The Hunt

I must warn, if you don't want to see death, gore, and a very brief, brutal rape (just the tail end and aftermath. I wouldn't have even written it in, but I think it adds to the effect.), please move on to the next story. Its probably better, in any event. The last one isn't what the story is about, thus no "rape" tag, but I wanted to warn you. ...Enjoy. :)

The Hunt

The crashing within the tree line instantly drew the attention of the pair of hunters as they loped across the recently disturb field of wild golden wheat. Making quick, quiet motions between themselves, they made way for the shaking forest. The hunter on the left, Duns'fkat, nimbly knocked an arrow to his bows string and crouched down at the base of a tree on the edge of the clearing. He looked to his hunting partner on the right as the calico stretched up against a concealing tree about three yards away, holding a long sword at the ready beside his head, tip pointed stock still and straight up. The thrashing within the forest was headed away, deeper into the wood; much to the pairs luck for it made the tracking of the dangerous beast much easier. "Gl'fkat." Duns'fkat whispered to the calico. "Run ahead and flank it on the right. I'll come up behind and we'll attack from both sides."

Gl'fkat nodded to his tiger-stripped tabby ally and ran away down the line of trees for twelve yards before plunging into the forest, making little noise at all as he ran to catch up with the vile monster that they had been tracking since morning, ever since the bodies had been found in the town square.

Duns'fkat gave his friend a twelve count head start before slipping into the concealing bows of the forest himself, following the creature in its very own wide wake. The devastation that its blind crashing had left behind was great; brush on the forest floor crushed by large, frantic foot prints, bushes savagely ripped asunder, and small trees uprooted had they stood in the killers way. And a killer it was, the tabby reminded himself as he slipped from one ravaged spot to the next, quickly gaining on the beast that was forging the way for its pursuer.

Last night had been the night of the harvest festival, and the whole village, as well as members of the outlying farms, had been in attendance to see the celebrations of the bountiful fall harvest. The mead flowed freely, as had the music and the good will of the participants, as the revelry lifted even the heaviest spirit in its waves and carried the entire populace along the sea of merry making and mirth. Sweet mead, sweet music, and sweeter friends, Duns thought to himself, letting the taste of the nights memory temporally wash aside the bitter taste of what had sent the pair on their quest.

Temporary it was, though as, the memory brought on the next, and then the next.

When the harvest celebration reached its peak of emotion and became most boisterous, Jhoan D'Mak lifted his mug toward the assemblage, calling for attention. With cheers, the town reciprocated the call with shouts to the affect of the head farmer's glorious efforts and great bounty, some put toward the making of the fine mead. Jhoan D'Mak chortled at the applause, then pounded his empty paw against the table for a more attentive observance to an announcement he wished to make. The cheers died a little, but the cheers were only held in check by the mouths for there wasn't one eye that didn't gleam in mirth. They knew the announcement, and half the town had been waiting for months for it to be official. With the accumulated people finally quieted, Jhoan D'Mak drained his mug and spoke.

"I have an announcement to make! The most lovely Janata S'gatta and I have been given Donth'gatt's permission to be wed!" The crowd cheered anew, and the roar rose as the fair Janata stood by her husband to be. "The wedding is to be a ten-day hence, and all are welcomed to observe our steps into the golden light of matrimony!"

The memories of the jubilation slowly faded away as Duns'fkat's mind touched upon the sights of the morning after. A shrill cry of anguish had woken Gl and Duns from their bed, and the pair ran out into the village proper with only sword and bow in hand, fighting off the grogginess of mead and sleep in the still morning air. Within the town square a group of crying farmers were circled around the gory scene that stilled the lightest heart and made every warm stomach run cold with ice. In the square lay both the head farmer and his betrothed, cut and disfigured by a savage beast. Jhoan laid still on the cold ground eyes wide in horror, head split in two by what could only have been a large axe blade. three feet away Janata was sprawled, cut in many places and brutally raped, unimaginable pain stamped forever on the tattered features of the once heavenly face.

