Nazia's Trip to Williamsburg

Ch.1 a traveling introduction

Today we left for my Aunt Sis's place in Williamsburg. It was a four hour trip and as if the temperature wasn't hot enough with us all crowded in a van under the burning sun, the air was broke. Sis isn't blood related to me (nor is Sis her real name, its Eunice) but she's the only member of my step dad's family who likes me they're all human and never really cared much for felines, especially mixed breeds. They call us trash and sometimes "a disgrace in god's eyes" my dad was a white tiger breed, and my mom half Russian wolf half regular black wolf. My older sister is only half related to me her dad was human and her appearance favors fully to him the only thing she has similar to my mom is her teeth and female physique. However my poor little sister (who is fully related to me) favors strictly towards my mom. She looks 100% wolf but she has a white tiger's tail. I've had to stand up for her a lot, her classmates call her "reject" and "screw up." They tell her things like "god didn't have enough fur to finish you so he just threw together the left overs." Our dad just passed away last year it's bad enough she has to deal with losing a parent at only the age of twelve as if she needs the stress middle school is bringing her. As for me my looks favor them both equally. My fur pattern fades from stripe on my limbs, and black to solid black on my stomach. If I don't trim my tail fur every so often it looks like a really long wolf's tail with a white tiger's stripes and a black tip.

I'm in my junior year of high school my little sister, Cheyenne, is in sixth grade. It can be hard being the only person on my school's robotics team with fur and a tail sometimes. Like when someone decides it would be funny to stick duct tape to the underside of tail when I'm off duty taking a little catnap. I would've clawed the crap out of them if not for the fact that the mentor was standing right the when I noticed the tape. But thankfully he did help me get payback. But that was last year and this trip to Williamsburg (which we take every year) will signify a new. The one drawback of the trip is that my family always wants to go to a water park every year it's the same argument.

I trod up to my mom "please tell me we're not going to the water park again this year." She always retaliates, "stop your nagging and get your swimming trunks packed . . . . besides what do you have against water parks," as if she really need ask. Me and my older sister, Cheryl hate water parks, Cheyenne on the other hand adores them (it makes no sense to me either). But this year Cheryl is taking me to the apothecary museum, in place of the waterpark. I'm not big on the renaissance, well except for Da Vinci who I see as my idol/inspiration, but it beats the water park. I just don't like getting splashed. I was really hoping my mate could come along on this trip but to begin with her family can't know we're together. And second her grandmother just got out of the hospital. Misty, my mate, is full house cat just your standard American Short hair. She's black with white spots; trust me I've seen that a majority of her body its covered in black fur. I love her with every fiber of my being and it kills me to be this far away even if only for four days.

She texted me this morning "good morning my sweet wolfie did you sleep well, I hope you have a good trip and I'll miss you mew <3"

To which I replied "I slept wonderful my sexy kitty I slept good hope you slept well too, and I'll try for you mrow <3."

Ch.2 the arrival of insomnia and a rude awakening

Somewhere between listening to metal and staring at the beautiful full moon, about the last hour of our trip, I went into a trance like state. Thankfully my step dad was driving because my mom too was staring blankly at the moon with almost the same gaze as I was. But I was staring at the moon not because my instincts told me to, but because it felt as if I was somehow indirectly looking into my mate's eyes, I felt at rest but not yet sleeping. Before I knew it we pulled up at Sis's house and even though my little sister had to climb over my mom and me, she was first to great Sis. The whole purpose of this year's trip was for Sis to meet the pup that was my nephew. He resembles my sister's fiancé more than the family, other than his tail which is weird because he doesn't have any fur other than his tail and his ears are more human like than anything. When we arrived it was so late that Riley, my nephew, was so tired he could barely walk. But after we settled in and I made my pile of covers in the floor into a cozy little cat bed, it seemed as if I couldn't sleep this was the first time I had ever felt like this at Sis's house. So I stayed up on my laptop and checked my Facebook and other accounts, and eventually decided id right down everything that has happened so I could type up the above info for my book I've been working on.

