Tanya's Legacy

I was off the couch like a bullet flying from a gun. Dropping down beside Sienna I placed an arm around her and held her tight.

"Sienna, what's wrong?"

"It's the baby" she said through clenched teeth. "It's coming."

I helped Sienna up and over to the couch, making sure she was comfortable when we again heard the knocking on the door.

Turning to stand up I was stopped by Sienna gripping my hand. "Don't go." She gasped during another contraction.

Looking between her and the door I decided against even that short of a distance and yelled for whoever it was to come in. The front door slowly opened and Tamanae stuck her head inside.

"Tom! Sienna! Where you at?"

"In the living room. Go get Kelah, Sienna's in labor."

She opened the door wide and I could hear her telling whoever was behind her to get Kelah and make it fast." Before she finished she was beside us running her fingers across Sienna's head.

Sienna slowly relaxed after her contraction and looked up at me. I could see a little fear in her eyes as I sat on the edge of the couch. I leaned down and softly kissed her forehead then whispered, "Rest now, you're gonna need your strength for the baby."

She swallowed, "Stay... don't go."

"I will, as long as I can. You know that I would never leave you." She squeezed my hand and smiled.

Her hand left mine and reached for Tamanae. Gripping Tamanae's hand she pulled her down beside me. "Stay with me for this?"

Tamanae ran her fee hand along Sienna's cheek. "Are you sure? You don't want me to get..."

"No, I want you there."

"But what about your Mother?"

"She suggested it. She will be waiting, but thinks you should go with me."

Just then the front door opened and Kelah, Doc Travis, Steve and Xelinia came rushing in. Immediately Kelah took over. Looking down at me he smiled before he began ordering people around. "We need to get her into the bedroom. And someone let her parents know."

I picked Sienna up and carried her into the bedroom. I was just about to set her down when she grabbed me tighter. "No, I don't want to ruin the bed."

"Screw the bed, I'll buy you a new one if I have to." I replied as I gently set her down.

Kelah, Doc Travis and Tamanae came in right behind me. The two doctors immediately went over to Sienna and sat down on each side of her. I could hear Kelah talking quietly to Sienna and could see her nodding back.

Kelah turned to the crowd just as another contraction seized Sienna. She gripped my hands tightly as she gasped at the pain. I leaned down and began whispering into her ear. "I'm right here." I kept whispering to her until the contraction eased and watched her body slowly drop back to the bed. Leaning down I lightly kissed her forehead and watched her eyes flutter open.

Tamanae came up behind me and grabbed me by the shoulders. "It's time for you to go, I'll take it from here."

I looked down at Sienna and saw her smile and nod to me. "I'll be alright. Tamanae won't let anything happen."

I leaned down and kissed her on the lips. "Are you sure?"

Reaching up she pulled me back down and kissed me again. "I'm sure, now go before I have Tamanae throw you out."

Reluctantly I let go of her hands and watched as Tamanae slipped right up to Sienna and grasped her hands. Doc Travis grabbed me by the shoulders and steered me out of the room closing the door behind me.

I slowly made my way down the hall and into the living room only to see that most of the Wolf Pack was there along with Sienna's parents.

Steve was the first one to see me and coming over, he steered me to the couch and pushed me down right between Xelinia and Diane. Kneeling down in front of me he smiled, "Are you Ok?"

Slowly I looked up at him. "I'm having a baby."

A big grin spread across his face. "Then we need to get Doc Travis out here. How close are the contractions?"

I just looked at him confused for a second before what he said sunk in. I shoved him back and with a huge smile I said, "I mean, Sienna's having a baby, you idiot."The whole room broke out in laughter as I dropped my head in embarrassment.

"I know, I just couldn't help it." Placing his hand on my knee he looked at me and in a serious voice replied. "You gonna be OK?"

"I'm just scared. I mean what if something..."

Diane covered my mouth with her hand and turned my head to stare into my eyes. "Women have been having babies for centuries. Saying what if would be like saying what if I did a government contract without any red tape." This got a laugh from everyone in the room. "The only thing I would worry about if I were you is what are you gonna name the baby."

"We already decided that if it's a boy, were gonna name it Nathan and if it's a girl... were gonna name it Natasha."

Rayven looked up, "Isn't that Tonya's middle name?"

Looking down at my hands I smiled. "Yes it is, Sienna wanted to name her Tonya but I couldn't bring myself to do that. Then she dug around and insisted on Natasha. She said that since Tonya was such a big part of my life that I should always have part of her with me. I didn't want it but she was insistent about it."

Brenah spoke up just then. "Have you talked to Tonya yet?"

"No, we decided to wait until the baby was born and take it for her to see. If it's a girl then Sienna was going to tell her why we named it that."

Diane placed her hand on my arm and with a smile asked, "What if you have twins?"

