Human experimentation - Chapter 1 - The "brilliant" idea..
Hey guys this is my first instalment. I will post my work in series and if the one I post gets a strong response, I will post the next.
Since I am new I will need all the ideas you can think of I am willing to take tangents. I do not mind a bit of yiff if that is what you guys want to see but it won't be for a while until yiff comes into it I like to take things slow in the relationships side of the spectrum.
I've never wrote a big story like this before so any tips would be great.
I write in all three perspectives so 1st 2nd and 3rd and alternate between them .I like it this way and just thought I'd let you guys know that's the way I like to write but if it starts getting too confusing tell me which way you want it to be. At the moment all characters are human but that does change later on I can assure you that much. :)
At First, this will seem like a black and white copy of Reugers whom I got permission from but I assure you it does change in the next few chapters.
Italics are thoughts of Alex. Normal text is everything else. Alex's Perspective- Chapter one - The "brilliant" idea
I cried into my brother's shoulder as his crimson fluids coated the ground and my white fur. I looked up into the burning shell of my once perfect home snuffing out the light of the stars. "Why me?! What have I done?!" I screamed into the air.
Five days prior:
The light caressed my skin with its warm touch waking me from my slumber. I woke up in my cosy house in my hometown of Rotherham, England like I did every morning with a quick stretch and a yawn.
I Jumped out of bed and rushed over to my wardrobe pulling out a pair of light blue boxers, Dark grey jeans, a white shirt and finally a pair of white socks. First day of the summer holidays, I wanted to do something worthwhile rather than playing hockey or staying in playing videogames.
I practically jumped down the stairs while pulling my hair into a short wolf tail. Thump!
"Hey! be careful Alex you will end up breaking something," My elder brother, Darren, scolded.
"Heh, spoilsport, where are mum and dad?" after scanning the kitchen and dining room.
"Out, won't be back till later tonight" I sat at the table while he sat at the other.
"Hey pass us that newspaper would you?"
"Think fast!"
"Ouch!" I yelped as it hit me square in the face.
. "Too slow" He chuckled. I skimmed over the newspaper and stopped as I noticed a wanted add that was different to the others. It read:
"Young Men and Women 18 years of age and older wanted at New court medical centre for small tests that are harmless, pay will be in cash, sums from £250 - £1000. Walk ins are welcome - We can be found next to the town centre library."
I placed the paper down and laced my fingers together. I saw Darren open his mouth to speak but stopped when he realised I had my concentrating face on. ."well what do I have to lose? That kind of qualifies as interesting and worthwhile and I also get paid for it... why not!"
I left the house around 7:30 and decided to ask my friend if he wanted to come."Sounds like the thing he'd be into I mean free cash who wouldn't be?"
I whipped out my phone and made my way to the town centre. The phone rang for a few seconds before he answered.
"Hey Alex, calling a bit early aren't you?"
"Yeah sorry if I woke you but I just I called to see if you wanted to come down town with me and join in this medical experiment it's just a few harmless tests and their offering payments up to £1000"
"mmm free money? ... Ok I will come and how about I invite rowan as well? We haven't seen her in a while"
"Neat idea dude, see, it's been built next to the old library in town centre so meet there about eight"
"That's fine by me. I am going to call Rowan now so... Cya!" *click*
I walked with a smile across my face. I live on the outskirts of town so they should all be waiting for me when I get there The next 20 minutes melded into one long walk and dozens of "Good morning's" and "Hello's" to the to the passerbyers some returning the gesture, others giving me strange looks like I was going to pull a knife on them.
"The life of every 18 year old I suppose" I pondered casually after getting a particular dirty look.
Soon the faces of Will and Rowan came into view. I noticed they were chatting kindly to each other, Will was leant against a statue and Rowan sat on the steps.
"Boo!" Will leapt out his skin while Rowan burst into laughter at the sight.
"They must have been in a deep conversation if I of all people managed to sneak up on them" I thought while chuckling along, Will now over his initial shock began joining in with our laughter while brushing his short blond hair back into place with his fingers. Not caring that we were starting to draw a few funny looks.
"Hey Rowan! Long-time no see eh?" I said as I hugged her close.
"Yeah it's been too long this time. We need to hangout more often." Will and I both nodded in unison. Rowan was a dear friend of ours all through our school life. Her Long brown hair and funky personality added life to any conversation.
"So this is the place?" Will asked.
"Sure looks the part." I said as my eyes ran over the freshly polished white walls and marble steps leading to a grand oak door with a plaque on it reading "New court medical centre."