6:25 Am rolled around and I could hear the birds in the trees outside fighting which didn't help with the factor I was still trying to get a little sleep but couldn't. I set the laptop on the table and hit the "shut down" button shut the lid and rolled over, eventually I dosed off. I woke up the next morning drenched in sweat. My eyes were blurry, it was 9 am, and I could see some people around me, my step dad's family. About this time my nephew came running up to "Zia, Zia!! Up, up!!" I pushed him away "Riley I'm trying to sleep go away," about this time my mom grabbed ahold of my tail and yanked it a little "GET UP!!" I fell strait of the couch, causing a rattling of the chains on my pants and the leash loop of my collar hitting the studs on it. Pissed, I grabbed my pillow and walked outside laid down on the back porch hoping to at least get another hour of sleep, but it seemed like fate was against me that morning. My cousin threw a rock at me, "get up you stupid mutt!" Claws drawn and clenching the pillow I asked, "Ryan? Remind me, why I haven't killed you yet?" He stamped off into the house, I shortly fallowed behind after catching the smell of scrambled eggs and country ham.

I was greeted by Aunt Sis, "so did the puppy get a good sleep?" I just replied with a groaning sound.

"Ryan where's your mom at?" she called out. "In the landfill, where she belongs," I thought to myself.

"She's in the bathroom," Ryan sat down at the table across from me "why is that mutt at the table?"

"Why isn't your mouth stitched together," I mumbled.

"What was that?!" he stared at me aggravated saying this.

"Oh nothing, Sis please pass the eggs," she passed them over smiling at me.

"I hate you," Ryan muttered as he scooted in his chair.

I just flipped him off smiling "love ya cuz-o," as I stuffed my face when the country ham.

Ch.3 Solitude

After we ate breakfast at my Aunt's we decided to go check into the motel. We all loaded up in the van, a small six passenger van. After about five to ten minutes of riding down the main strip we pulled into the parking lot of a holiday in express. Mark, my step dad, checked us in while we unloaded the luggage. Unfortunately the reservation was set to the smoking wing. My mom, Mark, and me stayed in one room while my sisters and Josh, my older sister's fiancé, stayed in the room next door with my nephew. The others unpacked their stuff while I just left everything in my duffle bag, except for my laptop.

"Why don't you ever unpack your clothes? Every time we go on vacation you don't bother unpacking." My mom called out to me.

"Because it's just a waste of time," I remarked with a slight twitching of my tail

She said "Just like you're damn daddy" playfully kicking at my hand from the other bed.

"Yup" I jumped off the bed then stretched.

About this time my step dad joined in on the conversation. "Hey we're heading to the beach you coming or do you just want to stay here?"

"No, I'll stick here" ,I responded without even needing a second to think.

I like the sand and skim boarding, but I didn't have my board. And besides , I'd rather get on IMVU and chat with my mate than get salt water in my eyes and spend hours in the shower getting sand out of my fur. "Well if you get bored they have a workout room and they have wifi, love you be safe and if you get hungry there's a restaurant next door, use your card," my mom quoted as she walked out the door. She poked her head back in "and if you go out be sure to take you knife with you." I flicked open my knife "Don't I always keep it on me? Love you too." She shut the door and I locked it behind her. I started up my laptop and logged onto Facebook, imvu, my sofurry.com account, as well as my many other accounts. None of my friends were on except for my free running buddies. About this time I got a text from an old friend who had moved up here shortly after fifth grade. He goes by the nickname Rainua. The text said "Hey Nazia I see you it's me Rainua."

I texted him back "Long time no see, and how the hell can you see me I'm four stories up and how'd you get my number?"

"That's not important, and look out your window" he replied leaving a "X3" face after his message.

I pulled myself to the window to see the figure of a thin scrawny artic fox on the roof of a building three buildings from the motel. My phone started ringing, it was him. I picked it up "get your half N' half arse over here right now,"

"Like you have room to talk, and why did you dye your tail tip pink."

"Oh that, yeah I lost a bet to Rachel." He said with a slight sigh.

"Ha-ha, how's that beach bunny doing?" I managed to laugh out

"Me and her are together now, well if you get over here we'll go see her." He said as he hung up.

