Star is a helper for the Grim Reaper. Star has beautiful blond hair, that stops at about half down her back, brown eyes and is about 5ft 7inches. She is also the same age as Josh. She can be a bit obnoxious. But over all she is kind, caring and thinks before she jumps. Her soul weapon is a gun, that has strange silver swirls covering the barrel. At the back of the barrel thereis a long chain, that was about 3ft in length. The end of the chain has a handcuff with the words "Stars Soul Weapon" The handle on the gun was mad out of a dark wood, that had the words "Soul Gun" carved on the side of it. She was asked to be the helper of the Grim Reaper only a month before Josh got his key.
She had heard that the Grim Reaper was recruiting new horsemen, yet unfortunately she was not one the chosen, unlike Josh, had been sent out on a mission to find some lost soul. Star had heard from her boss that he was taking someone under his wing, she did not catch the name of the guy. From what the Grim Reaper had told her he has long hair, wears two rings on his thumb and is about 6ft 5inches.
She could not wait to see what this guy was like in the sparring room. Her thoughts had gotten the better of her as she completely forgot about the mission, that was until a soul floated right in front of and bumped into her, nearly making her fall over. It was the soul that she was after, she pick up her gun and shot the soul in the head (or what seemed to be a head). With that done she picked up her things and set off, trying to get back as quickly as humanly possible.
Whilst star was completing her mission, Josh was at the nexus. Training like mad, trying to get used to wielding his weapon. Josh had been at it for 10 hours straight (nexus time, in human time I would be about 10 minutes). The Grim Reaper just stood there in amazement of Josh, at how quickly he mastered his dual ended scythe. Then he said "Josh have you ever used a scythe before?". Josh replied in mid swing "no I have not, this is my first time". Josh then said, after he brought his scythe to a stop "am I that bad?". The Grim Reaper just stood there shaking his head.
Star had to wait for the next full moon to use her key again. So she went and got some gifts for the new guy, that she hoped to see in two days. As she walks into town she started to wonder what this guy might like. So she goes and gets some necklaces with skulls on, a bracelet with the word angelic demon stamped on it and some chocolate. Star was so excited to see this new guy so, the next day to her seemed like nothing. Once the full moon had reached the highest point in the sky, Star used her key to open up her way to the nexus. Once she had got to the nexus she ran starlight the the Grim Reapers office to report a successful mission, she's also going to ask what the new guy was like whilst she was gone. She was in front of the same doors, that Josh stood in front of two day's ago. She walks in and say to the Grim Reaper "the mission is complete sir, so how was the new guy in the training room?". The Grim Reaper had to think about what he had to say carefully. So he said "Josh is doing amazing, he mastered his weapon in a single day. I think you will like him, as you two will become partners, when there is a mission". Star was excited and a bit shocked at what she was just told. As she preferred to work on missions alone, but nether the less if he is doing as well the Grim Reaper has said he's doing. She will let him join her on the next mission.
Since it was night time in the human world, Josh was sound asleep waiting for morning to come. For Josh the past few day felt like a blur so much had happened in so little time. He met the Grim Reaper, had a weapon made for him, mastered his weapon in about a day and was told he would have a partner. Once Josh had fallen asleep, time rushed on with out him. There were no alarms to worry about as Josh had taken the battery's out of them. The alarm that seemed to die on the night before getting his key, was his cat. The cat did not die, it just seemed to of wandered off at some unknown hour and not come home. That was until Josh heard scratching on his door that woke him up. As he got up he looked at the time it was mid-night. So Josh was slightly annoyed, but he went anyway and opened his door. Only to find his cat looking up at him, the cat then went under his legs and to his basket.
Morning felt like any other morning, but Josh knew where he could go for five to 10 minutes once he got dressed and got everything else sorted for that day (5 to 10 hours, nexus time). So he got up and out off bed again and got dressed. Putting on his favourite wolf shirt, his favourite jeans that had a lightning pattern on the back, to top it all of his favourite thumb rings, the first one was made out of metal and had paw prints on it and inside of the ring it had "Canis Lupus" carved in to it the other ring had 3 blue crystals sticking out of it. Once Josh was dressed he went downstairs and had his breakfast. Just as he was about to use the key his mum stopped him and asked "Josh if your going out, can you go to Tesco's to get some bread". So instead of heading to the the nexus he went and got some bread. Once he had got the bread he rushed off home, then headed off to the nexus again. Once Josh got to the nexus, he went straight to the Grim Reaper office to get today's training seclude. As he walked in he noticed a girl sitting in the chair opposite to the Grim Reaper, so Josh sat in the other chair and started to wonder who this person was. The Grim Reaper went onto saying "hello Josh this is you partner Star, I know you would like to test each other abilities to see who is better". The Grim Reaper paused for a second and continued "yet so is life, another mission has come up and I need the both of you to handle it. Both Josh and Star and Josh just sat their nodding. Then the Grim Reaper went onto saying "your mission has two parts to it one is to capturer an evil soul, the other is to destroy that same soul". Then the Grim Reaper said "you will find the lost soul at one of the closed down mental institutions, at the edge of Stafford".
