#1 of The Tale of Eric

Lately I have been fascinated with a web comic known as the Las Lindas series. Not because of the enormous, gravity defying breasts, *cough, cough* but because the story has PLENTY of wiggle room for fanfics. This story is set in the Las Lindas universe, and for those of you that haven't read it, I strongly suggest you do. EDIT: A prime is a bestial anthropomorphic creature, usually ranging greatly in species. EDIT: All Las Lindas cast belong to Chalos

The tale of Eric. Chapter 1: Accepted.

Eric stood outside of the College and wondered if this indeed was the best college he could get into in Gossamer. With his many scholarships for writing, photography, and music, he could have gotten in anywhere. So why this college? The question still stirred even as he was elbowed by a tall, hulking lion prime. The imposing man laughed at him as his arm wrapped around a black rabbit female with strange white markings in her fur. It was hard to stand up for himself, being an average Collie male. His eyes had small teardrop shaped black fur paths down his muzzle, and his white fur had spots randomly around his ears that were black. He dusted off his button up polo and walked into the walls of the campus, hoping to find his dorm and roommate. He finally stumbled upon a lavish white building, with a bronze plaque that stated, "Class A students Dormitories." He smiled and hefted his bag over shoulder, whipping out his key as he walked the halls populated by chatty freshmen. He found his room, and noticed the door was already ajar. He sighed and walked in, hoping to not find a drunken frat boy or a disgusting groupie. But what he found left him speechless. "Yes mother. No, the dorm is fine, I don't need a private room. Yes... My roommate should be here soon. I'll call you later" came a angelic soft voice. Eric hid in the doorframe and listened, hearing a sigh and the sound of a bag being opened. It couldn't be. No one told him this college was coed. He took a deep breath and walked into the room, his mouth tight from shock at the woman in front of him. She was a bear, with a striking resemblance to high Prime Ambar. Her long red hair was unpinned, cascading across her back, perfectly shaped with no wiry threads, her posture was immaculate, the essence of poise, but what caught Eric's emotion the most was the way she presented herself. She wore a black skirt with a white V-neck shirt, the sleeves pulled down to expose her shoulders, evident that she was not wearing a bra to restrict her obvious D cup breasts. Her blank eyes met his and he suddenly realized they were both silent. "Hello. My name is Eric, Eric Van Strauss." He said with an extended hand. The young bear grabbed it softly and shook, her eyes never once leaving his. "Naerie. I suppose you are my new roommate then. I find this acceptable as long as we abide by each others rules." She was the high primes daughter, Eric realized. "And what rules would you have me abide?" He asked politely, setting his bag on the opposite bed. "Do not ask me about my mother or politics, she is not one to discuss those matters. Two, Do not treat me as if I am of high authority, I am here to learn just as you are. Three, do not ask me to bring my spirit out, she is a guide, not a plaything. And four, no obnoxious guests please. Now what are your rules?" she asked while crossing her arms, as if anticipating his answer. Eric thought for a moment and sat on the bed, drawing a beat up old guitar from one of his packs. He had no qualms with Naerie, nothing that would upset her balance. But he did have one rule. "Do you mind if I play my music and sing in here?" He asked quietly. Naerie cocked her head to the side and pondered for a moment. "what kind of music do you play?" Eric strummed a chord on his guitar and chuckled. "No rock, a little pop and jazz, that's about it." Naerie nodded her head and walked towards the door. "That's fine." He smiled and put his guitar away. He looked around the room, amazed at how aesthetically pleasing it was. The walls were oaken red, and the cherry hardwood floors added a warm, earthy tone to the dorm. He wondered why Naerie would bunk when she could afford her own house. But right now he needed entertainment. He walked out of the room and bolted the door, stretching as a group of chatty females briskly walked past, passing out strange slips of paper to few people. A busty squirrel spotted him and bounced over, looking him over as his eyes were drawn to her tits, which barely remained hidden beneath a tube top and fishnet. "New to the Primeship?" She asked as her smile widened, her hand resting on her hip in a sultry pose. "Yes, it is my first year here." Eric stated, his eyes trying not to fall away from her eyes. "Well then this is a formal invite to Davin Preacher's dorm party tonight!" She cried out while tossing a small bit of confetti in the air. "I was told only to invite handsome people to this EXCLUSIVE party, and you are right up my alley pup!" She added while placing the invite into the front of his jeans, patting his crotch with a grin. "And it's okay sugar, my eyes are DOWN here..." she whispered huskily as her finger went from her face to one breast, tugging at the tube top. "See you tonight pup." Eric remained stiff with shock and arousal, not even noticing the hushed whispers about what had just taken place. "Well you sure drew out the crowd didn't you?" He heard Naerie say, noticing she was standing right beside him. "What the hell just happened?" He whispered. Naerie pushed past him and entered the room, closing it behind her as her sentence reached Eric. "Welcome to the Primeship."

