Preface

To most, our existence is an enigma. An unanswerable question, that continues to consume us. Religion attempts to give us the answers, but over time, our understanding evolves. That perhaps religion is only a guideline to what reality really is. It's up to us to take the leap of faith. All understanding requires faith, for we only believe we understand. This isn't a story about faith and religion, but an equally plausible outcome to what happens when we die.

Through quantum physics, we've discovered that our reality may not be the only one, perhaps only one in an infinite sea of possible universes. As hard as it is to believe, it isn't just theoretical. We perceive reality through the mind, just a wave of probability that our brains translate into conscious experience. In the multiple worlds interpretation, there are an infinite amount of parallel universes. Each with minute, or extreme differences. All depending on physical laws and circumstance.

Suspend disbelief, explore metaphysics among other things. Consciousness and reality are inextricably linked. This is a story based on what might be a possibility of our existence. According to a mind experiment, it is impossible to experience an outcome where one dies. For the wave function collapse will always cause you to survive. Does this mean we may be immortal? It could be. Though due to the same principal, anything is possible.

What if when you die, your consciousness merely continues to exist in a parallel universe? If so, this is where I hope to be.

Paralleled Anew

Ever since Blake was a kid, he always felt closer to nature and animals. Collecting stuffed animals, hanging out with his best friend Patches (a stuffed cat). He felt he could relate more to animals. Then again, most kids have stuffed animals and imaginary friends. But it went a little deeper with Blake. As he got older, he felt more uncomfortable with his humanity. Blake realized at a young age, that there was evil in the world. People who hated others for being different, and found pleasure in causing pain. He despised even being a part of the human race. When he became a young adult he became inspired and saw the world in a new light. Becoming more and more interested in quantum physics and its amazing possibilities.

Blake experimented sexually at a young age, not knowing what he was doing at the time. After finding out, he became conflicted and finally realized he was gay. He realized when going through puberty, by finding the furry fandom. Somewhere he felt at home.

He knew immediately that he was a fur. Blake hated his human body, although he wasn't overweight or unattractive, he couldn't stand having greasy skin and course hair. He much preferred to have been covered in soft fur and have fluffy ears and a tail. He'd fantasize all day about living in a furry world, where life was peaceful and loving. Where no one judged you, and love was embraced. Could such a place really exist? Could that ever be my reality? He wished with all his heart that it could be. But alas... he couldn't deny the reality he was currently perceiving. He even tried hypnotism to change his reality, but nothing worked.

Years had gone by and Blake had taken control of his identity crisis, to an extent. He still yearned for his furry world. Though he realized, some things aren't meant to be. Even though Blake didn't obsess over it, It was always there in the back of his mind.

During the day, Blake worked as a telecommunication technician for a telephone company. Fixing connections, setting up networks, dealing with costumers... He didn't hate it, and it was good money. He drove around in a company van to various locations to do work. Sometimes going long distances to find a site. Ironically, Blake had a fear of flying on planes. Ironic because, the possibility of dying in a plane is significantly lower than in a vehicle. Knowing this fact didn't stop Blake though. He was in control, so he could get out of any situation.

Except on that day.

Blake was cruising down the highway, doing about 120km/h, when he started fantasizing about his furry world, and its differences or similarities. Almost peering into a reality he was already living. Blake had started to zone out a little when he almost missed his exit. Having to go onto a two lane road with no lights in the middle of night wasn't Blake's favorite. Especially with oncoming traffic with their high beams on. While he was driving, the started having an odd feeling, as if something bad were to happen. He suddenly recalled numerous events during the day that could have caused him to not be where he was at that moment. For instance, he wouldn't have been there if he hadn't offered to take the job for one of is coworkers. Or if he hadn't rescheduled a doctors appointment for that day. Ignoring the feeling, Blake turns on some music to calm his nerves, when he sees a glinting light in the distance. They were eyes of an animal on the side of the road. Looking closer he saw a figure of a wolf standing there... Blake adored wolves, one of his favorite animals. It was the animal he felt most in tune with. The closer he got, he realized it was walking right in the middle of the road! Slowing down, Blake saw that there was a semi behind him coming up fast, he couldn't stop, or he'd be rear ended. For a split second, Blake imagined running through the wolf... the sorrow he would feel, the pain. He then imagined turning and dodging the wolf... the relief. The moment came where he had to make a decision.

He turned as hard as he could, just missing the wolf. Blake looked back in his rear view mirrors to see if the wolf was okay, and he saw nothing. But the minute he looked forward... he saw headlights. And then he saw blackness.

It felt like a dream, like he was drifting away in his mind. Blake stood motionless as he imagined the same wolf appear. Not understanding what it could be, Blake asked the wolf, "What are you?" The wolf replied, "What you've been waiting for."

Blake felt the dream start to fade, as he started to wake up. He found himself in a hospital room. Not the first time in his life, seeing how he used to skateboard and snowboard a lot. Even though he was used to finding himself in a hospital bed, he still couldn't believe he had survived a head on collision at 60km/h. In fact, it most certainly should have killed him.

Waiting for a nurse to come in and fill him in, Blake couldn't help but feel awkward. He noticed a large lump at the base of his back, and felt a lot warmer than usual. He could even smell the roses from across the room, and hear the birds chirping with the windows closed.

Something odd had happened, but he couldn't figure it out. Staring out he window, Blake didn't even notice the nurse come through the door. Turning around Blake witnessed a female labrador changing his IV. Blake took one look, looked back out the window, down at his paws, and immediately passed out.

"Doctor! I need assistance in here! Mr. Corgan has lost consciousness!"

After a doctor enters the room, they check Blake for any serious problems, but conclude that he merely fainted.

"Did he say anything nurse?"

"Nothing, he just looked at me and then out the window."

