I know it had been some time. Quite some time, since I have posted anything. The desire to write still isn't fully back however I hope this post of another chapter of Lost Soldier is good enough for the wait you all had to endure.

This is a peaceful chapter as it were, no fighting of intense violence. A calm and happy chapter that I hope you all like, I think I might have rushed a few things. Let me know what you think.

Also, if you see mistakes please let me know. I did not send this through my editor as I haven't heard much from him but will try to here in a few. So with that, enjoy.

Mike slowly felt that power flow through his stomach and quickly move to his chest, he could feel his heart begin to pound in his chest as this feeling started to surge through him, his vision being locked onto Elder Moon Shadows figure. The darkness that once surrounded those around him began to suddenly fad as if the sun had begun to rise once again, everyone around him became crystal clear, so much so that he could make out every detail of their faces, the expressions however would cause him confusion.

There resided fear in their faces, confusion and fear, like they were unable to tell what was happening right in front of them, he wanted to ask them what was wrong, wanted to know if there was a problem with what was happening. Though as he opened his mouth to speak all that he heard was a massive roar, a roar from one of those beasts, a Lycanthrope. The roar came from all directions and no matter where Mike looked he couldn't see anything, it was then that a new feeling hit him, a strange stabbing pain that twisted into the left side of his chest, so sudden that it dropped him to his knees. He was confused, a nervous panic was beginning to grab him as a secondary pain twisted itself into his chest causing him to grunt out in pain, his hands gripping at the invisible knife that was stabbing him in the heart.

It was there, with clutched eyes and gripping hands that he heard Elder Moon Shadow's voice, "Hmm, such a dangerous beast lays within you Michael, can you control it I wonder?" this was the last thing he remembered as he suddenly found himself laying face down on the rock slab that he had once been standing on, his vision quickly fading to black.

The sound of birds is what had stirred him from his sleep, Mike finding himself once again in the cave he had gotten so familiar with, as well as that warm feeling of the soft fur that was Koro's. Mike pushed himself up onto his elbows seeing Koro laying over his legs with her head resting on his stomach, his right hand slipping down to gently slip his fingers over her muzzle, his gentle act being more than enough to cause the large wolf to stir from her slumber. Upon seeing Mike that wolfish smile slowly crept onto her muzzle before she gave a large yawn,

"Good morning Michael, did you sleep well?" this causing Mike to tilt his head back slightly, he did sleep fine, he felt well rested but that wasn't what he was concerned about at this time.

"Koro...what happened?" the question didn't surprise the wolf as she began to rub her head against her stomach, her wet nose chilling his stomach a little bit,

"Nothing too unexpected...don't stress about it" she mentioned before pushing herself up, doing the normal canine stretching, her tail shivering slightly as she pushed her front paws forward and stretching her back out.

Mike felt strange, as if that answer was more than enough to settle him with everything, quite different from him as he would normal demand to know everything, yet Koro had never lied to him about anything and if she wasn't worried about it, then he felt that he shouldn't either.

With that weight seeming to be lifted from his shoulders Mike would turn and lift himself from the bed, moving to stand and stretch himself, clenched eyes showed how well he was stretching as he leaned to the left with his arm outstretched as he allowed the muscles on his sides to be stretched and the stiffness to dissipate. It was when he moved to stretch the other side, that single moment when he opened his eyes for that small shift in weight that he noticed someone standing at the mouth of the cave, this froze him and caused him to open his eyes as he straightened himself out.

It was Wind as it turned out, nothing too strange as she was normally around from time to time, Mike stared at her, seeming to be calm as he looked at the woman who simply stood there with her arms crossed. Wind's expression held a serious pose while Mike simple stared with a bit of curiosity, she never came around unless she had something she wanted to tell Mike, the last time however was a bit strange from what Mike could recall. Something about Mike not taking another mate save for Koro and Wind, that was just a strange conversation or more along the lines of a demand slash threat upon his life as she did state that she would kill him.

It was during these thoughts that he did not notice Wind approach him till she was directly in front of him, snapping from his thoughts he stared down at her while she stared back up at him, as if looking for something in his eyes. It wasn't till Koro slipped between them, brushing her large body against both of their bodies causing both to finally break eye contact, Koro looking back up to both of them with her wolfish smile.

"You two looked like you were about to have a romantic moment, I couldn't let you forget about me..." this tease being finished with a flick of her long tail, Wind becoming flustered while Mike moved his right hand up to rub the side of his head. Wind moved to grab at Koro's scruff but the wolf proving to be too quick, Koro quickly dashed out of the cave and into the open forest, Wind growling before quickly giving chase, Mike standing there with a bit of a dumb expression on his face as he watched the two females play.