"Hmmm looks fancy... This is where I would like to work when I finish my biomedical course" Rowan stated more to herself then us then nimbly hopped her way up the pristine staircase.
I stood at the bottom step for a second and began to think, "Why is this building white? all these other buildings are made from brown and red bricks even the new ones half way being built... it's like someone else has paid for this building and not our council.. mmm weird..."
"Hey Alex, you ok?" Will called from the top step.
"uh... what? oh yeah I'm fine... Coming!" I ran up the steps and joined Will and Rowan as they opened the doors "even the doors are of a different make..." We stepped into a white and red reception area with a singular alcoved desk at the far end of the room. Door lined the walls all the way along.
"Hello there! Welcome to Makenzie Pharmaceutical. Are you here about the add we put out?"
"That's right. Where do we sign up?" I asked and gave her a friendly smile
"Just take a seat next to that lady over there" she pointed to a row of seats, Holly!" we all shouted at the same time and ran over to hug her. Her light brown curls bouncing on her shoulders as she stood to greet us.
"Whoa guys calm down 'ha-ha' nice to see you too" she said as she broke from our grasp. I smiled at her when our eyes met "She has the most beautiful eyes..." I shook myself as she realised I was staring at her "gah... What am I thinking?! She's just an old friend that's all nothing more although I could have sworn she just blushed..."
"So what brings you here Holls?" said Rowan
"I told you not to call me that!" she said while laughing, "I thought it would be interesting to see what kind of experiments they did here. What better way than to have them do the tests to me? I've been waiting her for ten minutes already."
"We came for the money, I need it for university, Will is broke at the moment, and Alex wants some money to make his holiday worthwhile"
"I'm glad you guys are here I was getting a little scared being alone but now your here I will stay" I smiled at her.
"Your company is always nice to have as well." She smiled back to me as I said this.
"Anyone know what "tests" they are going to be doing?" asked Rowan.
"Not a clue unfortunately but they said harmless so I not too bad." I replied.
"Besides" said holly, "I'm sure this place is being monitored by the government. It's not like a medical centre can just set up anywhere they have loads of background checks and stuff going on" we all nodded at her logic, Oh how wrong we were.
Five minutes passed before the receptionist gathered her paper work and came over with four sheets and a pot of pens in one hand.
"Ok guys. These are the consent forms saying that you agree to let us perform these tests. The money has also been upped to £2000 minimum," We all gasped
"£2000?! That's insane!" I stated. My worry was that these tests were a bit more dangerous than they were letting on but in the excitement of getting £2000 that easy we all grabbed the sheets quickly and took a pen from the pot.
"I need you all to sign on the dotted lines please." I kneeled down and wrote my signature, not bothering to read the words. It would just say that I consent to let them do a test on me and then look at the effect. I was too focused on Holly's face and how pretty she looked to care and how much better my holiday was about to become. After a few seconds I gave my sheet back followed by Will then the girls shortly after.
"Alrighty then that's all four of you. Now go through that door," she pointed to her right at a set of double doors "grab a robe each from the box and strip down to your boxers and bras then put the robe over the top. Once you have done that carry through to the end and through a second set of double doors where you will meet Nathan. Got it?"
"Aye" we all said before spinning on our heels and marching towards the double doors and followed her instructions. Will and Rowan changed so quick they were already through the second doors before I had my jeans off. I noticed Holly trying to take a sneak peek at my almost naked body.
"Hey! no sneak peeks" I taunted her, she giggled at this
"mmm I will see about that"
"heh! once we get out of this you can see whatever you want," I said with a smirk she laughed and pulled on her robe. I followed her example.
"Come on slow coach. Race ya!"
"You're on girly!" We both sprinted at top speed hurtling toward the double doors me getting through first.
Will and Rowan were deep into a kiss both pairs of eyes tightly shut. "Shit!" Yelled Will as he opened his eyes noticed me staring at them with a look of surprise on my face. Rowan turned to where Will was looking and followed with her own. "Shit!" Both of them blushed furiously as Holly stepped out from behind me to see what was going on.
"Dude it's not what it looks like..." began Will
"Hey! It doesn't matter I'm happy for you both I don't think Holly minds either and to be honest I kind of guessed a while back" Holly nodded and smiled at them.
A few minutes passed until a man in a starch white lab coat and light grey hair came through the double doors.
"Hello and let me be the first to thank you for giving us your able bodies for the good of England."
"ummm ok... what do you mean by that?" I said, my eyes narrowing.