~At Davin Preacher's Party~

Eric ditched his polo for a long sleeved shirt and promptly left his dorm to see what the dorm party was all about. Davin's dorm, nearly half a mile from where Eric was staying, was brought closer as a gold cart with a lion in shorts and a tank top drove up and waved him down. "Hey! You heading to Davin's party?" the lion asked, his grin wide and welcoming. Eric smiled and hopped on the cart, extending his hand to meet the lions. "Names Eric, just got here a few hours ago." He said, holding on as the youthful prime hit the gas. "Tobias, but you can call me Toby if you like." Eric froze as a grin grew across his face. "Toby? The masseur from Paraiso? I worked there last summer as a portrait painter!" Toby slammed on the brakes and stared at Eric, a sudden grin stretching across his face. "Holy shit! I remember you, you painted High Prime, Tila, and Messiah!" He said with a laugh. Eric nodded his head and the two recounted tales of their dream job on the way to Davin's dorm. As Toby pulled up, he stopped Eric and leaned in close to whisper. "Dude, is it true you and Messiah... you know." He said while inserting a finger into his hand. Eric froze and blushed, turning away and thinking carefully on what he would say. "A story for a later time, I tell you my secrets, and you tell me yours." "Fair enough." Toby said with a smirk. They walked into the building and Eric's eyes went wide at the scantily clad females that roamed the halls. Some went as far to be topless, and Eric struggled to contain himself. "Like I said earlier, Davin throws the greatest parties." Toby yelled as he slapped Eric on the back. Eric stumbled and caught himself, looking up just in time to spot a fluffy tiger striped tail pass down the hall. He recognized the markings and wondered if it could be who he thought it was. He followed down the hall and was stopped by a tall raccoon with a harem of girls behind him. He stopped and looked Eric over, finally smiling and shaking his head. "You're the one that is bunking with the high primes daughter? Geez what a joke." He said with a laugh. Toby came behind him and knuckled his head, pointing at Eric while prodding Davin. "Hey man, this guy worked at Paraiso with us, you know... the painter?" he said with a smirk. Davin turned a shade pale and shook his head slapping Eric on the shoulder as if they were old friends. "Well, well, in that case welcome to the party, be sure and introduce yourself to Angel, she's a painter as well." and with that the harem and Davin fell amidst the crowd by the pool. He felt as if he didn't belong, and headed out to leave before hearing a quarrel brewing at the pool. He turned around and saw a group of people circling around two people, and Eric immediately recognized one of them. The tall tiger female looped her arm around a red and yellow haired vixen, clinging to her like a child to her mother. The blue hair was recognized most by Eric, and he pushed through the crowd and whispered her name beneath his breath. "Traci..." He saw a black rabbit with marking in her fur going toe to toe with the vixen, a fire brewing between them. "You wont get away with this." The vixen yelled. "Tell you what, if ONE person stands up for you, I'll apologize and leave you alone." she spat back, her finger burying itself deep into the vixens chest. Traci wrapped an arm around hers with a look of concern, and the fear in her eyes set Eric aflame. He stepped forward between the rabbit and Traci, his hand pushed towards her. "Back off." he said with a snarl, drawing whispers from the crowd. "Oh, and who are you? Another fuck-buddy of Vixy? Go get yourself checked boy." she snarled. Eric thought she must be Angel, though the attitude did not match. "no one talks to my friends that way. Especially not some tattooed, beat down slut." Angels eyes narrowed and she clenched her fists, pushing Eric back towards the pool. "What the fuck did you just say? Davin is going to rip your asshole wide open when he hears about this." she said while continuing to poke Eric. He smiled and grabbed her arm, turning to the side and letting her motion throw her into the water. "Looks like you need to cool off." He yelled, brushing his hair out of his face. He heard a roar and turned around to see Davin running at him in a head long tackle motion. Aside from years of art, music, and writing classes, Eric had also been trained in human Tae Kwon Do. He maneuvered