[Farewell Dear Brother]: A Demonic Love Tragedy

Story by BeaverReturn on SoFurry

A thick fog lightly blankets the land as it carries itself across the tombstones of the seaside graveyard. Fog-fingers floating by as they gently caress the names that had become inscribed unto the various stone monuments that scatter around the area. The hushing waves from the ocean beyond the expanse push themselves against the jagged rocks at the bottom of the graveyard's long cliff. The hard tides throwing themselves against the earth like love sick martyrs forcing their final days upon themselves.

The stars in the sky flicker over the resting grounds and a crescent moon joins them. The night is dark save for a few lanterns that hung unsteadily from metal poles along the graveyard's main-path. They sway in the night's breeze as their glowing essence becomes but a spawning cesspool for the shadows to play their games with.

Autumn leaves shiver on branches of trees that lay bare and skeleton. The last few leave stems like hands clinging desperately to hold their last moments of life before falling into the unknown below. Or perhaps their stems are but the ropes of hangman, holding up putrefied carcasses as they wait to be cut down from the gallows. I drop my gaze downwards and I see that many other leaves had already left those gallows, torn away from their parental tree by chilling winds, and now were resting collective as they sat in a dark mesh collage on the surface of the earth. It was Devil's night, it was the night before Halloween, and as I entered the graveyard I cursed myself for choosing such a night to chase after my brother.

Farewell Dear Brother: A Demonic Love Tragedy

("Why do I read this in a british accent?"- BeaverReturn)

Through damp streets of our town before, I had followed my brother to this very graveyard. Keeping a careful mind when I stalked, I had to move slowly as to prevent my hooves from clopping too loudly on the cobblestone streets below. My blonde mane-chops against my brown equine fur, stretched down across the sides of my cheeks, tickling the air gently as I followed him in the night. Upon my head, a simple top-hat and resting on my shoulders was my very favourite navy-blue frockcoat, but it did little to keep me warm during a night such as this.

As I followed him in the streets I kept a distance from my brother. So much so that in the night I could only see his lantern: a glowing will-o-the wisp on the edge of a dark swamp. That distant spherical light glowed across my very corneas as curiosity beckoned me like the finger of a lusty lady or like the sirens beckoning Odysseus' ship towards a rocky demise.

My brother was called deviant by the choir of the local gossips. His nuptial activity noticed a fortnight ago by the prying eyes of a maiden long widowed. Upon the odd night, for how long-I do not know, my brother would sneak away from our family townhouse, while the rest of us slumbered, to make slick travels in the abyss of many dark nights' shadowy veils.

"Oh, my dear younger brother, to what trouble have you gotten yourself into this time?" I whisper from chapped lips as I enter through the iron gates that lay careful unlocked by the hand of my brother. His steady lock-picking fingers had made quick work of the locks well aged and near ancient mechanisms.

Upon entering the hallowed ground I could see my brother's lantern shining at the very back of the yard. There he was, a silhouette in the distance, a shadow man on the oceanic cliff's curled lip. The cliff folds out from the earth as it precariously hangs out into the sea like a partly-opened fist with palms facing the dark waters below. The bordering spiked metal fence lay broken at this cliff's point; busted open like an erupted rib cage, its loose metal grid now lay suspended in the air, the earth beneath it long gone. An unmarked obelisk stone waits with my brother there. An old and ancient stone, its lore is the craftsman of children's nightmares.

Simply just trying to observe my brother, I sneak through the yard trying to get closer to him. Unbeknownst to him, I spy him as I kneel down behind a tombstone. I watch him as he opens a large leather bound tomb that he held in his hand. Placing a long finger on one particular page he begins to read from the book. I hear his words and they speak a wicked tongue as he dements his throat in attempt to pronounce the alien language found within. Suddenly, a crow caws from somewhere within the yard, as a chilling wind plays with the hairs of my mane.

My brother finishes his haunting sermon, the silence from his voice that came afterwards all too unsettling. I have it in my mind that I should run, leave my brother be, but upon looking onto him now I had become frozen in place. Both fear and curiosity became floating pixies that pegged me with strange vexing magic onto the ground.

The fog that had only previously been aiding in the yard's eerie mise-en-scene seemed to have had thickened. Floating now even higher, the fog's haze corrupts the landscape, glowing like a white aura against the otherwise black canvas night. As it drifts, my ears hear the nearby ocean crashing violently upon edge of the cliff. In my head I see the sea's waves as the strangest creatures, half feral wolf and half ocean; the sounds of the waves become their fearsome growl and bone-chattering snarl as the creatures pounce onto the jagged rocks lying below.