"Interesting, perhaps the blood had rushed to his head." The doctor proposed.

Blake felt his eyes opening again, to the same hospital room. He then noticed another animal person holding a clipboard and stethoscope.

"No." Blake blurted out.

"This isn't happening. It can't be. I'm dreaming, that's it, a lucid dream. Nothing but an amazingly real dream."

The nurse and doctor look at each other inquisitively.

"Are you feeling okay Son?" The doctor asks.

"Oh yes quite fine actually, though I must inform you that this is merely a dream."

The doctor turns to the nurse and asks for a psychologist to be notified. "You may be suffering from PTSD, alright? You were in a major car accident."

"How did I survive? I was going 60km/h hitting a car head on, I SHOULD BE DEAD!"

Blake then realized. He had died. There was no way in the world he could have survived. And if he did, he wouldn't be in this situation.

"I did die. And now I'm here... I'm finally here!"

A leopard in suit came in the room, who was apparently the psychologist. The doctor turned to him and said, "The patient is clearly delusional. I recommend CAT scans of his brain to look for hemorrhaging."

"Blake looked at the very handsome cat and immediately began to become aroused. This was his fantasy taking place in front of his eyes. How could he not? He wanted to pounce this sexy cat and ravish him. Though he manages to restrain himself and try to calm down. Blake quickly realized, that if he was smart, he wouldn't bring attention to his little reality change. He knew if this day ever came, he'd have to keep it to himself. Or else be put in an insane asylum.

After answering a few questions from the attractive kitty, Blake manages to get discharged from the hospital. After walking out, he almost forgot, that he hadn't even looked at himself! He immediately rushes back inside of the hospital and frantically searches for a bathroom. After finding one, he bursts inside to look at his furry face. Blake takes one look at his beautiful wolf face and starts to cry tears of joy. He didn't care there were people around him, he continued to cry until he hugged one of the strangers out of pure bliss. Surprisingly, the stranger hugged back, twice as hard. They embraced for what seemed like a minute in the middle of the bathroom. When Blake looked up at who he randomly hugged, he saw a kind smiling husky staring back at him.

"Its always nice to get a good hug now and then, ain't it?" says the husky.

Blake stumbles over his words trying to say something, but couldn't manage a single one.

"You look like you could use someone to talk to, how would you like to go for a coffee or something? I'm Carl by the way, nice to meet you buddy!"

Blake didn't even realize that they were still hugging, and that he was a massive hard on. Realizing this Blake instinctively pushes Carl away in embarrassment.

"Hey now, its okay. I wouldn't have asked you out if I didn't have a... well, somewhat hard feeling that you wouldn't accept."

Still a loss for words, Blake feels his face getting very hot as he starts to blush. Not believing that he'd just ran into the love of his life, the minute he arrived in this reality.

"I-I'm Blake. Blake Corgan."

"Nice to meet you Blake, that's a cute name you got there."

Not having much experience with flirting, Blake just plays with his feet and blushes.

"You're lucky I have a thing for timid guys. 'Cause I just hit the jackpot!"

The two dogs walk to the coffee shop, get a coffee and muffin, and sit down. For a few minutes, they just stare at each other. Blake couldn't take his eyes off of him. Not even if he tried. His mind was swarming with erotic thoughts, and of love and friendship. Blake never believed in love at first sight, but after all, this was the first time seeing through his eyes. Perhaps its fitting.

"So, you gonna tell me what you were doing in the hospital?" asks the husky.

"Well, I... was in a car accident"

"Oh no! I'm so glad you're alright man."

"Believe me, I'm better than alright. Especially sitting here with you." Said Blake, trying to hide is red face.

"You are just too cute you know that? What are the chances of you just hugging me out of nowhere? And what were you so happy about? Being alive I guess."

Blake looked at his paws again and held back the tears.

"There you go again, I can see them tears in your eyes. Whats the matter?"

"You wouldn't believe me if I told you, but lets just say, its what brought us together."

Carl grabs one of Blake's paws and says, "I've never felt this way before Blake. Not this quickly, not this intensely. I've never had a boyfriend, or been on a date. No ones ever caught my eye quite like you did."

Blake smiles and replies, "I know what you mean. I've never felt like this even remotely."

After sipping their coffees and munching their pastries, Carl decides to go to the park.

"I'd love it if you'd come to the park with me, I know a spot where we can be alone." Blake accepts excitedly, knowing what "alone" really means. And just wanting to be close to his new husky friend was more than he could bare.

They take the bus to the park where there was a field and lake, a very large place, where there were almost no people. They walked into the clearing and up to the lake where they sat down next to some trees. The breeze was blowing through their fur, the birds chirping and sun shining. Blake felt the happiest he'd ever felt in his life. He didn't care if this reality was real or not. What he felt was real enough.

"Do you believe in love at first sight Carl?" asks Blake nervously.

"To be honest with you, I've never believed in that."

Blake looked down at his lap feeling stupid for asking.

"But after meeting you, I'm having second thoughts" Carl says grinning at Blake.

Their eyes meet and time seems to stand still. Blake could feel the stirring in his pants, just looking at this amazing creature gave him chills. After a minute of being locked in each others gaze, Carl slowly lays both of them down on the grass. Lying next to each other, Carl turns over and kneels over Blake's body. Their noses touching slightly.

"Please Carl, kiss me. I can't take it anymore. I want you so badly!"

Carl leans in and the two dogs mouths meet, tongues locked together. Blake could feel the huskies large wet tongue exploring his entire mouth, Blake's tongue doing the same. As they were making out, Blake grabs the huskies hips and pull his body towards his, rubbing their crotches together, their rock hard cocks already begging for stimulation.....

Okay, I'm done with this.

Let me know if you want more, HAHA.
