Human experimentation - Chapter 2 - The Wait.
I got an ok response from my last one but Rueger was worried that my story matched his quite a bit in places so I'm going to try my hardest to make it less like his but still have the story of team Delta(Rueger's stories) and team Epsilon(my stories) tied together. This may be hard in this chapter but in chapter 3 I will take a big swerve away from rueger's story. (Don't worry buddy I will still give you the credit ^^)

This chapter is mainly just a filler till I can progress to the day after but I tried to keep it long so you guys don't get cheated out of a story.
Also it reveals a few things...
Chapter 2 - The Wait.
"Hey dude, you ok?" said Will as he realised I was just standing there smiling. He came up behind me and flicked my ear causing me to flinch.
"What..? Oh yeah I'm fine, sorry. I was just thought that we would be living in cells or something when Nathan said that we had signed over our rights."
"Heh, I thought that as well but nope it seems we got off quite well actually. I mean we got new awesome bodies, a sweet house, and each other but I must say I enjoy the increased athleticism the most." I stared at him in disbelief.
"I haven't noticed any increased athleticism." I said giving him a confused look that made him break into a toothy grin.
"Neither did I till I slipped on my way back our room to check on you. I flung cereal into the air as I fell but somehow broke into a roll and caught the flying breakfast with my bowl." Noticing I still had a slight look of disbelief on my face, he placed his empty bowl on the side.
"Watch this!" He ran, jumped, then spiralled in the air began pulling into a flip then stretched out and landed on his back paws at the other end of the room.
"Bu... how did you do that?" I said with amazement.
"I don't know dude you just... do it. It's kind of like a reflex." With that, he launched the TV remote at my head. Time seemed to slow down and I casually plucked it out of the air with a flick of my hand.
"See?"
"Hiya guys see what?" The girls entered the room both dressed in blue shorts and white vests. They looked at each of us in turn.
"Will was just showing me something awesome." Their eyebrows rose slightly.
"Being what exactly?" asked Holly.
"Go stand next to Will for a sec Holls" her ears flattened and she growled at the name but then broke into a smile when she realised I was grinning at her mood swing. "Ok Alex whatever."
As she made it half way there I flung the remote at her. "Think fast!" I yelled.
She gracefully bent backwards one hand stretching out towards the ground the other began to reach upwards, her back almost 90 degrees to the floor using her hand to keep herself in position, tail brushing the floor slightly, and snatched it out the air from the space her head had been only milliseconds ago. Then she rolled backwards and stood up.
Rowan's mouth opened slightly even Will gave an impressed look."How did I just do that?!" Holly shouted then cocked her head at me then looked at Will.
"I think, Holly that our new bodies have given us greater reflexes." Will spoke softly. Holly mimicked me and flung the remote at Rowan. Caught off guard it travelled most of the way towards her before she had even moved. It was Inches from her face when her eyes flashed a pale blue and the remote hung unaided in mid-air. Rowan's forehead was furrowed with lines as she focused. Her ginger fur getting stained brown as beads of sweat rolled off the end of her muzzle. Her eyes pulsed with raw energy.
"Rowan? Are you ok?" Wills concerned voice broke her concentration and the remote fell into her paws. Her eyes reverted back to the original bright green. She stared at us for a second then back to the remote.
"What in the name fuck did I just do?!" none of us had an answer so we all stood in silence. The silence quickly broken as my stomach rumbled loudly. All heads turned to me and gave me the 'What the fuck was that?' face. "I'm really hungry right now." I said with a large grin followed by a chorus of laughter. I was happy with the change of subject Whatever rowan did I am sure that the scientists would not stop testing her until they found a way for normal humans to replicate it.
"Why didn't you say anything!? The cupboards are absolutely packed." said Will. He trotted over and opened the far right cupboard to reveal a copious amount of cereal. He then opened the cupboard underneath the first and pulled out 3 bowls. I walked over to the fridge and pulled it open. Gasping slightly at the wonderful sight stacks upon stacks of food of every kind from vegetables to slices of what looked like bacon. Drooling just looking at it I quickly grabbed the milk and shut the door before I decided that I wanted to eat the entire contents of the fridge.
I passed the milk to Holly who in return passed me a spoon and bowl, our paws touching slightly. "uhhh thanks" we both said in unison then both blushed deeply. I quickly poured myself some cereal and joined Rowan and Will on the sofa. Will flicked through the channels quickly just to annoy Rowan. I was too busy thinking about Holly to notice Will go flying across the room and land in a pile of spare pillows. Smash!
