#5 of The Tales From Zion

I woke up from my nap to the smell and crackle of burning wood. My ears perked up to pin point where the fire was at. Well that's good, it doesn't sound like a very big fire. Maybe it's just a torch outside the caravan. I reasoned as I got out of Zachary's bed. I rested my head into my paws whining under my breath as I sat down in the rabbit's chair. "I want to know if Zachary is alright so badly," Tears started to fill my eyes as I held ahold of my head. My heart beat slowly as I lay down on the priest's desk and gently traced a small heart pattern onto it. As I rested my head there, I could pick up the faint, but sweet scent of Zachary. I frowned as my dripping tears landed and drenched it gently.

Wiping the table dry, I pulled out a piece of paper and my lone writing utensil. I pressed the tip against the paper for half a moment before my ears perked up and to hear the noise from before but much louder and.... Oh goddess no! My paws shoved my writing material back into my bag before rushing over to the door. The inside of the carriage started to become humid and filthy and fumble the lock open. I pulled my paw in pain and placed it into my mouth. I need to find a new way ou..... wait, no I need to make a way out. One these people wouldn't expect.

I started gazing for around for a way out. I guess it's out the back. I chuckled silently to myself as I picked up the first sturdy thing I could find and bashed it against the back of the carriage wall. I started grunting angrily having little luck in breaking a whole into the wall. My heart began racing as I felt the flames starting to engulf the carriage. Adrenaline started to kick and I bashed against the wall faster and stronger.

*crack*

My heart raced happily and I grinned as I heard the wood start to give way. Come on! Give away! The voice inside of my head screamed loudly as I trashed the wood aggressively. I winced loudly as my arm busted through the wall, giving me a couple shallow cuts. My heart pounded as the heat started to become unbearable. Panic-filled I pulled out the Rakken sword and hacked it into whole, expanding the hole larger. Once I got it large enough, I tossed the two prepared bags far out of the carriage. Please be far enough away! I don't want them to burn.

I growled and pulled my arm back inside before started hacking away at the hole again. There I think that should be big enough. I though as I sheathed the sword to get ready to leave. Taking on last glance around the carriage, I ran and pushed my lithe body through the hole. I bit my lip to keep from screaming out in pain as the carriage collapsed into a fiery mess before I could pull my legs all the way out. Before to I suffered any more pain I pulled my legs out of the wreckage.

The slight burning pain was so anguishing that I buried my legs into the ground. As the ground cooled my aching legs, I reached out for the bag with Zachary's writing and pulled it close. I best find a way to keep this safe. I looked around curiously for a place to put the bag. I frowned finding no place good enough to place the bag. I guess this will have to do. My paws started to unearth a small hollow large enough to hold the bag.

As I lay there, I heard a familiar voice echo to my ears. Rust! I smiled and pushed myself off the ground. I pushed myself off the ground and grabbed my bag of weapons tightly and slung it over my shoulder. It's now or ever.

So this is going to be one of the last two things I'm going to upload or try to upload before my birthday. As much as I would love to see comments on them, I'm not going to ask you all of that. Though if you could lend a helping hand I'll be ever so greatful. My group has three people we need to get saved. If you could go here http://www.sofurry.com/page/288668 and vote for either Dillan, Zeke, or Jasper I'd be thankful.
