New Face in ponyville part 2
Diamond Race and Rainbow Dash took their starting positions at the Running of the Leaves trail, Spike and Pinkie pie took their positions as the commentators.
"see you after the race" Rainbow Dash said laughing
"tell that to my flank, if you can catch it"
Then the race started, both rocketing forward,
"well Pinkie, looks like things are starting off hot"
"maybe some hot sauce would be good for this"
"oh, ok... well both are keeping their pace"
Diamond Dash started to sprint, gaining some distance, then Rainbow Dash came back to her side, then picking up speed
"wow, their running like a machine, aren't they Pinkie?"
"their running more like a Pegasus and a fast Unicorn, or cupcake mix when you use to much water"
as the two ponies reached the home stretch, Rainbow Dash started to unfold her wings.
"Hey, I didn't say you could use your wings"
"and you didn't say I couldn't"
As Rainbow Dash started to get some air, Diamond jumped onto her back and brought her back to earth "sorry, you're grounded" Diamond returned to her sprint and Rainbow Dash got up and started running.
"this is gonna be close"
"maybe we should get a higher balloon"
When the dust finally cleared both were across the finish line
"who won?" Diamond and Rainbow asked in unison
"Good thing I set up a camera" a rather delighted Twilight told them
The picture came out with both coming over in a draw,
"wow, Rainbow, you're a fast one, I'm almost sweating"
"what's there to be happy about, you broke my wing"
"WHAT!?" everone else chorused
"when you jumped on me, you broke my wing" an angry growl from the enraged Pegasus started up
"I didn't mean to hurt you"
"then why did you do it"
"I just wanted you to keep on the ground"
"yeah right, maybe you just got rid of thing that could've helped win by accident, "didn't mean to" my flank"
Rainbow Dash stormed off to the balloon, "take me home Pinkie, I can't fly because of SOMEPONY!"
"Great, Twilight, I'll see you back at the library" Diamond started to skulk away, head hung in remorse, as she arrived back at the front gate there was a van being driven by some earth ponies,
"you Diamond Race?"
"yeah"
"sorry about the delay, we had some bad traffic, where are you staying?"
"at the library, follow me"
The earth ponies started to follow the unicorn back to the library.
"ok, get the stuff out, I need to think,
"ok we'll put the stuff in the library, you take it from there"
"agreed" the unicorn was mumbling still shaken from the guilt"
a few hours passed as Twilight and Spike returned, Diamond had sorted out her living space and welcomed them back
"how's Rainbow Dash?" Diamond asked, hoping she felt better
"still pretty angry, I think you should stay from her for awhile"
"ok, thanks"
the sunset had started, Diamond Race went to her room, tired from the race and trying to sleep of the guilt...