Ch.4 Fly or Fall

I pulled the screen from the window, after un-locking the dead bolt to the door. The next building over was about three stories high and had a couple of mattresses in the roof. Also it was a good ten feet away from my window. I put my back to the door, after slipping on my running shoes and gloves, and I took off, jumping out the window. The ground below me was all concrete, my heart started racing and I thought to myself "I'm a fucking idiot, is this how it ends me failing to make it to the next building?" Even though I felt like I was going to die I felt so alive again. I looked at the building I was jumping to and saw that the matrasses were getting closer. And soon I felt my toes touch the matrasses and I rolled across the matrasses onto the bare roof. I got up and took off running again.

I didn't take any injuries, thankfully. The next building over was only three feet away but the was a fenced cage that took up the half furthest from me. As I was running I saw a metal pipe, I grabbed it and used it to pole-vault over the fence. The other side of the fenced cage had not fence wall and there was a plank laying across to the building Rainua was on. As I approached him he dropped off the side of the building onto the building's vents and slid down the latter. I followed closely behind. He called up to me "You gettin' sloppy N." I dropped off the latter onto the street level "Well living in the county for six years doesn't help."

Ch.5 Wait so the magician is the rabbit?

We walked about a mile and stopped at a gas station for a drink. I picked up a monster and walked up to the counter. As the Ferret at the counter rug up our drinks I pulled out my wallet. I opened it only for a black fur covered hand to stop me. I turned back to see it was Rachael. She hugged me and said "This one's on me think of it as a late birthday gift." She flipped out a wad of cash and paid for the drinks.

"How the hell did you get so much cash!?" I exclaimed.

"Sellin' myself out," she stuck her tongue out at me and squinted, "nah I'm kidding I'm a magician at parties and stuff"

"Oh cool, I can do a few illusions and stuff myself." I said as I popped the cans tab.

"I know I've seen you on Facebook videos a few times." She stated as she slipped the wad of cash back into her pocket.

We walked for a few hours before I spotted and arcade. I came to a dead, they didn't notice and walked for another five feet. Rachael's voice slowly faded "Nazia? Oh god . . . .he spotted the arcade." Ive always loved the arcade, it was my sanctuary. It always seemed like No matter how down I was the arcade would pick me right back up, plus it helped that there were little to no humans in the arcades usually. I always play either DDR or a shooter game like area 51, I love the lights and music of the arcades. Slowly I started to come out of my comma like state and heard Rachael "You wanna go play some games like the old days?" Without thinking I took off running to the arcade. "I'll take that as a yes," they came running in after me panting. Rainua managed to pant out, "Damn it Nazia you need to slow down a little."

Ch.6 dance the night away

As soon as I opened the doors I came face to face with the most holy thing on this earth. There was a metal cased DDR station like in the arcade they used to have in my hometown's arcade. I walked over and dropped in some quarters and Rachael walked over and jumped onto the other dance pad. "Like old times huh?" She smiled then dropped in two quarters I selected the song and my difficulty, hardcore. She selected the same difficulty, the countdown started. The intro notes drop down the screen" left...left...left right ...left right... then left and right then into an onslaught of steps." The songs intro had fewer steps than I was used to. But it start to pick up, I hit every note perfect as did she. About mid-way through I notice she missed only one note, as did I. When the song had ended we awaited the results "player 1 (me) 95% ...player 2 (her) 92%)" come to find out she had missed just one note more than me.

As usual it was a close game between me and her; she was always good at DDR. And as usual the loser bought lunch; she treated us out to some pizza. Thankfully even though her family are vegetarians she isn't, the pizza had pepperonis and sausage with a stuffed crust. As I was reaching over for a slice I looked over at Rainua "you okay man you haven't said much all day?"

He yawned "yeah I've just gotten where I don't talk much."

"Well I guess that change was for the better . . . when we were little you talked all the time."

"Fuck you ha-ha." He said flipping me off smiling.

"Nah I'm good my mate might get mad," I said biting off a slice of the pizza.

"So who you with?" Rachael added in.

"Her name is Misty we've been together a few months now. She's a cat." I described her out to them.

"Ha should've known you'd be with the emo house cat with a kid. Not trying to be offensive." She said while picking up her drink.

"So I guess this means the heart Ex-heartbreaker isn't tired of chasing tail just yet?" Rainua popped back into the conversation.

I had managed to get out "Actually yeah I am. . ."before I got interrupted by Rainua.

