Foster Family Part 1
#1 of Foster Family
"Meet your new parents," the state official, a rather short beaver, said to me.
I looked up at the couple that was going to, temporarily, take care of me. A grey wolf with hazel eyes and a floral pattern dress was smiling at me as was her husband, a large and rather intimidating black wolf wearing an equally black suit and red tie. His size would probably scare little kids, but I saw an excited kindness in those amber eyes. I walked up to them and the grey wolf immediately wrapped her arms around me, hugging me like a relative she hadn't seen in a while.
"Nice to meet you too," I giggled when she finally released me. Her husband laughed at my humor while she became a little embarrassed at her over affection.
"They've only just become foster parents, so try not to give them a hard time," the official said winking at me. I just laughed and turned to the wolf couple.
"So then 'mom' and 'dad', can we go home now?" I asked.
"Of course! I can't wait for you to see our house, meet our parrot, and your new brother! Jonathon, help the dear with his bag!" The grey wolf exclaimed excitedly.
The black wolf took my only bag of belongings and we walked to their car. He put it away in the trunk while I seated myself in the backseat, keeping to myself. What bothered me...was this new brother of mine.