Moving to the mouth of the cave, Mike watched as Wind ran after Koro, the large wolf jumping and dashing around the trees of the forest, it wasn't till Koro attempted to figure eight around two close trees that she made a mistake, Wind no longer interested in running around, jumping into the tree branches before diving down and landing directly on top of the large wolf. Koro gave a yelp in surprise as she was suddenly slammed to the ground, Wind sitting mid back of the wolf with both of her legs straddling the wolf, Winds hands holding firmly to the wolfs scruff causing her to whimper and whine out in submission. Wind giving a victory smile before slowly stand up, releasing Koro who quickly stood up and shook herself, freeing all of her fur before sitting down, Wind panting softly while Mike stood, leaning against a tree with his arms crossed.

Suddenly both eyes were locked onto him and he found himself feeling rather venerable, Mike pushed himself straight up before both Wind and Koro charged him, he attempted to get away but unlike Koro, ended up caught and pinned down by both females within a matter of a few feet. Wind sat on the small of Mike's back while Koro pinned his legs before beginning to wash her fore paws, her tail lightly thumping against his calves. Finding himself in a rather pinned position he shifted himself about a little bit, attempting to see if he could wiggle himself out, finding Wind gently feeling over his back with her finger tips, tracing his muscles before slowly moving her fingers down some of the scars he had gotten from the beasts.

Mike's wiggling slowed to a stop as he felt Wind's fingers slowly playing along his flesh, she seemed to be interested in his scars the most, she would trace them slowly while looking at them with a soft expression that Mike couldn't see. Suddenly Koro would nudge Wind from behind, pushing her down to where her chest bumped into Mike's back causing him to grunt slightly, the playful wolf then padding back to the cave as Wind glared at her after quickly jumping off of Mike and offering to help him to his feet. He took her offer and she pulled him easily to his feet, Wind would take a serious gaze once again as she watched Mike bush himself off.

"Michael, there is something you should know..." gaining his attention easy enough, Wind turned then began walking to the cave, Mike taking the hint and following slowly.

"I've come to tell you that in seven days following this one, we will begin the ritual to change you...I'd just thought I'd let you know" this causing Mike to turn his gaze down, still nervous about this entire situation, Wind would stop and put her hand on his shoulder, this causing him to stop and look over at her.

"I wanted you to know before-hand so you could, prepare...and before you ask, yes, it will hurt the first time" Wind stated, tilting her head slightly dipping her head slightly to try and look in Mike's eyes as he stared at the ground.

Her answer to the unasked question was one of many, not the one that most concerned Mike though her answering it without him asking did knock out atleast one of his questions, though the most prominent one still held firm in his mind and he slowly lifted his gaze to look down into Wind's eyes.

"What'll happen? To me I mean, will I stay the same? Will I still be me after all this?" it was a question that seemed to take Wind by surprise, she did not seem sure how to answer such a question and even turned her head down for a moment to think. With her hand slipping from his shoulder she looked back up to him,

"You'll still be you, you might change a bit but you'll always be you. You'll think the same thoughts, have the same desires, the only thing that will change is your body and spirit, but your mind will always remain the same," this seeming to reassure him. He didn't want to become someone else, he didn't want to think something different just because he had to change, he wanted to remain the same guy no matter what might happen.

With the question answered Wind turned and moved back toward the cave, Koro sitting at the entrance with an expectant gaze, waiting for the two, though she jumped slightly as Wind dashed toward her, giving a quick one eighty to dash into the cave and avoid being tackled once more. The fact that neither Wind nor Koro were concerned about this upcoming events seemed to keep his mind off of them, though with Wind telling him that he only had seven days left, that was something that he wasn't expecting but if he did his math right, that would be the same day of the full moon. Then again, he never really did pay attention to the moon and its cycle.

So with this he moved into the cave to find Koro on her back with both hind legs kicking as Wind held her down by the scruff and scratched her stomach vigorously, a strange sight to behold, a wolf that stood at chest level with Mike was acting little more than a domestic puppy getting a tummy rub. Mike would move over and reach down to scratch too, Koro's legs jumping even more,

"Stop, it's not fair...two on one!" she panted out, as if she were being tickled, her fore paws moving up to try and shove Wind off as she chuckled when Mike jumped in.