"Please don't tell me what I think you're going to say!!" blurted out Rainua cutting me off halfway through my sentence.

". . . well I am. . . I'm going to ask her to marry me, I think she'd make the perfect life mate and I love Amelia like she's my own." I finished my sentence and slice.

"Well I'm happy for you Nazia," Rachael remarked. We finished with the pizza and walked back out into the arcade next door, which was now getting slightly crowded by many different species of furs as well as a few humans.

Ch.7 A new friend

The sun was hiding behind the various hotels and business of the horizon, and the sky had faded golden orange. I checked my phone and saw it was now 7:30 so I decided to get back to the motel. "Well I guess I'll see you later I need to get back before my family does heh," I announced as I walked off. They agreed as they headed in their direction, "yeah we'll see ya later remember to call sometime!!" It felt good to talk to them after so long, but all I could think about at that point was both my mate and getting a shower. Yeah I know it's a contradiction for a feline to like showers. Truth is I love water, just not getting splashed or dunked. I got back to the motel about an hour later, thanks to running; I got in the elevator and pushed the button labeled "4". It stopped on the next floor where a family of three raccoons crammed into the elevator with me. The youngest one, an eight year old boy from the looks of him, looked up at me then tugged his mom's shirt saying "mommy he looks funny why he look like a wolf but with tiger fur?" The mom looked at me and smiled and apologized, I told her it was okay. She kneeled down and scolded the boy for what he had said, he then looked up at me "I'm sorry mister." About this time the elevator stopped on the fourth floor and the doors opened, I let the family pass by first. I slipped out the doors and walked up to my room and swiped the card to get into my room. As I opened the door I saw my step dad and mom sitting on the bed, they look like they had been waiting for me.

"Where the hell have you been?" my step dad blurted at me as my foot came through the door.

I got this annoyed look on my face, "I told you I was out with some friends," I pulled out my phone and opened the message and showed it to them.

"I never got it," he screamed out at me.

"Ummm Mark," my mom turned on her phone," he did send it."

"Now leave me alone," I said as I walked off to my bag and grabbed my swimming trunks.

I walked into the bathroom and changed into them. "I'll be in the pool," I walked out the door and packed into the elevator, again running into the raccoon family. "Why is there a collar on you? Do you belong to someone?" the little boy was pointing up at my neck then said "look mommy!" I explained to him it's how I let people know that I'm with someone very special to me. "What's the tag say mister?" I kneeled down while laughing, showing it to him then said "It says who my mate is and lists her number in case something happens." me and him laughed a little about it then he said "When we was in the room sissy said that you wore it because you wolves should have to wear them because you're stupid and can't remember where you live."

"I've told you not to listen to your sister!!!" his mom blurted out as she popped his butt, "keep it up and you can't get in the pool."

The elevator reached the last floor and I stepped out accompanied by the family, who was also going swimming. I opened the door to the pool room and let the family go in ahead of me. Thankfully the pool wasn't too crowded. The pool was indoor so the water was rather comfortable I put my collar, phone and towel in the chair opposite of the door and dove right into the pool. I came back up to the surface and wiped my hair back, the water tasted like it came directly from the beach. I was sitting there floating when all of a sudden I heard "Cannon ball!!!!" I looked over only fast enough to catch a glimpse of the raccoon boy in the air curled up, and before I had time to look a wall of water flowed over me.

The boy swam over to me finally introducing himself," My names James. That's my mom, Terry, my dad George and my twin sister Alex. My real name is Jamey but everyone calls me James."

So I introduced myself, "My real name is Clayton but my friends and family call me by Nazia, I prefer over my real name I don't know why. So what happened to your older sister?"

"She decided she didn't want to waste her time swimming with us?" the boy said gaining a dull look.

"Hey don't worry man I know how you feel my older sis used to never want to do anything I did." I playfully messing up his hair, he laughed, as did I.

About this time my phone went off, it was my mate. Immediately as the phone started to play the song "candyland" by B.O.T.D.F., I knew it was her. I jumped out of the pool and dried my hands then grabbed it and read the message, she texted "Hey babe enjoying yourself in the pool?"

A little freaked out by the fact she knew what I was doing I replied "Hey my sexy kitty, and how did you know I was in the pool?"

