Hey everyone! I hope all of you are enjoying your Sunday morning~ I wrote a little something for you, I hope it's to your liking. A short story I decided to write to take a small break from working on chapter 4 of Nearly There. Hope it's not too crappy. Have a great day~

"You got a new mission, do you accept?"

"I accept"

"This ones simple enough, find him, and end him."

"It shall be done, give me the location as to where I can find him."

"Here"

The cloaked fur slid an envelope over towards Blaze. Picking up the envelope Blaze turned away and headed into the darkness. He walked through the streets, staying out of street lights and staying within the dark as he proceeded back to his quarters. Walking up to his door he pulled out a keychain full of keys, going up to each lock on his door and unlocking each one. He walked in and turned back, locking each of the 7 locks on his door.

He sighed quietly as he walked through his dark lonely home. Sitting at his desk he flipped on the light, opening up the envelope as he started looking through the papers. There wasn't much information this time, just a location and a time. No real information on who the target was, not even a name. The canine didn't mind though, he didn't question his employers ways.

He sighed once again as he flipped through the papers a last time, putting them back inside the envelope before putting it inside his desk. Getting up and walking into his other room he slowly prepared for his day tomorrow. Grabbing a few knives and his short blade, quickly cleaning it before moving onto his gun. Checking his clip ammo before he scavenged around for his silencer. Finally laying out his weapons for tomorrow on his table he walked into his bedroom, starting to slowly undress himself, tossing his clothes into the hamper as he walked by the mirror he stopped and stared at himself.

He admired his body and every definition he had, the doberman started to glance over his entire body. Looking into his grey eyes, the small glint in them, just filled with fury and passion. Looking down at the rest of his body, his dark black and tan body. Tightening his muscles as he continued to admire himself. Flexing his abs briefly before grinning at himself, slowly turning away as he made his way over towards his bed, quickly checking under his pillow to see another blade underneath. He put his pillow back, closing his eyes as he slowly started to doze off into his sleep. Opening his eyes moments later as he let out another sigh, starting to think to himself of how its already been two years since everything happened. He groaned as he felt another restless night ahead of him.

Jay walked hand in hand with his boyfriend as they walked down the street, he smiled over at his boyfriend Ry, they laughed and giggled as they continued on down the street.

"Good to see old friends."

"Your old friends."

"They're your friends too Jay."

"Not really, but I don't really mind. All I need is you."

"That's sweet...I can't believe I've already spent two years with you. It hasn't even seemed that long."

"I know, its crazy."

They continued down the street before finally walking up to their home and unlocking the door. Jay smiled as he felt Ry walk faster in front of him, tugging his paw along as he headed towards the bedroom. Ry stopped just before the door, turning back to Jay as he smiled, telling him to wait there for a minute. Jay raised an eyebrow as his lover turned away and going inside the room, closing the door behind him. The wolf stood there, wondering what he could ever be doing inside. Silently tapping his foot as he awaited. The door suddenly flying open as he felt a hand grasp onto his shirt, tugging him inside, he let out a small chuckle and a grin.

"C'mere mister!"

============

Blaze did his best to fight his tears as he laid there, turning onto his side to glance out the window, he started to see the sun slowly make its entrance into his room. He took one deep breath as he sat up, closing his eyes as he sat in his bed. He groaned as he fell back, head slamming into his pillow. He felt little to no motivation to even get ready. His ears perked suddenly as he thought he heard an odd noise off in the back. He tilted his head a little towards the door, hearing small creaks in the floor he started to reach for under his pillow. Noticing his door start to open a little he grasped onto the handle and threw the blade into the door, slamming it shut once again. He continued to stare at the door as he slowly got out of bed, suddenly a voice appearing out of no where behind him.

"Hearing things are we now Blaze?"

"Just thought I heard a rodent about, that's all." Turning around and grinning at the sudden morning intruder

"Pesky little things aren't they? Anyway...Moving on, I heard you have a new mission today?"

"Indeed" "Do you know your target?"

"No."

"Oh, heh...Then it shall be interesting."

"And why's that?"

"Oh, nothing." "Are you done then?"

"So quick to get me to leave? That's a shame, I thought we could have some fun..."

"Not interested in fun today."

"Don't you want to at least know who your target is?"

"If the CEO didn't want me to know, then it was for good reason and I leave it be."

"But I'm dying to tell you."

"That's a shame, now. Good bye."

"Poo.."

The canine sighed as he started running a paw through his hair, grabbing a pair of pants from the closet as he slipped it on. Walking out into the kitchen he thought if he had enough time to make himself breakfast before he started scouting out his newest mission. Walking by his assorted clothes for wearing today he looked at them, grabbing the jacket and threw it aside, he thought that it was too dark and noticeable. He just wanted to be another in the crowd, discreet and quick as usual. Going over to his closet to pick out a more brighter jacket, shrugging as he just grabbed a white one. Standing near his window as he got dressed, looking out into the city.

"Good morning handsome." Ry smiled out as he rolled onto Jay.

"Ohai..." Grumbled the wolf as he wrapped his arms around his love and held him tight, closing his eyes again

"You have to get up remember, you have a job interview in an hour."

