** After a terrible war, humans were dying.** Cats, dogs, reptilian and birds were almost the only things left. Ethera was the animals last hope, well not for the cats...
** ** In a cave, not far away, was a German Shepherd. His name was Sirius. Right now he was thinking about how life used to be, as a pup, with his brother and his sister. He would lie in his bed with them, and get food whenever he wanted, he had life easy. His brothers name was Sark, and his sisters name was Mira. He thought now how the war effected him, so.
"Sirius, wake up!" Sark had howled into his ear. Sirius was now alert, "What is it brother?" he asked. Sark looked worried, about to expload with fear, "Mira is missing, and so is Lera!" Sirius quickly stood up, "What happened to them?" He replied. "I'm not sure, I heard yelping and I woke up. And Mira and Lera were missing, I have no idea who must have kidnapped them, or where they were going." Sirius walked to the cave opening and looked about. He did not hear, or see anything.
But, he could smell a cats scent! He signaled to Sark a 'follow me' with his front paw. Sark followed him. Sirius and Sark were quiet, with their snouts to the ground following the cats trail. They had left the saftey of the cave, but now, after the war, nothing was safe anymore.
Sirius stopped in his tracks, lifted his head and said, "Sark, the trail is gone" Sark lifted his head and turned it sideways, "But I don't see anything here, where are we anyways?" Sirius looked behind himself to look at Sark and said, "I don't know either, but we must keep going. Mira and Lera could be in some really bad trouble."
So, they contiued their long walk. And finaly got to something, it was an abandoned house. Maybe this was the evil felines lair! They both ran over to the building, and ever so slowly, went inside. But to their mistake, it was empty. "Sirius, wait a minute, it's not empty! I smell something" Sark put his snout to the air. Sirius had replied, "And look, it's a feather... it is a falcon feather!" he pointed to a feather on the floor with his paw.
Then a bird dived right infront of them, and landed infront of their bodies. He screached, "What are you doing here? This is for me only! It's my house, I live here!" The dogs looked at each other and Sirius spoke up to the bird, "Please, we are looking for some other dogs that got lost, we had no idea someone lived here. Please forgive us." The falcon just ruffled up his feathers and said, "Well, you are forgiven. I suppose, only because you don't know about the great Ash." and he started a long story about his life, and said he fought in the war. Sark and Sirius were listening to every word, and when the bird was finished, they said together, "Wow... that's amazing!" They heard about how the bird had flew through the foggy skies, delivering scrolls, with some ink on them, that formed words.
"Oh, I'm so sorry, we must be going now, we need to find our friends now." Sark spoke up. The falcon squacked, "Wait, please don't go! I have so much more to tell you!" Sirius now spoke and said, "Wait a minute, maybe you could help us 'great' Ash. With your great flying we could have sight from above, to see farther." Ash was so excited, he replied, "Sure, I will follow you! I haven't had a friend sence the war!" Sark annd Sirius both thought it was strange that the falcon was furious, to happy. But they didn't mind, just as long as he stays happy.