A set of bloody prints headed south from the scene, and moments later the pair of hunters were dressed and on the trail of the brutal killer. From the village to the fields they had tracked the beast, never catching sight. Much of the day had worn away as their chase continued, and the sun was well past its zenith when they finally heard their query charging through the woods.

The sounds of battle pulled the feline out of the bitter reverie. "Gl..." He breathed, knowing his mate had engaged the creature. Quickening his pace, Duns charged headlong toward the sounds of metal on metal.

"DUNS-Gerk!"

The strangled shout instantly sent ice through the felines stomach as he charged headlong into the scene that awaited him. There it stood, amid the sparsely packed trees, holding a struggling Gl'fkat up in the air by his throat with its fully extended left arm. The right arm was poised back, readied to bring a large axe head up and across. A ten foot black bear, wearing only a leopard skin loincloth, held Duns love in the grips of death. All thoughts of the festival and the murders and the hunt fled his mind. Running on instinct, the bow sang out once, twice, three times as the bears axe started to rise, with Gl'fkat's eyes following the axe head in terror. The first two thuds plunged into the bear's back, and the third sunk deep into its right side, as it turned to meet its new attacker. Again and again the bow string sang its song of death, plunging a fourth and fifth arrow into the beast's hide.

The bear drew back its left arm and, with a powerful throw, turned Gl'fkat into a missile of its own, hurling the strangled cat at Duns'fkat. With barely enough time to think, Duns dropped the bow, braced his legs, and accepted the blow as he caught his partner in his arms, riding out the energy of the throw with his hips, back and arms, almost toppling over in the process.

Blood ran down Gl's body in numerous places, from cuts on his torso and arms; none of which were as worrying as the bloody gash of the calico's neck where the bears claws had gouged him. A quick glance told the hunter all of this, and that was all the time the cat had to spare as he laid his partner down and prepared to fight the now charging bear. Without his bow, all Duns had to fight with were his claws and maw. Not much against a ten foot bear wielding an axe. Springing forward, the cat met the bears charge, racing onward full speed, claws extended to defend his fallen love. As they ran toward each other, the bear lifted the axe for a powerful downward swipe, meaning to cleave the cat in two. Having been in a few woodland battles, Duns caught the bear by surprise by changing his direction from the bear, angling toward a tree that stood just off to the left of the two. With a quick spring, Duns lept onto the side of the tree, feet claws digging in as he rolled out the momentum and bunched up his leg muscles for a sideways leap. The bear was a faster thinker than Duns had thought, and brought the axe back around its head and swung at an angle to cleave the cat from head to toe. Instinct had saved Gl, and now it saved Duns as he launched himself at the bear, hand reaching out for the bear's axe. The jolt of grasping the powerfully swung axe pained Duns greatly, seeming to wrench his arms out of their sockets as he swung over the handle, raking the bear across his face with a side flung left foot, destroying its right eye before letting go of the axe to fly through he air and land on the ground. Duns landed on the ground, balance lost by the desperate maneuver, and crashed into the ground with a pained cry.

Moving as quickly as his wrenched arms and now sprained right foot would allow him, Duns climbed up off the ground and stood in a weak fighting stance, squaring off with the bear who was tugging at the ax which was now deeply embedded in the tree. For many moments the pair stood as thus; bear growling curses as he ineffectually tugged at the fixed ax, cat growling away the pain that was running red fire through his waning muscles, until the axe pulled free with a terrible groan of wood on metal. Duns crouched down further, readying to meet the killer head on, knowing that no other tactic would prove fruitful with arms and body thoroughly battered. Chances of even surviving seemed pitifully small as the half blinded bear waded in toward the wary cat, axe swinging menacingly back and forth. The evil grin on the bears face as it charged in with a few quick swipes that sent the injured cat scrambling was quickly changed to one of shock as an arrow pounded into the creature. Twenty feet away, leaning against at tree with Duns bow in hand stood Gl, knocking another arrow and letting fly. It flung off true, striking a spark off the axe head, and the next flew farther off as the hunters strength finally failed him, collapsing in a heap at the base of the tree, the bow falling from his lifeless hands.