"Twins?" I replied in a broken raspy voice.

"Yea you know, two little babies. She did look awfully big there towards the end."

All eyes were on me as I looked down and softly mumbled, "Twins?" Pictures flashed through my head so fast that they all became a blur of white and I felt myself sinking into it.

The next thing I knew was my brain registering this awful smell. I flailed my arms as I jerked into consciousness. I found myself sitting on the floor with Diane holding me to her chest. "Wha...What happened?"

"I think I went too far with my joke." Diane said.

The word twins escaped my mouth as I shuddered. I looked up at Diane. "We never even considered it might be twins."

"I wouldn't worry about it. Just worry about what you're going to say to Sienna when this is over."

"How long was I out?"

"Long enough for Josh to get the ammonia capsule to wake you. How do you feel?"

"Like an idiot. Sienna's having the baby and I'm the one passing out."

"It's Ok, I know you care about her."

Just then Sienna's scream could be heard from the bedroom. I tried to stand up but Diane wrapped her arms around me tighter preventing me from moving.

"Let me go, she's hurting."

Diane didn't let go. "Undoubtedly, let me shove a watermelon up your ass and tell me that passing it wouldn't hurt. She's Ok, she has the best Doctors there with her. Just let nature take its course."

I knew everything she said was true, but I couldn't help but shudder and try to get up every time I heard Sienna scream. I just turned and curled up in Diane's embrace and tried to remain calm.

It could have been a minute or several hours later when Doc Travis placed his hand on my shoulder startling me. "Mama is ready to see you now."

Doc Travis grabbed one arm and Duvole grabbed the other pulling me to my feet. I was again off like a bullet, racing down the hall and through the open door into our bedroom. Kelah made a gesture for me to be quieter and motioned to Sienna as he left the room, closing the door behind himself.

I slowly made my way over to Sienna who was lying on her side holding a bundle of cloth. Looking up at me she smiled and patted the bed for me to sit.

Running my hand along the side of her face, I watched her smile. "Do you want to say hello to your Daughter?"

"Daughter?" I asked as Sienna lifted the bundle and handed it to me.

I gently took the bundle and cradling it in my arm I reached up and pulled the top back. My breath caught in my chest. I stared down at my daughter as she seemed to stare back at me.

Sienna saw me just sitting there. "Are you Ok?" She asked as she attempted to sit up.

Without taking my eyes off my daughter I reached out and caressed Sienna's face. "I... Yes I am, it's just that she's so beautiful, just like her mother."

Nothing could have been farther from the truth for staring back up at me was the most beautiful baby doe I ever laid eyes upon. She looked Identical to her mother except that the white on her jaw was a little narrower. "Hey there little one." I said as I took the hand that was caressing Sienna's face and gently ran it over the side of Natasha's cheek. I watched her close her eyes and nuzzle my hand for a few seconds before settling down and with a tiny sigh, fell asleep in my arms.

I watched her sleep for a few minutes then tearing my eyes away from her I looked at her mother. Gently, so as to not disturb the baby in my arms I leaned over and kissed Sienna passionately.

When the kiss broke off, Sienna shyly looked up at me. "Do you still want to name her Natasha?"

"I do, I think Tanya would be proud." Just as I finished saying that I felt a sense of happiness and acceptance sweep across my mind. "In fact, I know she would be proud."

"I still want to go see her and let her know as soon as we can."

"As soon as you two are ready, then we'll go see her." I said as I watched Natasha Sleeping in my arms. I couldn't get over how much she looked like her mother, the most beautiful person... fur I ever knew.

I watched as Sienna's eyes began to droop. Reaching up I gently caressed her face and with a smile I said, "Get some sleep, dear heart, you've earned it. I'll watch the baby for a little bit."

Smiling, she closed her eyes and soon was asleep. I slowly stood up so as not to disturb her and quietly made my way out of the room. Closing the door gently behind me I made my way down the hall and into the living room where everyone was still gathered.

Amanda was the first to see me enter and hurried over to stand in front of me. Slowly I pulled back the cloth and exposed her granddaughter's face. Amanda let out a quiet gasp as she covered her mouth with her hand.

"She looks just like her mother." She said as Brenah came up behind her and looked at the bundle. Amanda carefully wrapped her arm around my waist and leaned her head on my shoulder. "Is Sienna sleeping?"

"Yea, it took a lot out of her. I told her to rest and I would watch the baby."

"She's so lucky to have found someone like you." Brenah said, briefly looking up at me then back down to his granddaughter.

"No, I'm lucky to have found someone as caring as her." I said as I watched Natasha yawn and open her eyes. She stared up at me and began to squirm as I ran my finger under her jaw. She squirmed enough that her little paw came up and caught my finger. Drawing it back she looked at it quizzically then looked up at me. I wiggled the end of my finger a bit and she looked back down at it. Reaching up with her other paw she grabbed at the end and missed. I continued wiggling my finger until she managed to grasp the end in her paw.

