_ Chapter 1:The Key _
Josh, was always a bit odd. He was a tall 15 year old. That never seemed to fit in anywhere, that was until he received a package. That would turn his world upside down.
Josh had been woken up again after his first alarm went of at 5 in the morning, the other alarm had died during some unknown hour late in the night. As he got out of bed, he looked around his room to see where his school books, he need for today. Most of it was scattered around his computer desk the rest off it was on his floor. Not bothering to pick it up, he took his wolf blanket and covered himself with it. Then he wondered downstairs to have some cereal and a warm cup of tea. Whilst eating alone he said to himself "I hope something interesting happens today, or else I'm going to go crazy because of how boring school is". Then it came to him, it was the start of half-term. Then someone (or something) knocked on the front door. Josh's mum answered the door. Josh heard a strange deep voice say "package for a .... J J Edensor", the strange thing is that every one who has tried to say his last name, has said it wrong, but the delivery man said it perfectly. Once Josh heard his name he peered around the door frame. He looked at the delivery man, he looked ancient, but what caught Josh's eyes was the delivery man's ring it looked like a pair scythe's, that were crossed over each other. The stranger left the package with Josh's mum and then left in a hurry. Josh's mum gave Josh the package and told him to get dressed. Once Josh got upstairs and into his bedroom. He made some space on his desk so he could place the package down. He then opened the package to find, a very strange and ominous looking key and a letter that said:
Dear Mr J J Edensor
You have been chosen along with lots of over people to decide who the last horseman (the ones of judgement day). Your key is one of a kind so if you lose it or if it has been stolen you will not get another one . Your key allows you access to the training grounds, use your key as soon as possible to find out what soul weapon you shall have.

The Grim Reaper
Josh did wonder if it was fake or not, that was until a small card fell out, it looked like a calling card, as it had the number 4746732737. He had no idea what to do, so he tried the number on the card, to see what would happen. Someone had picked up the phone and said in an ancient voice "Grim Reaper speaking, who may I ask is calling", Josh replied quickly as he was a bit nervous, as some stranger said they are the Grim Reaper. Josh said in a scared voice "it is Joshua James Edensor speaking, I got a letter from you I'm not sure what it means". The guy claiming to be the Grim Reaper said in a more merry, but still ancient voice "ah the letter, well basically you have been nominated as 1 of the 4 horsemen of the apocalypse, since one of them managed to kill himself by falling on his own weapon, so once you are free use that key".
It had been an hour since Josh's phone call had ended. He had no idea what to do, as he was shocked at what the stranger had said. So he went to try the key out, to find out what the the guy on the other side phone had told him was true....
As Josh took the case that surrounded the key off. Then it came to him, he had no idea what to do with it, as he was not told what the key unlocked. Only what would happen once he unlocked it. So he thought of lots of places a key can be used. In the end he went with the most reasonable idea a door. He hurried downstairs, after putting on his favourite shirt and a pair of jeans . His parents had all ready gone out half an hour before hand to and get some food for the barbecue. So no one would be able to see what was about to unfold. As he went to put the key into the lock, of the front door. It seemed to glow a very faint purple colour, that Josh did not notice. Once he had put the key in the door he heard a strange hissing noise. It sounded like a snake, but Josh did not want to stand around for to long as he wanted to see what was on the other side of the door. As he opened the door and stepped through the doorway, he came out into a place that looked like the Roman coliseum. But more up to date as it had computers and television screens of what seemed to show the main arena. It was hard to tell as some of the screens looked faulty as they flickered on and off, as if they where about to die. But what caught Josh's eyes were a giant pair of scythes crossed over one another, like the ring that the delivery man had on. They were above a gigantic wooden door, that looked so ancient that it could fall down any minute. Yet it seemed to be the only place that looked safe in the strange world. So Josh went in to have a look around. All he saw was a clocked figure, Josh could not see the face. The figure said to Josh "hello what do we have here, I'm guessing you're new here since you are not carrying a weapon of any sort, my I ask what might be you're name" the voice of the figure sounded familiar. Josh remembered, it was the same voice as the guy he heard on the phone. So he replied his tone waved in place, but you could still hear him say "Joshua Edensor, if I may, where are we and who the hell are you". The cloaked figure replied with a chuckle then went onto saying "I'm the Grim Reaper and what this place is called is the nexus, the place where all the dimensions cross at one point, this place is also the training ground and testing grounds of the four horsemen, since you seem to have a key, you're here to see about you're soul weapon, let see shall we? what sort of weapons do you like". Josh was shocked the question but the he thought of all the weapons he drew. Josh replied with his favourite top three weapons " I like dual ended scythes, dual swords and gun swords". The Grim Reaper gave Josh an odd look when he mentioned, gun swords but went on to saying "so either a dual ended scythe, or a pair of swords which one would you like". Josh went onto thinking of the modification's he could do with a scythe but not with a sword. So he said "I would like a dual scythe of my own design please", so the Grim Reaper gave Josh a piece of paper and a pencil that said on the side "soul pencil". Josh drew a dual ended scythe that had blade on either side of the snaith (the pole), the bottom half was the same. The blades pointed in two different directions one pointing up the other pointing down. At the middle of the snaith is a cross shape, surrounded by a circle. About half way between the blade at the top and the blades at the bottom. There are a pair of handles sticking out. Josh also drew a folded up version of his weapon, so he could carry it around easily.