"Unfortunately, you can no longer leave this facility. Your parents haven given their permission and they are the only people you will be able to talk to."
"What?!" we all yelled at the same time
"You didn't read the consent form?" My heart sank. I turned to look at my friends apparently, they didn't read the sheet either.
"What did it say?" I asked, hoping there was a hole to slip through though I knew there wasn't one.
"It said that: You have given all your rights to us basically and can have no contact with the outside world other than when you are missions."
"So What are you going to..." I felt something pierce my neck. Instantly I began to feel dizzy. "dooo too... us?" I collapsed to the ground.
"You will become our way to power. You the key to England's future. England will once again be a superpower that will strike fear into our enemy's hearts at the whisper of our very name. Along with our brothers in arms in the USA we will dominate the world"
When he finished everything went black.
I Awoke to find myself strapped to a metal table completely naked, unable to move with an IV drip in my arm.
"Hey guys! Alex is awake!"
I turned to my right to see Will likewise bound.
"Alex!" The girls called at the same time. Their voices came from my left I turned to see a dense curtain. "They must be on the other side"
"We've had to listen to Will's theories and terrible jokes for last 10 minutes"
"I thought they were good jokes," Will said with a chuckle.
"No Will... they were NOT good jokes" replied Rowan with a laugh. I heard Holly giggle I joined in too "At least everyone sounds unhurt"
Four scientists walked in all dressed in lab coats. "Sir, Epsilon one is now awake. Shall we begin?"
"Not yet I need to talk to them." said Nathan, the slightly greying scientist from before.
"Hem hem" He cleared his throat before addressing us. "Alex, Will, Rowan, and Holly. You are going to lead us to the future. Nothing too harmful shall happen to you, and we will take care of you. So please cooperate willingly and your lives will be fulfilling. Delta team has just this moment been administerd the chemical. They are based in America, your brothers in arms if you would. Now you, Team Epsilon will lead England forward. Let us begin!
"If you hurt us in any way I will kill every last one of you but if we are treated fairly I'm willing to co-operate," I snarled.
Will followed my example "Mess with us and I will hunt you to the end of time"
"As long as no one is hurt, then I will work with this, project of yours" said Rowan
Holly did not speak for a second, then breathed, almost too quiet to hear "If any one of my friends is hurt by any of you. I will personally hunt and kill you one by one. My brutality will reflect the pain you cause me. As your numbers began to fade away you will realise that no matter how far you run you will not escape me. By the end you will wish you had never done these tests and stayed well away from us." I was shocked by her words and so were the scientists they all had back up slightly and looked pale apart from one younger scientist who smiled at her with sympathy.
"uhh, we promise. The first test will hurt only for a few seconds that is all but after that we promise we will not hurt you. You are our volunteers after all." said Nathan.
"I hope you keep that promise Nathan." A middle-aged man with mousy brown hair walked in wearing a dark blue suit and what looked like an officer's cap. "I'm sure you of all people know that if they don't kill you first. I will. Anyone who breaks a promise is as good as a traitor in my books and I will treat them like one" He span on his heel and walked out of the room.
"Well Let's get this done then." announced Nathan.
"Wait! I want to greet them." said a young male with short brown hair as he stepped forward, the only one who did not pale at Holly's speech.
"Be quick Richard. I want this done fast."
"Hello, I do not believe we have met before today. My name is Richard. When this first test is over I will be the one who looks after you." I looked into his deep green eyes and saw only kindness and pity. "I'm sorry but Nathan is right the first process will hurt but only for a few seconds."
"I won't hold it this part against you... Thanks for being honest at least" I said softly. "Ok that is enough time! T minus 5 minutes till transformation!" Nathan shouted. Richard began to administer a chemical to my IV through a small side tube. He then to proceeded to do the same to Will's IV. After this he turned and made his way towards the door. "Wait, what did he mean by transformation?" I asked. Richard turned back to me. "Oh. You see, that drip has been filled with a recently discovered chemical that will alter your DNA to half of that of the animal closest to you personality the other half will remain human. Making you stronger faster and more agile along with changing your body but keeping your mind intact. It should begin soon." He gave me one last look. "I'm sorry.
We will return once the transformation is complete." With that, he followed his fellow scientists out of the room.
"Did you mean what you said earlier Holly?" I asked.
"Every word... I never told you guys before but I had a twin. Alexis was her name. She died when we were young. An explosion killed her... I.. I...I couldn't do anything to help her... a drunk driver who spun and hit a wall in front of us." I heard her begin to sob. "as we ran she slipped and I didn't notice until it was too late. The car exploded and knocked me off my feet with only a few scratches. My sister died instantly. I never want to feel that powerless ever again.