The arrows had been poorly aimed, not really finding much of a bite in the bears thick pelt, but they had done their job. With the bear distracted, the now sprawled Duns cast about for a weapon to defend himself and saw not more than two feet away Gl's sword laying in the leaves. The bear was still eying the collapsed Gl when Duns scrambled over to the sword, taking it up, and charging the bear with the last reserve of energy he could dredge up from the pit of his soul. The bear finally turned beck to see the blade inches from its heart, and had only enough time to widen its eyes as the blade pierced its skin, slipped through its rib-cage, and skewer its heart. The beasts death throws were anti-climatic compared to its fighting brutality, for with a sigh it merely fell to its knees and slumped forward, further impaling itself on the sword.

Staggering over to his mate, Duns collapsed beside his love, wishing nothing more than to fall into the velvet blackness that was threatening to consume him. The fatigue took him over just as he curled up around Gl.

The scream ripped Duns from his restful sleep. Panic flooding his veins with adrenaline, the hunter lept to his feet and jerked his head back and forth, searching for the noise that had woken him from his slumber at the base of the tree. Again the scream rang out, just off to his right, and without thought broke into a sprint toward the sound of the cry.

The sounds of agony and death was a beacon to the feline as he raced toward the source of the cry. After seconds of running through the forest, limbs and brambles grabbing at his fur, ripping clumps off the cat as he fought his way through, Duns broke into a clearing in the woods. And there, in the middle of the woods, stood a sight that killed him just as surely as an arrow through his heart.

In the middle of the clearing were the bloody remains of Gl, his body savagely defiled and raped, dismembered by the axe of the black bear that loomed within the middle of the bloody carnage. The bear was covered with the calico's blood, and viscera and semen matted the bears fur in many places, most notably around the bear crotch, from with the loin cloth was missing. Standing fully erect, the bear lifted the dripping ax onto his shoulder, tauntingly as he finished using the lower half of Gl's torso for his vile enjoyment, tossing the bloody remains aside like so much rubbish.

The world seemed to fall out from beneath Duns, who weakly collapsed to his knees, falling back onto his hunches his complete and total despair. His vacant eyes didn't register anything but the staring, open mouthed head of Gl that hung by the bear loin cloth from a wooden pole in the rear of the clearing. Not even the evil laughter was able to pierce the horror as the bear tauntingly walked over to the emotionally destroyed cat, fondling its stiff member as it began to run ideas through its as to what fun games it would be able to play with this new feline.

The shock, the pain, the despair, was all to much for Duns as his mind slipped back into the darkness.

"...Duns. ...Duns!"

Duns jerked awake at the bottom of the tree, screaming Gl's name in waking terror, and burst into hysterical, joyful tears at the sight of Gl, whole and only with his few minor wounds, crouched in front of him, shaking his shoulder to rouse his terrified love. With a lunge, Duns wrapped himself around Gl and began kissing him repeatedly, breathing Thank the gods between kisses as he buried his maw into his living friend.

The now prone Gl lifted Duns head from his neck where the cat had started to nuzzle him, and asked, "Are you alright?"

"Yes. Your alive. Oh, thank the gods, your alive." Duns replied, kissing Gl deeply on the lips, and then told him of the dream he had had while he slept after the desperate battle.

"Yes, I'm alive. " Gl said, getting Duns to rise so that that could retrieved their scattered weapons. Indicating the mound of fresh turned earth near where the fight had seen its climax, he added, "And that black bear is very much dead. I buried him while you slept."

"More than he deserves." Duns said, slinging his bow over his right shoulder.

"Much more." Gl agreed, sheathing his sword. "Come on. there's a stream not to far from here. Let's go clean up."

With a smile of peace on Duns face, they walked arm in arm in the direction of the stream, and were soon bathing in its chilly autumn waters.

The sun was at its zenith on the day after the battle, and the pair laid on the grassy patch between the forest and stream, drying off in the sun.