Whilst Josh and Star geared up. They put on what armour they needed. Josh's armour was pitch black on the part that covered the back where silver paw prints, Josh also had to ware a jacket to cover up his scythe holder. The holder was mad out of thick leather, so the blades of the scythe where not going to stab him. Stars armour was made out of hardened silk but only a thin lay off it so it would be easy to move around on. The holder for her gun was at the side that was was made out of leather. They both managed to fir their armour on and hide it with ease. Star asked "what sort of weapon do you use?". Instead of saying Josh just showed her the dual ended scythe, then folded it away. Then Josh asked "what weapon do you use?". So Star did the same as Josh did and showed him her gun.
As they were about to leave, Star went and grabbed the gifts. Then both Josh and Star left for the human world. As both Josh and Star stepped through the portal, the Grim Reaper sat in his office thinking aloud "I hope those two get along, as their will be plenty more battles ahead".
Whilst both Star and Josh were walking around, Star gave Josh the gifts she brought yesterday. Josh liked the bracelet, so he put it on right away. Then they got to talking about how they should complete the mission. Josh said "maybe we should go to the one near the prison?", Star replied after some thought "yeah it sounds like a plan,but wait how are we meant to get into that place?". Josh then said "it's shut down, so none of the police go in there to check it, so it will be the best place to find this dark soul". So they head off in the direction of the mental institution.
Upon arrival they had to get past a ancient fence, then find a way in to the mental institution. Josh asked "why not just use the front door, it would be easy enough to brake the lock with my scythe". Star said "yer but what's the fun in that and anyway, we have got to save our strength to find and capture the dark soul". Star took a quick breather and then said "we don't know what sort of demons are after that soul, let's just hope there isn't any summoners those things are horrid".
They found a small open window that looked as if any touched it, it would just break. As there was not enough room for Josh to get in with the window in his way so he just broke it and thrown it to one side. Josh got in first, had a look around then said up to star "it all clear" what josh did not notices is that star was about to land on josh. With a big thud Star landed on josh. Josh winced in pain and then yelled "get the hell of me!". Star had not noticed that she had landed on Josh and jumped when she heard him yell from beneath her once both Star and Josh had gotten up they looked around. Josh noticed a cloaked figure, it looked like the Grim Reaper. As Josh crept slowly towards the figure it became clear that this thing was not the Grim Reaper. Josh turned around slowly and scampered back towards Star as quickly and as quietly as possible. Once Josh has got back to Star, he asked "what on earth is that thing and why is it making a hissing?". Star shrugged her shoulders and said "I don't know and I do not intend to find out the hard way". So she got up, then they both walked slowly towards the creature and said "you there, what are you". The creature replied with out turning around "I am a Gatekeeper, I forever guard this place and the dark soul that lives here". The creature stopped and then added "what are you and how are you able to see me?". This time only Star spoke "we are helpers of the Grim Reaper, we were sent here to capture and destroy the dark soul and most probably take you to the Grim Reaper". As Josh tried to get a better look at the creature, he noticed that it was just staring into space. So Josh waved his hand in front of the Gatekeepers face. The Gatekeeper seemed scared, when Josh wave his hand in front of his face as he put his hands up to protect himself. Josh said "I'm not going to hit you I just wanted to see if you could move, sorry if I scared you". The Gatekeeper said "its not your fault as the last place I guarded I kept getting hit". Star then said "well you won't have to go through that again, if you come with us and help us find the dark soul, we promise to find you some where were you can get some sun right Josh?". Josh just nodded. The Gatekeeper sounded relived and removed his hood, to show he reptilian face. Both Josh and Star just stood there in amazement. Both Star and Josh were amazed to the fact the he looked like a lizard, but he stood on two legs. The Gatekeeper said "if we stand here any long I'm sure demons will appear, so let go to the dark soul". So all three ventured off to get the dark soul.