For now, Mike kept everything from his mind, it wouldn't help dwelling on it, though he didn't have time when Wind let Koro go and she quickly squirmed to her feet to tackle Mike to the ground, giving a snort directly in his face before looking over her shoulder toward Wind who gave a slight jump before turning and dashing from the cave. Koro watched Wind as she fled, giving a look back to Mike before allowing her long tongue to slip out and be dragged over the front of his face from chin to forehead, with Mike's face covered in drool Koro jumped off of him and gave chase. Mike finding this strange game of tag rather interesting to say the least.

Time passed quickly, seven days turned to six, six turned to five, and five became four. The day was drawing closer and closer, Mike found out a lot about the clan in this short time however. The clan was fairly nice after the ice had been broken and some of the clan, mainly the females, seemed rather interested in Mike and from time to time when they approached him, he felt that his life was in danger, as if the cross hairs were lined up directly with his fore head. He could have sword he saw Wind's eyes glowing as she glared at him from around a tree, Koro seeming to be doing the same thing from behind a rock, this making his conversations with the females within the clan rather short and to the point.

It wasn't till the day before the change would take place that many of the clan really seemed to open up to him however, most of them willing to talk with him about various things, allowing him to sit with them at the bone fires during the night while letting him hang around the large rock structure during the day. Elder Moons Shadow had called upon Mike several times to simply have him near, small conversations were exchanged between them but nothing but really held all that interest, simple small talk about this and that but the Elder seemed to avoid speaking over what would happen on the night of the full moon.

The day before the night of the full moon Mike found himself resting in the cave when Koro wandered in, no longer hanging around him constant ly , everyone had seemed to accept his presence and they had all begun to trust him not to run away. The large wolf padded over to Mike as he laid upon the bed with his hands behind his head, simply staring at the ceiling of the cave, letting his mind wander at the moment until Koro jumping onto the bed and hitting him in the stomach with both of her fore paws, putting most of her weight into it which knocked the air from his lungs.

Giving a wheeze as he curled up, both of his legs being thrown into the air before putting both of his hands on his stomach as he rolled onto his side, glaring toward Koro who stared back at him with a face that said 'What.' Mike quickly reached out to grip the wolf by the neck fur, pulling her toward him, rolling onto his left side, using his body to trip the large canine and pull her to the bed, quickly pinning her down on her side with his left arm while moving his right hand to scratch her stomach. Koro quickly squirming to get away as she apologized over and over, claiming that it was an accident, Mike of course knew better.

Koro's legs kicked and she squirmed around in an attempt to get away, she however would be at his mercy for nearly a minute before he finally let her go, the large wolf laying upon her right side, heaving for air as Mike rolled back over and sat himself up. He had learned how to play with Koro in these few days, finding himself being piled on by young Dire Wolf and normal Wolf pups more than a few times which was the 'ice breaker' that seemed to make all the other Lycanthrope, Anthro wolves, humans, Dire wolves and normal wolves open up to him, seeing the young ones willing to play with him then he couldn't be as bad or as dangerous as he seemed.

Mike reached up with both hands and rubbed his face a bit to clear his mind, as he did this however a third hand could be felt shifting through his hair, the first thought in Mike's mind was 'Where did I get a third hand' and that was followed by the normal statement that he has said many times, 'What the!? Third hand! Are you stupid!!?' as normally happened when the mind was allowed to wander off on its own, all kinds of stupid things could pop into a person's mind. With the stupidity of his own mind set in place once again, Mike looked up from his hands to see Wind standing there with a soft expression on her face, her left hand gently shifting through Mike's hair as she stared down at him.

Mike tilted his head slightly into Wind's hand, having learned several of the body languages that are used within the Slicing Wind Clan, when another member of the clan began to shift their hand or in most cases, their noses through a person's hair it was a form of greetings and affection. Wind only did this when they were alone or with Koro however, seeming to not wish to do it in front of everyone else, her reasons was to keep the other males from challenging Mike before he even had the ability to hold his own against them, Elder Moon however had state simple that 'She's shy. You actually bring out the female emotions in her which make her uncomfortable because she doesn't know what to do. Just give her time, she will become braver with time.' Following that with a laugh he let Mike go about it with his own thoughts after that.

So he sat there, letting Wind gently shift her fingers through his short cut hair, though this time she did something she had yet to do before, stepping forward and slowly moving her legs up onto the bed. She straddled Mike's waist with her knees resting on the side of the bed, now eye level with Mike she looked at him with a strange expression that she had never shown him before, Koro seeming to find this unusual as she stared at Wind with perked ears. Wind wrapped her arms around Mike's neck as he stared at her with a bit of confusion,

"This is...your last day as a human." Mike shifting his expression from confused to understanding, beginning to understand what Wind was attempting to get at, Wind leaning forward and setting her fore head against his and she rested against him gently.