My brother is silent, unmoving, he holds the tomb within his arms. As I watch him in his stoic posture I am left to wonder, "Why has fear not grasped his heart as it has mine?"

Suddenly, without warning, the fog that floats just beneath my brother begins to twist and turn rising up in a cycling miniature cyclone as though a strange wind disrupted it. My brother drops his book. An awful stench corrupts the air as I grab my handkerchief within my jacket to defend my breath. Now within the eye of the miniature fog cyclone, a darkish orange light summons forth, the orange is like the colour of new fire that only now was beginning to brightly glow. I gasp in dread as I came to realize the strange magic my brother was performing. I knew by the strange sight before me that my own brother had come to this yard to summon a demon.

The cyclone, but a spinning portal beneath my brother's feet, begins to grow as does the power of the light there within. His own long black overcoat began to twist and flap violently as though it had suddenly gained sustenance. If the jacket did indeed learn to feel, then its first emotion would be fear, whereas, its first instinct: to run. I become very much like my brother's jacket, stuck but wanting to flee, as the queer scenery acts out in front of me. As I witness it, I begin to hope that it was all the illusion of an elaborate theatre.

I am unblinking at this point as a creature begins to emerge from out of the portal. Rising out of the orange light, as though lifted form an unseen mechanical platform, the creature is summoned into our world. It has the head of a bull, its horns long and coloured a dark blood red. The pair of horns extends high from out of the bull-head until reaching their sharp point pinnacles. Its eyes are but only one colour, ice blue, and they make me fear for my kin as they gaze onto my brother. A circular gold ring hooks on the creature's snout. Even as the creature breathes a misty cloud out from its nose the ring still shines.

But where the creature had the head of a bovine it had but the body of equine-man. Its hands, arms, body, and legs all were much like our own. As I gazed onto the stark naked creature, I saw how it was much taller than my brother with a physique to rival even the greatest of Olympian's. The fog masked most of his genitalia from my view, but in what I could see, I saw that his endowments were most certainly plentiful.

My brother bows to the creature as it stands before him with gargantuan arms crossed. It speaks to my brother, a rigid tautness his voice that bellows in a deep baritone, his words booming like the thunder itself,

"You have returned, just as I have asked. And on devil's night, also just as I have asked. Are you sure you are ready?"

My brother's voice is shrill and nervous as he looks at the summoned creature before him, "I love only you. I cannot sleep, I do not seek any food, I do not desire any pleasure but the pleasure of your company."

I flick my ears as I hear my brother speak; I was hoping I had misheard him. But such a hope was not true as the creature nods its head towards my brother and smiles a long grin. It then huffs a misty breath from out of its nose.

Grabbing my brother's shoulder with a large palm he pulls him closer. As the fog drifts away from the creature's groin, I cannot help but see the creature's arousal grow for my brother.

"Place your hand upon me. Before you leave, I wish to take you one last time within this scared ground."

My brother without protest does as the creature asks as he lays a hand on the creature's hardening appendage. It continues to grow larger, larger than any male-hood I had ever seen before. The demon reaches his peak arousal, and then my own brother, spawn of the same mother as I, stroke along the beast's length with both of his hands. A low moan escaping the beast as it succumbs to the pleasure my brother provides for it.

I watch as my brother unbuttons his jacket with one hand before letting the beast slide it off of his shoulders. By the time the jacket had fallen on the ground my brother's shirt was off as well. His scrawny physique compares like a twig to the larger beast. As my brother continues to take the beast within his hands, the beast massages a grand palm against the swelling that had become prominent within my brother's own trousers. Like the beast, so too did my brother begin to moan.

"Your Mouth, use your mouth upon me. "The beast commands and my brother does obey. Pressing his lips over the head of the creature's central genital, he immediately begins to take the creature in his mouth. Seemingly unbothered by the size that now filled his mouth and throat; my brother did not ease himself onto the beasts spear. In taking the monster in his mouth, he then fondles the creature's large hanging orbs. Seemingly taking as much pleasure from the act of this fellatio as the beast was!

A strange musk begins to fill the air, the smell itself even stronger then the stench of the sea. As I breathe in through my own nose, the accursed scent fills my nostrils as my brother orally satisfies the creature. I could now feel that in my own pants I too was beginning to feel an awakening.