"Just for the record I won the race Holly" causing us all to laugh.
"Umm guys I don't feel so great." said Will. "I swear my restraints are getting tighter" I heard the panic in his voice.
"Will calm down this is supposed to happen I thi..." "Arggh!" Will screamed with pain and began to writhe around on his table.
"Will! Alex! Alex what's happening!? Ahhh!" Holly began to scream.
Pain so intense covered my body. It felt like I was being dipped in boiling water, every inch of my body screamed for release. Bones snapped and re-adjusted themselves. My ears began to elongate and move upwards. My face cracked and stretched while new razor sharp teeth pushed out the old ones with that I blacked out, the pain so intense to comprehend...
I woke up about an hour later The straps had been removed. My body ached especially my backside. I sat up quickly. Thwack! A large furry appendage hit me in the back of my head. My tail. I must have been laying on it the whole time. I swung myself out of bed and tried to stand only to fall on my face with a loud yet muffled thump. My new body was harder to stand in. I picked myself up and brushed my fur down.
"Holly? Will? Rowan? Anyone?!" Will's bed was empty. I walked over to the curtain and pulled it back to find a shower. "uhhh? Ok."
"Whoa dude" A friendly voice called. I span round to see a half man/ half black wolf with white tips on his ears and white tipped tail swishing happily behind him, eating a bowl of cereal while leaning in the door frame. "Will?" I said with disbelief.
"Nah mate, I'm the Easter bunny Will has gone to meet Santa. Of course it's me" He exclaimed
I started to laugh his new body surprised me "Man you look like a bloody were-wolf" I said between laughs. "I know right? It's pretty awesome; You should check yourself out dude." He pointed to a mirror at the other side of the room above a large sink.
I walked up to it and nearly jumped out my skin with surprise. I saw Husky. The top of my head, back, shoulders, and about half way down the outsides of my arms were a blackly grey while my front and face below my eyes was pure white. A tail with black on top and white on the bottom, my legs and feet were also white. A solid six-pack and pecs to go with my new more muscular body. The new alien figure looked back at me with its deep blue eyes.
"Holy shit!" I yelled "Is this for real or am I dreaming?"
Will quietly sneaked over and booted me up the ass. I yelped and fell forward "Still think your dreaming?" holding out a long furry hand with sharp claws and small pads on his palm and on the underside of his fingers. We both laughed as he pulled me up.
"The tests don't start until tomorrow. While we slept, they moved us to a house about 40 miles from town. They said this was our new home. Out this door there is a corridor lined with rooms about eight in total. Holly and Rowan are in the room opposite to this one but they are still asleep or where about 5 minutes ago when I last checked" He stopped took a mouthful of cereal, chewed for a second then swallowed. My stomach rumbled loudly. "If you go right from this room it leads to the kitchen and lounging area. The other way consists of three toilets. They told me all this when I woke up."
"Hmm... Well I'm going to check on Rowan and Holly." I started to make my way to the door.
"uhh dude you may want to put these on..." He tossed a pair of shorts at me, which landed on my muzzle. "you're kind of naked..."
"Oh."
I walked into the room and saw a two sleeping lumps. One a Ginger fox morph with white tips on her tail and ears. The other a bright white wolf morph, I noticed red swirls running down her back.
"Hey guys... Wake up" I shook them both lightly.
"mmm Alex?" the wolf said tiredly.
"Aye, I'm guessing you are Holly?" I said as I hugged her close.
"uhhh why is there a naked wolf with breasts being hugged by a black and white husky with shorts and muscles?" I turned Rowan had sat up.
"Hey Rowan! Nice to see you awake" I moved over and hugged her too. "I told you we would be fine."
"mmm ... Your fur is warm"
"Hey! He's mine" Holly jumped on my back and hugged me around the neck. "Besides you have Will"
"Meh I just enjoyed the heat" I put Holly down and smiled at her.
"The kitchen is to the right and the toilets are to the left. I'm going to go get some breakfast." I told them.
"Ok. We will join you when we are decent." "mhmm" I stepped out the door and moved down the corridor.
"Whoa! The kitchen was stocked full and included a large table and eight chairs in the middle of the room at the far end of a room a door that led to the lounging area, which contained a 50" plasma TV on the wall and eight computers around the edges of the room. Windows flooded the room with light. There were multiple light brown sofas in the middle of the room.
"And to think I thought this was going to be bad idea..."
