My Pokemon Adventure
This is my first story so please Don't be too me...
This is my first story so please Don't be too mean with the comments and such but please tell me if theres anything I can work on to make it a better read for the people who read this and I'm not sure if I'll even continue this specific story too far either but enjoy.
Slowly waking up I start to realize a pain going through my body and I start to moan a bit as I try to sit up against something that felt really rough. I lay back down my head slightly propped up by the rough something. I also notice that there is a little bit of weight on my chest, thinking that it could have something to do with the pain so I decide to rest a bit until I hear a sweet calming voice very close seeming like it came from right in front of me.
"Are you ok?" upon hearing this voice I open my eyes seeing a small bunny like creature sitting on my chest looking at me which really reminded me of something but I just couldn't think of it at the moment. The bunny had brown fur from the waist up and puffy tanish fur waist down and on the tip of its ears I turn my head looking for the person whom the voice could have come from but didn't see anyone. Then I hear the voice once more.
"What are you looking for?" noticing that it came from the bunny on my chest a bit surprised that this voice was coming from this small bunny, I turn my head toward the bunny a bit skeptical.
"uh.... I dunno" pausing a bit then ask "h-how are you talking?"
"I was taught by my trainer"
"Trainer?"
"Yeah" the bunny looks back "Here she comes now"
I try sitting up again this time actually able to sit up against what I realized was a tree and upon doing so the bunny takes a small tumble down my chest and onto my lap I smile a little bit trying to laugh "sorry..."
The girl running towards me was rather small but seemed about the same age as myself and as she got closer doing a small jog I hear her saying "buneary what are you doing?" she comes right up to me "I'm sorry is my buneary bothering you?"
"no its ok" I say as she bends down next to me and I think a bit "Wait buneary? You mean a pokemon?"
"Yeah you know Pokemon right?" she picks the buneary up off of me holding it in her arms
"Yeah I know it's this video game that I've played quite a bit" she looks at me with a confused look "uh never mind" I try to shift to get comfortable but moan as I feel the pain shoot through me once more.
"oh are you ok?" the trainer asks as she puts the buneary on the ground and places a hand on my shoulder.
"no it doesn't seem like it"
"well there's a pokemon center nearby I'll take you to it" she gets beside me placing my arm around her neck and she starts to help me up feeling the pain more as I stand up. "you ok to walk to the pokemon center?"
"yeah I should be good enough to get there" we head to the pokemon center with buneary hopping beside us on the way there. It doesn't take too long till we come to the edge of the forest. I look at the big building with a big pokeball on it and I think to myself "this can't be happening can it? I'm in the pokemon world? But how?" we enter the pokemon center and I look around taking in the whole sight of the place as we make our way to the counter and I see nurse joy standing there looking back at us.
"What happened?" nurse joy asks as she comes around and helps with my other side
"I dunno my buneary just found him laying on the ground" nurse joy then looks at me trying to get an answer out of me
I look back at her and shrug bit "I dunno I just woke up like this I don't even know where I am"
"well, let's get you admitted first and treat your wounds then we'll see what we can do from there" nurse joy says as we start to walk to the back and takes me to an empty room. After being examined for which felt like it took like forever nurse joy says to me "Well nothings broken you just have a lot of cuts and bruises and your body is just really tired. We'll keep you for one night so you can get your rest alright?" as soon as she leaves I'm out like a light.
I wake up feeling the same pressure on my chest seeing buneary sleeping on my chest and as I move to get comfy then buneary also wakes up "I'm sorry did I wake you?" I ask as she moves down to my lap so I can sit up
"nope" she says shaking her head. "How are you feeling?" buneary looks up at me asking concerned
I smile big "I feel great, good as new"
We sit there smiling at each other as buneary's trainer walks in the door "Oh hey your awake feeling better?"
"much better thank you" she sits in the chair next to the bed .
"so how did you end up there like that?" she askes curiously.
"hmm.... I dunno the last thing I remember was sitting on my couch watching tv and the next thing I knew I was talking to your buneary" I answer her as I pet the buneary's head.