"IN AN HOUR? Shit..."

"That's a whole hour to get ready, plus the place isn't even far."

"Still, that's short notice...I need to get up now."

Grunting as he pushed off Ry, quickly getting up as he ran into the bathroom, running a paw through his hair as he stood in front of the mirror, he thought to himself he didn't have time for a shower if he wanted to eat breakfast. Turning on the sink as he splashed water onto his face, standing straight up again as he patted down his face with a cloth, suddenly feeling arms wrapped around his neck he felt a shiver down his spine. He pushed away the arms as he moved away slowly, turning around to see it was Ry, making a cute pouty face.

"I'm sorry, that was just, sudden. Didn't hear you enter."

"Aren't you going to shower? Cause I'd like to join."

"I don't have time if I want to eat."

"That's a shame...I really hoped we could have fun!"

"Enough is never enough with you is it?"

"Not with you babe."

Blaze put on his hood as he started to walk through the crowd of people in the street, it was a cloudy day, briefly looking up into the sky he hoped for rain. Rain seemed to be the last thing left that he loved so much. The canine felt like he was going to be late, looking down at his watch he nodded before pushing through the crowd faster, he hoped that his target would be where the description said and on time. Finally getting over to the location he paused for a minute, walking over towards a pole he leaned against it, the crowd had passed and he glanced at his watch again, five more minutes he thought to himself.

"Five minutes...Such slack..." Muttering to himself as he glanced back and forth.

============

The night before~

"You can NOT afford to let this target live, he must be eliminated"

"Understood."

"Do you need anymore information?"

"Everything I have to know is in this envelope right?"

"Correct."

"Then we are done."

============

"Shit shit shit, I'm going to be late, I know it"

Jay muttered to himself as he ran down the street, he looked down at his phone briefly as he continued to run down the street. Looking back up as he suddenly saw a man walking in front of him inches away, holding a cup of coffee he tried halting to a stop but the force was too much as he collided with the man. The mans coffee spilling out onto Jay's shirt, the wolf falling back onto the street momentarily. He groaned as he leaned up, noticing the man also on his back he leaped up to his foot paws, holding out a hand.

"Oh my gosh, I am so sorry sir, I wasn't watching where I was going and I'm in a hurry...I'm sorry."

"Oh, accidents happen." Grasping onto Jay's hand as he stood up.

"Are you okay?"

"Yeah, I'm fine. In a hurry for a job?"

"Yes I am, running late late late."

"Well, things happen for a reason...."

The man said while walking away, Jay turning back around as he questioned what he said last, but the man disappeared within the crowd as it shuffled along the street. Shrugging it off a little he turned back, glancing over to his left he saw someone that looked familiar.

============

Blaze watched as his target was right on time, watching as he fell from bumping into another, watching from his pole he awaited quietly. He watched quietly as the other man disappears into the crowd he slowly started to move towards his target before stopping dead in his tracks. His target turning towards him, his eyes widen as he realized who it was. He felt the sudden warmness of the city burning underneath his jacket. He watched motionless as the wolf walk towards him, he felt like turning away and going back home but it was too late since the other had seen him already. "Fuck!" he muttered under his breath.

"Blaze?! Is that really you?" Jay exclaimed as he walked up to the doberman, wrapping his paws around him as he hugged him

"Heh...Uh...Yeah, it's me alright..."

"What are you doing here?"

"Coincidence?"

"You know I don't believe in those."

"And I always wished you had."

"You haven't changed much...Except you feel more muscular now...hehe"

"It's been what... two-three years...." Blaze muttered hesitantly as he knew it had been exactly two years since the day before

"Two years, yes...Would you like to go for coffee or something?"

"We need to go. Now." Blaze glanced around as he saw another hooded figure off to the back, he grabbed onto Jay's arm as he tugged him along.

"Why are you grabbing me? What's this all about?"

"You're in danger and we need to leave now."

Blaze ignored what else Jay had to say as he quickly pulled him into the crowd, sliding his paw down onto his paw as he tugged him along, he looked back to see him blush and followed along behind him. He turned back as they walked past kiosks in the street, grabbing some clothes from some as he walked by, turning back and handing it to the wolf. The canine gesturing him to put them on as they turned and briefly stopped in the middle of the crowd, sitting at a bench. Blaze telling him to put on the cap and sweater as they sat there. The doberman quickly glancing back and forth, looking around as he sat there, noticing a street camera on a street light he turned and hid his face from it.

"Tell me what's going on, no ones even following us."

"That's because they're staying hidden, look, your in danger. I'm protecting you and we need to go. Now."

"This is ridiculous, let me go. I have a job interview to go to, and I'm late."

Jay said as he stood up Blaze quickly tugged him back down as a blade flew past above them, flying straight into the man behind the wolf. They turned back to see the man behind them with a blade in his paw as he blinked momentarily, dropping his blade onto the ground as he put his paw over his wound. Blood starting to seep through as Jay watched him fall to the ground, his eyes widen at the sight of blood. A sudden scream emerged out from the crowd, everyone dashing away as they watched a man fall to the ground, a pool of blood slowly surrounding him as Jay and Blaze sat there. Blaze grasped onto Jay's paw as he tugged him up, starting to quickly make a dash for an alleyway.