"What just happened?" I said quickly turning my head side to side as I snapped back into reality. Will groaned as he got to his feet, his fur stuck up at odd angles. Holly had dropped her bowl while she laughed and causing cereal and milk to scatter across the room. I turned back to Rowan to find her laughing her ass off.
"Will someone tell me what the hell just happened?!"
"Ask Will how he liked being beat by a girl" said Rowan between laughs.
I looked at him and cocked my head slightly. "Well I... umm I... annoyed Rowan and let her throw me across the room." he said blushing slightly
"Let me did you? Oh I'll remember that wolfie when I beat your ass next time."
I place a paw on my face "I'm surrounded by idiots..." I sighed quietly.
"I heard that Alex!" Rowan smirked at me
Around three there was a knock on the door. "I'll get it!" I jumped to my feet and ran over to the door. I opened it to find Richard was stood there holding a note pad in one hand and 4 small boxes in the other.
"Hey Richard! Come in." I said with a smile
"Hi guys!" He said. Out of all the scientists I trusted him the most.
"Hey Richard!" They all called from the sofa.
"Ok! Who's who?" He asked me quietly causing me to chuckle. "I can't tell, your voices all sound different now. I never got to see you guys after the transformation. I had to go run some stupid errands for Nathan"
"Ok. I'm Alex. The fox is Rowan, The white wolf is Holly and the black wolf is Will. It's funny how we all turned out lupine, I suppose I am almost canine but then again I was always the sensible one. Maybe that is why we were all friends? I bet that the people we hated in school would turn out as cats or something if they were doing this test."
"Thanks Alex, I'd hate to look like a fool on my first time talking to you guys properly." He gave me a smile which I returned. He held his gaze on me for a few seconds.
"Uhh Richard, are you ok? You are staring at me... it's kind of creepy"
"Oh sorry. I was ...thinking" I noticed him blush slightly but before I could confirm it he quickly turned and walked over to the sofa. I followed him and jumped into an armchair.
"Guys I have something to announce." All our ears pricked up at once.
"Ok. Now I have your attention. I have with me a training schedule, kind of like school really telling you where you need to be and on what day. There are physical tests and we have found out that everyone that we tested previously worked out better with music. So here I have four iPods, £100 each for music, and special ear buds for your new ears. There should be someone coming to fit you guys some new clothes. You will get three pairs of workout clothes, two sorts of relaxed wear, and pyjamas if you want any. Someone was meant to leave this as a note on your fridge but they obviously forgot. Erm... I think I have forgotten something... Oh yeah your bank accounts. Each of you has £2000 to spend on whatever you like. I suggest using some to spice up your rooms. I have seen them before and they do not look that great really, a bit bland. "
He passed us an iPod, a pair of buds, and a bankcard each. Everyone leapt off their seats and ran to the computers.
"The computers are super-fast and will take any game you may want to buy. They already have iTunes on. Well that's about it really. So any questions?"
"I have one. Why are there eight rooms and eight computers?" I asked while I browsed ITunes for my kind of music. I didn't see the other three give be the biggest 'Hurr kah facking durr' look the world has ever played witness too.
"Well 'Project Epsilon', that's you guys 'Epsilon squad' if you like, is meant for eight, you were just the first people to sign up. There will be a few newbies coming in soon. Any other questions?"
"I think that's it. Thanks again Richard for bringing these. I was getting bored of TV."
"Alright well I've got to get back or Nathan will have my head on a spike." causing us all to chuckle.
"Bye Richard" we all said at once. He opened the door, stepped out, and closed it behind him. The sound of a jeep revving up and pulling away from the house could be heard a few seconds later.
The rest of the day was spent discussing music.
"So Alex" said Holly "what music are you into?"
"oh uhh things like paramore, shinedown, system of a down, finger eleven... that kind of music. How about you guys?"
"I prefer classical music or immediate music like Two steps from hell and stuff like that," Holly said giving me a smile.
"I prefer rap and dubstep" Will spoke up "ya know like skrillex and Eminem"
"I like most music really. Not that fussy. Paramore or skrillex. Anything." Rowan finally said.
Will decided to move into the next room along. Rowan also chose to move to the next one along on the opposite side. Four rooms took, four left. Apparently a new team member for each. "When will these guys get here? I wonder if they will take this change with open arms or will they plan to rebel?" I thought silently as I looked down the corridor one last time to make sure everyone was asleep for the tests tomorrow.
When I finally rested my head to go to sleep, thoughts came to mind about what these 'tests' would include. They have already shown they don't inform us fully about what we are getting ourselves into who knows what else they are hiding from us. After half an hour of pondering I finally managed to close my eyes and drift off into a deep sleep.