to the side and raised a hand beneath Davin's chest, flipping him into the air and right on top of Angel as she came up from the water for air. From there the group stared dumbfounded at the young collie parting around him as he walked up to Toby. "Where did Traci and Vixy go?" he asked with a cold expression. Toby made no move to fight, and nodded his head at the dorm. "Anne just ran in there to see them." Eric nodded his head and walked past, ignoring the screaming and cussing echoing from the pool. All of which came from angel, who was yelling at Davin for failing to protect her. Eric walked into the bar area and spotted a strange hybrid standing at the bar, her clothing resembling a aussie hunter. He approached her and nodded his head, smiling as she looked him over. "Tiggers was just talking about you. Supposin you are the same guy she was raised with." she said with an Australian drawl. Eric sat and grabbed a beer from the fridge thumbing the rim as he took a drink. "We were raised side by side years ago. Back then I called her Pancake. On account of her loving pancakes. She left after we turned ten, and I went my separate ways shortly after." Anny smiled and placed a hand on his arm. "Her an' Vixy, they got no friends but themselves and Hope. It might be good for you to go an' talk to em'." She said while pointing to the staircase leading upstairs. "they went to Tiare's room, Tiggs is probably trying to calm her down. Vix is mean when she hit's the bottle." "Noted, and thank you Anne." Anne tilted her khaki hat and smiled, walking back out to meet the partiers. Eric walked up the steps and hear soft crying from the room, and leaned in to sneak a peek through the crack. He couldn't see Vixy or Tiggs, and heard a muffling sound. He opened the door and froze as he stumbled on Traci with her lips locked on Vixy's, both silent as their eyes remained closed. Vixy was the first to stop, and saw Eric in the doorway. "Who are you?" she yelled, standing up with her fists clenched. Traci stood and placed her hands on Vixy's shoulders, hiding her as she cried. "Vixy... this is my friend, Eric... Remember, we talked about him last year." Vixy sniffled and nodded her head, pushing Traci back and fronting Eric. "Why did you stand up for me?" she demanded, her eyes red from the tears. Eric looked away from Vix and sighed, his hand reaching behind his head. "Because Traci would have done the same for me. No one treats my friends that way, no matter how much they may deserve it." Vixy remained silent as she wrapped her arms around herself, turning away from Eric as Traci tried to comfort her. Eric felt an overwhelming sense of sadness, knowing full well what people could do to hurt others. "Tiggs... I'm going home, just... Let me think about this alone okay?" Vixy sighed as she grabbed her jacket and waked past Eric down the hall. Eric looked at Traci and shook his head, rubbing his ear while wondering what had just happened. Traci walked up and sighed, her hand resting on the side of her face as she leaned up against the wall. "Well this isn't how I expected to see you again Pancake." He chuckled half-heartedly. She smiled sweetly and walked up to him, the swaying of her wide hips placing him in a trance. Traci had never been a skinny girl, but she was also never fat as a child. She had a bigger build than some of the "Model quality" girls Eric had encountered on campus, but she was extremely sexy nonetheless. Her long blue hair was tied to the side in two tails, one on each side. Her eyes told him a story of confusion, of passion, and of unbelief. "I didn't honestly expect to see you ever again." She whispered, stopping short of a foot away from him. Her green eyes softened, giggling as he drew a thin, frayed strand of thread from around his neck and placed the small fork charm between his fingers. "You still have that old thing?" She asked. "Never took it off." She smiled wider and extended her arms, drawing Eric into a hug as he heard her cry softly. "It's good to see an old friend. With Vixy... Trying to keep her up is a lot of work." Eric thought of a way to bring her out of the drama, and smiled to himself as he held her back. "You know where we can grab a bite to eat Traci?" She smiled and nodded her head. "There's a pancake house near here, and call me Tiggs... everyone else does." He nodded his hand and placed his arm in hers, both walking out of the party together. "Alright Tiggs."