"Aren't you always in the pool at a motel? You forget babe I know you pretty well." She commented with a "XP" smiley.

"True. Love you baby girl I'll txt you in a few minutes ok?" I added.

She sent, "Love you too and ok."

Ch.8 Past Relations

I walked up to the room, after snatching up my belongings into the towel. I went to the elevator and there was a sign "Out of order." Well I was left with only the option, to take the stairs. As I walked up the stairs I was thinking that something about the older sister of the raccoon boy look familiar, but I couldn't quite figure it out. About half way up the sister, Alex was coming by me and she stopped me on the way.

"Look I just wanted to let you know I'm sorry about what I told my little bro to tell you." She said gripping onto my arm.

"It's fine," I announced slightly chuckling.

"Do you remember me?" she said raising an eyebrow, I could tell by the look she had that I was giving off the fact that I was wondering why she seemed familiar.

"Not really but I feel like I should, did you go to Grove Park?" I said, looking at her with my head slightly cocked to the side.

Laughing she said. "Actually yeah, my last name is Wells, you better remember me."

As I started into the mixed expression of embarrassment and joy I remembered "Alexus!!! Where have you been?"

She busted out in laughter "About time!! My family moved to North Carolina after we left Grove Park."

"Oh, nice so why did you tell your family that crap that your little brother said?" I inquired.

She crossed her arms, "Well I heard you lived near Chatham and I thought since we're coming back to Danville, I'd keep the fact that me and you knew each other secret so that maybe . . . . " she blushed and looked at the ground.

". . . maybe me and you could give our relationship one last try? I know it's been so long and all but . . . " I cut her off before she could finish by pulling up my collar.

"Oh I'm so sorry I didn't mean . . . . " she started to cry and hugged onto me, "it's just that every relationship I've been in after you just wasn't the same, and I was hoping that maybe if we gave it one last try then, I could stop wondering what would have been."

I rubbed her head "look you'll find the right mate I promise you. But me and you, I'm sorry but it wasn't going to work out well from the start, we can still be friends but the girl I'm with now is the one I want to stay with . . . . We're even engaged."

She wiped her tears "Thanks, Nazia. Do you still go by that?" I nodded and asked her if she wanted to catch up over some ice-cream, she agreed. She texted her mom, "I'm going out for ice-cream I'll be back before twelve," after getting the "ok" we headed up to my room where she waited in the computer chair for me to finish changing. I stepped out of the bathroom with my white tripp pants on and a deathnote t shirt. She got up a walked over to the door and walked out "let's go grandpa." Funny thing is she's a month older than me. We walked down the street talking about how middle school went and how high school is going. Multiple times she asked me what Misty was like and so forth. The conversation had depressing part such as my dad's passing and her aunt being crippled from a factory accident, but overall it was nice to catch up. About thirty minutes passed by and we had just showed up at the ice cream place. She ordered a chocolate shake, I ordered vanilla. We sat down on a bench and continued talking about what had happened in our lives. My phone went off, it was Misty calling.

"Hey babe, how are you?" I said as I leaning over with the phone pressed against my face.

"I'm good just watching Amelia play, what about you my sexy wolfie?" she answered.

"Wonderful, been thinking about you all day."

"Oh really, what about?"

"Just how much I miss you my sexy kitty babe," I got up from the bench and told Alex I'd be back in a second as I stepped into the dark.

"Awe I love you baby," Misty said aloud over the phone.

"Love you too my sexy kitty. Hey can I call you when I get back to the motel room babe, I'm kind of catching up with an old friend?"

"Sure thing my sexy wolfie, bye." She hung up the phone.

Me and Alex finished up our milk shakes as I looked at the clock on my phone "11:00 pm." "Hey Alex if we're gonna get back in time we best get goin'." She nodded her head in agreement; as she got up and followed me off out from under the street light back toward the motel. We walked for about another thirty minutes, but we reached the motel with thirty minutes to spare. We walked to her motel room; there was a note on the TV. It read "Alexus we're going a late movie be safe lock the door, Love mom + dad." She plopped down on the bed, she lead forward glaring at me with an intense gaze. It was then that I realized the weirdly familiar sweet smell of someone in heat was her.