I drop a hand unto my pants to quell my own swelling ache. I play with myself there my mind beginning to escape me. I tease my own length over my pants as I begin to grow up my pant leg. Before I know what is best for me, I too grow fully aroused, the demented sensuality around me seemingly possessing me in a most unholy way.

My brother eventually releases himself from his own pant, exiting them so that he was as naked as the beast before him. His mouth still rising and falling against the length of the beast, the beast places two large palms on my brother's head and begins to jerk his hips in reaction to my brother's pleasuring lips.

I too undo my own button fly and in the chilled air of the October evening my own flesh was hanging stern and straight out of my pant. With my one arm I wrap myself around the tombstone in front of me, and with my other arm I quickly pump my own flesh as unrighteous desire corrupts me. Oh what disgust! I had begun to pump myself in my own hand, at the same time my brother's mouth was pumped by the beast's long member. Oh what humiliation I feel in letting myself act in such a way!

"Enough!" The monster speaks taking himself out of my brother's mouth, "I wish to take you now!" The demon points a long finger towards a nearby tombstone. Shifting myself around my tombstone hiding place, I avoid being seen as the couple moves over to it. My brother leaning himself over the round top of the grave exposes his rear towards the beast, flicking his long horse-tail, calling the beast over to take him!

The beast does not hesitate in coming up behind my brother with his strong arousal. Grabbing my brother's tail, he lifts it up with one strong hand and then uses his other hand to guide his length into my brother. To what I could not distinguish as an expression of pain or an expression of pleasure, my brother's face grimaces as a long moan escapes him, the beast slowly pushing himself forward as he enters my brother.

My own hand, which was still upon my male hood, massages myself thoroughly as I feel a warped sense of enjoyment in the fact that the beast had now made a woman out of my brother! His thrusts, slow at first, then sped up as his hips bucked into the equine before him. His low swinging pair slap the back of my brother, the beast now grasping his rump between two giant hands. His low-voice bellowing out grunts, groans and growls as he furiously took my brother boldly.

I myself had begun to pant, a tightness of ecstasy building up within my member. The lustful erotica plays out before me, taking full control of my body. I cannot help but pleasure myself like that of the most uncivilized animal. In this sexual haze, I had begun to give attention to parts of my body I would have never dared to explore before! In my shame, I had begun to play with myself, imagining that the beast was taking me as well!

With a large arm wrapped around my brother's neck, the beast's long bovine tongue licks the side of my brother's cheek. I could see the hot air escape his nostril as he grunts into the small equine's ear, his thrusting pelvis pushing himself deeper into the horse. With each pound, each hump, each act of sordid play my brother seemingly dwells deeper into the thralls of the monster's sexuality.

"I will make you my prince." The demon calls out, his commitment to pleasuring himself with my brother unyielding. Taking him like a villain would take a whore, like a dog would take a bitch, like a rapist would take his victim. Eventually with one final long hard thrust, his jowls widen as he releases a tremendous roar. The dark booming sound seemingly erupts from the darkest part of his soul. His knees buckling as he shoots his demonic muck into my brother's once sanctified body.

As I witness the demon unload into my brother, to my own sanity I could no longer attest for. I too had become fully possessed as I felt my release shoot itself over the grave before me. Streams of my own seed now sacrilegiously defiling the grave of one of my fellow fallen townsman!

The beast, breathing heavily, pulls his member from out of my brother, a gooey stream of his own seed covering both his own member and the hole of my sibling. Lifting himself off of the tombstone, my brother, still weak from his indulgence of unsanctioned passions, turns to fall into the arms of the demonic beast that caught him immediately.

The beast looks down at my brother, speaking to him softly,

"Are you ready to come with me then my prince?"

"I shall."

"NO!" I break from my indulgent disillusions and stand up from my hiding place pulling my flint-lock pistol from under my jacket. Although my manhood still hung loose and exposed before me, in my desire to protect my brother I had managed to break free from the demon's spell. With my arm shaking, I spoke from every tiny bit of courage I could muster, "Foul cur! Stand away from my brother or I shall fire."

"Brother stop!" My sibling calls out! The demon stares at me with intimidating eyes as my younger sibling vies for my attention, "Do not shoot him. This being is no beast; there is no monster to be seen here. He may not be of this world but do not be scared. Can't you see that I love him?"

"Hold your tongue, boy! Speak silently till you know what is best!"

"Who is this exposed person? Why does he arm his small trinket towards me?" The creature laughs in a half-chuckle.

