Phaelan loved living by the ocean, and the subsequent freedoms it granted him. He loved being able to walk the beach at night. Anyone that knew him knew it was when he sorted out his day, letting go of the stress of the current one and preparing for the next. He loved that every night, the ocean sang him to sleep with its melodious lullaby. He loved meeting new morphs from all over the world. But most of all, he loved bodysurfing. Nothing captivated him more than the feeling of the great ocean itself granting him its power. That feeling when the pull of the gathering wave tried to draw him out to sea, then, with a few powerful strokes of his tailfluke, the feeling of rising skyward, only to come crashing back down, the wave cresting on his dorsal fin, propelling him rapidly towards shore. He never tired of it.

Now, he was on the way to his favorite spot, a small rock outcropping overlooking an inlet just a bit south of his house. There was an underwater cave submerged about ten feet below the surf that led to an air filled chamber inside the outcropping itself. He loved to just sit in the cave, listening to the sound of the waves crashing against the outcropping. Tonight, however, he had something different in mind. He was furious... he had caught his girlfriend of two years sleeping with his former best friend. Her excuse had been that she "didn't love him anymore", and that she "just wanted to be friends". It was so cliché he had almost vomited then and there. Losing his best friend and significant other in a single moment had him reeling, and he needed a way to vent. He decided he was going to do some bodysurfing to work out his frustrations.

He approached the outcropping, climbing the incline to its peak, which sat about 20 feet above the crashing surf. He looked out to sea, the moon lighting the whitecaps as he peered across the vast expanse of water before him. His mind tried to grasp the greatness of it all, the vast power combined with the graceful beauty. After a few moments he shook his head, and began stretching. He grunted as the muscles in his back protested to his movements, knots undoubtedly caused by the vast array of emotion he'd experienced earlier that day.

He finished with a sigh, looking out once more as his legs tensed, preparing to send him into the surf. With a mighty push he leaped out from the rock beneath him, sliding gracefully into the water below moments later. He surfaced, drawing in a deep breath before diving down, swimming below the waves. His tailfluke stroked through the water, propelling him rapidly through the cool depths. A familiar burn began in his lungs, signaling his need for fresh air. He ignored the sensation, still moving through the dark depths. Finally he sped to the surface, breaking through in a spray of clear water. Inhaling a sharp breath, he turned to look behind him, the outcropping a good 300 yards away now, the lights of the shore barely visible through the misty air. He dove beneath the waves for a moment, looking for the sandbar the late tides always created. He spotted it, just a few yards further out to sea. He swam to it, feet coming to rest as he stood, head just above the surface of the water.

He felt the pull of an approaching wave as he looked over his shoulder. As the wave approached, the water level dropped, soon reaching only his waist. He turned and dove into the surf before him as the wave crested behind him, his tailfluke propelling him forward quickly. As the wave caught up with him, he rose with it, climbing into the night air, a sensation he likened to flying. He swung his arms forward and stroked his tailfluke one last time as the wave crashed down, sending him towards shore. He felt the curl of the crest on his stomach, tail and arms relaxed now as he let the wave do all of the work.

Thoughts ran through his head as he moved along the surface of the ocean. "Why did she leave me? Did I not treat her well enough? And why would she leave me for my best friend?" His thoughts wandered further... To his glances at males... She had been fine with his bisexual nature at first, giggling as they'd both say simultaneously "Wow, he's hot!" Over time, though he feared it created a schism between them... She said she felt inadequate. "Why do you look at males when you have me right here?" she would ask. His answer was always the same. "I look, but I would never do anything with them... you know that." Somehow, she always looked unconvinced.

The one time that stood out most in his memory was their last trip to the beach together. He had been looking at a lifeguard, an orca. He marveled at the muscular arms and tailfluke, his legs also corded with muscle. She had caught him looking and had asked, as icily as he'd ever heard her speak, "Does he look better than me?" "No..." he had answered, his voice lacking the conviction he had meant to convey. She had simply looked at him, silent. Her eyes spoke volumes, narrowed, cold. He thought back, wondering if that was the moment she had decided she didn't love him.

His mind turned to further thoughts of her... of her tardiness to their dates, sometimes missing them completely because she was "sick" or "busy". His hands clenched, anger overtaking him once more. The signs were all there, why didn't he see them? "Busy", he thought. "Busy screwing Adam's brain out, no doubt." How could she? He had never treated her badly. Sure, he wasn't perfect, but he was a lot better than most of the "sharks" as he called them that roamed the beaches. All they wanted was one night of pleasure... they were gone in the morning. He and Adam had joked about going home with a shark once... Just for the fun of it. Well, the fun and the sex. They had decided against it... They weren't the type to go for one-night stands. "But," he mused, "Adam's the type to steal his best friend's girl."

The wave had all but dissipated during his thoughts, depositing him less than a hundred feet from shore. He decided to swim in, as it would give him time to further sort out his thoughts and feelings. He thought back to that day at the beach, with the orca lifeguard. He half considered pretending to drown so he could be rescued, but had thought it a bit foolish for a dolphin to need rescuing. He had decided after his girlfriend had walked home after their minor tiff to talk to the orca.