Ch.9 a close call

She stood up and walked over to the door, shut it, and locked it. I repositioned myself in the chair, feeling in an awkward disposition. She walked over and sat on the side of the bed closest to the chair I was in, leaning forward to me with her hands gripping the edge on the bed between her legs. I could feel myself start to break a sweat. Maybe she wouldn't notice, but apparently she did, she was blushing so much I could see it through her fur. "I don't think you want to do what you're thinking, Alex," I said shifting in my seat.

She gazed into my eyes, "I've been wanting to since we met each other, after all I owe you for saving me from that ass hole I was with back then."

She started to reach down for the base of her shirt, I grabbed her hand stopping her, "no you don't, I'm engaged I can't do this I'm sorry but I'm happy with Misty she's been wonderful, and honest to me so I think it's only right that I do the same for her."

She looked down sobbing, "I'm still a virgin and I wanted it to be you who took that."

I placed my hand on her shoulder, "I can't do that, you are a very beautiful girl but you need to save that for that one special one for you, I have a fiancé it's just not meant to be between us. I'm not going to lie you're not really in love with me and I'm not in love with you, you're just confused right now, and full of lust and mixed emotions."

She wiped her tears away, "thanks that really help." She leaned over hugging me. "You know I'm moving back to Danville maybe we could hang out sometime."

I sat up, "yeah sure we could, and I know a guy I think you would go good with here," I pulled out a sharpie and wrote down a number, "his name is Tristan. He's had about the same hard time finding a mate gives him a call tomorrow, tell him I told you to call."

"Thanks Nazia, heh looks like I owe you another favor," she said smiling.

"Well I best be getting back to my room, good night," I said walking over to the door opening it.

"Good night Nazia," she said smiling up at me waving.

Ch.10 the last night in the hotel

I pulled out my cell when I stepped into the elevator and called Misty back. I told her about the entire day, including the close call with Alex. She was happy that I didn't go with the flow on that incident. But over all we just talk about the usual, how our day was and everything. I was getting rather tired and decided to head on to bed and told misty I loved her and goodnight as usual. I curled up in the chair in my hotel room and plugged up my phone to the charger. As I pulled the sheet over me I had mixed emotions of joy and sorrow as the thought, "tomorrow I'll be heading home and going back to school Monday." I was glad to be getting back to my house and closer to my mate, but sad that I'd again be away from my old friends and going back to school.

Ch.11 The departure

I was awoken by the mixed sounds of my phone's alarm and the shower. My eyes cracked open only to see my nephew looking at me rubbing my head. I pushed his arm off of me, and sat up. "Morning already," I asked standing up stretching. I walked down stairs to the lobby for the breakfast bar. There wasn't a single person in sight, I grabbed a bagel and a cup of apple juice then sat at one of the tables. All of a sudden a white tiger guy, who looked very tired, sat down across from me. "Hey there," he said with a slight jittery stutter.

"Ummmm hey?" I said filling my mouth with bagel.

"Oh I'm so sorry where are my manners, my name is Charles he said reaching out his hand to me." He was dressed like he was here on business or something.

"Call me Nazia." I said reaching up shaking his hand with still focusing on the bagels in front of me.

"I'm sorry that I'm acting so excited it's just that since I came here I haven't seen a single white tiger," he said scratching his head grinning.

I could tell from his accent he was from Germany, "so you're not from America huh? Germany?"

"Wow how'd you guess?" he said leaning over the table.

Without looking up I said, "I have a few foreign friends from Germany that go to my school."

"So are you from the area?" he asked.

"If I was I wouldn't be in this motel would I?" I said with a slightly annoyed face.

"I guess not," he said scratching his chin. "Well It was nice meeting you Nazia."

"Likewise," I said shaking his hand one final time before chugging down the rest of my juice and walking off. "I apologize for leaving so abruptly but I'm leaving for my hometown today and I have to hurry and pack, bye."

I walked up to my room making sure to stop by Alex's room and saying goodbye. She gave me her number in case I got bored and wanted to text someone on the way home. I went into my room changed clothes and packed up my stuff making sure to leave out my clip board so I could draw on the trip home. We signed out and loaded up to the van. We were headed back to Chatham it was almost a shame to leave. . . .almost.
