#2 of connection

Basically, I've been feeling pretty muchly completely uninspired, stuck in a rut, all that rot solely because I miss the guy who captured my heart, I'm honestly teary eyed just talking about it. So... I'm going to write about it. I'm not sure what I'll do with this, how I'm going to continue it... and so on but the point is. Here is the start of a story... Anyway, here's my first story. oh, and vote. and comments welcome, criticism welcome... hell. needed.

Alex was a red siberian husky. Always outgoing, always in trouble, and always thinking after he acted. It was his in his personality to be in some sort of trouble at all times, mischievous in nature. Despite being from a fairly large family he was always given the attention he desired and his parents both had well paying jobs so he lead an easy existence. Being of a fairly desirable breed girls had always noticed him but he knew from an early age he was interested in the bodies of his male friends and always subtly pursued them.

Now he was in college, on his own trying not nearly his hardest and doing fairly well. Other than a few botched exams here and there he was pretty satisfied with the way things had been going, other than on the emotional front. Things had just never been the same since his friend David moved away. He was a playful shepherd with everything in common with Alex other than appearances. David always came back and visited summerly, but those summer moments had quickly become the highlight of each of his years and would instantly send the growing dog into a fit of mild depression.

It all really started around five years ago, Alex was with David when they both decided it was a good idea to show each other their hard ons while their friends were playing the xbox in the front of the room. Since that day, their relationship had a sexual overtone backed by flirtatious play that always left both parties wondering about the other. Something common in boys around the age of fourteen, but this was something different. It would eventually escalate into sexual touching and cuddling one year but hadn't ever gone beyond that.

It was four in the morning and Alex had officially decided he was starting to lose his mind. His ears flicked and his tail was restless. He couldn't get rid of lingering feelings left by somebody who had become more than just a friend to him. During that past summer, he had finally taken his relationship with his best friend David to the next level. Even though they didn't do anything sexual before he went away, they both knew they had something special they could cherish.

Conversations with David from the past summer were constantly reverberating throughout his mind. David had told him about something where you can leave your body, and go seek out others and contact them despite the fact they were sleeping. He immediately told david it was a pile of shit but still couldn't help but think about it time to time.

The nights eventually started growing lonelier and sleep became seldom achievable during regular hours. Up until recently, clutching that pillow he'd been left had been working but lately the overworked inanimate object was no longer doing its job replacing the one he cared for so deeply.

Alex rolled over and thought to himself... fuck... and held tight onto the pillow, closing his eyes trying his hardest to vividly imagine David's face. Nothing. The tears flowed freely at this moment, pictures of them together and the times spent trying to plastered across facebook and his laptop, and for some reason he can't even get his brain to think about the shepherd his heart had become tethered to. Desperate times call for desperate measures, he immediately began trying to dislodge himself from everything material in his life. He buried his head into the pillow and thought of nothing but David while trying to carve out the entire drive from his apartment room by the university to David's house, multiple states up and over.

There's something about being in love that can make the most sane delusional, but Alex was convinced he had found him. He saw David sleeping there, lying asleep peacefully in his bedroom he'd seen so many times across skype. He could feel the familiar warmth of having David lie beside him as he reached down and held the sleeping body, hugged him and released. He finally had a bit of his sanity back and was ready to return back to his mental state in his own body, sent David a good night text and finally went to sleep.