"Brother, I know what is best. I feel this creature in my very heart. I am leaving this world to join him. I am giving him my soul, brother. I have decided this is who I love and I wish for you not to debate otherwise." My dear brother, youngest of my family, speaks against me.

"You have gone mad! I will not allow you to come to harm."I squeeze the trigger and a loud blast cracks from out of my pistol, echoing outwards into the dead atmosphere around me. My gun stays steady as I hold it in place in-front of me. A column of smoke left the barrel of the pistol, drifting in the air like the low fog around me. As I look to see my brother standing by himself, I see that the demon was gone.

"Brother!" I call out but he does not respond, "It was for your own good brother. You must realize I saved you."

I step closer as my brother slowly turns his face towards me. A smile cracks on a face but at the same time a tear rolls down his cheek. Suddenly, my brother knees turn weak and they collapse beneath him. Jumping, I catch him just before he hits the ground. His body now limp; I embrace him into my own chest. I gaze into his eyes and in one brief look I could see that he was gone.

In the whites of his eyes the spark had been extinguished. His eyes are now like that of a doll, completely lifeless. I shake his body, hoping that it was all some elaborate prank, some elaborate theatrical performance, but I knew my efforts were futile. The demon had taken my brother with him. My brother had left this earth.

Without a soul he was now a breathing corpse, lying in my arms, his sickly weak mouth sucking in air as though it was the only thing his mindless body could do. Memories of our brotherhood danced in my head as I began to think back to the time we would play as children. I cannot hold back the tears any longer and as they erupt from under my eyes I curse my brother's name over and over again. In my anger I believed him to be a fool, stupid to have fallen for such a creature. I had not come to the graveyard this night expecting to lose my brother.

But as the shining sun broke the night's sky, in the bright display of the coming morning, the fog around me lifted. A rising sun brought on a new dawn for me and my now dead brother. And as I brought my brother's comatose corpse to the edge of the cliff, releasing his body and watching as it fell into the sea below, I felt joy for my brother. I loved my brother. From the first moment I saw him as an infant I knew this love was to be true and infinite. Then suddenly in realizing how much I had loved my brother my tears stifled. It was then that I could no longer cry on this Halloween morning. For when the tide too my brother away, I knew that in death my brother had finally found the joy he had always desired.

"Goodbye, my dear brother." I whisper into the waves that caught his fall, "Goodbye, and good luck."

----Notes----

Well this is my submission for the Halloween story contest. Originally I was not going to do a submission when I first found out about the contest because I have a paper I should be writing, but after some playful musing sometime prior, I discovered a story I really had a story I wanted to write.

Basically this story started with me just playing with an autumn scene, autumn turned into Halloween, and then Halloween turned into a graveyard. After describing the scene in its entirety, a Oceanside graveyard on devil's night, the rest of the plot originally came into play.

Originally I was going for a demon summoning story gone awry with an unspeakable horror being released onto the town. I also had thought to not make it adult but as I thought about the story on my way to the doctor's I began to imagine a love story as my central plot. It was then that I told myself, "Hell, it's more fun writing/reading porn."

But the plot of young apprentice summons demon, has sex with on Devil's Night, and then "Happy Halloween Charlie Brown", seemed a bit underdeveloped for what I often imagine in my narratives. I just was not obsessed with the story.

Maybe I could begin my paper after-all? NOPE! Suddenly this image of a horse-man wearing a frock coat with mane-chops (I love that term) and top hat entered my head and I got this whole Lovecraftian vision in the back of my mind (Although it might be hard in comparing my story to Lovecraft). A story where an equine witnesses his brother become enthralled with a demonic spawn. I think the image of the equine with trousers open, horse dick flopped out, and flint lock pistol at the ready will be stuck in my head for quite some time. To me it was hilarious and kind of sexy.

Another thing I rather enjoyed about this story is that it takes place between Devil's Night and Halloween. As opposed to most stories where the horror occurs solely on Halloween. Making the final end resolution/character epiphany happen on Halloween is kind of my way of being clever. It's just another example of a bit of some of the tongue-in-cheek humour placed within this story.

In my obsession over the story I've greatly enjoyed writing it as much I hope you enjoy reading it. Constructive criticism is always welcome in the reviews. I've got a steel-box around my pride so feel free to lambaste me if need be. J

>_> One last thing, I'm a terrible editor. I've tried to be meticulous on keeping everything primarily in a single tense but I also had a hard time deciding on what tense I wanted the story in. I think it should be good and mostly consistent, so this might just be paranoia in case I missed any bits.