"Huh strange, It's good that your ok though" just then nurse joy walks in carrying what looked like some of my clothes.
"Oh good your awake. If you feel rested enough you can go whenever you feel like it. Here's your clothes, I had them washed for you since they did look rather dirty" she places them on the end of my bed "you have a good day" she says before she turns to leave
I smile back and wave. And turn my focus back to the buneary petting it more. "so.... What are you gonna do now?" buneary's trainer asks
"I'm not sure I don't really have a house close by or anything and I don't have any money either. I guess first things first I'll need to get a job. I would like to start on my own pokemon adventure but I don't think I can start it since I don't have a pokemon or anything really, all I have is what you found me with"
"but I didn't see anything else around you"
"exactly" I say and we both go silent for a little bit
she smile as she stands up "well how about I help you get your start. I've saved up quite a bit of money we can go to the store and I can get you the essentials"
I look up at her "really? You'd be willing to do that for me?"
"yeah no problem, but only if you promise to pay me back"
"yeah I promise but I'd also need one more thing" I let her think a bit "I'd need a starter pokemon to get started too"
Buneary looks over at its trainer smiling and asks "what about me?" they look at each other for a bit then at me
"hows that sound? Do you want buneary as your first pokemon?"
I look at the buneary giving a questionable look as buneary gives me a pouty face. I laugh a bit "if you don't mind going without it I'd love to have buneary as my first pokemon"
"she"
"she?"
"yeah she's a she"
"Oh a girl cool" I look at the buneary "sorry"
Buneary looks up at me "its ok I forgive you"
The trainer turns to leave but turns back "Oh yeah my name's Lisa and don't forget it I'll meet you outside so hurry up and get dressed so we can go to the store alright? Come on buneary let's go out so he can get dressed" buneary jumps down walking with Lisa out the door.
I come out a couple minutes later, as I pass the counter I say bye to nurse joy and walk outside meeting up with Lisa and buneary "hope I didn't take too long".
Buneary instantly answers "you took way too long we were waiting forever!! Hmph" she looks away and can't help but smile.
I laugh at buneary's little joke and we start to head off. After a while I notice buneary getting a little tired "hey why don't you go into you pokeball" she doesn't give an answer as we walk passed other people on our way to the store.
"she doesn't really like to talk around strangers she only really talks to me. So I was a bit surprised when I found her talking to you"
I think a bit as we walk then I stop having an idea "and I bend down picking up buneary and placing her on my shoulder "how's this? You won't get as tired walking around and you can whisper to me whenever you want"
She smiles big and whispers into my ear "thank you, and I don't like being in the pokeball it's not as fun as being out here"
I smile back "that makes sense I won't put you in a pokeball"
As we talk it reminds Lisa about the pokeball "o right if she's gonna be your pokemon your gonna need her pokeball here" she hands me a normal red and white pokeball "shes already caught and all you need it for is proof that she's your pokemon"
"Thanks" I say as I take the pokeball from her and stuff it in my pocket and we continue to the store, buneary holding onto my head as we walk. We arrive at the store and I'm amazed at how big the store is "wow I didn't expect this place to be so big"
"well remember we only came her for the basics pokeballs, , a backpack, tent, etc., etc."
"yeah I know" I say as we walk in, we grab a tent, backpack, 6 pokeballs, 4 potions, 2 full retores, and some food. We exit the store, I'm wearing the new backpack filled with all the stuff Lisa just bought for me and we stand there in front of the store
"Well I think this is where we will separate"
I smile at Lisa "I guess we'll meet when we meet then?"
She nods an turns around to leave takin a couple steps then looks back waving as she goes. Both buneary and I waving back then I remember some important "wait what town am I in?" I yell as she walks away and she yells back.
"Cerulean!!"
Then I think "sweet my favorite region" and I look at buneary "you ready?" I ask her
"yeah ready as I'll ever be" she answers back
We start to walk off in the direction of the Cerulean gym to start our adventure together wondering exactly what will happen in this new world I've been thrown into.