Everyone laughed when she yawned and pulled my hand down against her face and snuggling against it, again fell asleep, not letting it go.

Everyone looked at Natasha and congratulated me and Sienna before they left. Soon only a few were still looking at the baby and talking to me. And one by one they left. Kelah gave me some last minute instructions before he left with Doc Travis.

Tamanae closed the door after everyone was gone and walked over, placing her head on my shoulder and looked down at Natasha. Grabbing my arm she led me back to the bedroom.

"We need to talk later." She said just before she opened the door and led me over to the rocking chair I had bought for Sienna. Pushing me down in it she smiled. "You rest for a bit. I know you're not gonna sleep so just sit here and enjoy your daughter. This way when Sienna wakes, you'll be right here for her."

She turned and walked out of the bedroom, closing the door behind herself on the way. Standing up I pulled the rocker over beside the bed and setting down, I reached out to Sienna and grasped her paw in my hand. I felt her hand squeeze mine as a smile crossed her muzzle.

I don't know how long I sat there holding both my daughter and Sienna's paw when I felt her shift in bed. Looking up I watched as she yawned and opened her eyes. Looking around she saw me setting there and smiled. Reaching over I placed our daughter back into her arms and watched as she just looked at her.

Sienna looked up and into my eyes. "You know, we never finished our discussion. Who was she?"

I looked her right in the eyes and softly said, "It was Clair."

"Clair? I thought..."

"I told you that I would never do anything to hurt you or anyone else here for that matter. She needed it and frankly I just gave it to her."

"But why Clair?"

"She was evicted from her apartment for having a pet. She told me that she wanted to find a house near here and I got an idea. I would rather be here with you and I really didn't want the hassle of owning the house anymore so I sold it to her."

"When you said you sold your house, I got upset because I thought that you sold it to some stranger and that he might be able to find out that we existed. I was scared that we'd be hunted down."

"I'm sorry that I didn't make it clearer to you when I told you. I should have been more careful when I explained it."

Sienna looked down, "No I shouldn't have yelled at you like that. I know you would never do anything to harm us. I just didn't think."

Leaning over I kissed her on the forehead. "Let's just say we were both wrong and pretend that the argument never happened. I don't want to remember how angry you were, and I don't think that you want to dwell on it either."

Reaching up she placed her paw against the side of my face. "I will let it drop if you will forgive me."

"There's nothing to forgive dear heart." Leaning down I kissed her and felt her relax into it.

When we parted Sienna looked up at me. "So your house is sold?"

"Not yet, I still need to sign the paperwork. We're going to do that this weekend. Then with help I'm going to bring the rest of my stuff here and never leave you again."

I walked around and lay down behind Sienna, wrapping my arms around her. She snuggled back against me and together we watched our daughter sleep.

Tamanae left us in the bedroom and went into the kitchen to begin preparing dinner. She told Sienna that she would stick around and help out until she was on her feet again.

As she prepared dinner she thought of little Natasha. It was uncanny how she looked like her mother. The coloration and even the markings that she saw were almost an exact copy of her mother. She thought about Tom and smiled.

"I hope one day I too can have a beautiful daughter." She said to herself as she put the food into the oven.

Two arms wrapped around her when she stood up causing her to jump. Turning she looked at the human who held her and smiled. Wrapping her arms around him she kissed him passionately then rested her head on his shoulders as he held her.

In a soft voice he said, "I promise one day you will have your child. Our child."

"I know, it's just I hate the anticipation. I just don't want to loose you."

"You won't loose me."

"Promise?"

"With all my heart I promise you that."

She kissed him and placing her head on his shoulders just held him tight. All too soon she watched him close the door behind him. His words still echoed in her ears. 'I promise that one day you'll have your child.' As that still rang in her ears she continued getting dinner ready.

With dinner finished Sienna and I sat on the couch as Natasha had her dinner. I couldn't help but stare at Natasha. Who am I kidding, I was staring at Sienna's tits. I couldn't help but think what her milk would taste like. Sienna watched me for a minute and was just about to say something when I suddenly shook my head and forced myself to turn away before it became too uncomfortable to sit.

Instead I focused my attention on Tamanae who was in the kitchen washing the dishes. I had offered my assistance in cleaning up but she just smiled at me and told me to spend time with my wife and child.

I told her she didn't have to do everything around here to which she replied that it gave her some time to spend around the baby.

Laughing I said, "Oh the baby, does that mean you don't like me?"

Slapping me on the arm she replied, "You know what I mean. She's so irresistible."

"Oh and what am I? Chopped liver."

"You jealous that the baby is stealing all the attention?"