Their wounds had already started to heal, and the gouge on Gl's neck looked much worse than it actually was, promising to heal shortly.

They laid there, letting the sun dry their nude bodies, while Duns slowly stroked Gl's stiff furred chest. Gl purred to his lover's administrations, and grunted as the paw traveled slowly lower, tracing the various scars on his torso, making its agonizingly way to his penis, which stood at attention in the suns warm, caressing light. The purrs increased in depth and volume when Duns began to stroke Gl's member, which was already leaking precum in Gl's anticipation for the affair he knew was to come. The feel of Duns rough tongue caused Gl's sack to jump, squirting pre unto Duns tongue as he slowly licked Gl's shaft, one hand gently massaging Gl's throbbing sack and the other massaging his own erect member.

Moment after blissful moment passed as Duns licked up and down the shaft, briefly passing over the sensitive tip which was now variably flowing the sweet salty fluid that Duns loved so much. To the responding accompaniment of Gl's lustful groan, Duns took the penis fully into his mouth, sucking the pre off while he bobbed his head back and forth, wrapping the abrasive tongue around the responsive feline as he milked the member, slowly bringing Gl to the climax that was building within his loins.

Gl began to buck his hips in rhythm to Duns motions, the clouds of passion taking over as the urge to satisfy his own needs filled his vision. The fact that filling Duns mouth with his seed was what Duns craved as well only ratcheted the ecstasy to higher levels as the pair writhed in passion, Gl humping faster and faster toward his peak, Duns responding by sucking faster and harder to meet Gl's needs. Before he even had a chance to warn Duns, Gl reached his climax, spraying his seed deep within Duns' mouth, who continued to bob and suck, drinking down the white substance like the nectar it was, relishing in the salty taste and warm texture.

With a sigh, Gl rested his hips against the ground, looking down at the cat that was still sucking the last bits of sperm from the softening member.

"Your turn." The calico said huskily. pulling the saliva soaked member out of his lovers mouth as he rolled over, lifting his tail to the sky to show the puckered anus to the sunlight.

Duns' own member was well lubricated by the glistening precum that was dripping from the tip. Not wasting a second to finish what he started, Duns straddled the prone feline, lifted Gl up into a more conducive position, and slowly slid into Gl's tight warmth. The pair both grunted this time, Duns at the closing pressure and Gl at the opening, as Duns slowly pressed deeper and deeper until his sack pressed into the widened cleft of Gl's buttocks. Together, entwined in there poise of lovemaking, they remained for minutes, soaking in the warmth of the sun an the heat from there pressed bodies. The pressure in Duns loins became to much, though, and soon was slowly pulling halfway out and then pushing all the way back in, rubbing against Gl's prostate again and again, sending wave after wave of ecstasy through Gl's mind, causing his body to shiver in response.

Duns tried to go slow, dragging out the pleasureful feel of his loves body encasing his aching member, but when Gl started to press back, meeting his thrusts, he could no longer contain himself and began to press forward at a ever quickening pace until the sounds of the forest and the stream was drowned out by the deep feline purrs, the deeper, intermediate growls, and the wet slapping as the bodies met again and again. The pressure in his sack was unbearable, and feel of the tight anus was too much for Duns, and after two more quick, powerful thrusts, he hunched over and pressed as far in as he could, pulling Gl down onto his member by the shoulders as his balls lifted and his penis began to fill the ready space with his seed. A covey of doves broke out of their cover a quarter of a mile away as Duns shouted into Gl's side, riding out the waves of pleasure and fulfillment as his sack finished emptying into Gl's colon.

Thoroughly spent, the pair collapsed onto the ground, and there they laid curled together, not wanting to pull apart yet, just wishing to continue feeling the inside of the other. Duns sleepily began to fondle with Gl's limp member, noticing as he did that Gl has climaxed again while Duns was deep within the throe of their love-making.

With a sigh of contentment, and a smile at a job well done, Duns whispered "I love you" as he slipped off to sleep.
