recharging, but slowly."

"Guess that could be one way to expel this excess energy. Alright... just lean against him?"

"Yeah, just be careful."

Flame leaned against the rock and smiled as she first saw Lisa enter the room. The Lucario wasn't smiling as she normally did, then Flame saw why: Azu. The Entei stayed on the floor while she cleared her throat to get the other two's attention.

"Lisa, can you find Zorua? I think he needs to join us."

"Sure, but..." Lisa silenced herself as Flame nodded slowly. "I'll go get him."

Lisa left the Azumarill with the Trio and went on her search. Azu sat down away from the larger Pokèmon and stared blankly at the rock behind the three. Sam sighed and stood then started to pace slowly around the rock. Loraline just laid then rolled on her back and closed her eyes.

"He's turned into a turtle thing. Lisa said he was struggling to stay human." Azu said quietly.

"You think that he'll go back?" Loraline opened an eye to stare at her smaller companion.

"Yes. He can't stay a Trainer if he transforms."

"Then he needs to learn illusionary techniques if he can't."

"Loraline! Geez, we're trying to keep her calm minded not worry her out more."

"Sorry, I'm just being honest."

"Enough, girls, I don't want to break up a cat fight that I really would want to watch in the center of a mud pit."

"So not right." Loraline snorted and did not see Sam wink at his mate.

"I might just think about that after I give birth." Flame stifled a laugh as she caught on to Sam's plan.

"We could take bets and see who Hazel shouts for. I would bet he would shot for Flame. I know she'd come on top no matter what."

"Oh that's it!" Loraline flipped over then went into a straight charge at Sam. She began to slide as a wall of rock emerged from the floor and she ran face first into it. "OW!"

"I think Jason doesn't want us wrestling." Sam examined the wall from his side. "Interesting, this looks solid but it's nothing but energy. He is definitely doing this but he can't fully focus it. He obviously needs silence. Let's give it to him."

"Sam's right, Jason needs to rest. Azu, we'll be close by, but don't do anything reckless. You saw what happened. Let's go."

Azu watched the Trio leave and Lisa return with Zorua in her arms. The pup struggled to get free. Lisa chuckled as he tried to bite her paws. Lisa sat him down at Jason's cocoon and tapped his nose.

"Hush, Jason needs your help. All you have to do is lean against him for a while."

"The rock is him? Good illusion... wait," Zorua sniffed the rock and chuckled. "That is real. Good trick. Who trapped him?"

"Arceus started it. We did the final act."

"We?"

"The team."

"Ah. Well, if he can learn my tricks by me leaning against him, so be it. I don't see how that will work though." Zorua placed a paw on the surface and cocked his head. "Feels funny. It's kind of like something is pinching me."

"If it starts to feel worse, break away from it."

"Kay."

Lisa and Azu sat and watched quietly. After a few minutes, Zorua shivered and backed away. Lisa scanned the pup's Aura then looked away.

"Zorua, just how old are you?"

"Um, five winters or so." Zorua flinched slightly.

"Ah, that explains that then. Go fix yourself. I don't know what you shared with him nor do I care. But it is not proper to walk around sporting yourself."

"Huh?"

"Look under your tail."

"My tail?" Zorua lifted his leg and bent to look under himself and saw his partially erect member showing. "Oh! Heh, s'cuse me."

Lisa heard the clatter of claws. "That was rather cute, but I think it's time he starts thinking about a life mate. Now that his task is done, I'm going to scoot over there somewhere and take a nap. Don't try to harm him."

"I won't."

That hurt... Where did the white go? Don't tell me I'm in my body again. I guess this means I'm in my second stage. What to do, what to do. Hmm, what's that? Ooh, more power... yay... just what I need. Wait that's... Zorua? What is that pup doing?

Jason, can you here me? I'm here to teach you what Mimaw taught me. Just take it in so you can use it. I don't know what will happen, but at least I can say that I helped you.

"Zorua... don't." A garbled, deep voice thundered in the enclosed place. Jason's head pounded making him immediately regret trying to speak. A sharp pain struck his mind again then he began to envision something...

...warm...

"Listen, my little one, using the power of Illusion is difficult at first but over time you can even fool Humans. Though only masters can speak to all while keeping the illusion. I for one haven't mastered that yet. Doubtful that I ever will. I didn't have anyone to teach me... unlike you..."

Years zoomed by as lessons grew more intense, Jason observed and absorbed every bit. The memories slowed as Zoroark placed her pup into the bed made of field grass.

"Sleep, little one, I shan't be far from you. A creature of old wishes to speak to me."

The memory skipped slightly as Mimaw crept out of the cave, the shortened sight level followed silently.

"... asleep?" A voice muttered as the memory got to a vantage point at the entrance.

"Yes," Mimaw had her tail lifted, she was not threatened by this stranger. "What did you want to talk about, Victor?"

"Your pup, he's mine... isn't he?"

"I believe so, Victini even blessed his birth. He played the midwife."

"I am grateful for this. But please, don't let the little one know he's a Victar by birth. Arceus came to me in a dream, this is why I dared to leave my kingdom tonight. He's going to be at the Prince's side one day vanquishing things I cannot begin to think about. Please, keep him safe. That charm I gave you that night. Charge it with power, he may need it one day to awaken his full potential."

"But what if it falls into the wrong paws?"

"Victini will take it before that, I'm sure of it."

"Very well, my secret love."

"Thank you. I must return to the castle before anyone notices. Farewell..." Victor vanished in a flash of a Teleport by some nearby Psychic.

"Farewell, Marcus Snowtail..." Mimaw sighed then slumped to the grass. "I was hoping for a good mating... maybe next time. Oh, looky here... a little Rattata has wandered in to become my toy for the night."

The memory froze then faded.

Sorry, I can't...

Jason felt the pup pull away, no wonder why the young Zorua wanted to hide while here and why Sam didn't want him to show up. But why did Victini reveal him and nothing happen? Victor has questions to answer. Jason felt his body shift painfully. Bones cracked once again and seemed to retract. He howled, only to hurt his own ears once again. He heard a louder crack above him the chrysalis started to shatter slowly.

Time began to slow...