Sienna laughed, "No, I think he's jealous cause the baby is using his toys," she said as she hefted one of her tits for emphasis, "and he's being left out. Or should I say, high and dry. That's what you were staring at wasn't it sweetie?" she asked as Tamanae and here both watched me.

I buried my head in my hands and shook it as I felt my face redden from getting caught staring. Truth be told she was probably right.

"I guess that answers your question Sienna." Tamanae said with a grin as she sat on the couch beside Sienna. They both laughed at my expense.

When Tamanae had made herself comfortable, Sienna suddenly turned and handed Natasha to her. Tamanae sat wide eyed as she accepted the little bundle and looked down at it. Sienna in the mean time had pushed me to the end of the couch and with my back wedged into the corner, sat in front of me and leaned her back against my chest. I wrapped my arms around her, resting my chin on her shoulder as I watched Tamanae giggling and talking to the baby.

I had just got comfortable when there was a knock on the door. Tamanae was just about to get up when I stopped her. "You just sit there and hold the baby and I'll get it."

Pulling myself out from behind Sienna I made my way over to the door. Opening it I saw Steve standing there looking kinda nervous. "Hey Steve. What's up?"

"Do you got a few minutes, I need to ask you something?"

"Sure I do, wanna come in?"

He shook his head. "I'd rather not if you don't mind."

"Oh, Ok then." Turning back to the girls I said, "It's Steve, he wants to talk for a bit. We'll be back in a little while."

Sienna smiled, "Ok, you two have fun and don't get into trouble."

Smiling I turned and followed Steve down the road.

Tamanae fidgeted in her seat for a few minutes and then taking a deep breath she looked at Sienna. "Um... Sienna?"

"Yea."

"Um... I wanted to talk to you about something and I'm not sure how to say it."

"You know you can talk to me about anything." Sienna said noting the seriousness of Tamanae's voice.

"It's just that... Well... I've fallen in love with someone." There she thought, its out and she felt a little better.

"That's great, does that explain why you've been happier lately?"

"Yea it is, it's just that I never expected to be in this kind of relationship."

"What do you mean?"

Tamanae sat up and looked at Sienna before looking back down at the floor.

"Don't tell me it's with another woman." Sienna said.

Tamanae smiled at Sienna. "No, no it's nothing like that. It's just that I never expected to fall in love with who I did... and... as quickly as I did." Tamanae looked up at Sienna. "How did you know that he was right for you?"

"What do you mean?"

"I guess I mean, how did you know you were in love?"

"It's hard to explain. At first, I didn't know any better and just wanted to know everything about him. The more I knew about him, the more I wanted to find out. After I thought I knew him, everything I did, I did because I wanted to... I don't know... make him happy I guess. The more I made him happy, the more he made me happy. After awhile I couldn't imagine being without him. That scared me, so I ran. After talking to you, I realized I was in love and I missed him so much. I went with Kelah on a gathering trip with the hope of being able to slip away and see him again."

"That's when you were attacked." Tamanae stated not as a question but as a fact.

Yes, when Rodane went down I ran. I was going to run home to get help but found myself outside Tom's house. I told him what was happening and he went to help. We were able to escape while he fought the wolves. When we got back here I told daddy that he had better go help Tom or I would leave and never come home. Kelah said he would go and see what happened and left with a large hunting party. When they returned they told me that they took him to the humans and they helped him. I was so... I don't know, heartbroken you could say. I didn't know if I would ever see him again." with that, sienna started to cry thinking about what would happen if she lost Tom.

Tamanae pulled Sienna over and with her arm around Sienna, waited until she could continue. Sienna slowly calmed down and continued with her story.

"The next day when Kelah sent for me, I went to his office and found Tom lying there recovering from his wounds. So many emotions flashed through my head, anger at my father and the party for lying to me, fear that Tom wouldn't be ok, relief that he was ok, but mostly happiness that we were together again. I vowed right then that I wouldn't let no one separate us again. I can now say that if it wasn't for Natasha here, I don't know if I could go on if something happened to Tom. I gave him the cane so everyone would know that I chose him to be with me for life."

Tamanae stood up and walked several feet away. Looking down at Natasha lying in her arms she softly said, "That's how I feel now. I don't want to be away from him at all."

Sienna walked over and stood beside Tamanae. Placing a hand on her shoulder, she waited until Tamanae looked at her. "This sounds serious, is it anyone I know?"

"Yes it is, and I need your help..."

"You know I'll help you all I can, as long as it's not Tom." Sienna said laughing.

Tamanae handed Natasha back to Sienna then walked over towards the door and looked down. Well here goes nothing. "Don't be too shocked at me when I tell you that it's..."

I do hope this answers some questions but I know it will present more. So bring them on, I can handle them (Uhh... Just go easy on me. I'm fragile)