"Wha-what happened...?"

"That knife was meant for you, along with the man that died, also here to kill you. If I wasn't there you would have been no doubtedly dead by now."

"W-why me?"

"I'm not sure but we need to keep moving. Let's go have that coffee now, does that sound nice?"

Watching as the wolf slowly nod, Blaze smiled, grabbing onto his paw as he took the lead, starting to run back down the alleyway. He started to hear splashes behind him as he looked back briefly and saw another hooded figure slowly pace behind them, splashing through the puddles. He gripped tighter onto Jay's paw as he continued to run along with the wolf. Turning back forward he halted to a stop as he saw another hooded figure turn in front of them at the end of the alleyway, he bit his lip as he glanced at the two, watching as they slowly stepped closer and closer. He felt Jay's paw starting to take a tighter grip onto his paw as they stood there, watching as they kept coming closer.

"Fuck." Blaze muttered to himself once again.

"What do we do now Blaze?...Blaze?"

Jay stood there, shaking his paw a little as he continued to watch the hooded furs slowly make their way towards them Blaze turned to his left as he saw a door, he reached out, turning the knob back and forth before grunting, thrusting his leg out as he impacted the door. The force making the door swing open, he tugged Jay's paw and pushed him inside, looking deep into Jay's shining blue eyes, the sudden thought of how this happened and why he was doing all of this. He pushed him inside more as Jay stopped and turned back, the wolf looking into the dobermans beautiful grey eyes as he looked down the alleyway. The look of fury glinted in his eyes as the canine let out a small growl.

"Aren't you coming...?"

"Run...Here go to this location and wait for me for an hour and if I don't arrive then don't go back home for a while and stay hidden." Blaze said as he handed him a piece of paper.

"You can't leave me alone! Please...Come with me"

"If I do then we will be continued to be followed by these guys, I'll handle this. Please, just go and be safe..."

"But-"

"Go now!" Blaze screamed as he shut the door.

============

The wolf slammed his head against the door briefly, tears running down his cheeks as he wondered what was all going on and why him. He continued to think as he banged against the door with his paws. Hoping Blaze would open it again and go with him and explain what was even going on.

"What did I do to make these people so angry?"

He muttered as he wiped away his tears He turned back starting to quickly make his way out of the building as he glanced once more back at the door, hoping that Blaze would come bursting through already. He followed the directions as he made his way towards the location, not stopping once as he made a fast pace down the street. Bumping into nearly every fur on the street as he didn't care anymore, he just wanted to quickly make it to the place. Bumping and hitting others shoulders as he felt a chill down his spine, he wanted to get there quickly.

============

Blaze stood there as the two furs stood on each side of him, he smiled softly as they paced a little side to side.

"Now what's the agency's top assassin disobeying orders for?"

"You wouldn't understand."

"Your right, we wouldn't. I think the CEO will be happy to see that the two of us ended the rogue top assassin, and finished YOUR job."

"Will he now?"

"I can hear him already, congratulating us."

The dark fur said as he lunged in forward with his paw, his hidden blade appearing out from his wrist. Blaze quickly stepped back and grasped onto his wrist as he turned it and pierced the blade into the other. The fur growled as he quickly pulled out the blade from the other, watching briefly as he too fell to the ground, his life leaving his eyes. He reached behind him as he grasped onto a handle of his short blade, pulling it out as he slashed it at the canine before him. Blaze once again dodging it's sharp edges as he kicked up his arm, his blade flying out his paw. Quickly kicking him once again in his chest as the fur flew back onto the ground, groaning as he slammed his head into the wall. Blaze running for the others blade as he picked it up from the ground, peering over the other as he smiled at him.

"You can send a message to your...Master, that the companies prized possession has gladly resigned."

Blaze said with a toothy grin He grasped the blades handle tightly as he slammed it down into the others thigh, watching as his eyes quickly widen and he let out a loud howl. Watching as tears formed in his eyes as he grasped his paws around his wound, still letting out whimpers as he held the wound. Blaze got up and walked away from the alleyway, hearing the other scream out in pain as he tugged the blade out from his leg, making his one last feeble attempt at killing the canine as he threw his blade at him. The doberman quickly turning around and grabbing onto the blade in mid air as he grips the sharp edges tightly, blood soaking down from his paw as he threw it down into the ground. He turned back as he tightened his fist, more blood seeping through from his paw as he started to run down the street towards the diner.

He looked towards his watch as he noticed that he had a half hour left before Jay would leave, he hoped that he was perfectly fine as he continued on down the street. Wondering what was all going to happen now that he has done this, and his previous thought had returned 'why am I doing all of this for him?'. He bit his lip as he continued to run down the street, the diner had finally came into view as his racing heart came to a slow as he saw Jay sitting at an outside table. He stopped as he looked him over once again. Smiling softly, watching as the wolf played with his own paws, sliding a paw through his head fur as he waited at the table. Blaze started to make a slow but fast pace as he walked over towards the table, any previous thought relinquishing from his mind as he made his way towards Jay.
