A furry world - Part 13
"Hey anybody home" I shouted as I walked in through the door lugging our suitcases.
"Lupy is that you? Your home early" said Stripe coming around a corner wearing an apron "I'm not done cooking yet".
"Yeah we cleared all the checkpoints faster than we thought we would" I said as I put the suitcases down. "And why are you here?"
"Ok I got everything out of the taxi but why is there a taur car in the parking lot?" asked Laika as she came in behind me and immediately spotted Stripe "Stripe what are you doing here?"
Stripes just chuckled "Well since you both asked, I'm making dinner and no I'm not telling you what it is it's a surprise. Candy come here dear looks who's back".
What happened next could only be described as being hit by a very furry and slightly pink cannonball as candy came barreling down the hall and jumped right at me. Luckily I caught hir just as shi bounced off me.
"SIS!!! I missed you so much" she said between tears as she clung to me.
"Now now let go of Lupus and go call gre... Sarah and the two of you go put your bags away and get undressed the food should be ready in an hour".
We did as we told and to be honest it was great to finally get rid of the clothes we were wearing. After two weeks of only wearing anything if we felt like it the trip back was really bad. By the time we were done Candy had returned with Sarah who was wearing a straw hat with holes for hir ears and hir fur was covered in dirt
"Lupus, Laika your back and here I was hoping to have a shower before you got here" shi said looking at the earth stained hands.
"We saw the front gardens they look really beautiful" said Laika smiling and heading over for a hug but shi side stepped hir "Let me just go wash up bit then I can come greet you properly in the mean time why don't you help Stripe to get the dining room ready" said Sarah heading to the bathroom.
Again we just followed orders and soon the table was packed with food and us. It was fun to be together again and we swapped stories with each other all through lunch.
"I guess it's about time I told you why I'm here" said stripes as we were all relaxing in the TV room after the meal. "See today it's a double celebration. Firstly your return home and secondly Sarah has decided to take a chakat name and I came to deliver the official papers" shi said actually handing over papers.
"I didn't know you were planning to do that" I said a bit loudly looking at hir shocked.
"I saw getting a new name as the last part of accepting the new me" shi said the insides of hir ears turning pink "Luckily since lots of anthros changed their names it had become a lot easier to do that. I even got a new drivers license and everything"
"What is it?" asked Laika now also staring at the nervous looking chakat.
"Greenleaf" shi mumbled looking down at hir front paws.
"Well that fits you perfectly" Said Laika "Since you love plants so much it describes you really well".
"I agree now for some ice cream to celebrate" said Stripes before going to the kitchen. Needles to say shi didn't need to take the ice cream back.

"In world news. Attacks on anthros and anthro related places have risen since last week and there has been talk of relocating anthros out of areas with high numbers of incidents"
"Lupus please turn that off" said Laika leaning closer to me "It brings back bad memories"
The screen fades to black as I put my arm around her "I'm sorry love I just wanted to catch up on what has been happening recently" pulling her closer memories of that day flashing past my eyes.
"Sarah sorry I mean Greenleaf told me that three of hir job applications came back with messages saying that they don't hire animals" I said sighing "I had hoped after the festival things would have gotten better but it seems its only getting worse"
"Yes it seems so from what Stripes told me at dinner" said Laika yawning.
"I guess it's to bed with us. Tomorrow it's back to work"

"How do you do it? You were here two weeks ago now your back" I said walking down a street with Stripes "You must be out of holiday time"
"Firstly what I do with my time is my own matter and secondly im here to have a look at my new office" said stripes looking a little offended.
"New office?" I asked looking confused
"Yes. Since most anthros have left the facility I decided it's time for me to leave too" she said steering me down another street "So I decided to move here. There are a lot of anthros here so I should make some money for my own place".
We walked for a bit longer before arriving at a business complex "My place is inside they should have moved in all the furniture" shi said pushing the button on the nearest elevator.
The name on the door said 'Striptail Anthro Help Center' and it wasn't too bad a place. It was big and really professional looking and made to accommodate a few different types of anthros. As we left the building I started pulling hir towards the street.
"What are you doing Lupy" said Stripes getting hir arm free.
"Well I can't make you a nice dinner but I can still get you some ice cream" I said pointing to one across the road. "And the poster infront says it has my favorite flavor triple choc fudge"
I pulled hir along but shi insisted on getting us a nice seat outside while I got us cones.
The woman behind the counter was about to hand me our cones when I heard Stripe scream and suddenly a feelin of terror swept over me. I turned and ran towards the door bursting through it only to see something that caused rage to burn inside me like an inferno.
On the ground was Stripes and around hir were five guys just kicking and beating hir with whatever they could pick up. Shi was protecting hir face and trying to roll out of the way but they wouldn't let hir.
I let out a roar that deafened all the other noise around me before charging at them. My first blow caught one under chin as he looked around; it lifted him clean off his feet and smashed him into a parked car. After that I reared onto my hind paws and brought down my massive front paws onto the chests of two of the guys. They had turned to see who was attacking them and my weight forced them to the ground. Suddenly there was an intense pain on my back and I turned to see the fourth guy hitting me over my back with an iron rod, my tail snaked around his neck and before he could land another blow I tossed him like a ragdoll against the wall then my heart froze. There was a gun shot.
I looked at the last guy he had a gun but it wasn't pointed at me but at Stripes. I pounced towards him my claws extended and I slashed at his chest leaving three deep cuts across his chest as the blow swept him aside and away from us.
I went over to hir staggering as the rage began to die but I gasped as I saw blood coming from hir chest. I ripped of my top trying to use both ours to stop the bleeding. I don't know how long I was trying to save hir but suddenly I felt a sting and on my rump was dart, looking up I saw a man with a gun and tried heading towards him. Two more darts hit me and the drugs began to take effect.
As I went down all I could think was "Please don't let hir die"