He was a bundle of nerves as he asked what time the tide was coming in. "Actually," the orca had answered, "It's going out now. It should start coming in around 6 o'clock this evening." He had smiled and introduced himself as Phaelan. "Toumal" the orca had answered, his deep baritone rumbling through the warm summer air. Phaelan was instantly aroused. He could feel the blood rushing to his groin, turning his belly a deep pink as he stood simply staring at the vision of beauty before him. His mind was screaming at him to stop... to walk away before it went any further. "You can't have him. Hell, I'm sure he's got a line of hundreds of morphs just waiting to get a piece of him. Oh, and let's not forget you have a girlfriend, shall we?" However, another part of him kept him there, kept him staring, had him nearly bursting from his slit at the mere sight and sound of the orca. That part won... he had gotten his number.

It turned out that he lived only a few doors down from Phaelan. He had moved down for the summer to take the lifeguard position a friendly old otter had retired from. Phaelan had been at his retirement party, and was sad to see him go. However, his hormone soaked mind was telling him that it wasn't all bad... after all, it brought Toumal here.

Phaelan was brought back to reality as his feet brushed the sand. He was back on shore. He walked onto the beach, waves lapping at him as he exited the cool surf. He began stretching once more to cool down after his swim. Then he noticed something... he was painfully erect. His curved shaft was clearly outlined in his swim trunks, the tip barely peeking out from the waistband. "Considering my frame of mind, I didn't count on seeing you for a while", he thought idly. He finished stretching, mind wandering back to vision of the orca... Sitting in the lifeguard chair, smiling down at him. That deep voice... those muscular arms... that tailfluke...

He stood, his shaft now insistently pulsing with his heartbeat as he thought of Toumal. His hand had unconsciously moved down and squeezed it rhythmically through his swim trunks, his member pulsing in response. He sat on the sand, pulling the trunks down his muscular legs, kicking them off to the side. His member stood proudly from his slit, a deep pink color due to his arousal. He grasped it once more, hand sliding up and down the slick length as he closed his eyes, his mind once more filled with visions of Toumal, this time of fantasies, things he would do with the orca.

He pictured the orca nude, erect... He approached as Phaelan lay on the bed. He slid up, pressing the tip of his shaft against Phaelan's tailhole. He pressed forward, that warm, thick length sliding into the willing dolphin, squeaks and clicks of pleasure emanating from them both. He began to thrust, powerful strokes of his length reaching into Phaelan's virgin depths. Phaelan felt the orca's hips meet his own as he stroked himself, both in his fantasy and on the sand. He felt the orca tense and with a bellow, he began filling the dolphin with rapid spurts of his seed, the warmth spreading through him as he flooded Phaelan's insides with copious amounts of cum. Phaelan tensed, close to climax as he pictured the orca filling him completely. With a final few strokes, he came, spraying his own load onto his chest and stomach. The pulses continued for long moments until with the rush of exhaled breath, he collapsed backwards, hand still stroking his cock slowly, the afterglow of his orgasm taking him.

His last thought was of himself and Toumal, wrapped in each other's arms as they slept after their encounter.

"Hey, Phaelan. Wake up." He turned over in bed to look upon his orca lover and realized he was covered in sand, and it was daylight. He opened his eyes with a start, looking up into the face of none other than the object of his fantasies. "You okay, bud? I was walking along the beach and I saw you here. I ran over as fast as I could. Everything alright?" "Yes, I'm... uhh... fine", the dolphin answered, acutely aware of his nude state. "That's good to hear. I thought maybe you'd gone for a late night swim and went out a bit too deep... maybe washed up afterwards. Glad to see you're okay." The orca's glance moved downward as he noticed the dolphin's lack of clothing. "You probably want to get home before the beach patrol arrives... they don't take kindly to indecent exposure. Well... not indecent, per se, but you catch my drift."

Phaelan nodded quickly, his belly and chest deep pink in his embarrassment. He looked around for his swim trunks, noting that they probably floated out to sea when the tide went out. He looked once more to Toumal who had an interesting grin on his face. "Have a good one, Phaelan. Call me, okay?" The dolphin simply nodded, turning to run back to his home, which thankfully was not too far from where he had come up on shore. He hurriedly entered his house and ran to his room, jumping into bed so his parents wouldn't know he was out late last night and didn't return. He thought back to Toumal's words... and that strange smile. "Could he...? No... I'm sure he's got someone." With that, the dolphin rolled over and quickly dozed off, thoughts of the orca still playing in his mind.

Toumal watched the dolphin rush off to his home, eyes glued to the firm rump and tail. He wondered idly why he had found the young dolphin here, naked and asleep on the beach. He shrugged his broad shoulders and began walking towards the lifeguard stand. As he made his way to the stand, he whistled quietly to himself and smiled, pulling a pair of red swim trunks from his backpack.