Wind began to gently rub her fore head against his, Mike simply sat there allowing her to do this and Koro seeming to calm down when Wind did this as well, this being a feral show of affection, almost like rubbing muzzles together, a very open form of showing affection, the greeting part was completely removed from this as it was nothing but affection. Mike found it slightly strange that this 'woman' in front of him had already laid claim to him to be his mate, the wolf behind him making the same claim, he hadn't even known either of them for a full month yet they had already made up their minds to spend the rest of their lives with him.

Human women were so much harder to settle down with, they wanted so many different things and constantly changed their minds from one minute to the next, yet Wind and Koro wanted him and were determined to have him, keeping other females away from him as well as keeping him from approaching other females, which he had, but not in the way of trying to mate with them, which several seemed more than willing to accept. One in particular was more than willing as she offered to slip behind a tree with him openly, many females and males laughing as Mike's ears shifted into a light red color.

Mike, even though this strange thought of these two females attracted to him made him want to question them about it but he already knew the answer as he had confronted Elder Moon about such a thing, and it seemed that when Wind put her mind to something there was no changing it, Koro was the only one who was actually able to reason with her and that saved Wind's hide several times in the past. However if both of these females agreed upon something there was no one, not even Elder Moons Shadow himself could stop them. So even if Mike did ask it wouldn't change anything, Wind had begun to show him these little affections a few days ago, Koro had been since the first time they had met him. Now with both of them openly showing affection he found himself trapt between them and in these past few days he had learned a lot about both of them and he could say without a doubt that neither of them were bad or unattractive. The thought of being with a feral animal however did pick at his mind a bit but he would never openly say that to Koro, for fear of hurting her feelings and after drawing that blade on her he never wanted to hurt her again.

He pulled his mind from these thoughts and opened his eyes to look at Wind who had her own eyes closed, it was strange, the way he looked at her within these few days. He sure as hell didn't believe in fate or destiny but the attraction to this place around him, it made him feel at home, the people around him, who he once hated and felt the desire to kill had now become friends. After what he had done for them, even if it was for himself, they had opened up to him instead of simply watching him as if he were some kind of exhibit or freak that had to be kept at a distance. They spoke to him like a long-time friend, some of the older males and females teased and taunted him, the older females who were already mated making him blush every chance they could get, but most of them seemed well enough, nothing like those mindless beasts from the North.

With these thoughts in mind, as Wind resting in front of him Mike moved his arms up to gently wrap around Wind's waist, she opened her eyes slightly at the feeling of Mike wrapping his arms around her, though she gave a small jump as she felt her lips being locked with Mike's. Wind's cheeks faded into a gentle red as Mike kissed her, Koro's eyes growing wide as her ears perked forward, looking ready to jump to her paws and take off after a small animal at a moment's notice as she stared at Mike and Wind.

Slowly Wind eased into the kiss, her eyes closing half way as she sighed through her nose, pushing forward slightly to push the kiss into a slightly deeper kiss. It wasn't something very passionate, a simple kiss as it were between these two that only lasted a few moments. Mike breaking the kiss with a small sigh, his eyes opened to look into Wind's, it was the first time that he had ever shown such affection to her and Koro seemed to be jealous as she stared directly at the two.

Wind sighed softly before giving a small chuckle, "Finally you decide to accept my attention" she chuckled out, her right hand moving up to shift through the short hair of his, though this moment where they were Wind and Mike stared into each-other's eyes was quickly interrupted by Koro's wet nose being pressed against Mike's cheek. Mike pulled his cheek away before quickly looking at Koro as she stared directly at him,

"You'll accept her attention but leave me with nothing" she complained with a firm glare.

Wind chuckled again at Koro's jealous nature before leaning forward and gently pressing her nose to her cheek, slipping her lips toward Mike's ear,

"You shouldn't neglect your mates attention Michael" Wind stated softly while looking at Koro from the corner of her eye, a sly smile on her lips.

Mike found himself now in the spot light, Koro staring expectably while Wind held his head in position, the feeling of misplacement of being with a feral creature grew with him again and his eyes shifted to the right slightly. Koro seemed to know what was bothering him and took the initiative by moving forward, giving Mike a surprise by pressing the front of her muzzle against his lips. Koro's eyes were closed as she forced her long tongue into Mike's mouth, kissing him as a human would, Mike quickly closing his eyes as he felt his tongue being attacked by the large canine tongue. Wind stared in a small shock at Koro as she forced her tongue into Mike's mouth and Mike do nothing but close his eyes and accept such treatment, in all honesty it was a funny sight, a human kissing a Dire wolf, yet other humans would most likely find it a disgusting act, however it was common around here as anthros and humans were mated with Dire wolves and normal feral wolves in this pack.

