The second chapter in the Exotic Dragon Maid.

The hog slaver was livved! He was tearing up his office, which looked little more than a room in a dirty, dingie sack. He was throwing papers everywhere, and they would float like leaves down on the ground. The walls were made of tin, and the sides were oozing with filth and brown mold.

"What do you mean Rattus stole her from me!" said the hog.

Hysterium said, "Master Porque1, it was as you said, I was going to prepare her for market. About two hours later, Rattus came in and took her away."

The hog slaver, now known as Porque, said, "Hysterium, you were supposed to keep an eye on her! Now you must face the penalty."

Hysterium had a look of fear on his face. "Please, don't sell me, Master! Haven't I been loyal to you? Haven't I taken care of your slaves for market to make sure they were dressed sexily? I'm a good servant, master! Truly I am!"

Porque then got his whip and pulled on it until it made creaking sounds. "Pull down your loincloth, Hysterium, because it's time for your punishment."

The dragon princess was being led through the streets by Delton. It wasn't a perfect time to be a Princess and then stolen by Hog slavers. She was naked, had wonderfully blue scales with a greenish tint to them. She had the head of a dragon on a humanoid body, with breasts and a voluptuous shape that any sultry femme fatale from the movies would have. She had a fin leading from the top of her head down to her tail, and her tail was slim and long.

However, days of not eating has slimmed her a bit. She had deep blue eyes, and when Rattus took her away from that filthy environment that Porque ran -- with the help of the humanoid jackrabbit Hysterium -- this human bought her and led her to an uncertain fate. She had cried on his shoulder wondering what was to be come of her. Still, she innately felt that this human had nobility of character. Nonetheless, he bought her and he was the third master she had.

Delton was a white skinned human with deep, peircing blue eyes. Short, dark brown hair with reddish tints. He wore something akin to a World War II Bomber Jacket, blue jeans, a white shirt, and tennis shoes. The princess had to trust him. After initial processing she found that she could understand his speech.

"You have to eat," he said.

"I have not seen my family in so long," said the princess slave.

Delton led her to a seafood restuarant. "Fish and chips, please. Three baskets," said Delton to the human who was managing the outside eatery.

The manager started to cook the fish and chips. Delton turned to her. "So, you were stolen from your family?"

"Yes, I was," said the Princess.

"You must have loved your family very much," said Delton.

The girl said, "I had a wonderful father, and a wonderful mother. I am the third born princess daughter of a powerful dynasty where I was from. I was given every luxury, sir. Then Porque came and took all of that away from me. I was, or still, heartbroken. When the one who I was stolen for came to collect me, he said I was a pitiful creature and told Porque that he had no taste."

Delton said, "That's very sad," he said. "I should return you."

"Nay, that would be valiant," said the princess. "But I wish to fulfill my contract. You have bought me, I am your slave. I will do what ever you wish."

"Still, a broken heart is no laughing matter," said Delton. "People waste away with a broken heart. Surely you were shown some more kindness with Rattus."

"He moved me into better quarters," said the princess. "But whether my quarters are flithy or fit for a courtesan queen, I am still not going to see my family again." The princess looked like she was going to cry at that point.

The person delivered the fish and chips, three bowls full, and Delton paid for the bowls of fish and chips. Delton gave the fish of two bowls to the princess, taking her chips. "You beter eat," said Delton in a kind but matter of fact way. "Or you will have no chance of seeing your family."

The princess nodded and started eating the fish. "Eat all of it," said Delton. The princess nodded with the command and started eating all of it. Every bit of fish, ravenously. Delton just ate his fish and chips, slowly. He was glad to have gotten the princess to eat again.

"What is your name?" asked Delton.

"Call me what ever you wish," said the princess. "I am your slave, I'll be called by whatever. Besides, I don't think you could pronounce it."

"I think I'll call you . . . " Delton had to think. But one name came to him. "Asilah."

"What does it mean?" asked the sea dragon princess.

"One of noble origin, pure," said Delton.

The princess smiled. She liked it, in fact she could have blushed. "Thank you, Master. I shall be called Asilah."

"I'm glad you've liked it," said Delton.

They continued to eat their dinner. She smiled. The name fit her very well. Perhaps her new Master wouldn't be so bad after all. After all, Master Delton smiled to her as they ate. She looked out and saw a wonderful view. The coast of the Vegal Sea looked wonderful in the night. Vega was dipping low in the sky. And the beautiful sky turned a brillant wash of yellows, oranges and reds. Life couldn't have painted a better picture for the moment. For the first time, someone outside of her family didn't demean her because of how she dressed -- because she refused to dress. But recognized that she was noble and pure in her own right. She ate the fish more slowly as Delton ate her chips, in order to savor the moment. She was Asilah, now. She still felt homesick, but this helped her find her need.

After a while, they returned to his ship, the Magellan. However, what they see was not what they hoped to see. The hog slaver, Porque, with Rattus leashed to his side. The poor rat was stripped naked and a collar placed around his neck. "This is what happens to slave traders who double cross me," said Porque. "I am here to collect my princess back."

Asilah felt frightened. "So, this is what you do, eh?" said Delton. "You punish someone who was doing a good deed."

"No good deed shall go unpunished," quoted Porque.

Delton then said, "'Haud bonus res vadum vado impunitus.' What a terrible philosophy to live by, Porky. Why punish slave traders? They keep you in business."

Porque flinched. "What did you call me?"

"Porky."

"No one calls me Porky!"

"Well, si sandalium concordare, gero is," Delton siad.

Porque suddenly went red and launched all 250 pounds at the human. He roared, bringing powerful, strong sounds to his launching. In fact, he squeeled like an angry pig. In a flash, one could hear a snap hiss and a flash of light and Porque fell to the ground. And so did his left, hulking leg. The platform had a pool of red, pig's blood. Porque squealed like a stuck pig. Delton moved to the ready stance, his power sword glowing a beautiful blue.

"Anyone else want to challenge my swordsmanship?" asked Delton.

"He got the boss!" said one of the henchmen in fear.

"Run!" said the other, and soon they found themselves fleeing the scene.

Delton turned off the power sword, and it went into the hilt. He put the power sword back in it's place, on his belt. "Really, Porky, that's what happens when you inspire fear in your employees," he said to the squealing hog. "Your employees desert you in a time of crisis."

Delton walked over to Rattus to the stuck pig and grabbed the electronic key that was keyed to Rattus' collar and used it to deactivate his collar. The collar opened immediately. Rattus sighed a sigh of freedom. "Thank you, stranger, for saving my freedom," he said.

"No problem at all, Rattus," said Delton. "Return to your house and take the pig with you. Tell him I spared his manhood."

"I will do," said Rattus as he put a blood stop on the stump that was the ex-slaver's mid-thigh. "I owe you one, if ever you need another slave. Just ask. I'll give you the best for free."

"Well, now that the tables are turned, Rattus," said Delton.

Rattus finished, " . . . I gain control of his slaves."

Asilah looked at Delton with a sigh of relief. He defended her, and that meant he had the heart of a fine nobleman of her planet. She prayed that one day, she will see her parents again as the back of the Magellan came down admitting them access.

  1. Porque (PORE-kay) is obviously French, but please I'm not out to insult my distant cousins the French.