Koro slowly pulled her muzzle back, Mike having a rather strange feeling of wolf drool left in his mouth, in all honesty it was the strangest thing he had ever felt, Koro seeming thrilled with such an action as her tail wagged behind her, Wind giving a small chuckle once all was done and Mike wiped the edged of his mouth, because a wolf was not the neatest or cleanest kisser.

Giving a sigh Mike relaxed a bit, it wasn't till the laughter of someone gained the three's attention, all eyes shifting to the mouth of the cave as Elder Moon's Shadow stepped in,

"I'm so glad that you all are getting along" he stated with a smile, Wind quickly jumping from straddling Mike's lap.

"I must say I kind of expected Wind to behave like this, but I am slightly surprised that Koro has also opened herself to be claimed by you," the old man's words were a bit strange, Mike not sure what 'claiming' a female was as that hadn't been brought up till this moment.

He was tempted to ask but Elder Moon raised his right hand as Mike opened his mouth to speak, "Do not worry about it at the moment Michael, you will be told of everything tomorrow night. I have come to gather you three so we can begin our celebration of the newest member of our clan."

Mike had been told by Koro that they would have a large celebration in celebration of the Northern creatures death, as well as to Honor Mike's team and the fact that he would soon be a full-fledged member of the clan. The three followed Elder Moon as he lead them through the forest toward the area were the bon fires were being prepared, food being brought in by males and females while others prepared what appeared to be body paint. Drawing strange tribal like images on the bodies of the humans and wolves, even Dire wolves were marked. Mike found it interesting, yet he found himself grabbed by a tall Anthro female and pulled toward those who were marking the clans members. Despite his protest to this he found his body covered in this blue paste like color, having the choice between either blue or red and choosing the sooner, the tribal markings being laid out on his chest, back and arms while leaving his face clean as he had said to.

Those around him laughed slightly as he wandered off, curious as to what this kind of paste was and how exactly they made the color yet he didn't have time to think over it as drums began to sound off, old tribal drums that were struck with bare hands. They were joined in soon after by old wooden flutes and an acoustic guitar, that being a strange thing to see but Mike had to remember that this wasn't some medieval tribe in the Dark Ages, there was technology all over even If one couldn't see it. This clan was still surprising him with things. So the celebration had begun, the sun slowing beginning to set and the bon fires being lit soon after the chill began to set in, anthros and humans dancing around the flames and the music echoed throughout the forest as cries and calls echoed with the music to the farthest parts of the forest.

Mike was pulled into the celebration by Wind who had changed her clothing, dressed in a small black tank-top that showed her arms and stomach, red tribal markings adoring her arms and stomach while more was painted on her face and her lower legs as long baggy cargo shorts rested upon her lower body. Many eyes watched Mike and Wind as they danced about, Dire wolves such as Koro running around, the younger pups running around happily while Elder Moon's Shadow smiled happily with his mate sitting next to him, everything playing deep into the night, the music never ending as the flames caused the shadows to dance around with everyone. It wasn't till the morning that the music began to fade as the last of those who continued to dance to the flames, Mike finding himself laying upon the earth with Wind resting upon him, his head resting upon Koro and a young Dire Wolf pup who had taking a liking to him laying upon the top of his head and Koro's side.

Elder Moon's Shadow wandering through the remains of the celebration, smiling at the sight of his granddaughter resting upon their newest member of the clan, though his smile slowly faded as the thoughts of that vicious creature that came from within Mike. He still held a weariness of such a beast, yet held hope for the best as Wind, Koro and the rest of the clan tried their best as Elder Moon had instructed, to quell the young humans mind and hopefully end the anger and hate he held for the Lycanthrope. As Elder Moon thought over the past events over the seven days since the appearance of that beast, it was then that he was broken of his thoughts as his mate slowly approached him from behind. Turning to smile at the large Lycanthrope female,

"No, I am not worried. I believe in him and I know he will be fine...as will Wind and the rest of the clan" with that he approached the large female Lycanthrope, giving her a reassuring pat on the leg in passing, slowly moving back toward the large rock structure, the hopes of Mike's change being successful and peaceful. However it would only be time that would reveal such things.
